“Man lies down and does not rise. Till the heavens are no
more, they will not awake nor be roused from their sleep. …
His sons come to honor, and he does not know it; they are
brought low, and he does not perceive it” (Job 14:12, 21).
“Nevermore will they have a share in anything done under the
sun” (Ecclesiastes 9:6).

“The living know that they will die; but the dead know
nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of
them is forgotten. Also their love, their hatred, and their envy
have now perished; nevermore will they have a share in
anything done under the sun. … There is no work or device or
knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are
going” (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10).
“The dead do not praise the Lord” (Psalm 115:17).

“Man lies down and does not rise. Till the heavens are no
more” (Job 14:12).
“The day of the Lord will come … in which the heavens will
pass away” (2 Peter 3:10).

The Bible Says
After death a person: returns to dust (Psalms 104:29), knows
nothing (Ecclesiastes 9:5), possesses no mental powers
(Psalms 146:4), has nothing to do with anything on earth
(Ecclesiastes 9:6), does not live (2 Kings 20:1), waits in the
grave (Job 17:13), and continues not (Job 14:1, 2).
For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return!

Says "Nigerian interest is in money and gadgets of all kinds.”

The Conservative party leader wrote in a diary piece for the Independent on Sunday in October 1999 that Tony Blair had made people feel good about getting rich.

He added: “All the young people I know – ie those under 30 – are just as avaricious as we flinty Thatcherite yuppies of the 1980s in fact, they have an almost Nigerian interest in money and gadgets of all kinds.”

With all the sun how many functional and practical solar public projects in Nigeria? Succeeded in Kenya not because of sun but because they didn't share the loot.

Nigeria still disqualified
Kenya is less corrupt than Nigeria, perhaps, or Kenyans are just more resourceful?

I'd like to disagree of course, but one can't deny the evidence I guess.

That's why Kenya is using solar power. Pity the sun doesn't shine on Nigeria.

Stop making a fool of yourself. This is not about eating grass now. First, we are addressing the issue of following the shepherd blindly.

The issue here is that Jesus supported blind faith. Believing without seeing.

Now, it is from there we get to the eating grass. Many christians then put their blind faith to pastors whom like Jesus, are messengers of God. Now, if the pastors tell them to eat grass, they will blindly follow like sheep.

And guess what? I never ate grass. Because I always questioned my faith.
You said you ate grass when you were a Christian! Are you now changing your mind?

If you believe Jesus asked you to follow without seeing, then so be it. Though, from our conversation so far, it was your pastor who told you to follow him blindly like sheep and eat grass, which if you had bothered to read your Bible you'd know Jesus in fact said "woe to them", and an intelligent person would take that as definitely open your eyes and see what you follow so you don't through your blindness and ignorance be made to eat grass like sheep.

Jesus clearly said;

Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed

This was during the doubting Thomas episode.

You sir, are a Christian that reads his bible upside down. How can you contradict what Jesus clearly said?

Shame.
First, I'm reading what is 'written' that Jesus said, and not "what Jesus clearly said", as you claim, since I'm certain you'd agree Jesus did not speak English and what I now read was written long after he might have said whatever he said. Second, what's wrong with using my mind to turn "bible upside down"? Is that not me using my God given senses?

Jesus never said - or shall I say, no where is it written that Jesus said you must just blindly eat grass and if you did eat grass then I suggest you turn your Bible upside down because you must have been reading it the wrong way up.

Christianity Etc › UK Church Under Investigation After Worshipers Accuse Tobi Adeboyega Of Fraud by budaatum(op): 7:38pm On Nov 27, 2019
AfricanGlitz:
Spac Nation, a popular church known for saving young black people from the life of crime in the UK is under police investigation. This comes after several months of allegations by former worshippers who said they have been brainwashed to spend money they didn’t have by the church pastors.
SPAC Nation has at least 23 houses run by pastor Tobi across London. The church which 55 per cent of its members are young people under the age of 30 welcomes at least one thousand members on a weekly bases. The church Sunday services take place in hotel venues and conference suites across London. Majority of the members of the church are former gang members who are looking for help and a new beginning.

SPAC Nation is found and run by Nigerian pastor, Tobi Afeboyenga age 39 in Croydon. He came to Britain in 2005 and until recently was living in a £2.5 million house in Surrey. Tobi is known for his lavish lifestyle of designers wear, expensive pieces of jewellery, Rolls-Royces worth over £150,000, Lamborghini with personalised ‘Pastor’ number plates to name a few. Wasnt the lesson of doubting Thomas about believing without seeing? Is that not promoting ignorance in the name of faith? Sheepishly believing what te holy man tells you without evidence.
No, the lesson of "Doubting Thomas" was not about believing without seeing. It is your own understanding that you must believe without seeing, and it seems like you transferred your believing without seeing to some "holy man" who made you eat grass and do those other things you said you did when you were a Christian.

If you think of it, Jesus would not have become flesh so that you may see what you believe in to begin with; you could have just gone on believing in the Unseen God. And Jesus would not have gone about healing the blind if he did not want them to use their eyes to see.

Below are alternative lessons learned from Doubting Thomas:

https://religionnews.com/2018/04/11/doubting-thomas-story-is-about-gratitude-not-doubt/

https://www.trusting-in-jesus.com/jesusandthomas.html

I'm beginning to think that when you were a Christian, your "holy man" was your God.

I did my best to punctuate that sentence, but it's wrong to you, and you insisted I read the OP, so I did. Having done that, I realised the sentence is: firstly, completely unconnected with the 'oxford comma', a terrible example to use the said comma in; secondly, it is a poorly-worded statement. Thus, except you explain that sentence or rewrite it, my punctuation remains. Only when either is done can it be properly punctuated.
Well done for reading the op. Note I called it a headfuq, as in very complex and not easily understood, though very well and thoughtfully written.

Please know that you are not wrong only according to me but also according to the op. The sentence is explained in it and even rewritten, so now we just have to wonder if we understood what we read.

Doubting Thomas.

Jesus is referred to as the shepherd.
And you then added "sheepishly"?

I bet you Jesus was not your shepherd and you aren't Thomas. If you'd actually read the book and Jesus were your shepherd, you'd love even your enemies instead of discriminating, and you definitely would understand that Jesus being your shepherd may actually make you a bold lion.
