If there is any tangible proof that Nairaland is sponsored by the opposition to witchunt GEJ, this is it. I don't need any other evidence to prove it. This is injustice of the highest order. Simply because we comment steady on the ongoing Good Governance Tour, Seun and co decided to hide the thread and remove it entirely. Now I know why those threads never made it to the front page. It's very unfortunate. |
Who is the man that spoke last on a blue kaftan, he spoke very well. |
No |
Wonderful projects trending everywhere on Nairaland. I just went through that of the new terminals on the front page and stumbled on this one too. This government is really working hard to deliver the democratic dividends to the people. The air can only get fresher ![]() |
chucky234: Mumu, check the pic for what TWA Terminal at Kennedy Airport look like in 1965Fool, and this your pic of JFK appears more modern than the newest termminal? You must be high on weed. Imagine how you are evaporating hot air over such a wonderful architectural masterpiece that the new GAT represents. You may have gone to moon and mars to behold more splendid airports but we are happy to see the first of this kind on our land. I repeat. if your foolish paymasters and predecessor presidents gave us a terminal this good, we won't be discussing about this one by now. You are such a shameless looser who feels overwhelmed by president Goodluck Jonathan's strides in the aviation industry in just one year in office. This new terminal is replicated in other places. You need to see the Benin, Yola, Enugu terminals and that of Abuja. it is fresh all the way. |
chucky234: Hmmm still below the worst airport in France, they spent billions to give us substandard structures in 2012.In 1998, your JFK had these kind of tiles and marbles? Stop hating. If you see a good thing, appreciate it. This government has done well to provide this infrastructure in less than two years and must be commended accordingly. If their predecessors gave us these ones, we wouldn't have been complaining. |
Haters will avoid this thread like a plague. They will rather prefer to go to other threads and lambast the govt for not doing anything at all. Witches and wizards |
Gbawe: That is why I keep emphasizing that we must get our choice of President right. It is only the right President that can introduce the concept of leaders accepting responsibility for malfeasance/misrule or action abetting corruption that happened directly under their watch. The reason for the unnecessarily high payments was the increase in the cost of petrol in the international market, pls get your facts right, and by the way when you say it was under her direct watch that these fraudulent payments were made in NNPC you forget that she is just the head of the board of NNPC,there is a GMD who actually runs things there and if I recall correctly Austin Oniwon lost his job over that saga and the executive secretary of PPPRA also lost his job and was replaced with Reginald Stanley, the same also applied to PPMC,so since heads rolled in the different organizations that were directly responsible for this fraud why will you still be calling for the minister's resignation,if she is directly responsible for these things then you should be callig for the scrapping of these organizations instead, and something else when you say that she abrogated so much power to herself in the new PIB,what do you expect, that she should sell off our resources and their control to the outside world, don't you know that this is the age when resource producing countries try as much as possible to keep it on a tight leash,go to Venezuela,Saudi Arabia,Qatar and see how they control their resources, this woman cannot be there for more than the next three years or a little more,do not be biased in your reasoning. |
Zutchy: Can you just imagine how dormant this thread has gotten because it highlights the achievements of Govt,if it were to have been a thread on how Govt is inefficient you would have seen like 5 pages y now.....SMH......That is the more reason why those of us who are aware of the facilities the FG is putting in place for the citizenry should endeavour to enlighten others of these utilities because they are for us,and believe me when I say that most of those who criticize the Govt do so out of ignorance, and that is one of the major reasons why this Maku's good governance tour is a very welcome development,at least by the time they go round all the geopolitical zones nobody Will be able to honestly say that in one and a half years the FG has not done something,be it any sector of the economy you care to mention. |
Jonathan is fixing up power stations here and there. Apart fom reviving comatose NIPP power stations, he is building more power sub stations. We are about to witness a whole new era of power generation. The all time highest generation of 4,477 megawatts achieved in August appears to be greatly surpassed in due course. With the succesful privatisation of the DISCOS, things can only get better |
Stand up for outstanding leadership and good governance. |
1forall: Only in a sick country like Nigeria would you have a 'good governance' team, is governance supposed to be bad?You ended up bad mouthing without making any sense. Your bad belle for this administration is far too obvious. You have been gloating like a parrot saying this government has not done anything since it was elected in 2011. Here we are. The minister of information has decided to respond to your baseless criticisms with a tour of ongoing and completed projects embarked upon by this administration since last year. What again do you want to hear or see? Since Maku has been telling you about these projects on NTA, you have been doubting it. But today, he has gone the extra mile to show you these projects and yet you are not happy. The road you refer to as an apology is a state road embarked upon by Jang to to link jos North and South through airport road as reported in the story. It's no mean feat relative to a state govt with little resources at its disposal. Whether during Shagari, Abacha, or Obj, there's no way this level of security presence wouldn't have been mounted for the visit of Ministers from Abuja. So your attempt to make an issue out of it is untenable. Stop hating. If you must hate. Hate with facts. |
Zutchy: Diva tosin, you have spoken well, you must be a very brilliant lady,I believe the aim of this tour is to enlighten the public on governments works around them, both state and Federal. But this tour is making me realize the fact that our state governors are not getting the heat they deserve,if every state governor were to embark on projects that reflects on the living standard of their people, you will get to realize that we do not necessarily have to call the FG for everything, nice one Maku. The projects are not only that of the Fg. Some are for the state government. Read the op very well. The dams and roads were built by Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau state. The man is really performing. He is doing so much inspite of the insecurity challenge. That is essence of the tour from what Maku said. It is to showcase achievements of govts at all levels. |
