I tried that once. Ran away from UK to Mexico City only to find I'd packed what I was running from and took it with me. I was on a year contract, so got stuck with it there in a foreign land too.

Human beings work hard so they can better their lives not because they want to give their wealth away. If you forcefully take it away to cater for others, then it stops every incentive to work hard

Americans will trust a Microsoft owned Tiktok more. If something goes horribly wrong with the data of an American, they can sue Microsoft. If it happens with a Chinese company, what will they do?

If something went wrong with American data, America could have sued them and also fine them a lot of billions of dollars I would have thought, just as had been done when something went wrong with American data held by say Microsoft, and Meta and Amazon and etc.

Chinese companies are not above the law in America or even Nigeria, just as Tesla is not above the law in China.

This is my concern too, and Nigerians can not see it. And it's historical, considering the amount of effort some Americans put in to "make white great" at the expense of others amongst them whom they exploited, which kind of makes it seem DNA thick with some of them.

Thankfully, democracy. 4 years soon up, least for dump, though I wouldn't be surprised if this goes on for the next 8-12 years at least. In which case, they'll be seeing each other in court a lot, which will give the world the greatest opportunity to learn more about democracy.
