osazsky:It wasn't Buhari that told us GEJ was corrupt! Those of us who had eyes at the time saw GEJ's regime was corrupt ourselves! |
Mistaicey2288:Another good one. Corruption. Lots of evidence of it. And he resigned to avoid persecution. A similar example is Netanyahu of Israel, who's yet to resign and is still playing the religious card in hope he'd survive. You got any evidence of corruption against bubu? |
osazsky:I think they are clowns. It's not their job to determine guilt. |
ernieboy:Richard Nixon was about to be impeached and resigned to avoid being imprisoned for criminal offences! Bubu is way far away from that. No one has even begun impeachment proceedings against him yet! Good example though, but not quite accurate. |
ernieboy:Name one president who resigned because they performed woefully. |
osazsky:I did read it and I saw evidence for what I read in ghanamustgo bags and soakaways full of dollars, pounds and euros! And there's been a lot of third party and foreign collaboration of what I read and saw. And ordinary common sense tells me GEJ did not do much good from the revenue of crude oil that was selling at record highs during his time. But, hey! You believe what you want. I'm just glad most don't believe what you seem to believed or we'd probably be killing each other for food by now if the GEJ regime had gone on another 4 years! |
myobjective:Don't mind them. People are here talking as if only the North voted for Buhari or he rigged it when he was obviously voted in by the majority of voters all over Nigeria. |
osazsky:You should not believe everything you read. |
CanadaOrBust:You still on this your anything is possible! I wonder if you can be 2000 miles from where you are right now. |
osazsky:It don't matter why you yell resign! That's not the way to remove a president in a democracy! And for your information, Buhari did not release terrorists neither. Those released were suspects rounded up by soldiers who were angry some of their own were killed. And if you know anything about angry soldiers you'd know they rounded up everyone they could get their hands on whether terrorists or guilty or not! |
gypsey:Anyone can call for a president to resign. Just go listen to the millions calling on Trump to resign. But I'm sure you'd agree they can huff and puff as much as they want and even go much further and impeach him if they want but be very surprised when he gets a second term. |
loschivatos:No it isn't. Please go back to school and learn the proper way to do things or bubu will serve a third term due to your ignorance! |
sulaak:Please note. Impeach is not the same as a resignation. |
Stand there spitting. I'm sure you believe that is what will get Buhari out, while smarter people will be working hard with their brains trying to get the opposite of what you want. Temptee101: |
sulaak:You want to give me an example of this please? |
Amotolongbo:Other nations except the United States of America!
|
OLAADEGBU:Good to know no one believes nothing can create an explosive event then. It is an absurd view to think there was nothing then, bang! |
BeLookingIDIOT:No one said popularity means it's true. And I don't argue, I discuss. But only with those capable of comprehension, and definitely not with those who can't read and comprehend. So, could you start by explaining to me what you consider untrue about the subject at hand, with specific reference to what you responded to in my statements if you may. |
FOLYKAZE:So, you admit that despite "the messenger [maybe] a hoax", the philosophical thoughts shake the whole world. Do you realise you are saying that even though the stories about the messenger may be a hoax, the message itself is plausible? |
Love this "because a Creator is ignored, then it is taught (or inferred) that everything somehow came from nothing in a big explosive event. That is an overtly religious position, because one must have a substantial measure of faith to believe that something can come from nothing". Only creationists can possibly believe nothing can create an explosive event.

So, all this wahala already and you still want to marry her? I'm a strong feminist, the sort who will tell you some men are pigs, but in your case I just have to say you have no sense because if you did you'd dump this woman and be out there looking for one who appreciates you for who you are and for what you do. |
dairykidd:Simple, elegant, and healthy! |
They need to be educated that you vote people out in a democracy and not just stand there wailing "resign"! |
nony43:Actually, the price of local rice has gone up, making schoolfees easier to pay for local farmers to the extent that farmers in Thailand are now wailing while local farmers are rejoicing. So, true. Some hardworking people are indeed benefitting monetarily from border closure! |
sapientia:There are many sane Nigerians. Just that the hooligans and touts are louder. But that's just the more reason for us to not tire and be diligent. We will overcome in the end. |
GamalNasser:Sorry, but I rate your IQ score much higher than that which you display here, but I'm sure someone just hacked your account! There is no need to distort your wise views with abuse. Upgrade please. |
FOLYKAZE:Yes "the message is as important as the messenger", depending on the level that you are at. As I said, "Just as the Buddha is a massive part of the message of Buddhism as those who bother to study what we have of his life today would understand". You'd note that for some, the message is "the cross", or "accept Jesus into your life". This is a focus on the messenger, and you might detect them in their use of the word 'believe'. But for some, its way much deeper than that and involves an understanding of how the book and information therein came about, what its effect has been over time, what are the implications if its existence, why it has endured so long, what would the world be like if it didn't exist, are there similar texts, will there be other texts in the future, how does it motivate, and so on and so on. As is written therein, When John, who was in prison and heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples to ask him, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?” Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy b are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.” Essentially, each person understands (receives) according to their ability (and needs). So it would be rather pointless of either of us insisting our own understanding is the only understanding and that the understanding of the other "tastes bad". |
GamalNasser:As in, people will organise? Then God must have put bubu there because it sure is needed. Just imagine if we all organise on here for instance. Our words would be bullets and we will kill all evils! Amotekun, and Ogbunigwetekun, however, would not be us who [ought to be] using our brains and minds to make a difference, but brainless touts and hooligans, controlled by those we ought to be shooting down with our bullet words!
|
FOLYKAZE:The messenger is irrelevant, unless by messenger you mean God! You don't even know who the messenger is to be honest, because that could be the author of the scriptures you speak of and you don't exactly have much detail about those authors. But that still does not invalidate the message. It is still beneficial that we love our neighbours and our enemies moreso. You are likely thinking, no, the messenger is the Jesus Christ or the other characters in the book, but you would be missing the point that those people are actually part of the message, just as the Buddha is a massive part of the message of Buddhism as those who bother to study what we have of his life today would understand. I have a particular example you might want to consider. Please see this thread and let me know if you detect an error in perspective. Its one we call the strawman fallacy, as in, when one sets up one's own perspective and claims that is the only perspective everyone has and must have and there cannot possibly be any other. Another word for it is blindness, and its based on ones own narrow ignorant parochial view. You may see it in how the respondent points a finger at others without noticing his other fingers are pointing to himself. And despite how much we try to make him (and you) reflect and see what is meant, his response is "Budda would be a great magician. Pointing to the right when his trick is developing in the left", though I doubt you would understand the similarities. This is about the ability to read and understand. There are levels, and not everyone is on the same one. |
Ilu le o was released by Victor Olaiya in 1983. The first line of the song literally translates to: Town is hard, there is no money anywhere! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Vv0BOGDH5E May he Rip! |
Gordson:You must be a failure if you don't trust your merit. |

the problem is, will bubu resign? and oh! other presidents have been known to have resigned.
