MaxInDHouse:No max. The evil you are committing is the sowing of the seeds of enmity between my neighbour and I, because you clearly know that inasmuch as we do that which is right and proper to our neighbours regardless of their Gods or their religion the God your read about in the Bible must be pleased, but here you are claiming your version of JW preaches something different. Below is the entire relevant Chapter 25 from the JW Version so you might read and see that you err and the reward for your error! “Then the Kingdom of the heavens may be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps+ and went out to meet the bridegroom.+ 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were discreet.*+ 3 For the foolish took their lamps but took no oil with them, 4 whereas the discreet took oil in their flasks along with their lamps. 5 While the bridegroom was delaying, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 6 Right in the middle of the night there was a shout: ‘Here is the bridegroom! Go out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those virgins got up and put their lamps in order.+ 8 The foolish said to the discreet, ‘Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are about to go out.’ 9 The discreet answered, saying: ‘Perhaps there may not be enough for both us and you. Go instead to those who sell it, and buy some for yourselves.’ 10 While they were going off to buy it, the bridegroom came. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast,+ and the door was shut. 11 Afterward, the rest of the virgins also came, saying, ‘Sir, Sir, open to us!’+ 12 In answer he said, ‘I tell you the truth, I do not know you.’ 13 “Keep on the watch,+ therefore, because you know neither the day nor the hour.+ 14 “For it is just like a man about to travel abroad who summoned his slaves and entrusted his belongings to them.+ 15 He gave five talents* to one, two to another, and one to still another, to each according to his own ability, and he went abroad. 16 Immediately the one who received the five talents went and did business with them and gained five more. 17 Likewise, the one who received the two gained two more. 18 But the slave who received just one went off and dug in the ground and hid his master’s money.* 19 “After a long time, the master of those slaves came and settled accounts with them.+ 20 So the one who had received the five talents came forward and brought five additional talents, saying, ‘Master, you entrusted five talents to me; see, I gained five talents more.’+ 21 His master said to him: ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You were faithful over a few things. I will appoint you over many things.+ Enter into the joy of your master.’+ 22 Next the one who had received the two talents came forward and said, ‘Master, you entrusted two talents to me; see, I gained two talents more.’+ 23 His master said to him: ‘Well done, good and faithful slave! You were faithful over a few things. I will appoint you over many things. Enter into the joy of your master.’ 24 “Finally the slave who had received the one talent came forward and said: ‘Master, I knew you to be a demanding man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you did not winnow.+ 25 So I grew afraid and went and hid your talent in the ground. Here, you have what is yours.’ 26 In reply his master said to him: ‘Wicked and sluggish slave, you knew, did you, that I reaped where I did not sow and gathered where I did not winnow? 27 Well, then, you should have deposited my money* with the bankers, and on my coming I would have received it back with interest. 28 “‘Therefore, take the talent away from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents.+ 29 For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.+ 30 And throw the good-for-nothing slave out into the darkness outside. There is where his weeping and the gnashing of his teeth will be.’ 31 “When the Son of man+ comes in his glory, and all the angels with him,+ then he will sit down on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate people one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will put the sheep+ on his right hand, but the goats on his left.+ 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right: ‘Come, you who have been blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world. 35 For I became hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you received me hospitably;+ 36 naked* and you clothed me.+ I fell sick and you looked after me. I was in prison and you visited me.’+ 37 Then the righteous ones will answer him with the words: ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?+ 38 When did we see you a stranger and receive you hospitably, or naked and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 In reply the King will say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’+ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left: ‘Go away from me,+ you who have been cursed, into the everlasting fire+ prepared for the Devil and his angels.+ 42 For I became hungry, but you gave me nothing to eat; and I was thirsty, but you gave me nothing to drink. 43 I was a stranger, but you did not receive me hospitably; naked, but you did not clothe me; sick and in prison, but you did not look after me.’ 44 Then they too will answer with the words: ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying: ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of these least ones, you did not do it to me.’+ 46 These will depart into everlasting cutting-off,*+ but the righteous ones into everlasting life.”+ |
MaxInDHouse:You know you are just trying to be evil and make my neighbour my enemy while you ignorantly and falsely claim that is what your own version of JW has taught you instead of taking responsibility for your evil ways and turning to Christ and repenting! Why will I call my neighbours to say "let us pray" when I can talk to God in my own house and they can talk to God in their own house? |
Hseffa:I do not agree with you one tiny bit! In fact, in my own opinion, people who reason like you have here will make any society backward because it is very similar to the backward thinking of the Pharisee who thought himself justified when in fact he will be told he is not known on judgement day! Please accept Jesus Christ the Messiah into your life so you may love your neighbours and your enemies also or you may end up gnashing your teeth!

