These townfolks and village idiots trying to form American here, supporting racists and bigots are the most pathetic people i've ever seen. They just do what they do out of pure hate. Most of them are so dumb and uninformed.
And outright evil, I must add, because I do strongly believe they know what they are doing and just ignorantly do it out of jealousy.

Contradictory, I know, but I still think it is so.

Unfortunately Africans has the habit of making mess of everything given to them, religion was brought to us but we made mess of it all and so also every other things including politics.
The democracy we claim to be practicing has been so demoralised to the extent that people would even clamour for a military rule. Come 2023 who would you vouch for to give us a good governance with the caliber of hungry and self centered mauriding politicians abound.
I'm afraid if there would ever be any election again in this country though.
Every nation "has the habit of making mess of everything given to them". Christianity was given to Europe, and we have read of the 100s of years of dark ages that preceded the Age of Enlightenment, so please do not speak ill of we Africans, West Africans to be precise, who are only just now in reception of a religion about an individual we are informed brought it out of Egypt which is in our own Africa in the first place, because there will indeed become a time when we will stop behaving like ignorant believing naked enslaved Adam, and become like Eve who would rather use her own senses to discover if she would surely die on the day she seeks wisdom and knowledge or not and become free.

There will be an election. And my own fear is that the choice will be between Tinubu and Atiku, which will disastrously be no choice at all. And then 4 years will pass during which we live through the consequences of our choice just as we have done the last 8 years and then get to choose again. And another 4 years will pass during which we will live through the consequences of our choice and then get to choose again. And another 4 years will pass during which we will live through the consequences of our choice and then get to choose again and on and on. And all those passing 4 years will be opportunities for us to learn to chose wisely, or whether we prefer to continue suffering in ignorance like enslaved Adam in the Garden of Eden!

Do please be aware that the date will someday be in the year 2031. And 2051, And 2121. May we have learnt the errors of our ways long before then.

This is the most foolish post I've read on Nairaland all year. Attacking a user's nickname? You must be a nuisance at heart offline. You don't know what or where Atum came from. When I first saw the name budaatum, I instantly knew the person behind that name must be an enlightened person, coz I know what that name stands for.
Ridiculous stupid and foolish attitude displayed by this user. So ridiculous.
Not many get the monicker, I must say, and most are not bothered to do the research, but imagine a person who misspelt his own monicker making fun of someone else's, lol, and the phrase "immature toddler" might just spring to mind.

I had Babangida,Abacha and Abdusalami under my belt as my experience for a military rule but unfortunately non was ever worse than what our Buhari has been dishing out to us under the guise of democracy.
If Buhari"s method of ruling is what you'll call democracy then I would rather have a military dictatorship.
It baffles me that people like you still have the guy to keep supporting a failure like buhari but who I'm I to blame you though.
I am afraid you do not quite seem to understand what democracy is about, because it is not only a form of rulership, though it can also be.

Democracy is about the majority electing the rulers of a nation, and the current Buhari administration is that majority's choice. Its like a certain trump was the choice of the majority in 2016 or whenever it was, but not the choice of the majority in 2020 hence a President called Biden in 2021.

Nigeria will have an election in 2023, I believe, when the majority will exercise their democratic powers to elect a new president. We can just hope the last 8 years open more eyes so the majority wisely choose, a choice you clearly will not ever have if military were to rule!

And amazingly, the suspect is not Fulani or cattle, but from my very own Osun State!

angry

A suspected human parts merchant, Mutiu Abdul-Rasheed, 40, has been arrested by operatives of Amotekun Corps in Oyo State for allegedly dealing in body parts of human beings for ritual purposes.

Fresh hands of some persons and other dismembered body parts were parts of the exhibits recovered from him.

Abdul-Rasheed, who reportedly hails from Ede in Osun State, said he belonged to a team that has been involved in getting fresh human parts for some people and at the same time exhuming dead bodies of people that they knew their names and parents’ names before their demise. But other members of the gang were said to be at large.

