Eyah! I am sure she got scared but running is not the solution. Someone shoild pls advice her to go back and serve her time for carelessness! Nigerians, we think what we do in Naija is applicable everywhere? You leave toddlers in the house and go out, they do it all the time in daycares here too or they put innocent children to sleep with some cough syrups and continue with their own whatever. This is really sad, may the souls of these kids rest in perfect peace. My condolences to the parents. It is well.

campella:

This scenario only happens in an ideal situation where the structures are people-oriented. Na so dem teach us for our govt textbooks.
The senate might even delay the passing of the bill for political reasons. Even if they pass it, they may decide not to present it for assent on time. Do you remember what happened to Electoral Amendment bill?
My point is that, if they submit it to gej for assent and the guy does not sign. Then, that is a doom for the Nigerian people because automatically it means that the presidency is not in support of the bill.
And what do you think will be end of the bill? As am sure u know, NASS are not that patriotic, what they would end up doing is to negotiate with the presidency - CORRUPTION.
At the end of the whole game, an adulterated version would  be passed.

[b]My bro, you are just right, with the kind of people we have as law makers.
But what would we do?
Just sit and look?

I don't think the stance we should take here is sidon look o! We can all make a change. Lets bombard them on every media available for the change we desire to see. Lets go on Facebook, bombard Mr President, Lets go to twitter, BB, all! Make it ur status for the next one week on ur profile! We the youths can effect this, I believe it! Lets stop keeping quiet!

But guys what should she have said? Did anybody force them to the campaign ground? No? the woman u r claiming turned her face in the pix, why didnt she talk her son or whoever out of going to the campaign? If u say they didnt die for democracy then they died for what they obviously believed in and thats better than dieing for nothing. Why don't we just for once be positive minded and accept some things. If the first lady or nobody goes to visit the deceased family we will cry wolf, now they have done some condolence visits and we are still crying wolf! Aiye ma le ke!!!!

Sports / Re: Babayaro Declared Bankrupt •chased By Creditors In Uk by Bukittes(f): 4:24pm On Feb 18, 2011
I find this thread so very coincidental. For some of us doubting if the story was true or not, just two weeks ago my childhood friend came to spend some time with me from Abuja, we got talking and she told me she sees Cele in Abj cos we all grew up in Kaduna b4 parting ways for our different vocation. I asked how he is and this pathetic story was what she told me that can I believe Cele lives in a rented apartment in ABJ despite all that money then. I didn't know it was this bad though but I guess there was no lie in what she told me. I sincerely hope that we all learn from their mistakes.

phantom23:

Before you start running your mouth like tap, why not try go to kano (especially if you are from the south), set up your business and then try to become the governor of kano state. I'm not tribalistic or racist, if he wants to govern let him do so in his geo political zone, magana yakare
you know what, this is not worth my time sef, i'm out

Thank u o!!!!!!!

@maclatunji, school? thru wit it ages ago and u still cant beat my records I am sure! lol and putting 100% of them at work still does not give him the right to rule Lagos can't u get the point? You cant even try that in their own state! What an effrontery! I live in the core North and I know what I am saying about these people, they tend to claim anything thats flourishing. Give them a mile and they definitely will take a hundred. See what they have turned Jos into! Look at Kano, once they see non - indigenes prospering they are angry to their neck and the next time there's an outbreak of violence they come to ur house to loot that which they think u got (albeit thru) tolling in their land! Who has ever stood up against Dangote in the south? Nobody cos we believe that when u work hard u should have a reward for that hardwork but no, these northerners dont think like that! they hate u simply because they knew when u came as a corper and suddenly u r riding a car right in their presence dem go begin hate u! Lets not let a northerner into Lagos o before the next time u are talking they will claim its their own! Thats their way of thinking and its just preposterous!!!!
Politics / Re: Dangote Should Run For Lagos State Governor In 2015 by Bukittes(f): 10:39am On Feb 10, 2011
maclatunji:

This thread has exposed many people as being tribalistic. Someone even said that a Yoruba man cannot be Governor in Kano, so why should an Hausa man be Governor in Lagos? For your information, a Yoruba man was elected Governor in Kano once, so going by her logic, an Hausa man can also be Governor in Lagos. The system of government in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole is democracy. Definitely, anybody is free to run and seek the people's vote, if he wins so be it.

