So here is my timeline for those that might catch one or 2 from it.

Applied for TRV. MAY 3 2023.
Biometrics was. MAY 7 2023
GCMS Notes. APRIL 3 2024
PPR APRIL 8 2024.

So I applied from the UK for a tourist visa with hotel booking, No IV used , processing time showed 385 days but I filled the form and my traveling date was to be April 13th. Airline won't allow me to book a flight more than a year.

After my biometrics, I got my 5 years US visa, so I submitted a webform in October with the visa page. The profile was updated on 27th Dec but nothing changed. Sent several webform asking for update but no response.

So I decided to order a GCMS notes base on advised given here. I think $19 or thereabout. Added additional webform same day that my traveling date is fast approaching and I have a non-refundable flight tkt and some other points.

PPR dropped today.

QUESTIONS:

Is it possible to submit my passport if I am in Texas?
And how long before the passport is returned?

Please I would like to know, people that pushed their applications in before March 11 deadline, like those that applied n 8,9 and10..
What was the success percentage rate..?

Did a good number of them get approval?

Those that applied since Feb has not been attended to, guess they paused all pending applications on standard.

Just want to confirm some things from the elders.

Have been planning to climb the ladder all this while, I moved my deposit to the UK from Nigeria long time ago, like 2 years now, but just because my bank account was new and I don't have the urge to shalaye to banks where the lump sum came from, so I left the funds in a relatives account ( British)

Now I have all my documents ready and want to put in an offer on a property.

My question is.....

Is it advisable to move the funds now to the bank account I want to use in getting the mortgage or I should wait till the bank approves the before transferring the funds to my account?

Giving that it's more than 2 years that the gbp has been transferred. Do I still need to provide documents /proof of funds during AML check?

If my relative transferred the funds to my account now, won't the bank assume it was a borrowed funds from him or how do I explain it was sent to him for safekeeping?

When is the right time to move the funds to my account? Now or after applying for a mortgage?

Thanks

Hello Good Nairalanders,

I am planning to buy a ticket for one of my siblings to start a healthcare job in the UK. I am currently not in Nigeria. A copy of the VISA he showed me showed a COS with duration of 3 months on the VISA.

Can I buy a one-way ticket for my sibling or should it be a return ticket? Thanks.

You're mixing things up.
Visa is different from CoS.

Your sibling applied for skilled worker visa, they'll be issued a 90 days visa, regardless of the numbers of years on the CoS.
When they get to the UK, they'll now pickup their BRP that has the durations /years on the CoS.

And yes, you can get them a one way tkt,
If they're a frequent flyer. NIS are bunch of parasites that feeds on ignorance.

I just reapply again.....thanks but is there a way i can practice before they schedule another assessment again?please i need help

The hardest part is the ladder game.
You see the keys and door path, you need to
Mark all the steps you've taken although you've just
4 minutes to solve it but if you play puzzle well, you should be fine. Another part to watch out for the customer service related part. Just calm and read the question like 2-3 times before you attempt it. I can give you more hint in private.

@advanceDNA,

Have you had anyone that passed the tfl customer service online assessment test. A friend of mine passed and got this message attached. The center for the next assessment is in W14.

Do you have an idea what to expect?

There is one you enter a bus and the bus is ferried to France straight. You go love the sight seeing. From there you go use Thalys to your destination.

Dependant(child visa) / head..

Does that mean no where in the MA form they ask?

Each child just need to fill a separate form and quote the MA GWF or COS number and show proof?

Hello people... in a dilemma here.

I have a scheduled appointment at VFS Manchester this Friday for Denmark. Real destination is Netherlands.

Initial travel date was 23rd but a late adjustment has moved event to 8th September.

I haven't booked a return flight yet. None of them offers a refund.

1) Do I fill a new application form for the new date or do I leave it with the old date?

-------Your application form traveling date needs to correspond with your travel insurance and itinerary.

2) Can I book a ticket to Netherlands instead or must I travel to Denmark as stated on my application form that Denmark is the main destination.

-------Book it the way you like, for as long it shows you're reaching the Denmark you mentioned. It is not a must you go to Denmark, also, klm would give you a full refund if you pick the flexible tkt.

3) Is there a way to book flight without paying yet- say ticket reservation for 1 or 2 days?

-------Yes you can hold the tkt for 72hours but what if your application was not processed within that time frame nko?

4) What's the minimum on a shengen visa? I applied for 90 days multiple entries.

------Mostly, you're getting 3 month for a first time applicant but I have seen Malta issue 3 weeks to someone before, so it depends on the embassy.

5) Any other advice

@IvanCardozo

For flights, I used Ryan air. Got some tickets for as low as £9 (just make sure your luggage no pass 1 bag). Please how did you get it this cheap?

Do they refund payments?

Asking for a friend.

For someone applying for a skilled worker visa from Nigeria, on the application form, they only ask for the MA info and that of their partner. There is no where in the form that says how many children do you have or where to put the childrens info. Is that how the form is? And how are the kids to apply with their mum later?

