My challenge is that they will go buying houses that they wont be able to maintain after their time of been in the spotlight is over. Why do people not learn from examples? They should go ask Mr abi na Sir Shina Peters ke! Whats wrong with buying a house u can maintain after u r out and out? Wisdom I guess is what all of them lack! |

Family / I Want To Marry My Mother! by Bukittes(f): 3:13pm On Oct 25, 2010 |
A Zimbabwean woman and her son have done the unthinkable – they havefallen in love with oneanother. And now theywant to marry since the mom, Betty Mberekofrom Mwenezi in Masvingo, is six months pregnant and expectingher son ’s child. Mbereko (40), who waswidowed 12 years ago,has been cohabiting with her first child, Farai Mbereko (23). She confirms that she is six months pregnant and that she has decided it is better to “marry” her son because she does not want to marry her late husband ’s young brothers, whom she says are coveting her. Betty stunned a village court last week when she said the affair with her son had begun three years earlier. She said after spending a lot of money sending Farai to school following the death of her husband, she felt she had a right to his money and no other woman was entitled to it. “Look, I strove alone to send my son to school and no one helped me. Now you see that my son is working and you accuse me of doing something wrong. “Let me enjoy the products of my sweat, ” she told the village court. Farai said he was more than prepared to marry his mother and would pay off the ilobola balance his father had left unpaid to his grandparents. “I know my father died before he finished paying the bride price and I am prepared to pay it off, ” he said. “It is better to publicise what is happening because people should know that I am the one who made my mother pregnant. Otherwise they will accuse her of promiscuity.” But local headman Nathan Muputirwa says: “ We cannot allow this to happen in our village, mashura chaiwo aya, (This is a bad omen indeed). In the past they would have to be killed but today we cannot doit because we are afraid of the police. ” He warned them to break off their marriage or leave his village. They chose the latter andhave left the village for an unknown destination. I never knew you but u left me with a jewel, another woman I call Mother today. I dedicate this to you my mother's younger sister who I call Mum. You never made me feel like I lost anyone, sometimes I wonder if my mum coulda done more than what you done for me in life and to yes is just been insincere to myself and ungrateful to you. I love you from the very core of me. You treated me like your own offspring, no bias whatsoever. Infact, people don't even know u r not my biological daughter! What a woman!!! You are simply the best and I thank God for you everyday. May you live long to see that your desire of seeing me getting married and taking care of my child. May this desire come to pass speedily. Nice responses y'all! Thanks but I know what I want as a woman and every woman out there definitely knows what she wants. Sometimes we get to settle for less so as not to be tagged "too choosy" and then the realization dawns after marriage which results to divorce or having an unhappy married life. I for one will not settle for less cos this life is just to be lived once! There is no part - two!!!!! I am not asking for much, I only want a God fearing man who can rise up to the occasion at any time as my husband. A man I can respect in all ramification. House, is that too much to ask for? Don't judge me cos u don't even know me!! @ Gawky, God - assigned roles? we know them and will love to follow them to the latter but do the men even want that? No, they rather want to break all the rules and regulations even before marriage and u know exactly what I am talking about. @Vivaladiva, sometimes I tend to think your way and say whats the fuss about marriage anyways but the truth is the society wants u married and u urself one way or the other wants urself hooked, so what the heck, lets talk about it and maybe we can find solution to the problem of the world but mind u, I enjoy myself without limit, I live day by day, having fun and just been a very happy bubbling single. Sometimes it can be fun! I agree with you, but my question still remains, what do they want that we still don't have? Pretty, Good character, Sound Education, What?? |
Romance / Pretty, Good Character, Sound Education: Then What? by Bukittes(f): 4:50pm On Aug 09, 2010 |
I don't know again o but do these things guarantee a woman getting married these days? Good character, Pretty in all aspect, sound education and all packaged well were prerequisite in those days for a lady to get a befitting husband. THese days, with all these yet plenty unmarried female. What is happening? and don't tell me about the ratio of men to women because that doesn't count!!!!!!!!!! |

My friend just lost his mother yesterday and while he was talking to sympathizers, he said "The most important person in my life has just passed away" The wife who was hearing was set off on edge and asked him where she belonged. If your mother is the most important person where do I belong? Second most or what? Whats your take on this? |

I'm in love with these women! If only we can all protest at these corruptions and lack of human feelings then our country will be a better one. If we can stand up as a community and oust any lawmaker in our constituent that is not fulfilling the demand of pple that elected him. I wish we all can be like this women! I wish!! I sincerely Wish!!!! |
Family / Re: Is Marriage Now Old-fashioned? by Bukittes(f): 12:39pm On Jul 19, 2010 |
I don't think Marriage is old fashion but the thing is that, we are allowing the western culture take over our good judgment. The rate at which we are going now, divorce rates, single parenthood and the likes are already on the increase per day. What do we do? Let everyone redefine what he/she wants in a marriage. Is it for companionship or for procreation? If its companionship, you will find a real companion and not anybody but if its just procreation, then anybody fir born for you now. and thats why we have so many failed institutions. Our priorities are not defined. |
