Likely that when we have no choice we role over and accept it, though one would note traffic has gone down and new threads are fewer and there's more ignorance on front page these days and Seun is likely earning less from nl.

But what do I know except the earth is flat!

I want to say "pigs will fly", but that would imply pigs did not fly when he won his first term. Something will happen though. I can't see we anti-trumpites just accepting 4 more years. Some of us will die first!

I don't know what you're talking about in the upper part...maybe some education in your neighbourhood slanging. Pls replace e-punch with e-slap, meaning to send me a slap thro cyberspace, and you get the JOKE I meant in my own post. Except if you were not in the mood for a little humour. grin
Me, buda, e-punching or e-slapping you, even as a joke, is like saying, "I, buda, is foolish", with my stupid ignorant e-action. If I had any sense, I would behave much better that e-ing you.

I'd go as far as saying some reduce the value of Christ. Degbu for instance, wants one to be full of stupidity and ignorance like him because he lacks an understanding of the Word. All I hear him say is "sit down and eat this degbu food" whilst all I see is muck I wouldn't eat even if I were starving. Then he posts memes proclaiming how hungry one is when the truth is one's belly is rather full of nicely cooked food already and he is the one who starves.

One prays that his eyes will one day open and his heart be filled with love, or in relingo, Christ.

Nancy Pelosi had never supported impeachment, not necessarily because she thinks Trump is not culpable, but because knows the Republican dominated house will never remove Trump. She feels it will be a waste of time.

Pelosi is reluctantly going ahead half heartedly with the impeachment because she would face a rebellion in the party if she continued holding out. The vast majority of Democrats favour impeachment, even if it does not lead to a removal from office.
It would be a damp squid if she dares and she knows it.

I'd let Trump dig his own grave if I were her. He's way more than capable given enough time and if not he's ramping up some serious enemies, or rather, ex-trump staff, who would.

Well, good you lol-ed it, rather than throw an e-punch. Sometimes we pause our altercations and make ourselves laugh it off a bit.
Enjoy the article all the same. grin grin
E-punching is like saying "I am foolish", to smart people at least, as it shows a lack of intelligence and understanding and an inability to learn and articulate one's points adequately

On a serious note, impeachment is like Boris' invisible brexit deal. Good telly but no substance just like Trump. I'd respect him more if he spoke less as it would seriously rile his opposition, but he's so weak a person so has to massage his ego and that of his supporters.

Words it is now but I can't wait till next year when this all will turbocharge blood on the floor ramp up. Just you all leave space for UK. We'd be moving it to Alaska or Montana perhaps if Equatorial Guinea won't have us.

There's a reason it is written, "Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth". Proverbs 4:6-7

The "my" there is not "degs mouth" to whom foolishness is godly.

OLAADEGBU:
"For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe" 1 Corinthians 1:21).

To the wisdom of the ungodly "foolish preaching" is preaching the crucifixion of the world's Creator by His creation.

Same way the devil makes some convert to Christ I guess. The lesson here is to not become weak and dead like you.

OLAADEGBU:
Some else also said: “If I were God, I'd hate to have you people speaking on my behalf.”

We do our best, but we are fully aware that “God has chosen the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe” (see 1 Corinthians 1:21).

He chose the weak vessels of human beings to take the message of everlasting life to weak and dying human beings.

You forgot to add liars to your list, and those who's hearts are full of hatred and who's eyes are full of forests. Or does God approve of you not cutting down the forest in your own eyes and your constant bearing of false witness?

You make god in your own image deg, that's how you justify your hatred and it's people like you who actually make people like me turn to the God of Love. I tell you the truth, when you accept Jesus into your life your eyes will open and you will stop resounding and the tinkling as you currently are and start living a Christ filled life.

"Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal."

I do not disagree that religious people are intelligent. My assertion is that the not-so-intelligent are more likely to be attracted to religious ideologies (more susceptible to indoctrination)

Intuition interfering with intelligence is the culprit here. Obviously studies as to the reason why lower intelligence correlates with religious beliefs continue. I certainly say we learn more and, in my opinion, drag religion, kicking and screaming, out of the darkness pews and into the light of day.

I love the way you switch between "religious ideologies" and "religious beliefs" and make out they are the same thing. And the herring, "do not disagree" which requires intelligence to decipher.

Your problem is ignorance and closed-mindedness.

You don't believe there are thousands of satellites in space (geostationary devices parked in earth's orbit), which are owned by world's countries and corporations.

Can you then explain to us the principle behind making a simple phone call using a satellite phone that works anywhere on earth?

How does that work?

Let's start from there.

If you have the faintest idea about the history of science, from ancient days (the times of Socrates, Plato, Archimedes, Aristotle, Copernicus, Galileo Pletomy, Pythagoras of Samus, etc.) to the eras of 20th and 21st centuries' figures like Newton, Bacon, Einstein, Hawkins, Pascal, Watt, etc., you would have read and mused over the flaws of the flat-earth hypothesis.

And why it had been discarded by philosophers and thinkers, even hundreds of years ago by people like Hypatia, Galileo, Copernicus, and many others.
Sounds like you are suggesting he read books and study! Don't you know books and the words in them are all written by the nasty freemasons in the very beginning and with it they created lies? In fact, I bet you think these words of mine create meaning even though it is you giving them sound.

Abeg, don't mind him Emilo. Everyone knows Socrates, Plato, Archimedes, Aristotle, Copernicus, Galileo Pletomy, Pythagoras of Samus, Hypatia, Newton, Bacon, Einstein, Hawkins, Pascal and Watt, etc., are all figments of the imagination who never existed but were created by the west to deceive Africans that the earth is a spherical globe when the truth is obvious for anyone with an ounce of sense to see that the earth is truly flat and the Japanese fuel the sun and the moon is made of swiss cheese and its all less than 6100 years old!

As for making a simple phonecall, its like talking to a person in the other room. The power in your voice transmits the sound of your words over the flat earth to its destination except those freemason westerners deceive you into thinking you need an electronic device to transmit it. When Yoruba Osanyin supersedes it, then you will understand.

Hmmm. For everyone, indoctrination differs in form and intensity. Even the best of us were once victims of strident indoctrination. Ayan Hirsi-Ali, an intelligent woman, who thinks very logically and reasons critically, was once a Muslim who supported the fatwa calling for the death of Salman Rushdie.

Just like my fellow atheist Sharon6 (lepasharon), I came into nairaland as a staunch christian. I argued stubbornly and stupidly in favour of christianity but I later changed after much sound argument from nairaland atheists. I once created a thread under my former moniker, Martinez19, showing my journey from christianity to atheism. In that thread, I brought out many screenshots showing posts in which I argued for christianity. grin

Indoctrination is power if done right. I responded to sound arguments but I find it hard, initially, that people don't respond to sound arguments. grin
From 19 to 39 and now 79! Sounds like you are easily indoctrinated by "sounder arguments".

The quality of education and training provided by African countries has worsened since 2014, leaving many of the continent’s growing population of young people ill-prepared to enter the job market, an influential report said on Tuesday.

The Ibrahim Index of African Governance (IIAG), the most comprehensive survey of its kind on the continent, found that on average enrolment and access to education was particularly low in the tertiary sector.

“This has resulted in the burgeoning youth population being faced with increasing struggles when entering the job market,” researchers at the Mo Ibrahim Foundation wrote in an interim update ahead of the full biennial report due to be published next year.