Check the email you used when applying.

I uploaded mine. It’s an addition to your application. Even when I got promoted at work I still uploaded the promotion letter. If you have the visa after the application you can use the webform and upload.

OK. Noted.
Thanks

Do you mean after you submitted your application for Canada visitor visa that you gotten your US B1/B2 visa?

Or You haven't apply for Canada visa ?

You have to submit the copy of the visa and Click Yes where they asked do you hold US non immigrant visa.

After they've submitted their Application, done biometrics and background check has started. Then they got a B1/B2.

If someone received B1/B2 USA visa after they've applied for Canada TRV. Do they need to upload the USA visa to aid their application or Canada would find out one way or the other?

I really don't understand. It's a straightforward application process. There's nothing out of the normal I think.

Just get to Denmark VFS website and pray you get a slot.

He is not talking about appointment. 🤣😂
He is asking if you can be his Agent with resou,
And how to gather necessary documents.

Keep trying, VFS website is total crap, even if you see dates, it takes time before you can book it. Try incognito mode.
I still saw some over the weekend. Would let you know once the appt are up again.

The guy just dey cry over nothing

I have a £1,000 limit, I spend what I want (within my own reasonable limits) and before the statement due date comes, I make sure I pay everything and leave £70 - £90 max to be take in full via direct debit

All, I have learnt from this thread and some small Youtube videos and I am sure to tell everyone who has used my link to apply offline to practice the same method. Spend only what you have or dont spend it at all, very simple concept

I do not understand why he thinks the concept is hard or why he is triggered cheesy

I didn't spend up to 1% on mine and a 16 whooping point was removed from my credit score. Fear catch am.

You use and Don didn't pay. Wàhálà
You don't use again. Another wàhálà.

Tried. It doesn't go beyond the postcode. It still insists on a postcode in UK
Enter address manually for overseas.

Thanks. I wanted to get a CC cos I would be moving out of the place I stay currently to a bills inclusive house and the things that helped me get that high score won't be available anymore. So I need to the CC to stay in that range or keep going up without dropping.

I tried the popular British Amex card everyone is advertising here but I couldn't even check eligibility cos it's not accepting any postcode outside of UK

Please how did you go about the 2 years address thing because even to check eligibility, it's not accepting postcodes outside of UK. Am I missing something?

It's actually the 0% in first 22 months I was going for but I'm open to trying other cards if there are better recommendations please

Thanks Lexusgs430. Please suggest a CC with better rewards please

Viruses:

Thank you for detailing this.

My mum does not work but she has like 200k in the account. (She's a trader but I can't prove this so I'm going with the option of She's not working).

I'm just wondering how much I should put in her account before printing statement or if I should print with the 200k like that.

Don't transfer any money to her, you're the one sponsoring, you should be bothered about your own finances.

Take for instance, you're sponsoring her and the total cost is like £2000 and you have 2500 in your account , that didn't look good enough.

You need to upload her statement as well, there is a section there where they asked. " How much are you spending personally on the trip. Choose something below £100. Cause if she spend like 100k on her trip, what is she falling back on when she return home.

Get letter from school about your graduation as well.
Add council tax
Add utility
Add pictures.

I just did for a relative as well.
A pensioner and I threw in everything in my arsenal.
Passport picked today, vignette sitting pretty.

No platinum. Any idea on how to go about the address history

I won't advise the platinum.
Why not start with the Barclayscard first, considering the amount of time spent in the UK.
Just my opinion though.

Hi guys

Me again o.

Please I'm trying to apply for a CC but the application form doesn't have a space to input overseas address. Barclays card to be precise.

Any way around this please?

Also, is it advisable to
1) check eligibility first? My CS is 968
2) just put that I've lived in my current address for 2 years as against 9 months

You need to check eligibility first.
Are you using a Barclays account already?
If so, I think you won't see where to input other addresses until you try to apply. Their limit are also small, I was lucky to get £1200 from them Sha after tweaking things.
Lastly, there was no Hard print left on my record Sha.

It depends on how much time you still have on your visa and also the mood of the Border Agent you meet on arrival. They may not let you in If you have less than 2 months.

You're not illegal until the end of your BRP.

Is it advisable for an international to travel out of the UK immediately after his course without changing changing his visa from student visa?

For as long as you still have month left on your Brp.

For instance brp to end 31/05/2023.

Trip to Paris. Departure 24/03- Arrival 30/03. No issue at entry.

Trip to Lagos. Departure 07/04- Arrival 27/04. No issues. Only question asked was, are you applying for PhD after? 😂😂😂. For my mind, I was like shey you dey whine me ni.

i think I remember Banana, evaporated milk (the type wasn't specified) and one Kolaq product

Milk type no matter.
The most important is the milk to change the taste of the kolaq cause it is bitter(Agbo). And so that it can form a perfect smoothie and you can drink it in her presence without you questioned about the buildingproject you wan start. 😂🤣🤣😂
