Politics / Re: Presidency: I’ll Run If God Permits Me – Bakare by Bukittes(f): 3:08pm On Jan 24, 2011
Funny but much expected. I knew he was going to veer into politics sooner than later what with the way he kept making statements and prophecies on political issues. Anyway sha, na sidon look we dey so o! Afterall, Jonathan too said he was waiting on God to direct him whether to rerun or not then, when even the foetus in its mama belle knows the answer say the guy go run hin dey deceive us. Dem try, make dem dey use God name lasan na dem sabi. The only good thing be say na one by one wey go stand b4 this God on judgement day and we go talk. So if God call am to be vice to a muslim, make hin carry go but he should know that the whole world is watching him and he shouldn't make mockery of his salvation and the death of our Saviour.
Politics / Re: Goodluck Jonathan's Kids Are In School Mine Is At Home! by Bukittes(f): 11:36am On Jan 19, 2011
I really dont understand why we keep posting threads like this. Must we always condemn our leaders for their actions and inactions? Is GEJ the school management board or what? Pls lets be very sensible when we talk about our leaders afterall they are just mere mortals like us so who says they are infallinble?

Business / Re: Union Bank Is On Strike? by Bukittes(f): 4:21pm On Dec 15, 2010
It seems you are all chicken hearted. Ye men of little faith, why are you all panicking? Have you forgotten that Nigeria is a country where the unimaginable is the norm. Welcome to the country where 3 month old babies struggle for their daily bread from their mother's bosom; a country where 10 year old kids smoke marijuana with reckless abandon and where 12 year old girls become pregnant. A country where over N600million is used for renovating a single apartment; a country where our pot bellied law makers engage in a free for all without recourse. Welcome to the country where the abnormal is the norm.

@Consulmartins, well said. This is a country where anyone and anything can go on strike. Doctors and nurses going on strike without human sympathy nor respect for life! Something is definitely wrong with this country of ours! Pls does anyone know what it is? Please?

Family / Re: How Do You Deal With A Close-minded Spouse? by Bukittes(f): 2:46pm On Dec 14, 2010
Personally, I have never been the type given to making demands on a guy, what type of phone I want, clothes I desire, cars i wish to ride, e.t.c. because I hate the feeling of not been able to cater for my own needs. If I need a phone & my guy knows I need a phone & we discuss on the issue & he feels like buying me a phone (not on my request) I see it as a gift even when I know he bought what he felt is good for me, I can still go ahead to buy what I desire. Period. If actually he's the controlling type, he is sure to flare up & tell u that u r not appreciative but sincerely he knows and knew what I wanted. The problem with us ladies most times is that we see a guy we are dating as a means to meet our needs. Personally, I cannot tolerate a domineering guy who thinks he's always right. Nope! I won't!! I got educated on parent's money to be able to make decisions that affects me positively and I should still have that freedom whether in marriage or outside it. The best marriages have always been the one where the couple sits down to deliberate on issues & come to a conclusive conclusion as per whats right & wrong for the betterment of the family. Whats the need for family when my husband is King Kong? Please save me the agony!
If he is manipulative & domineering now, he'll be worse when u guys are married so sister, its ur decision to take a walk if u can't be "patient"

Romance / Re: Would You Marry Someone Below Your Status?: Vote by Bukittes(f): 3:05pm On Dec 13, 2010
I am a sucker for intelligence and the first thing that gets me crazy about a guy is his level of intelligence. Now if u tell me to marry a mechanic for instance, I'm not against his profession but I am against the fact that we cannot reason alike, have same friends, see things in the same light & that alone reduces the ability to communicate effectively. Why are we marrying if there is no communication? It will soon pack up!

Culture / Re: Investigating Divorce Cases In Yorubaland. by Bukittes(f): 1:09pm On Nov 10, 2010
emmatok:

@ Ileke-IdI

Are you Investigating Divorce Cases In Yorubaland or Polygamy ?

Because they are two different issues.

As for polygamy most Yoruba women especially the EDUCATED ONES ARE VERY MATERIALISTIC .

They neglect single men withing their age bracket and run after rich married men(ARISTOS) irrespective of his religion but for his wealth.

How can you now blame the men for polygamy when the women willingly run after them for their riches.

@poster, eyah , who is more materialistic than ur people? abeg save us the debate ! Hear him " Educated Ones are more materialistic"" Your own peeps dont even need to be educated to run after material things wherever and whenever they can find it. Materialistic indeed!
Culture / Re: Investigating Divorce Cases In Yorubaland. by Bukittes(f): 1:05pm On Nov 10, 2010
Thread isn't focused. Are we discussing polygamy or divorces in Yoruba land?
If we are discussing polygamy then you all know that the yorubas are not as in to it more than the hausas so what are we talking about here? If we are discussing divorce cases in yorubaland then most of the divorces are caused because the woman cannot do with polygamy and rightly so too. So poster do tell us what we are discussing here, if its polygamy, then lets go towards the North y'all!!!!!!1
Car Talk / Re: Why Are You Driving Manual gear? by Bukittes(f): 9:19am On Nov 10, 2010
I drive a manual Honda Civic. I had two choices when I wanted to buy. Everything was the same except that one was manual and the other was Auto. You guessed right cos I chose the manual not for the price cos even the prices were the same but just like everone has said here, Manual puts u in total control.
Politics / Re: Explosion Rocks Delta Govt House by Bukittes(f): 9:00am On Nov 05, 2010
Tensor or whatever the fake name u've chosen to use is, u don't expect my line of reasoning and urs to be the same, pls respect diversity of opinions here. You and I are not here to make rude comments on people's posts. If u don't have anything to say and u don't intend to keep ur comments to urself find something else to do bro. I think I still can exercise my freedom of speech irrespective of whose horse is gored here or there. Please let me know when the constitution changes as per that.
Sometimes good understanding of English is a problem to a lot of people here and I wish I can correct that! Mscheeeeeeeeew
Politics / Re: Explosion Rocks Delta Govt House by Bukittes(f): 4:03pm On Nov 04, 2010
@Bluetooth, I think u should read posts very well and stop commenting for the sake of trying to make comments. I just told the bombers where to channel their acts and do I need to start mentioning names like you? Is it only IBB that is the perpetrator of evil in this country? You are even suggesting someone who's done his bad part and gone and will definitely not come back, what of those that are there now and are still not hearing the masses? Is it till their deeds all done b4 u want judgement on them?

Politics / Re: Explosion Rocks Delta Govt House by Bukittes(f): 3:24pm On Nov 04, 2010
Inasmuch as I hate violence, I am beginning to loveee thisss new era of "Bomb Scare". Its just so sad innocent masses are sometimes going to be hit (which of course might be me too sad), but truth is our leaders obviously won't listen with ordinary ears except with militant action. I just wish these bombs and whatever can be targeted at strategic areas where it will hit the leaders so bad they won't know what came upon them. Go to House of Assembly where those fools sit to discuss rubbish and bomb their a*s off! I'm definitely in support of that!!!!!!!
