kj_hova: @Bukkyade I am quite sure you are aware of the so many "indictments" since our new found democracy. From 1999 till date, we have indicted state governors, CEOs, business entities, all sorts; hell, we even indicted a sitting Vice President!! The courts always throw such cases out as indictment is "guilty before proven innocent". The act of indicting is such that should be a logical outcome of proper investigations. Not the other way round.

BTW, any investigation which indicts fuel importers yet somehow manage to exempt government officials in PPPRA, DPR, NNPC, CBN, MoF, DMO, NPA etc is a fraud ab initio. This govt is only pulling wool over the eyes of the uninformed.

kj_hova: Has an agency of govt (say EFCC or police) conducted proper investigations? Do we have conclusive evidence at hand? Has our Attorney General or any other public prosecutor charged anyone to court? Has their been a complete prosecution? Has anyone gone to jail?

Indictment is a loose English word that has been unleashed on us many times by the powers that be. Think straight posters, have you ever witnessed prosecution & jail terms after these indictments?

GEJ, Allison-Madueke et al are the biggest culprits in the subsidy scam. They all knew how much they will loot once they have gained substantive power. To that end, they were willing to loot all coffers (ECA et al) and and carry out any scam at all to 'win' the Presidency. I.e the ultimate tool of wanton looting and partisan disbursal of Nigeria's wealth. Anyone who thinks this Government is not inextricably linked with the subsidy scam simply needs to go around with the words "world's biggest fool" on their forehead for the next two years.

Inspite of all the criticism, teaching hospitals and federal medical centres remain the number one destination for health care delivery for a vast majority of Nigerians.
You must also have passed through our unity schools or graduated from any of our federal or state universities which is the most subsidized in the world. Make you take time to ask your friends schooling abroad, how much they pay as school fees. You use our airports including MMAI which is ranked top 10. You ply some good roads in Nigeria without paying taxes or tolls.

Govt subsidizes your electricity bills so that you can pay as low as N7.00 per Kwh. Google electricity tariffs in Uk or other advanced countries and see what Nigerian govts subsidies for you.
If you re from Niger Delta, you collect bursary from your state govts. While you grew up, your only window to knowledge and the world may have been NTA. Recall the educative programmes like sesame street, kiddies vision 101, tales by the moonlight. Is NTA a private Ghanian company?

If your goal is to rejoice that that power supply has improved(a la increase in power rations to your area at this time) in your tiny are of your state, go right ahead and do just that. However, when you want to speak of Power at the National level, at least visit the facts rather than come off sounding like another of the many empty-brains out there who feels that as long as they have electricity in their home, all is well in NIGERIA.
It would benefit us as a whole if we outgrew this selfish way of analyzing issues and situations.

It is just recently I began to see able bodied hausa - fulani doing 'going' or 'okada' they sell carrots, kolanut, tea, suya, etc. I have not seen (I might be wrong) a carpenter or mechanic, mason etc among them.
