Politics / Re: Nigerian States Will Soon Be Allowed To Distribute Power - Goodluck by Bukittes(f): 4:59pm On May 17, 2010
Good idea Mr President. But fellow Nigerians, if this works, we have things to start contending with.
1 More charges on bills
2 Will our already dead transformers function?

I like this guys courage anyway, he is standing up to fight for his right unlike many of us who one way or the other has been defrauded by so called promos and win win actions. If we can stand up to them like this, we will go a long way in curb their deceptive ways. See what Zain is doing to people now? Text WIN to 222 quick, its ur chance to win 2 million!! and the only thing u win my dear is deception, deceit!!! Lets all stand like this man and put a stop to all these!!!

Politics / Re: Christian Leaders Brief Jonathan On Yar’adua Visit by Bukittes(f): 10:59am On Apr 09, 2010
These clerics are wise and wise, I must say. Sometimes I wonder how we NL think and comment on issues here. I am solidly convinced from this last episode of Yaddy's drama that the guy is actually very sick and there's nothing anybody can do about it hence the clarion call to clerics. It must be noted that our clerics are in our midst to bring peace and not disharmony in a country, which is what they are playing at. Disclosure of the state of Mr President will not just bring chaos but it will be against their calling. They have seen the only person they are liable to in Nigeria presently which is Mr Acting President. Why don't we just believe their discretion not to divulge and move on with this country? I do not fault them at all. They are wise men and indeed they have proved their wisdom. We are blessed to have them around us. God bless them.
Politics / Re: Visit To Yar’adua Is Personal –oyedepo by Bukittes(f): 1:55pm On Apr 07, 2010
I don't think Bishop Oyedepo has acted or spoken unwisely here. He is not denying the visit but he is not ready to disclose the state of the president's health and what business transacted on that mission. Some reported that the president said amen to prayers while some said he lifted his hand albeit frailly and another report said he couldn't talk then one even said he was seated! We really don't know which to believe but like the Bishop said here, it is a personal thing and he is not ready to disclose, I'm sure he is being very careful not to lie to Nigerians and offend His God. Mute is the word!! I salute your sincerity sir. Why don't we all just wait to see where this is going to end in this Yaradua Saga? Don't blame any cleric for disclosure or non - disclosure, I am sure they have our interest at heart as a nation.

Politics / Re: Senate Approves President's Cabinet Nominees by Bukittes(f): 2:56pm On Apr 01, 2010
Whether to flex his muscles or not, at least they will have little respect or rather loyalty to him since he is the one appointing them. They were unruly and felt since he dint appoint them, he couldn't boss them around e.g Rilwan lukman. Now, i guess they should all know better that Mr Acting President will not tolerate any show of indiscipline. Gbam!

Religion / Re: Natural Disaster Will Soon Hit Nigeria - Adeboye by Bukittes(f): 10:15am On Mar 09, 2010
@ ElRazur, I'm not surprised at your post cos u can't do better than that. U r just a lot off ur head when it comes to discussions about Men of God. And for wishing for this natural disaster to happen simply because it wil reduce the population and because u ain't staying in Naija is preposterous and inhuman of u. Anyway, wherever u r, may the disaster meet u up to destroy u and ur family. And as for Jesus not wearing expensive clothes, go check ur Bible (if u have one) after He was crucified, the soldiers shared His raiment! If it was rags, they won't even bother. Why not shut up ur mouth if u have nothing good to say? @ Aisha, I am not surprised at ur condemnation of a Man of God. What would I have expected of u if not vehement critiscm? We know ur kind, u only like fomenting trouble. Go home and sleep my dear, we know ur kind already!
May we please stop dicing Men of God on Nairaland before God's wrath begins to fall on u! He that has an ear, let Him hear oooooooooo!!!
TV/Movies / Re: Some More Ways To Know You Are Watching A Nigerian Film by Bukittes(f): 9:45am On Mar 09, 2010
For those who do not know:

