Women are smarter too. Instead of believing Adam's crap, Scientist Use the Senses Eve plucked and ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to test if it is true that on the day that she eats it she will surely die, and finding it was good for gaining wisdom, her eyes opened, she invented clothes, she and her stupid Adam became free and self employed and they both lived for 900 or so year and populated the earth with people. www.nairaland.com/attachments/11000678_notablestrongwoman1_jpegfcb825ad574991670c3a5c5080380080 |
HellVictorinho:buda defends a book, lol. Pieces of paper from trees. See buda's siggy, Hell. Love one another! They that sayeth they are in the light and hateth another remaineth in darkness. Human Rights My faith in you is unwaveringly eternal. |
emonis88:Stay in one lane, lol. To suit you, you mean. You are very funny to think buda runs on lanes. |
LordReed:Oh! I get him now. I guess trump too was "prone to exaggeration and hyperbole" and never meant the crap he said about the election neither! Good thing no one listened to him then, not even the courts who obviously saw right through him and his crap. It would have been good of him to have let his supporters here know at the time though so they could have stop believing the kraken. |
emonis88:Good thing is, our words live on NL long after we post them. No, I did not ask people to vote or not vote for bubu, though I would have given my right hand and both feet so Atiku was not president, but I am delighted Nigerians voted for the person who called them lazy fuqs, because truth be told, most Nigerians are wailing lazy irresponsible fuqs and needed to be told. So, sai bubu! Says buda. |
Kokobilo87:Did you miss Fox's posts claiming they did not believe what they had been claiming about the election? Did you miss Powell releasing her kraken but now claiming her kraken was unbelievable? Indeed, it is buda whom the media has fooled and not koko. |
HellVictorinho:You mean, those who have seen you read a verse or two? What you clearly haven't done is start at "In the beginning" and work your way page by page to the end. |
Kokobilo87:"Question everything" does not mean "fill your head with crap just so you get to question". By Fox's own admission they publish lies that they do not expect you to believe so why waste so much time just to question what even they know is not true? I guess you got time or nothing better to do. But once your credibility is blown like Fox blew theirs, not many sensible people would waste their time bothering to question you just to hear you lie some more. As for Powell, I guess she did not realise a lot of non-sensible people took her kraken as gospel truth when she was offering it as such. Her flipflop now just shows one shouldn't listen to her at all as I'm sure you'd agree if it were Biden who had done what she did. I can bet a little money she would not be the poster person for any children you may have, but do note, little. |
Kokobilo87:Well, glad you know you need to start. More grease and all. Start with dumping Fox News et al since it seems they don't expect their lies to be believed anyway. |
Fleshrev:I believe pigs will grow wings and fly. They just don't believe it yet. I also believe you will give me ₦10m today and I believe you believe it too. Actually, make that ₦9m because I need you to do something with 1m on my behalf when you are ready please. God bless you. |
Kokobilo87:Did I need to state how sarcastic I was being at your inability to do what you preach? |
LordReed:Of course it can not possibly be or we'd need to lynch the narcissistic fuqer and completely obliterate even its non-existence! It's a big book my Lord. Most do not ever read it and fewer understand what they claim they read. |
I can not imagine being too lazy to cook my own food! The opposite is in fact the case for me. I'll cook then be too lazy to eat enough of it and end up eating a small portion if any at all. And its not because I nibble while cooking, as ma's koboko was a good tutor on not to do that. Small appetite I guess, even on one cooked meal a day. Annoying for me but joy for anyone with me when I do cook. Supper today will be dodo and beans that I've been postponing for like 3 days while eating salads. And that's me hoping its not carried over, again. |
Kokobilo87:Those who know the buda who will eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to see if it is true that one shall surely die on the day that one eats thereof, and who know buda will go up the mountain with Moses to see the face of God, will laugh that you teach buda to suck eggs like buda is a baby. |
HellVictorinho:Hell, please read the following very carefully. I have put it in bold so you do not miss it. HellVictorinho is lazy not for condemning the Bible, but for not reading the Bible at all before condemning it! And please do not bother lying that you have read it because it is obvious that you haven't. |
Are you suggesting my lawyer can pass off blatant lies as legal opinion? I wonder if my lawyer knows that. I must ask her how we can get rich from her lying on my behalf, but I guess we better check first that she won't get debared for professional misconduct. Kokobilo87: |
edi287:Makes you wonder, who the fake media now! |
HellVictorinho:Well, doesn't it have repercussions, not understanding being one obvious one? Hell, you can't kill a gnat, so don't make out that your lazy understandings count. Some understandings are so pointless and devoid of brain use that one must wisely dismiss them as the rantings of the lazy that they just might happen to be. But if you'd like to ignore our hard working mother on the farms and would rather be taken seriously as a mass murdering terrorist, do please state your location so the appropriate authorities can be informed. |
HellVictorinho:That's a lie, Hell. You could have used zillions of combinations of letters to choose a name for yourself but you chose HellVictorinho with your own mind and freewill and can change it whenever you want. I hope you don't though, because I have faith in your victory over hell some day. |
LordReed:I don't think even you believe the God is narcissistic, or at least I hope you don't, because that would mean you are blind to the narcissistic understanding of the people of Biblical times. It's like as if some tribe used to bash the heads of twins against rocks then someone blames the rock or the twins and not the basher. People do a similar thing with the Bible too when they claim it justified slavery for instance, instead of holding the justifier responsible for their own ignorance. Atheists need to evolve to reading the books without the theistic lens that blinds them. They'd be fascinated to find that Jesus was an unbeliever like them, though, more diplomatic, since he knew the consequences.
