You seem to not mind deceiving and exploiting others and having them rain down curses on you. Or do you think their cursing will not infect you? Please explain that to me. |
One of those myths some people insisted was true, along with India kicked out 100m Olympics because they won as soon as the start gun went off. lol. |

I too recommend the game, and City Skylines, though its cpu hungry. Someone asked if church should use tithe to start school. 'School' is a "sacrifice to go deep enough to know and bring out these riches in Christ that would transform lives and the society at large", so who else should be funding education if not us with our tithe and tax and savings and time and effort and soul and mind and being? |

basilico:I hope its satire, though very poor satire as I never said "Trump achievements are as a result of Obama", but of his predecessors, a result of the office, and not just any one individual. |
orisa37:I agree. People need educating and those not intelligent enough to use their money to educate themselves should have it taken from them in form of tithe to educate others. |

amuwo1980:Actually, I don't think we Nigerians are so dumb that all our elections can be rigged. And sense is not common or everyone would have some. |
jesusjnr:Christians in name, you mean, who claim to have Christ but produce unspiritual fruits. They would not commit suicide if they truly had Christ. |
obixcel:I hope this is just for the benefit of point scoring on this the thread and not really how we reason or I think we are in serious trouble! Are we really so juvenile not to understand that in this case, the achievement of the incumbent was built on the shoulders of his predecessors? |
AfonjaBoston:That's what I thought, serial defectors following the money with no ideals. This thread of yours goes to show that voters are not as dumb as the polity think, and that we need to learn to trust ourselves more. Every politician will be duly rewarded for whatever they do or don't do. |
AfonjaBoston:Were any of them defectors from pdp like Saraki was? https://www.bbc.com/pidgin/tori-44927698

Did some of them not first defect from pdp to APC to start with? Saraki springs to mind. I wonder which others on your list did too. |

Muttley, see Igbo Sun God!

FOLYKAZE:Nigeria is in fact best place to see them, night and day, with our very clear sky. Use to have an app on os10 that helped spot them but don't know an equiv for android. |
FOLYKAZE:The 'One God' idea that evolved from sun worship must be a huge shift to our Yoruba psyche. Our ẹnikan ki jẹ awa de is being individualised so much that it is less common that we wear asọ ẹgbẹ, though congregation worship makes up for it I guess. We needed to be practical as we had a lot to deal with in the forests we lived in which shielded the sun from us and reduced our notice of it as our focus was the ground we tiled for our food perhaps. Our lot to deal with might explain our lots of gods too, and is probably why we so easily add more gods as we learn more. We need nightclubs where we can dance to our gods! |

Lack of interest due to low to negative transparency! No one knows how they arrived at a $1.6-1.7 trillion, but even if they made it up, a 4.4 percent dividend yield is rather low compared to peers. Expectation is, initial share price rise then drop below ipo as investors get shaved while waiting to see how a privatized Aramco weathers future crude oil price shock. Investor scrutiny would not be limited to Aramco neither, and might open up Saudi! |
MuttleyLaff:Yoruba religion did not rely on going directly to Olorun (Lord of Heaven and all that's in it)), as we had more immediate practical things to take to our practical earth living (sub-)gods to solve. The sun will not stop lions eating you, though it was recognized for putting food in your belly if properly 'worshipped'. Ultimate glory for everything however was to Olorun who is the God of everything, including the sun, even when you went through gods of iron or smallpox to acknowledge that fact. Its like going through a pastor today to get to God. Some things just remain the same. |
LordReed:Not literal at all, or as non-literal as when "someone today says that they spent two days on the road when they probably spent something more or less than 48 hours actually on the road". They could have spent a day or four, and be exaggerating or lying. In fact, the entire narative could be an exaggeration. You'd only have problems though if your aim is to believe it as opposed to extracting meaningful lessons from the narratives of the life and death of Jesus. |
TVSA:He does go on lol. He'd be sectioned today. |

More like, 'The Chinese are investing in Nigeria' to me, bringing their money, creating jobs, teaching skills. No? |
MuttleyLaff:There's a lot of people who never had a sun god, I think, and would love some data if you got any. The quoted says "sky"; Olorun is God of everything. https://www.windows2universe.org/mythology/olorun_sky.html&edu=high