The Commandant of Amotekun Corps in the state, Col Olayinka Olayanju (retd) told journalists that the suspect was investigated for some months before he was nabbed. He added that “ironically, calls have been coming in and individuals have been pressing for his release.”

But Olayanju did not mention names of people that have been pressurising the security outfit to release the suspect, and he did not also give any indication whether the people calling for the suspect’s release are private citizens or they hold public offices.

The team was said to have operated in Lagelu area of Ibadan sub-urb before the cat was let out of the bag. Abdul-Rasheed said: “We only exhume bodies that are known to us because we must know the dead person when he or she was alive.

“We must also know his or her name as well as the mother’s name. Knowing the mother’s name of the dead person that we want to sell the body parts attracts extra cost from those that buy the human parts from us.
Items recovered from the suspect included guns, charms, decaying body parts, motorcycle and a car.

"We wish to offer Naomi Osaka our support and assistance in any way possible as she takes time away from the court," the Grand Slams said.

"She is an exceptional athlete and we look forward to her return as soon as she deems appropriate."

The tone of their statement was markedly different to the strongly worded one issued on Sunday, which threatened "more substantial fines and future Grand Slam suspensions" if she continued to avoid the media.

"While players' wellbeing has always been a priority to the Grand Slams, our intention, together with the WTA, the ATP and the ITF, is to advance mental health and wellbeing through further actions," it added.

"Together as a community we will continue to improve the player experience at our tournaments, including as it relates to media.

"Change should come through the lens of maintaining a fair playing field, regardless of ranking or status. Sport requires rules and regulations to ensure that no player has an unfair advantage over another.

"We intend to work alongside the players, the tours, the media and the broader tennis community to create meaningful improvements."

Big difference...Jesus is a man. The Creator is
pure consciousness...
That's what you think, that Jesus is a man, which is precisely what those who are unconsciousness would claim, though in their minds they think they are conscious.

There is nothing like pure consciousness! And that is why you have the Jesuses, the Moseses, the Thanoses, the Isises, the Spaghetti Monsters, Russell with his Tea Pot, and the Gods in general etc, showing you how we humans at different times create Gods, and consciousness historically increases, which is how we gradually evolve our understanding and consciousness.

But I guess that's not to be seen by all since some are most definitely unconscious!
Christianity Etc › Re: There Is No Power In Jesus by budaatum:
HappyPagan:
. God, Jesus, Holy Spirit mean aboslutely nothing to me.. the same way other Gods are useless to you.
First, other Gods are not useless to me. Because that would be like saying Python is the only programming language that is useful and all other programmings are useless. And that brings me to my second point.

Those to whom "God, Jesus, Holy Spirit" mean something to are like computer chips that are programmed to read the language of "God, Jesus, Holy Spirit", and if they are not first programmed to read the language of "God, Jesus, Holy Spirit" you will have a gigo situation, as we are seeing with you, forgive me for saying, for it is very obvious that you lack even a fundamental understanding of what "God, Jesus, Holy Spirit" might imply.

Unlike a computer chip that is inanimate silicon, humans are endowed with brains with which they are meant to seek for understanding, if they want any that is, but when a human being behaves like silicon waiting to be programmed, it is just showing the lack of the brain that is the mind in its head.

You used the word "mean", Happy, so clearly do not mean mindless belief. And by "mean", you must mean the meaning that you give to those words "God, Jesus, Holy Spirit", unless you mean what others tell you as if you have not got a mind of your own. And I happen to have immense faith and belief that you can give better meaning to those words if you were bothered and if you tried than, "Three nails killed him. He died a virgin. His mom was a virgin.. if Jesus lived today, we would call him a mad man.... Why do you still call on this dead Jewish man when he has so obviously failed... He even promised to come back.. yet 2020 years later, no show", or you'd have much better things to be doing with your time, I would have thought, than to be wasting it here on threads you create to inform us of what means nothing to you than threads about the things that do mean something to you.

