solite3:Progressive, coming from you solite3. An atheist doctor casting out demons is casting demons out in Christ's name, just that most don't understand Christ in that sense, since most focus on the body and know Christ not in Spirit nor why Christ is the Word. No wonder camels get through needle eyes much easier than many. It must be difficult for some to imagine what (or who) might be screaming out on top of the wall in the open public square and at the city gate. The simple will love their simple ways, I suppose, delighting in mockery and hating knowledge. |
Stone ke? We voted them again lol! |
The four artists nominated for the 2019 Turner Prize will share this year's award after urging the judges not to choose any of them as a single winner. Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Helen Cammock, Tai Shani and Oscar Murillo got together to write to the prestigious prize's panel. They said they wanted to make a "collective statement" at a time when there was "already so much that divides and isolates people and communities". The judges agreed and revealed the move at Tuesday's ceremony in Margate, Kent. https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2019/dec/03/turner-prize-2019-lawrence-abu-hamdan-helen-cammock-oscar-murillo-and-tai-shani-shared

Guess no one likes to hear this since they believe INEC is a political party in Nigeria! |
dheaven:They do. US$1.05 Billion worth in 2018. But smuggled no duty no tax petrol is cheaper so why buy legally imported? Its like we subsidise Togo! https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/gallery/2012/nov/01/fuel-smuggling-west-africa-in-pictures

GeoAfrikana:There is no law saying a Muslim must not pray in a church or a Christian must not pray in a mosque, in Nigeria, at least, but there is one against bearing false witness or blatantly lying, I'm certain. And for those wondering, a Christian can pray in a mosque. Just that you might not do wudu and people might frown, but your wudu or not is between you and your God and no one else and God should hear you wherever you pray unless you want to claim not so instead of admitting your prayers are, incorrect. |

Forward77:"If he really needs help", is exactly the point, and much has been given him including employment/earning offers, but here we still are. Thankfully, it's easy to know if he starts learning because when he does he'd change his name. I'll keep on at him, and hope. |
Forward77:He did open a thread seeking an adoptee where I suggested he'd probably scam them too. He's not a child. He'd get a mentor in gamblers anonymous and church too, who won't lend him money because they'd know what he's like, and he might eventually abhor the shame if he yahoos. But I hope he heeds your better advise, though I expect a new thread from him soon. |
Forward77:Go gamblers anonymous or church. Both will make him confess so everyone knows not to lend him money. When he becomes part of a community he'd learn to stop being selfish and begin to love himself. Alternately, write "I am addicted to gambling" on a teeshirt and wear it in the neighbourhood for a month or so. Shame will cure him of his "volition", though, by his history, he'd probably just move on to where he's not known and yahoo all over again because there'd always be people who would say he needs love when what he needs is a kick up the ass. After all, he's seen the destruction gambling has already done to his gambling dad, himself, and poor mum whom he kicks around, and he did advice us to learn from his mistakes, so why isn't he trying to learn from his mistakes? But that's me. I'm actually surprised at the amount of love op has continued getting in numerous threads on NL - I've below struck out an example him lying to himself. Go read some of his threads if you haven't. You'd be much better informed to maybe change his life. ChildOfDoom: |
I think the foyer would be better if it were as long as the breadth of the main lounge, though probably don't matter since it's ground floor. I'd consider making the dining room bigger though and extending the foyer across the entire front, or at least flush with the foyer. |
Forward77:You might be basing your opinion on this one thread. I suggest you read his other threads. |
ChildOfDoom:So, not your responsibility, since something propels you to behave as you do? lilmissfavvy suggested prison. I'd advise you not to wait till someone reports you and go straight to hand yourself to the police. Your addiction can't addict you when you are locked up, though it would not surprise me you can play baba-jebu in jail, but at least you'd only have your fellow prisoners to scam, and they are likely to dish you some prison justice. Must say its a new one though, and irresponsible that your addiction makes you yahoo and beat your mother and scam your father and those who'd help you. Have you tried Alcoholic Anonymous or an equivalent for gambling? AA don't just treat alcohol but addictions in general or they'd know where to send you. And take Tony142 and advice in general. You tend not to! |
brainhgeek:Perhaps its you who don't know how to play here and maybe do some more research? https://www.cddwestafrica.org/did-efcc-drop-charges-against-mrs-diezani/

Hedonini:I know! "Power drunk Buhari's goons" going after crooks we all know have been stealing our national wealth thereby keeping us in perpetual poverty and servitude instead of using it to help us develop and progress. Imagine 4+4+4 chopping corrupt politician heads off a la China and hope democracy wakes you from the nightmare! Thankfully, they actually are our own Federal goons going after crooks, and as you point out, if "today's men" are found to have been corrupt, they too would be "enshackled and sentenced to life imprisonment in a future administration" hopefully with the diligence of Buhari's power drunk goons. And if that is Buhari's legacy, sai bubu next level 4+4 I pledge to Nigeria my country! |
And some people think we shall not go after Gandollar! I swear, unless Nigeria sleeps! |
vic17:Abeg, pray more that it may be you. |
Funny no one researched this.

It is an 'I go kill my neighbour!' |
It was an interesting season though, with challenges to Hamilton from, Bottas, Leclerc and Verstappen that withered along the way, Honda's seeming renaissance, Leclerc arriving amongst top drivers and Ferarri's ineptitude and apparent disintegration! Anyone wanna bet against Max next season? Ferarri don't stand a chance if they feel the need to resort to cheating!

ChildOfDoom:This child seriously needs help!

EMILO2STAY:You mean the flat earthers don't have image making equipment to photograph their flat earth? EMILO2STAY:Oh, my bad. They have and did, then NASA burnt them down to discredit them. But thankfully they did not get all of them and just stuck flat earth on the ones that they missed.

garetz:I'm not amazed you don't think at all or opinions that don't agree with you would not blindly be labelled what you might be. Personally, I think taliban was not a top priority of Obama and his approach was containment and not defeat, and the taliban sure weren't prepared to negotiate on any terms he could propose. Trump on the other hand, with the past in consideration, is now better placed with a more appropriate attitude with which to deal with them. Though, imo, taliban don't do deals! As for blaming trump for things thst go wrong. Time in the end would tell. |
Chidorx60:Why releaved? lol. Just wanted to hear first days experience and if it lived up expectations then drag people back to it when they finish. |
Chidorx60:Neither of the two I'm afraid. Uni was decades ago, though I do keep going back. I'm hoping the thread gets taken over. |