|
LordReed:I hope you've noted my hypocrisy. I do not need to concern myself with the existence of Gods since most arguments are about the text in a book that everyone can read. But if existence becomes an issue, I so love Jesus Christ. Two commandments, he gave, "be a Godist", and "be a Humanist", but despite literally teaching the more important, "Worship one another", and thereby placing the latter above the former, the Book believers would rather be the former than do the latter, which kind of turns most discussions into the sort one would have about "Marvel Avengers or Game of Thrones" with those who don't understand them, or mostly never watched them at all. Anyway, it is not true that the God in the Bible is narcissistic. It is humans imposing their own narcissistic understandings on their Gods. Your wife clearly does not do this or I do not think you'd be able to maintain a home with her, but you will kindly forgive me for assuming to impose a "worldviews" on your family based on assumptions of "the literature from which they largely grow their arguments". Lol. |
I wonder if they'd say he was in love and should marry a child if the supposed woman was 12. www.nairaland.com/attachments/11690084_notablesayno2_jpegc3ebe7d9549b432f89aca396124e101c |
LordReed:Unfortunately, as I'm sure you are finding, discussing "Marvel Avengers or Game of Thrones with people" is not the same as discussing Gods with those who insist on "worldviews" based on assumptions of "the literature from which they largely grow their arguments". |
keppler:I hope you can therefore understand why Lordreed will ask you to go have your argument "with what the literature from which they largely grow their arguments", and not with him. LordReed:He has his own worldview you see, but you want to ignore that and strawman him "with what the literature from which they largely grow their arguments", as if there is some agreement of you both having read the same literature. |
keppler:I know you said you "don't like discussing interpretations of scripture". But you can't dismiss someone else's understanding and expect them to have nothing to say about it. The Bible is a big subjective book and humans are bound to subjectivity, and those who claim complete objectivity are the most subjective of all for not knowing they are. The Bible has numerous lessons on this, "Thank you Lord I'm not like that tax collector over there", being a specific teaching of Christ on the subject, along with my favourite, the Parable of the Orangutan that I already mentioned. It was the constant issue that many who claimed to be objective had with Subjective Christ, and the Holy Spirit is the epitome of that Subjectivity, the grounder, as in, the test if proper understanding being "none other commandment greater than these", though, as Christ taught, the second is greater since, "inasmuch as one does for those one sees, the God one sees not is worshipped". Jesus not only Sola Scriptura, he Sola Life Experienced too, and he definitely Sola Opened His Eyes To See, for as he himself said, Those who Sola in one way alone will become malnourished. Do note that inasmuch as you respond to a post on NL, you have begun dissecting issues on NL. And that's what makes NL the great sangha that it is. We all come here to Sola Learn, even if we think we are Sola Perfect already. |
Rick9:Economics of short distance to destination. It's not the first time its been through there. |
keppler:Which you find incompatible with your own understanding, you mean. But I'm sure you would not claim your understanding is the only correct one I hope. |
keppler:But isn't the issue here that Christianity, or let's say, the Bible, is subject to interpretations which differ? For example, some say to be a Christian one must believe and they quote numerous verses to support their position. But is understanding not more important that mere belief which demons also do? The Priest and the Levite so believed that they refused to do the work to the point that Jesus said the pagan non-believing Samaritan should be emulated and not them. Atheism is even more inconsistent because there is no unifying equivalent to the Bible, and while some believe there are no Gods, some see such people as weak atheist because they merely believe instead of know there are no Gods. I guess my point is in the assumptions about the contents of the head of another. It results in strawmaning whereby one is arguing against one's own position that one has imposed on some other person as often happens on here. |
emonis88:Trust me. Bubu is doing great in teaching you to stop being an irresponsible lazy fuq, but if you refuse to learn, I'm sure he'd gladly do a third term so you can have the opportunity of going through the lesson he is teaching you again. I am certain that by then even you will pass the be responsibe exams and stop hoping bubu will feed you. The following might help your understanding. budaatum: |
keppler:Worldview is not necessarily a form of belief system or perspective! One may have a worldview of disbelief too. Study Adam and Eve in the Bible to see what I mean. Adam believed and did not bother to test his beliefs and would have remained a slave for God only knows how long, while smart Eve disbelieved and tested with her own senses what she was told to believe and freed them both from slavery. keppler:And now have you hit the head of the nail. You fail to recognise that the morality that even theists learn originated from the subjective humans simply because you received your morals as an object in a book without knowing their subjective human origin. And you are equating "worldview" with objective reality, which it clearly is not since a worldview is precisely a view of a subjective human being, and in this instance, seen through respective theistic or atheistic lens. Either ways, they'll both be best served saying please and thank you and not killing each other. keppler:For your own selfish survival advantage perhaps, be you a theist or an atheist, as history shows, which is why we humans, in our wisdom, have devised the Holy Bible and such other texts to teach you to be humanistic, the meaning of which is "love your neighbours and your enemies moreso", for the common good of all humans. You just need to do a little bit of research to find how universal that law is. |
keppler:Bravo! You get my point. |
