Image123:If I call you double minded man now, you go begin shock like 'agbalumo'. I even predicted you'll soon change position and you fulfilled my prophecy in less than 30mins. |
Image123:Taa.... go sidon for corner jare. If you don't comprehend easily, why you no go talk make I help you out? |
Image123:Thank God the truth in my post which you quoted is your position. However, knowing you, I trust you to obfuscate the issues very soon you no dey carry last for that kind assignment.#But the last line shock me like agbalumo, Hahahaha. i remember when i said i wasn't interested in talking tithe and this same fellow was on my case as if it was his prerequisite to salvation. Time and chance. If only you this fellow had been mature enough to read through the post I responded to that necessitated that last line you claimed shocked you like 'agbalumo', there wouldn't have been any need to rush to type what you did. See the post I responded to Gombs:I hope you saw the bolded? Hope you know what the word in blue connotes? That necessisated me to write the below Candour: On the tithe issue, na you mention am. I'm not interested in talking about the almighty 10% hereNow what else don't you understand? Did you need me to put the word in italics before you understand? Can you show me any instance where you told me you were not interested in the tithe discussion and you stuck to it? I've advised you before: when adults make a resolve, they stick to it. Stop blaming me for your inability to be true and firm to your resolve. The bible warned about double minded men, try not to be unstable in all your ways. When I make a resolve, I stick to it. I wasn't interested in discussing tithe with Gombs when i quoted him. Its as simple as that. Try and get to that level, fellow. |
Whenever I come across a TAN advert or jingle, I simply smh with the realisation that we've been here before. It also tells me unequivocally that most Nigerians never change and most likely will never change. Its a sad reality. |
Till date, I still find myself wishing Duke emerged VP in 2007 instead of GEJ. OP, you can only dream. The power brokers and seekers in APC will not even give Fashola a chance...never mind Duke who isn't even a party member. Its the country's loss actually that we're are to choose one from the trio of GEJ, Atiku and GMB(age is what I have against Buhari). Its really unfortunate. |
nuwell:Very well written. God bless you |
God bless you PastorOluT for this message. |
Gombs:@the bolded. You and others always insinuate and tag those who disagree with the so-called 'prosperity' gospel as suffering from poverty so if you're retracting that notion now, I'll note it for possible reference in future. No one I know preaches against prosperity or called prosperity a sin. If anyone preaches that, they are wrong. Some are so lucky and fortunate that without thinking of prosperity or applying any fanciful principle, they land in it. Its the doing of God and apart from knowledge; hard work, smart work, diligence, tenacity etc also can make a man succeed according to the bible. Also living in this fallen world can make a man face unforseen circumstances that affect his lot in life despite his well laid out plans hence Solomon said the below Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. If God blessed you with goodies, be grateful. He is the God that also favours atheists, satanists etc with the good things of life like health, wealth etc. Jesus even attested to this in the below Matthew 5:45 KJV That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. This is why we as Christians who have been favoured with the good things of life should endeavour to be blessings to those we come across as we journey through life. On the tithe issue, na you mention am. I'm not interested in talking about the almighty 10%. |
Gombs:My friend Gombs, how u dey? Come o, the way you talk about this 'prosperity' and 'poverty' things, you make it sound and look like everybody in CEC and other like minded organisations are swimming in mega wealth while all those against your beliefs are grinding in abject poverty. With all sense of honesty, can you confidently say you have no needy person in your assembly? Why tag everyone against the fraud in Christianity as poor? |
Hmmm..... It wasn't easy. Its never easy for me teaching someone I love how to drive. It was difficult with my younger siblings and it was doubly difficult with my darling wife because of love. You just feel so frustrated when she doesn't get those 'simple' things (that you yourself didn't get that easily when you were in her shoes o ). I will scream at her, throw my hands up in frustration and one day, I shouted her into ramming into one car at an intersection .I just started laughing at myself at that point when I thought of the money way go comot my pocket for repairs She eventually perfected it when she got her own car though not after brushing my own car some few times sha ![]() My advice: let her go to a driving school to get the basics then you can do the finishing touch to avoid BP issues |
Which way Nigeria - Sunny okosuns Less than 35 year but one of the most thought provoking songs a Nigerian has ever composed in my opinion |
Gombs: Fellas gotta go now, reports for the 3rd quarter aint gonna prepare themselves, I'd need 2hours break, further questions and opinions can be dropped here. Thanks, would attend to them whenever I'm back. Can you imagine There goes my confidence of being in ghost mode and couldn't be seen ![]() I'm fine by the way and the family is doing great too. Trust you're good? Meanwhile, focus on the trial balance properly o. We don't want to hear of another bank crash because of faulty balance sheet reportage. My friend Gombs the lawyer ![]() Cheers |
Gombs:You're welcome friend. Anything legal for you ![]() |
Gombs: Bobo, Hahahahahah, I never said I wanted to deny anything o, Hahahahahah, I wanted you guys to see why a media report for returning the generator is laughable. SimplesI know the job of defending your master is making you lose your marbles hence you can go to the extent of denying the very obvious. Why not go ahead and deny Lawrence agada was a cec member when he stole from his employers and spent part of the loot on your church? After all you're yet to see a report on it? Also, certifiable has two definitions. It can mean real or genuine. I'll claim this one as I've been keeping it real despite your desperate attempts at cover up. It can also mean crazy or insane which describes what you've become since the news broke that you have been following a lie for so long. There's no report of a generator return because it never happened. If it did, you would have opened a thread for it after all what did it cost you to open all the threads you've opened so far on your job of defending your man? |