And this brings me back to my first point again. Knowing about Zeus, and Thanos, and Osiris, and the Spaghetti Monster, and Russell's Tea Pot, and Allah, and "God, Jesus, Holy Spirit" etc are of immense value in understanding the humans who create them, because it shows how the silicon works and would make one a better programmer of it.

INCOMPATIBLE BELIEF-SYSTEMS ARE THE BASIS OF CHAOS: IF EVILDOERS CANNOT IMPOSE THE ORDER, THEY MUST CREATE CHAOS.
The only way to impose uniform beliefs is by evil methods. It failed in the Garden of Eden when there were only 4 entities and has failed every where it has been tried. Soviet Union is a case in point. The Catholic Church is another, as is England when it tried to impose Anglicanism, and you definitely can not possibly impose uniform belief on Nigeria, or here in the Nairaland Religious section

oaroloye:
WHAT PEOPLE LIKE YOURSELF THINK "LOVE" MEANS IS ACTUALLY "INDULGENCE."
Intelligent and smart people will ask what people like myself might think instead of creating crap inside your head and believing it to be true as if you can read minds!

oaroloye:
IN TRUE CHRISTIAN CONTEXT "LOVE" MEANS "THE KEEPING OF GOD'S COMMANDMENTS.
I would argue that it means doing God's Will, which does include loving one's neighbours who might not believe as one does, and one's enemies also, who most likely definitely do not believe as one does, but you'd argue of course, since that's not your belief nor your own understanding.

How selective of you to live by the bread alone and ignore the rest of what is written, like one who does not understand that bread alone malnourishes!

oaroloye:
37. "For by thy words
thou shalt be justified,
and by thy words
thou shalt be condemned."
How selective again. And see you doing God's work of justifying and condemning as if you sit at God's right hand!

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Matthew 7:15-20

oaroloye:
IF YOU KNOW ANY TRUTH THAT SOMEONE NEEDS, IT IS YOUR DUTY TO SHARE IT.
That is what we all believe we are doing here, sharing what we think is the truth. Humility would however make us realise that our own version of truth may not be as true as we think it is unless we are arrogant fuqs of course who alone have the "truth".

oaroloye:
It is highly indicative of the depth of your unworthiness, that you should think that you know "Truth," but would withhold It.
The above is indicative of god oaroloye, the judge and condemner of buda!

oaroloye:
ISAIAH IS NOT RELIABLE: HE WAS A FAILED PROPHET- UNABLE TO PREVENT HIS OWN PEOPLE FROM GOING INTO CAPTIVITY.
Oh, really, god oaroloye, the judge and condemner of isaiah too? I noticed you ridiculed Paul also, but seem to rate the Gospels he influenced to be written.

I guess I am delighted at the company of the condemned that you put me into. Thanks. But one must wonder why you lack the uniform belief in Isaiah and Paul that you seem to believe everyone else ought to have, or is it rather a belief in the truth of oaroloye that you mean we all should uniformly have?

oaroloye:
I DISAGREE THAT DEUTERONOMY 6:4-5 AND LEVITICUS 19:18 ARE THE TWO GREATEST COMMANDMENTS: DEUTERONOMY 30:19-20 IS GREATER THAN THOSE COMMANDMENTS- BECAUSE WITHOUT THAT COMMANDMENT FOR MOTIVATION, THOSE COMMANDMENTS BECOME UNSUSTAINABLE.
And since I am not promoting any sort of uniform belief you are very free to use your own mind to disagree with even Christ now who said there is no greater commandment than these.

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22:36-40

Just don't expect me to join you in your uniform belief in your own so called truth!

oaroloye:
Rule by Lord Yeshua's Gospel will eliminate Sin completely.
But excluding the above which you just excluded, right?

You are going to forgive me for stopping right here because it is very obvious that you just tie yourself in knots with your plenty words and fail to realise that When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent . Proverbs 10:19 ESV
