2mch: But you are shifting the goal post. That was a typographical error. Show me evidence that Channels shows the whole meeting. I have only ever seen the highlights. Illiterate market woman. Where is your proof? I will rather watch cable than select lies. Madam bukky is waiting for diezani to parade like a peacock tomorrow. grin
Typographical error indeed induced by so much ogogoro from a professional Agbero. It is difficult to talk sense into your intoxicated brain at the moment. Perhaps, I will let you cool off so that you can resume work at the iyana ipaja garage in just few minutes. Please Endeavour to vist your neighbor who has a TV so that you can watch Channels news at 10pm for an update on today's FEC Meeting.

OLODO! It is not called SEC, it is FEC. Federal executive council meeting. It holds every Wednesday and forms the bulk of news in any media station worth it's salt. The more you try to defend your iilletracy, the more you expose it.

An Agbero who doesn't know that FEC meetings hold every Wednesday since OBJ days in 1999. I'm happy you have come to learn this night. If you have a TV , stay tuned and watch CHANNELS TV or AIT or even STV news later today and you will watch the outcome of FEC sessions. Try it next week too and start following it. Meanwhile, this woman in question was shown on air yesterday attending to some directors in the Nigerian Gas company over the linkage to GEREGU power plant.
Except, she was flown abroad just this morning because that report showed her in a parley with the director's yesterday.
Believe this rumours and you will believe anything.

You will be shocked to see her in tomorrow's FEC meeting. Let's watch and see. I have learnt not to trust these petty Internet based newspapers
PoliticsRe: Patience Jonathan Diagnosed With Ruptured Appendicitis by Bukkyade: 2:50am On Sep 05, 2012
dedeike: From Saharareporters to Premium times. I wonder why these blackmailers always love online news papers rather than the established print media in Nigeria.
Why don't these paid hirelings on Nairaland quote the likes of THISDAY, VANGUARD, PUNCH, GUARDIAN, and even their paymasters NATIONNEWSPAPERS?

The reason is simple. These online media platforms offer pure and unadulterated falsehood for their propaganda machinery. They have no means for verification of the authencity of its reports.
They just quote sources that are anonymous and the deal is done. It's simple. Just cook up c.ock and bull stories and engage an IT expert to upload it online. That is the height of faceless journalism.

A colleague of mine told me in the office that he will start believing anything from SAHARAREPORTERS whenever he sees their representative in any press briefing or conference. And I agree with him.
Abi ooooo! These rumour peddlers will not drive us away from Nairaland. The other day this same magazine told us that a club in Abuja was bombed. They have also told us in the past that madam Patience was behind the Dana crash. They reported that the airline was stopped from landing because of patience. Fake liars!

dedeike: Mr president, I believe you. And I have never been ashamed nor afraid to say it.
You are bringing something new and refreshing to governance. Under your watch, we are beginning to experience new frontiers in the art of governance.

We are beginning to see openness and transparency at its peak. Before you came, NNPC and allied oil agencies were ran like secret cults. No body knew how much was paid as subsidy or the faces behind importation. Subsidy payments were drawn as first line charge, no appriopration whatsoever. Today, we have not only seen the faces of the cabal but we have seen them being dragged to court.  Your govt has given us the first comprehensive legislation on Energy sector as PIB. Your govt is repairing our refineries and executed PPP with Vulcan for 6 new ones.

You are reforming poower. Refurbishing power plants and pursuing privatisation of PHCN. In one year, you have recorded an all time high generation of 4,477 megawatts as evidenced in the links below

http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/index.php/business/174360-power-generation-hits-4477mw

http://newsbreaknigeria.com/news/Nigeria+hits+record+4%2C477.7+megawatts

You are renovating all our major international airports with Enugu shut down completely for overhaul, domestic wing of Abuja airports too. The works include massive upgrade of runways and all airport facilities.

You are sanitizing our ports, withdrawing 9 parasitic agencies from the wharfs thereby easing the clearing of goods
You are starting 9 new federal universities in one year, 2 law school campuses in Yola and Yenogoa, increased funding to 400 billion, setting up Almajiri school systems, settled all outstanding issues with ASUU thereby reducing strikes. Upgrade of lectures retirement age from 65 to 70.
Minimum wage increment for workers and corpers.

Spearheading Agricultural reforms and fertilizer redistribution and the cassava initiative which is largely misunderstood by the unintelligent.
reviving our railways. Commenced phase II of the Lagos- Kano. With Abuja-Kaduna at 30% ongoing.