I trust Falana. He will talk sense into those big heads. |
Where is DEMDEM? Where is GBAWE? Where is miss KOBOJUNKIE and all other defeated A.C.N supporters. Its a shame that after all the noise and hype, A.C.N came a distant third. After wasting Lagos taxpayers money, Aketi shamelessly came third behind PDP. It is regrettable that after the godfather came to ONDO, the people vehemently voted against A.C.N. Its so disastrous that the poor showing by Aketi and A.C.N has rendered Salami helpless. Salami could have come to the rescue,if A.C.N had managed a second position. Too bad. I love GEJ. He is too much. The president has ushered in a new era of fresh air into our political space. No more rigging. No army intimidation of voters. No more INEC manipulation. No more manipulation of the process. No more instructions to police to work for PDP. No more calls for REC to come to Abuja before declaration of results. No more need for tribunals. No more godfathers. Just FRESH AIR |
I said it. This Tinubu guy is a criminal. He's the worst criminal in Nigeria. I rather embrace PDP than those bunch of crooks in that criminal alliance known as A.C.N. Chief Tinubu said he gave Mimiko millions of pounds during his tribunal struggle. Abeg what for? Because the last time I checked, lawyers in Nigeria don't charge that much. They can't tell me Mimiko used millions of pounds as legal fees. so what was the money actually deployed to? Bribing judges of course. Events of the last few days have actually proved Segun ONI of PDP right in his petition against Ayo Salami. Justice Ayo Salami was really bribed by Tinubu to dislodge PDP governors in the South West. So unfortunate and bad of a court of Appeal judge. |
This is just the beginning, we must get to the root of these matter and see who is corrupt, these members jus feel they can jones us. Bunch of hypocrites, thinking they are smart. |
The assembly is just being childish and egocentric about the whole issue. If they like it or not they would pass the budget, all these moves na IGG. It is never going to pay them, they want the presidency to hand them ghana must go bags, which I don't see GEJ doing any time soon. |
It's a gradual process, I see this government taking us to a better Nigeria.keep the good work going GEJ |
I will be very glad if this subsidy is finally removed. I understand it is stalling development of the oil sector and causing serious hardship on Nigerians. Even with the subsidy thing, some areas still buy fuel as much as 140 a liter. So what's the difference? It's better we remove it and reap from the benefits of deregulation that it has to offer rather than keep postponing doomsday. |
This is a president, that know his job and how to do it. |
Sahara liers are really doing what they know how to do best........lie lie |
Dey don dey run mouth again. Sahara reporters are their lies....I can never be surprised |
This is the first time in the history of this country when budget is coming this early. This is the first time in the history of this country when a budget is presented with an account of performance of the previous budget in key areas. The entire NASS were impressed and clapped thunderously to the key performances on critical areas like power and NIPP power stations. Railway rehabilitation involving Itakpe-Warri, Lagos-Kano, Abuja metropolitan railway co. Inland waterways in Onitsha and ports sanitisazation, reconstruction of 11 existing terminals and award for construction of 5 new major airports innLagos, Kano, Port HarvourtAbuja and Enugu. The ongoing construction of Benin-Ore, Kano-Maidugri, Abuja-Lokoja. The president also hinted of the proposed award for rehabilitation of Enugu-PORTHARCOURT expressway The president gave details of how he is going to consolidate on these achievements with a reduction in recurrent expenditure. So many incentives for growth of local industries with zero percent duties on so many imports |
Demdem: Funny chap. if till date we still have peeps aligning with the likes of Ibori and even Bode "tewonde" George etc, it shouldnt be difficult getting those that will allign with a well-known liar on NL. U are on a long thing bros. The bolded just confirms why you shamelessly stick with your colleague scammer -Sahara Reporters. |
He is unrepentrant cause he is telling you the truth, if you like the condition of abia then you are the confused one. |
Abeg help me tell this dude. dedeike: Senior Advocate to SAHARA SHOPRITE OF LIES, |
finally, SAHARA don go price market. They have been lying all along but it appears this one is going to hook them on the neck. I have been wondering how they manage to manipulate half truths and package it for sale. It's too much. Everyday they keep deceiving people with news emanating from unconfirmed sources. SAHARAREPORTERS never gets to disclose the source of their information or quote real existing humans. The deception is too much. |
I respect Ankio Briggs but she was not properly briefed on this one. The committee was formed as a fund raising committee. That is even the more reason why those moneybags were co opted to assist in raising money for the project. This natural disaster of flooding is more serious than we think. It is really a big threat to us all. I saw the picture where the minister of Aviation paddled a canoe into her residence in the village. Very serious. It deserves that level of attention that the president accorded it this morning with a broadcast. We must mitigate and prevent this disaster collectively. |
ngooka: The president speech was a welcome and sign that he is following up with happenings in the country, its now left for the affected state to follow up and see the money get to themthat is the part am really concerned about, I hope the funds serve its purpose and not get into someones pocket. |
The speech was on point, cause the flood issue needed to be addressed, and for those appointed to be in the committee are well deserved. We need to overcome this flood issue once and for all. And for those who don't like the action taken by Mr President, you can go jump into one of the flooded areas and you can tell the rest |
There is need to give due attention to this flooding issue just the way a US President will do to hurricane Katrina. It's a natural disaster and emphasis needs to be placed in tackling it. The essence of this broadcast is to place it on the front burner so that the citizenry will acknowledge that our government is responsive to this national challenge. If he fails to do so, many will still come on Nairaland to accuse the president of being insensitive to the plight of the people. |