We the Yoruba were in the middle of a vicious civil war at the end of 19th century, before the British overwhelmed the different factions or sub-tribes. I always laugh when people claim Yorubaland, Hausaland or Igboland. They don't even know what the game is or how to play it and they are self-conceited with their ignorance.

Ultimately it is about political power, not really ethnicity or religion. Even if we made your family an independent country with all the lands you possess there would still be divisions, so stop pontificating already.

Well if u r talking about Kwankwoso, which I know well he's the one u r referring to then as he claims (till now) he is from Kano. Has Dangote refuted the fact that he is from Kano? Just like Tinubu didnt claim Osun and is not claiming it. Let me shock u again, Shekarau in Kano right now is a Biu man and not from Kano but he claims Kano. If Dangote claims Lagos (which is already too late) maybe we "can" consider him but my guy, its too late! Whats stopping him from contesting in Kano sef? He has the money to spend and I am sure they will vote him in droves! Meanwhile is this a strategy for him to enter into politics and he has hired pple like Mr Know Nothing and his cohorts to see people's opinion? Whahala dey o!

I am not surprised that there is a drop in outage, we are in dry seasons and we all know that the water level goes down. Jonathan has done better than most before him. Why cant we just give him credits for some lil achievements. He is not a perfect man and he's struggling to make right things that had been wrong for ages and within months we want miracles from him! haba make we relax now. I am sure the figures he read out initially was given to him by whoever and its possible someone is playing foul with him by given him wrong data. We are in a political arena my friends and anything is just possible meanwhile thats not a reason why he should not have confirmed his information before going on air!

THISDAY also learnt that Bakare had once declared his ambition to run for the chairmanship of Abeokuta Local Government area of the state.

thank you for letting us know that he had always had a passion for politics and was only using SNG and all those prophecies to get attention to where he is now. So he should stop telling us he didn't have any ambition until Buhari called him, iro nla! Why didn't he contest then? Strategist! God dey o Man of God

Educated illiterate thats what u r sister Uplawal! English is ur lingua franca in case ur dumb head cannot comprehend well. If u r so against it why are u communicating here in English, write Hausa now fool and see how u can communicate effectively. Who says u shouldn't know or learn your language but it been the language used in teaching is what we are talking about here. It does not matter even if its Yoruba or Ibo.  All we are saying is let this people learn to read and write in a growing environment and don't hamper their knowledge! Give them a fair chance in the world. But I see thats hard for u to comprehend! Please, learn to read your write ups to correct your spellings before posting. It only shows how intelligent u r.

if i burn your billard table and your only option of retalliation is to go about burning mosques and killing people--then you have only shown the hidden terrorist that you really are, Christians starts all these Reliogious crisis outbreaks i still wander the kind of things they read in their human authored book, the so called holly bible. AS a muslim you must not take the laws into your hands,

why must religion be a threat to Nigerians unity , its a shame

See this Mutallab brother wey dey call anoda person terrorist! Lol!! Why can't some people keep quiet instead of showing their stupidity, ignorance and lack of intelligence in  a public forum? If its another person abuse that una book now the person's head will be on display for all to see but u have the effrontery to abuse our book and u call urself a peace loving religion? Indeed u r! A peace loving religion or person does not see another man's belief and scorns at it.  Ur language and actions in this country speaks all for itself. Ur records are well documented with the number of blood u have shed in this country and whether u take laws into ur hands or not is a question u know the answer to very well. Mschew,