Through your minister of finance, you re entrenching fiscal discipline and insisting that all projects must pass through due process causing corrupt politicians to threaten impeachment.
They say you should have implemented 100% a budget that was only passed in April all because you insist that the era of racketeering with constituency projects are gone.
Oga, no disturb yourself. Whether they like it or not, GOD will help GEJ to succeed. He has stayed there as elected president for just a single year. His cabinet came on board in July 2011. As at this time last year, Ngozi was just about resuming as Finance Minister. 2012 budget is the first budget prepared by that woman. It was sent to the house since November last year but was only passed in April this year. I wonder what those lawmakers were doing for 5 months.

PoliticsRe: GEJ And His Government Have Failed by Bukkyade: 4:58pm On Aug 25, 2012
My Broda free this guy, he is not worth the explanation.

dedeike: Usually, I don't dignify these kind of tantrums with a response but I am moved by your ignorance to offer a measure of response.

First, you talked about insecurity. It must be acknowledged that this govt is facing a peculiar security challenge in the history of our nation. None other has had to grapple with the harsh reality of fighting suicide terrorism by a section of the country who feels betrayed in the political dynamics of the preceding elections. That notwithstanding, the president has managed to contend with them and keeps Nigeria moving as one free secular state contrary to their will.

Secondly, you talked about fuel increase. It beats me hollow that even in the face of obvious realities, massive corruption and NUPENG/Oil Marketers conspiracy, you still harbour the illusion that fuel subsidy is sustainable. Kpele.

Jonathan's govt seriously wants to reform the oil sector. They seek to achieve this by deregulating the downstream sector. For deregulation to commence, subsidy must go and govt will cease to regulate prices. In a deregulated market, forces of supply and demand will determine pump price. Not govt. In a deregulated market, there will be private sector participation in refineries. When private refineries come on board, importation will end. When importation ends, fuel pump price will not exceed 50 Naira. A deregulated market is competitive and customer is king. Above all, it offers massive employment opportunities

Thirdly, you said the introduction of 5000 Naira notes will devalue our Naira without offering any logical economic reason in support of your claim. I am not an economist but I have a sense of history. I recall that this argument has always been put forward each time a policy like this props up but it doesn't add up later.

Fourthly, you said unemployment. You and I know that unemployment for our teeming 150 million population has been a problem ever before GEJ took over power as elected president. There is no statistics to show that it has worsened. But we can attest to sincere efforts of this govt to curb it. First, The recurrent expenditure profile of 2012 budget was cut by 12% to fund capital projects which is intended to curb unemployment. Secondly, some of these capital projects are visible in the refurbishment of 6 power stations under the NIPP which has boosted power generation to an all time high of 4,477 megawatts. The significant improvement in power is a catalyst for job creation and the growth of SME's.

I don't want to talk about YOUWIN projects because you will say its all politics until you benefit from it. I don't want also to talk about the massive recruitment going on in Civil Defence, police, navy, air force, immigrations because you will say its only for GEJ's Godsons. But I will surely talk about the agricultural reforms, the cassava bread revolution, the fertilizer distribution voucher system, which has eliminated the fertilizer cabal, and increased access to fertilizer in open market to farmers. I will talk about the 400 billion CBN agricultural Loans being currently accessed by genuine farmers across the country. These are policy directions which any unemployed can key into if not for our crase for white collar jobs.

The ongoing PRIVATISATION of PHCN holds serious prospects for employment of our ypuths too. Foriegn investors have besieged Nigeria to participate in the process. Already, there is SEIMENS, GENERAL ELECTRIC, BRASILIAN ELECTROBUS etc

Fifthly, you said corruption. It is on record that this govt took the first bold step in Nigeria's history to self probe the oil sector. For the first time in history, Nigerians are seeing the prosecution of oil thieves and exposure of the oil cabal. Even sons of influential members of the ruling party are not spared. This govt passed the FOI to increase public access to information about govt. our budgets are everywhere for everyone to see and discuss. Subsidy claims are no longer drawn on first line charge basis but captured in the budget. Nothing is secret. NNPC IS NO LONGER A SECRET CULT. Right from the prosecution of Speaker Bankole in the early days of this administration down to the Trial of Akala, Gbenga Daniel & ex governors to police pension suspects and now subsidy suspects, the EFCC has been busy. It's now left for the judiciary to live up to its duty.