There is definitely a lot wrong with your head! MaxInDHouse: |
achorladey:Humility is in short order in general on Nairaland, and when most use the word they mean one should humble oneself to them as if they themselves are the God. Its funny how many do not realise they are simply playing out the role of the other party when Christ was being tempted on the mountain, or perhaps they think no one can see their fruits. Good thing is he is spreading his fruits for us to see. Bad thing is his fruits give JWs an unwarranted bad name. I just pray he has his eyes opened so he too may see himself for what he really is. |
Ladyhippolyta88:Have you missed the protests in Myanmar and the recent African Union's sanction of Mali? A successful insurrection in United States of America will be like detonating a nuclear bomb in New Jersey compared to those 2, which are like shooting pellets in a forest, and the entire world would oppose it along with PrideofLincoln1 and PrideofLincoln2! They can't succeed because we are here making sure they fail! |
sonmvayina:No! You are the one who said "God created man and endowed it with the ability and capacity to make choices". And it is you who said "God decreed that our stay on earth should not exceed 120" and it is you that said it "is required is to follow certain rules to make the experience more fruitful and purposeful.. hence ifa, torah and omenani". And you never defined your God then and that is precisely why I quoted the Torah you said should be obeyed and my questions to see if you obey what you are telling me to obey and for you to explain the consequences of you obeying or not! So teach me please by answering my simple questions so I may first understand, and then if we find it is I that needs to be teaching you we can address your questions! It is written in the Torah: And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Will you obey such a command? And why? And what are the consequences if you obeyed or disobeyed? Thank you in advance, Master Sonm. |
OndoFirstBorn:If we already grow of the "of best strain" (I'm laughing, by the way), why do we need to legalize it to "grow whatever strain for medicinal use" when we all know most of it will be smoked by touts and agbero and amugbo peoples? Its not just the growing, but the processing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2Op2oKVCEo |
OndoFirstBorn:He must do quick quick, or not. |
Atteraino:I know people exporting it too. Legalizing will spoil my business lol. |
frowland:I don't really have time for Zecharia Sitchin type conspiracies. Especially not when I'm promoting the theology of Use Her Own Senses Eve who plucked of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil to find out if it is true that she will surely die on the day that she eats it or not, as opposed to the theology of ignorant naked enslaved in the garden of Eden afraid to die Adam! Please, where are we headed? And before you answer, do please note that I am typing this on my technology induced Blackberry Motion that is being powered by technology generated electricity! |
SegFault:Go away, I am not mentioning these enslaved persons at all at all and I don't have a clue what or whom you mean! In fact, Jesus is Lord and Mohammed is a Prophet! Aleluya Alaakbar Jehova Jireh Insha Allah Amen! |
Atteraino:You will not believe this but the only currency legalizing cannabis in Nigeria will bring is our own local Naira, because our weed is crap, we lack the knowledge to grow it, and other nations grow it a lot better than we can imagine and have lots of experience of processing it, so no one will have our crap, just as no one wants our yams or our beans or our cattle meat, definitely not! In fact, legalizing cannabis in Nigeria will bring only a lot of fuq stoned people and no money at all as everyone and their dog will plant and flood the market with crap. But at least a lot of people will be too stoned to get out of bed on Sunday morning which might be a good thing especially if they didn't have jobs to wake up for in the week. Kids! Get off my fuqing fence! Damn kids!
|
So, if I open cannabis farm in Ondo State will police not harass me, Governor Akeredolu? And if police arrest me will you post my bail please, or make I just kukuma wait until we legalize it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cIePqdz03A Kids! Stay away from the wewe because your brain is already fried! And note! Legalize weed and know we legalize.... Let me not say yet so you don't quite know what you all are legalizing till its too late to say don't legalize it please
|
dongc:I know it happens already, just not enough yet in Nigeria, I think. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbki4HR41-4 |

achorladey:The actual point he always misses is that he is actually a weed who thinks he is wheat. And that is despite constant reminders of the sin of hubris.
|
sonmvayina:Good! So, we agree that contrary to your initial statement that "Spirits can't make choices they do whatever God has created them to do", we humans are "Spirit + flesh", and have the ability to make choices. (Do please bear in mind that I reserve the right to ask if disobeying satan was a spirit or not or had flesh too). Now that that is cleared up, might you kindly attend to my initial query please, which I repeat below, because as you can see, buda will like to take full advantage of the education you can provide her in full. And why? And what are the consequences if you obeyed or disobeyed? |
frowland:Which of the two I found do you mean? I might in fact watch both, though I must warn you that I am already very familiar with The War of the Worlds, the 1898 novel by H. G. Wells, which is early in the genre of the fear of "what is waiting for our kids in the future" called ludditism, and which is why some fear 5G though one has to wonder why such people are not equally afraid of electricity, and the devices with which they browse the internet and motor cars in fact.

