I'm assuming that man is sitting on someone's lap and that's why he has two right hands. I'll sit in the back because I wouldn't want some smelly man sitting on my lap, and the condition was attend, which I can safely do sitting in the back seats.

Besides, I'm going for the 10m. I don't want to sit in the front and block those who went for the blessings.

Yes, I'll attend and sit at the back somewhere. Pay me my 10m please!

Dude, I am not in the mood for unnecessary arguments, especially about scientific methods that I understand.

Just believe whatever you want. It really doesn’t change anything man.

Cheers
That's the thing with you. You claim to know about the scientific method but probably only apply it in your profession.

Please stop insulting buda by claiming buda believes! Only stupid people believe what they can't bother to do the work to check if their beliefs are true or not. And if they did check, or observe as you'd say, or apply the scientific method to their ignorant belief, they'd stop believing and instead actually know!

P.s. Do know that I am not responding only because of you. Just that you've provided a board for me to write what I'm certain others would read too.

There's no belief in science, that's where you are taking this to and it won't get there. I have been doing science for 13years and I'm confident that beliefs don't work here. Whatever belief you have, you got to drop it in science then go back to it when you are done.

Hypotheses are not beliefs in science. Just take it or leave it.
You guys like pointless arguments alot on this forum
Why do you keep doing this workch? You keep saying "you guys", as if you can't see the individual! Perhaps you don't see or something, or how can I repeatedly be referring to believing Adam as an ignorant stupid slave, and then claim one must believe instead of actually opening ones own eyes and other senses to check and see for for oneself? Is open your eyes and senses not the very first step in science? Can one do science without opening one's eyes to actually look and see? Can you not apply your 13 years of science instead of stupidly believing without actually checking your hypothesis? Do I need to post links of posts of mine where I claim believing without checking or observing, as you'd say, is ignorant and stupid?

The imaginary Adam we read about believed without testing if his beliefs were true or not, and that's why he remained stupid and ignorant and enslaved in the Garden of Eden. Eve, on the other hand, did science to check the hypothesis that states: "on the day that you eat you shall surely die". We shall consider what she discovered on testing once we get over your "you guys" hypothesis!

A hypothesis is not a belief. A belief is an untested hypothesis however. It's like hypothesising that I. If we find the edge of earth, then it means that earth is flat (independent variable), and then not II. The higher the altitude we travel, the likely that we see that earth is flat (dependent variable), but instead believing the earth is flat. If buda does that with anything, and I mean anything at all, including ignorantly assuming anything about you without first checking, please command buda to shoot buda dead, because that buda does not deserve to live!

Please know that if I build a bridge on a belief that it would stand and span where I'm building it, I would not now be retired and enjoying what I got paid for building bridges! No one would have paid me to build an ordinary foot path on some stupid ignorant untested belief or an untested hypothesis!

Below is my response to a person who thinks one should believe physics. It might help you understand better. And I've added a link explaining how and why I think believing almost anything without bothering to ask and seek and knock is just dumb!

Do let know me please if you can see, though I can bet my very last pound that the fact I've written it in religionese would likely blind you!

Just go in peace Buda.
You are asking loaded questions.

Loaded question fallacy
What is loaded about it, workch? Don't you think you should observe before concluding and believing?

I think that if you look at the book through your science lens you'd see what I mean. It is my own education as an engineer after all, despite your unverified belief that I am google learned, that allows me to see Eve how I do, and if believers stop believing and instead do 'science' like Eve did, they too will be freed from slavery in the imaginary Garden of Eden that they are currently ignorantly enslaved in.

While you call it a fallacy, it's one that will unfortunately always pop up between us in this religious section. And neither of us is going anywhere soon, insha allah amen.

Parliamentary system is different from presidential system. Present constitution does not gjve us regional government.
That's because you don't see a state or even a local authority as a region.

States were created to reduce the area an individual governs so it can more effectively be governed. If we can't govern a small state, we sure can't govern the old regions any more effectively, and to be honest we never really did, though some have the romantic belief that we did.

That was what colonial government gave us-regional government-with 1960 constitution.
I am worried you do not see that our current constitution also gives us the same regional government, though the regions are now states, but it is our own lack of knowledge that stops us having what it gives us.

Go through threads on here. See how everyone blames the president for just about everything, while not holding their governor or councillors accountable for what the constitution makes them accountable for.

A Constitution does not give, joy, it just states what you should have, and we the people have to get off our asses and take what it says we must have by ensuring the constitution is adhered to by electing leaders who would adhere to it. If we don't, it don't matter what constitution you have, those who would refuse to adhere to it would not let you have what the constitution says you must have.

What needs changing is us, and our priorities, and our values, and our orientation, and our mindsets. Basically, our own personal individual constitutions!

My mum used catering certificate to work in customs, today can someone enter customs with such certificate?
No, someone can't. The reason your mum got the job she got with o'levels was because those with degrees were needed elsewhere to build up capacity that had been neglected by the colonialists.

Now that almost everyone has a degree (though I'd personally question its quality since most were taught by o'level teachers), why would anyone hire an o'level when one can hire a graduate for the same pay?

And the nigerians ruling nigeria now are doing it judiciously abi?
Tinubu have properties in london, recieve medical treatment in london, buhari the same, almost all our politicians have one or several investments outside nigeria, does that show patriotism on their part?
A white man will always want to make a difference in all he does, a black man will want to be measured by what he achieves.
No matter how u see it, british rule was and will be 100percent better than what we r experiencing.
What's disturbing is you think the white man is holier than thou while black people are satanish. Is it because you do not realise how Britain exploited you when you were their colony or what?

What makes white people, in Europe at least, seem more honest than you is simply the fact that they have institutions that work to hold them accountable if caught, while we don't bother to catch Tinubu nor do we yet have effective institutions to try him if caught.

Don't you think that's where we ought to start, by building up effective institutions that will make us accountable, instead of selling ourselves back to "white man"?

Can "white man" make you less black so you value what you do and how you do it?

P.s. I think you meant own, as oppose ro "achieve". After all, if someone does whatever needs to be done so we have constant electricity, we will see it as a desirable achievement.

Christianity Etc › Re: God And Science. by budaatum:
Workch:
Hypothesis starts with statement of problem (it's usually in form of a question)

1. Statement of problem
Your statement of problem will be a question that your experiment is hoping to answer to prove that earth is flat.

Example: Does the earth have an edge? This means that your experiment is focusing on researching the edge of earth to prove that earth is flat

2. You write a brief preliminary research you have done on this topic that necessitated this research

3. Put your hypothesis is words: whole doing this, the statement must contained an independent and dependent variable in three sentences, the sentence will contain words like "if" and "then". In that format. It should also include your predictions and specific parameters you want to study.

Since we are looking to research earth's edge, an example will be:
I. If we find the edge of earth, then it means that earth is flat (independent variable)
II. The higher the altitude we travel, the likely that we see that earth is flat (dependent variable)
Iii. The distance covered in the straight is directly proportional to the chance of discovering the edge of the earth.
Thank you. So, now lets look at the imaginary Eve.

Her question was, would she die or not if she ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (Independent variables)

Her II was if I eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and die then it is true that eating the fruit surely kills, but if she did not die then eating the fruit does not surely kill. (Dependent variables)

She then went ahead to test her hypothesis by performing her experiment of eating the fruit.

Is that not Eve doing science, or will you argue that what we read Eve did was not scientific?

Second, are you not ashamed of not providing ideas for you very own black self? I mean, there's a saying about removing the forest from your eyes before bothering about the speck in the eyes of others, or aren't you aware of it?