THINGS WE'VE LEARNT FROM NOLLYWOOD

1. Every problem you have is spiritual.

2. In every romance movie, someone must die.

3. It is possible to hit a person without actually touching them!

4. Anyone who gets hit by a car dies immediately.

5. Poisoned food always tastes better.

6. The best way to make money is by visiting a 'Babalawo'/joining a cult/sleeping with rich men.

7. One of a pair of twins (identical or not) is born evil.

8. There is never an end to your suffering, except death!

9. With a pastor , all things are possible.

10. A movie can be titled anything, such as:

*The boy is mine,
* Face me, I face you
*Two rats,
*Spanner,
*Calculator,
*Igala,
*Ijele,
*Igodo,
*Igudu
*Shigidi

11. A movie has not been made if at least one actor/actress has not-'shelled', twisted his/her lips to speak wrong phonetics'.

12. You are in love, you want to take your girl out, the best place you take her to is,

*Mr. Biggs/Tantalizers: where you'll most probably see an ex while feeding each other.
*The beach: where it is imperative that you ride a donkey and carry her playfully.
*Or the best: take her to buy some new ugly clothes.

13. An Igbo movie has been made if:

* You visit a Dibia (Babalawo)
* A fleet of cars is shown off at regular intervals for a total of half of the movie time.
* Kanayo 'O' Kanayo is in the movie. Pete Edochie is there too!
* To get rich it is mandatory you join a cult

14. Gun shots and knock-outs sound the same!

15. Sometimes the title has absolutely nothing to do with the movie and other times, once you read the title and see the poster you know it all!!! (Also the soundtrack gives you a headache because it just narrates the whole story repeatedly - so much for suspense and intrigue!)

16. A love story has not been produced if it does not have one or two of the following actresses-

* Stella Damascus
* Stephanie Okereke
* Genevieve Nnaji
* Omotola Jalade
* Rita Dominic
* Chioma Chukwuka

17. The police are extremely 'efficient' unlike their counterparts in real life.

18. An actress can wear the same hairdo for more than a year and even in longer flashbacks.

19. It is permissible to wear very dark shades at night!

20. When you are shot in the chest, it really doesn't matter; your head will be bandaged! Same for your legs!

21. When advertising a movie, you really should shout because, people are deaf?

22. When you are extremely poor, you will still be able to afford - a beautiful house, very good furniture, T.V., nice clothes, but you won't be able to send your kids to school.

23. Most especially in Yoruba movies, your gateman must be inefficient and comical. He MUST dress like a freak, be rude to all your visitors and never mind his business.

24. The bad guy always dies or gets caught by none other than the police- LOL!!!!

25. At the end of a three hour movie you'll be reminded that THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, WATCH OUT FOR PART 2!

26. An actor must also sweat profusely when crying.

27. An actor announces his death as he slowly dies- “You killed me” “I’m dying” “I’m dead”

28. In a case where a person is on his death bed, he/she must cough till they die.

29. Every ghost must wear a white cloth and have powdered unevenly distributed on their face.

30. No matter the type of movie, TO GOD BE THE GLORY,

31. The part two is usually someone remembering most part of the part 1

32. The part three and four usually bears different titles with part one and two
Fashion / Re: Oscar Fashion - Who Wore It Best. by Bukittes(f): 4:50pm On Mar 08, 2010
Sandra Bullock actually looks stunning in this dress. She kept it simple and prim. My Queen outdid everyone there jare. She's s cool with that dress and smile. Though this dress is by way less our expectations from her but she still managed to nail it. Jlo, looks absolutely stunning and Miley Cyrus, who is supposed to be at home sleeping or running errands for her parents looks good. I don't know what happened to SJP (Sarah Jessica Parker) 0! She knows how to dress but this is rather a drab and a dissappointment. Hmmmmm, I love Mariah's shoes!!!! Someone get those for me next tomorrow is my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Music/Radio / Re: Omosexy Returns With Second Album by Bukittes(f): 3:57pm On Mar 02, 2010
Truth be told, her first album was bad and an idea of a second one is sad. But what do we know? Lets wait and see. I hope she hasn't gone to cook up something like the home videos we have around again sha. but in my opinion, she should have just stick to her acting and be the darling she is there to us.
