You wonder sometimes if Nigeria is some local shop where you buy on credit and never pay.

The $9.6b scam will at least teach us to get paid what we're owed.

Yesterday, as I arrived on here, people were talking a lot about me so I asked what's up and was told the court passed judgement in a case of xxxsabrinaxxx against jnr and I was to pay damages of ₦24m to each of them!

What, I asked, has a case between those two got to do with me. But NL and their hype, so I dashed to court to get a copy of the judgement.

₦12000, court clerk said, was the cost to get the transcript, and looking at me said, less than $12, though I now wonder what exchange rate she used. Still there was me, running around looking for 12k to get a copy of a judgement in a case that had nothing to do with me except the hearsay of NLanders! And then, I awoke from my dreaming!

Sorry MusicSots, you either own up it's you or bring your friend here. Second hand won't quite cut it. I would say though that where your treasure is, there will your heart be also (I must have been wondering about those two too much after reading quite a lot of their posts!).

Your friend should find a hobby or job, or something else to fill the mind or he'd be dreaming of court cases where lucifer is the judge.

She told you to move out and is now begging you? Good!

Problem here is you did not know each other before you married and the only attraction was she's foreign which blinded you to everything else. You would not have married her if she were in Nigeria with her extra age and kids!

Make a list of all that angst you and ask her to make her list too then sit down and discuss it. Seek marriage counselling together too.

I don't know how you'd sort your having children though since I don't know why you don't have any yet. Adoption? IVF?

I wonder why landlords don't just throw these tenants out and let them sue instead, but I guess its a case of who respects, or fears, the law most.

I rent to Mountain of Fire. When they don't pay I sit on their altar on Saturday and tell them I'll sit there on Sunday. Quick time the holy ghost provides them money and they pay!

God is blessing Akwa Ibom and you are complaining? Are you not aware how some people almost killed themselves here getting those people elected? Now they are exercising their electoral mandate and you are complaining!

Thankfully, only 100 days or so don pass and they have over 3 years to learn. If Akwa Ibomites don't like this "divvy for political office holders", their eyes will open and they will choose wisely next time.

Yes when you die, it will be easier to explain
You must have not seen anyone die. If you had, you'd know that when you die we the living will put your dead body inside a box, put the box inside a hole and cover you up with soil where your dead body will be eaten by worms and evolve into the dust of the earth.

And in case you mention a soul. You did not have one till you got a body for it to be in and you won't have one once you die.

That's not quite it! Someone is trying to create such a "controversial law" that does not yet exist, that photo images of you belong to the photo image maker and not you.

Nawaaoh:
What they are saying is that according to 'a controversial law', when someone sees you and takes a photo of you using his camera or phone, that photo belongs to the photographer, not you. So you do not have any right to share the photo even though it shows your face. grin.

My question: But, why should somebody even take a photo of me......even when I don't want dem to snaaaap mehuh

I DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT KIND OF LAW!

London is cool.

Is there anyway I can get a VAT number without being a resident? I want to pay for something and they request I need a VAT number
How to register for VAT
Most businesses can register online - including partnerships and a group of companies registering under one VAT number.

By doing this you’ll register for VAT and create a VAT online account (sometimes known as a ‘Government Gateway account’). You need this to submit your VAT Returns to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

You should only pay vat if you are buying in UK

It is nice to read this. My only concern is the market size. I doubt there are up to a million Irish speakers in the world! Irish people now speak English.
According to the 2016 Irish Census, 73,803 people speak Irish in Ireland (this does not include speakers in Northern Ireland). Yet, they still bother. What intelligent forward looking people the Irish must be.

Irish (Gaeilge) is a Goidelic language of the Celtic languages family, itself a branch of the Indo-European language family. Irish originated in Ireland and was historically spoken by Irish people throughout Ireland. Irish is spoken as a first language in substantial areas of counties Galway, Kerry, Cork and Donegal, smaller areas of Waterford, Mayo and Meath, and a few other locations, and as a second language by a larger group of habitual but non-traditional speakers across the country.

Christianity Etc › Re: When I Come In My Glory, I Shall Reward Every Man According To His Works - Jesus by budaatum: 4:15pm On Oct 09, 2019
newsynews:
You can't get saved by reading the Bible on your own. I didn't get saved that way. I was saved when someone read the Bible to me and made me understand why I needed to be saved.
That explains a lot. Someone did the work of salvation on your behalf but you do not see it as work. And I think you think your experience is everybody's experience, and your understanding is the only one.

All the same, I insist that you must have read the Bible or you can't exactly qualify to quote it to me unless you are just parroting what you've been told. And if that's the case then you have not done the work that you should have done and can't fully understand the Bible. But do note that even listening too is work. And getting understanding is more work. And once you understand, it is work, for it is written (bible quote alert in case you miss it) The work is plenty but the labourers are few.

My advice is do some more reading work and you'd find that you can't fully derive biblical benefits unless you do the work of reading the Bible. The Bible itself promotes work. And being a disciple of Jesus is work. And you can't claim to be saved and not be a worker. For if you don't love your neighbours and your enemies moreso, both of which involves work, your salvation is as Paul said, a resounding gong and a clanging cymbal, a nothing who gains nothing, especially not salvation, the greatest gift of all.

P.s. You keep insisting that I do not quote the Bible. I am however certain that anyone who has read my posts would not agree with you. Not only have I quoted the Bible, as anyone who is not lazy would see, I've linked to the specific bits I've quoted too as you'd find if you did the work to click on links I have shared. As to "speaking with my own words", I am guilty as charged, since I am stating my own understanding of what I have read as you too are, even though I feel you'd claim your own understanding is God's, though you have admitted that your understanding comes from "someone who read the Bible to you and made you understand". Jesus too was accused of the same crime and even that the devil was inside of him. And now He is the Lord, and the Saviour of the World.

You have to qualify as an Apprentice to Journeyman or fellow (now called Fellowcraft) to Master Mason to go on the guided tour but the freemasons hide the qualification behind some ice wall and make you swear an oath of secrecy. But thank God the veil has been torn off.