Graduates una don hear? Dem want send una go war front go fight war, so make una all prepare to tanda or no alawee for una, lol. Silly stupid ignorant Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig.Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim! |

sonmvayina:Okay. If you way so. Though, again, you have failed to reconcile whether humans are "Spirits (+ flesh) that can't make choices" as you claimed, or if humans are spirits (+ flesh) that have "the ability and capacity to make choices", as you also claimed. I am insisting because it really is a spade and a shovel connundrum that should be resolved before we proceed with my education please. |
LordReed:Sorry my Lord, but you are wrong. First, what you call "war of religion" is really simply a war because of irreconcilable differences in ideologies. Pre-religious ideological wars would have been fought between homosapiens and neanderthals, and the three Nahua altepetl city-states: Mexico-Tenochtitlan, Tetzcoco, and Tlacopan fought between themselves despite neither Christianity and Islam adventing amongst them, as did numerous warring factions in pre-Christian and pre-Islamic ancient China, and ancient Rome, and ancient Greece, and ancient my own pre-Christian and pre-Islamic Yoruba Land. Point is, there is a lot of record of war that had absolutely nothing to do with religion, because we know we humans have gone to war over water, and land, both of which have absolutely nothing to do with religion. Even the first and second world wars were not religious wars since they were in fact mostly wars between those of one single religion. |
achorladey:I completely agree. He sounds more like a recruiter for bokoharam than a recruiter for Jehova Witness, which he would have turned me against if not for my wonderful amazingly kind Jehova Witness neighbour, and Jesus Christ in my life. We can only tell him and pray Jesus Christ opens his eyes one day. |
I wrote this in response to a person who's analogy was to a car as your's is to a robot, and I present it here for consideration so you know how much education I might be needing budaatum: |
LordReed:I always did see you becoming John, my Lord. Just don't go telling everyone about the dove or you might be understood and the corner become crowded. |
Now to my question if we later find out that life exist elsewhere, will it shake the foundation of religion?Yes, it would shake what you refer to as the "foundation of religion", though in reality religion has no foundation per se, since even the Abrahamic religions have a pre-foundation in Egypt, which likely got its pre-foundation from lots of elsewheres. Still, just like when Akhenaten changed 'religion' from polygod to monogod, and as Moses changed 'religion' by introducing Yahweh to the Israelites, and as Nicolaus Copernicus changed 'religion' by formulating a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than Earth at its center, and just like when Galileo di Vincenzo Bonaiuti de' Galilei changed 'religion' by supposedly giving birth to the scientific method, which Eve had already long ago given birth to in Eden, and just like Jesus Christ changed religion when despite it saying he did not come to change the Law, changed the Law so some now bow down and worship him; and like Muhammed changed religion, and like Buddha changed religion, and Einstein changed religion and Newton changed religion, and as America changed religion when they landed man on the moon and God was not found there, to name only but a few discoveries that changed the 'religion', so too would finding aliens change our religious understanding. Because "religion" is simply how we humans understand the world to be and how we religiously teach it to one another, and as we can observe by opening our eyes, we change our understandings whenever we observe new data that forces us to change our minds and what we refer to as religion. Edit Read The reason religion still lingers |
LordReed:You are not allowed to tell anyone my Lord, or people might start to wonder why you'd love Bible obsessed buda!

benalvino2:Still proves my point. Fired for whatever reason like this one from way back in 2007 when he likely hadn't even begun working for Google, which is what would have happened to me if I had not suspended my errant Malaysian manager according to procedure. "Take evidence", lol. I tell those I mentor to always keep a work diary in case it's someday needed. And even on here on Nairaland I never forget my every word is evidence for and against me, which is why I am very conscious of what I write, you'd find. By the way, I miss you. You've left me with Mr Umudike, and Basilico who is no good unless its Sunday! |

Atiku:Funny that they register new monickers when they beg for help as if they know they would not stand a chance in heaven and hell if we read their history! |
Another school fees will be due soon so don't wait and come begging here next time. Remember that the ground will only produce food for you when the sweat of thy brow falls on it and not just when you fall on your knees and come praying here for others to give you manna to eat!