In Education, GEJ has increased funding to an all time high of 400 billion. In addition to this, he has in one year fulfilled his promise of establishing 9 new federal universities.
He has also constructed 2 new campuses of the Nigerian law school in Yola and Yenagoa.
He has set up a state of the art Almajiri school for Muslim pupils in Sokoto and more are to be built across the North.
Settled all outstanding issues and disputes with ASUU hence the relative absence of strikes.

I would assume that you are not in Nigeria, or you have refused to notice the developments going on around you. I totally believe in GEJ, and he is doing the best.

PoliticsRe: Nupeng To Start Strike Tomorrow by Bukkyade: 11:46pm On Aug 22, 2012
Countryman93: My brother I quite agree that we ordinarily have no business trusting any ruling establishment in the first place but somehow we still have to be strong enough to give certain things a chance especially when govt is very positive and passionate about a policy like the subsidy thing! I have gone through several thesis and arguments about our petroleum sector and I can bet that someday that subsidy must give way for a difficult but sure path to a sustainable economy no matter how fierce the cabals fight it! Policies developed all the enviable economies today.

Sadly the masses will always receive the horror of all the painstaking surgery that must and will have to be done to heal the incalculable damage of policy disruptions by the mighty shareholders of this country. Be that as it may, we cannot continue taking Panadol for the same ailment for eternity even when a new doctor performs a thorough diagnosis of the ailment and is convinced beyond all doubts that a painstaking surgery is the surest healing in the long run. The promise of a new Nigeria is in the collective resolve of the people to make relentless sacrifices in the face of difficulty.
The issue is that many Nigerians don't even want to reason objectively about this subsidy issue. For them, govt just wants to increase fuel price hence they must be opposed.
Can you imagine this useless situation where the cabal is holding us to ransome because of subsidy?
PoliticsRe: Fighting PDP Is My Lifetime Duty - El-Rufai by Bukkyade: 4:38pm On Aug 22, 2012
Countryman93: For those who care to know, elrufai keeps tweeting and spreading pedestrian falsehood and bitterness per second from his palatial homes in Dubai and Saudi. Elrufai remains a classic case of the bitterness and emptiness after office. By the way who's elrufai? where was he in the times of the real and turbulent democracy struggles in this country? well i guess he was busy with his quantity surveying long before the fortune of hausa fulani inheritance shined on him and he was hand picked by the establishment to BPE and then made minister.

I blame the numerous wizkids OMOJUJUWA, ZEBCROOK & CO whom he employed as his RETWEET AGENTS on tweeter for giving him undue reverence and the fact that today the only standard for becoming famous is to pose as a govt critic and mass crusader even without any credentials and history of struggle. well dwarfs are very notorious for nagging. I think its time MTN stages the "WHO WANTS TO BE RELEVANT" show for Elrufai & Co to contest.

I hear he is building a cyber army in the hope of repeating the Arab revolt in Nigeria so that him and his hausafulani blood cabal and evil establishments will become the residuary of power forever! i laugh in hausafulani!because even Mr Bean knows the limit of stupidity! to start with since 1960, the hausa man never knew what it was to live in crisis with military deployment till recently! the yorubas, ibos and middle beltans have variously had a feel of crisis and army tribulation! little wonder ACF has been besieging and prostrating before GEJ to withdraw soldiers from the north!

it is noteworthy for elrufai and shehu sani's disciples, their sympathizers, programmed cybersoldiers and merchants of nation wide bloodshed that the Arab revolt was not driven by bitterness, hatred and sectionalism. In the course of their cyber mission of capturing power, they have fortunately ended up popularising and eulogizing GEJ esp on tweeter. For the umpteenth time, elrufai and his ilk re just bitter and unemployed political drop outs who fell themselves on the alter of political idiocy and lousiness!

Ordinarily elrufai shouldn't even be a topic on this robust forum in the light of the myriad of very topical issues demanding time and attention but it is good we place people where they realy belong from their perceived prominence in our affairs. in our time every drop out is now a mass crusader and a presidential hopeful. today every wizkid on tweeter is an activist hoping to occupy the country soon from their BBs, Ipads, Laptops etc in the comfort of their homes. well i pray and hope it is that easy in a notorious country like ours!

lastly for elrufai and Co, all over the world people must criticise and oppose government and the ruling establishments but not for sake of hatred, bitterness, lust for fame and political enthronement, sectional and religious solidarity!

Before then, i verily offer my bestwishes to elrufai and family and pray the Almighty time keeper of all Souls to spare him a lifetime for his new apointment! cheers!!
