Romance › Re: When The Singlehood Of A Man Becomes A Disease by CalmElder(m): 8:22pm On Jan 28, 2021 |
jieta: The "see finish", is one part that has really put me into emotional trauma, i can't lie have not recover fully.
There is this girl that i met where i wanted to buy sand for my project. I took her digit, so we have been communicating for close to six months, i really like her and i base in the north my intention was when i come back to the south i will propose to her and organise a little introduction , and see if she can join me.
So when i got to the south i invited her to come my place after i have visited her even meet her mom in her place. O boy the Next morning i called her to come to my place the words I heard was I nor dey fear any body me nor dey fear anybody oo.
Then after, she say she will still come because we already agree that she will come by 10 from that ten i waited till one before the idiot came. I've already lost hope of her coming before i saw her call, so i called my kid brother to pick her up, on getting back to the house because i went to the bank to do some transactions i meet her in our family house.
After a little exchange of pleasantries, i propose to her i told her about how I wish to take her to the north then after completing my house we will come back, the next thing that came out of her mouth is that I don't know how to talk. She said that is how there marry her sister to Benin, people that married her could not take care of her and she started using rubber thread to do her hair. Then she started shouting that "if you marry woman make you dey listen to the woman " continuously then i ask her to retract the statement and the fool did then i ask her how she feels.
She was just shouting anyhow, and to think that some of our tenant was outside even my two kid brothers were hearing our conversations. Although i'm married now getting to a year i still think about that scenario and I feel depressed and get angry.
The point that made me share this story is that i was ready to take anything as a wife because the pressure from my mum and most especially my dad was just too much. I feel for you, bro. As long as we are alive, we will keep finding ourselves in situations we don't want. People will hurt, disappoint, reject, abandon, humiliate and embarrass you. How you react is of more importance than whatever happened. You are yet to forgive yourself for putting yourself in that situation. I will advice you to focus on your healing by reflecting on the issue from a humorous angle and laugh it off. If you start finding it funny, share it with your confidants and enjoy a good laugh with them. That you dated a psycho is enough reason to laugh about it. I hope you are not the too serious type sha.. |

zoputa: Every man should marry ooh! Those who say they dont want to marry should know this about singlehood.
There are points were a man being single becomes a disease.
(1) When a man is 40 and above and still single. (2) When a man is single at 40 and above and still looking for little girls to sleep with. (3) When a man is single at 40 and above and still shouting "hoes aint loyal". (4) When a man is single at 40 and above and still bouncing like a nigga. (5) When a man is singe at 40 and above and still shouting "I want to remain single". (6) When a man is single at 40 and above and still arguing about girls in Nairaland. (7) When a man is single at 40 and above and is still saying "crying like a simp"
Do and go and marry....Stop forming hardness..... I'm 42 years old and very single. On my 30th birthday, I woke up depressed that I'm still single. Because I was desperate to marry before 30, which I thought is old, I became desperate and women showed me shege, used my head like mad. I learnt my lesson and calmed down, gave myself time, then started another relationship at 34, ashawo better pass that one (she was 38). I ended the relationship at 36. I'm now focused on growing my business. I intend to marry at 44. If I like, I will not marry sef. |
Family › Re: Is It Compulsory For A Woman To Be A Good Cook? by CalmElder(m): 5:57pm On Jan 26, 2021 |
Mynd44: No. You can be good elsewhere, the idea that women must be good in the kitchen only propagate the wrong Idea that they belong there. It also creates a situation where the man is okay not making food because he believes it is the job of the woman. Making food is an art and some people just don't have it.
Although, I believe every human(male or female) should possess the basic skill to make their own food. The food might not be tasteful but they should be able to whip up something so theu shouldn't starve even if they can afford to buy. Atleast sabi cook noodles. Chief. It's COMPULSORY for a woman to be a good cook. Men should learn to cook too, but the task of cooking is primarily a woman's role. If both are busy, the guy should be understanding enough to know when to assist or take over. If she's sick, the guy cooks and take care of her, after recovery, she takes over. If both are less busy, it is the DUTY of the woman to humbly take herself to the kitchen, while it's the husband's duty to provide for the family. Shikena! |

alasane: Me from Middle Belt "WILL NEVER, EVER " be with the Igbos no matter the unpleasant experience i will have from the core North.....how many prominent middle belters had their education, business, home or investment in the EAST? They are tribalist, bigot, greed and selfish I didn't say East. I said South, of which East is only a part. Southern Nigeria is half of Nigeria. Are you aware that Benue state is geographically South and not North? |

alasane: Middle Belt joining South …..your are really hallucinating Hallu what? He's right, the north is selfish. An example that the middle belt is no longer pro north can be heard in Orkar's speech in 1990, even his fellow actors never expected it. What's your evidence that middle belt won't follow the South? |
Politics › Re: Jonathan, Jega, Nwodo Express Divergent Views On Restructuring Nigeria by CalmElder(m): 10:51am On Jan 22, 2021 |
Restructuring is the way to go, Mr Jega. Minorities will taste power if power is rotated. Oga Jona, your talk on mind restructuring can only be achieved if our educational system is very very sound, cos, as long as there are semi educated people in influential positions, nepotism will still be the order. You don't expect people to wake one morning and restructure their mind as one, at once, together, like in the twinkling of an eye, do you? Be realistic for once. Nwodo is right. |