Gombs: Hahahahahah, Andrew Segawa a Blogger is the Blogger you put as reputable source? A failed Blogger from Uganda, only second to Drummaboy?Really?? What about this? http://www.nigeriafilms.com/news/6751/21/chris-oyakhilome-pastor-of-christ-embassys-busines.html Is it that you just feel a compulsion to deny everything your pastor is involved in? Was mbaemeka also talking baloney when he said the below? mbaemeka: Lawrence Agada didn't give the 39 Million they said he took to church o. He bought a generator for the Satellite church he worshiped in and gave normal offerings like any other member would. When he was found out by Sheraton and it was certain they would not be able to recoup all the money (as he used some for his personal needs) they asked him to say he sowed all the money to church so the church would be forced to pay it. At one point sef, they almost claimed the money went to Pastor Chris himself.Thank God he's honest enough not to deny a theft by an official of CEC occurred and part of the proceeds was put into your church. If that first quote was an error, see him talk about it again mbaemeka: How much was the offering? So if he says he gave 50 million the church would then raise 50 Million even if they didn't have such amount at the time?If you claim the blogger lied and manufactured the report, then you must admit mbaemeka was hallucinating when he admitted Lawrence agada, a thief donated some of his loot to CEC essentially corroborating what the guy you called a failed blogger wrote. Now that's something I'm sure you wouldn't want to say? So my friend, its either you're lying you never heard or saw a report about this or you could be forgiven for being too young to know what was happening in the media 12 years ago |
Gombs: To the best of my knowledge is now far better than according to proven facts.Gombs, all your 'works of charity' are in the open. You and CEC never shy away from giving publicity to things like that. Even your acts of sharing your ROR is seen as works of charity and you give it enough publicity. You've already opened a thread to showcase it on NL even as we speak. There's a simple reason why there's no news report of the generator return: it never happened. The incident happened 12 years ago when Nigerian newspapers were still basically hard copies but here's a link that has snippets of the report http://www.redgage.com/blogs/andrewsegawa/when-the-prosperity-gospel-back-fired.html I even wonder if Lawrence agada still worships with CEC? Gbenga the bank manager who stole 40m and gave 10m to CEC in 2003 too is another story. |
Gombs: Hahahahahah, when pastor chris said he didn't commit adultery, and the media took it, what was your first response?Has the negative responses and doubts of the general public stopped you guys from publicising your 'miracles'? Of course not. Has the refusal of the public to believe your pastor over his wife stopped his supporters from writing supportive articles or you from wanting a wider audience on front page for the article expressing support for him in the thread below? https://www.nairaland.com/1895201/coat-many-colours-reasons-why-news Even though the medium is a part of your media arm? Of course not. Has the opposition you've encountered on NL in your attempts at damage control stopped you and other from continuing to mount desperate defence of your leader? Of course not because you'll still open another thread soon. So why will not a single newspaper, not even the ones sympathetic to you or owned by cec group forget or refuse to tell the world the generator was returned if indeed it was? (Mind you, the story is even of 2generators donated by agada) You guys publicise everything 'good' and 'honourable' about yourselves so its very unbelievable that you would do a good gesture of returning stolen items given to you and not let the world know. In fact, see a summary of the seeds down by agada in cec. ...An instance many would not easily forget in a hurry is the case of Lawrence Agada, a senior cashier with Sheraton Hotels and Towers, Ikeja, Lagos, and an assistant pastor of the Ifako branch of the church, who donated stolen cash and gifts totalling N39 million to the church in the name of sowing a seed. The fraud was discovered in March 2002. According to police investigations, Agada’s donations were in instalments. He bought 250KVA and 27KVA generators valued at N4.4 million and N1.5 million, respectively and donated them to the church headquarters and the Ifako satellite parish of the church. Before then, he had given out six million Naira for the renovation of the local satellite church and one million Naira for the purchase of plastic chairs for the church headquarters. He also contributed N1.5 million for the 2002 edition of the church mega crusade Night of Bliss, and one million Naira for another crusade tagged Prosperity Convention. How much did the church return of these monies? How about that of the bank official? In 2003, Gbenga Kehinde, another member of the church who was an assistant manager with Eko International Bank, further dragged the name of the church in the mud when he defrauded the bank of N40 million out of which he donated N10 million to Christ Embassy.Did the church also return this clearly stolen money donated to it and refused to publicise it despite the bad publicity it generated? The source of these info is http://www.nigeriafilms.com/news/6751/21/chris-oyakhilome-pastor-of-christ-embassys-busines.html And I take it as being more credible than your cec owned http://nationaldailyng.com/editorial/guest-columnist/906-the-coat-of-many-colours which is trying to defend your pastor. |
Image123: i'm male brother.congrats brother |
Image123: @nanny@bolded, you're very right. however what is noteworthy is the fact that Paul didn't encourage the fans club. he rebuked them because it was against the christian spirit. God was meant to be the sole focus. overall, i agree with you that its an interesting article. |
Image123: Hope you're not referring to the scoan building collapse and the Can president's scandal as accusation? Those are not accusations oh, they are truths that are definitely out. The building did collapse, there was indeed dollars and real human beings on Can president's plane. The pit of hell is innocent in this matter.hmmmm.......... |
BabaGnoni: #1 is "Members Of Church Of Satan Meets Here"Thanks BabaGnoni for taking the pains to show this. I just made a wild assumption and I said as much in my post. I'm glad a lot of folks got the opportunity to go behind the scenes through SirJohn's eyes and efforts to see what really happens at that citadel of falsehood. All those who went through this thread would at least know that they've been warned against the leprosy like the child in the proverb I put up earlier. If heaven rejoices over one sinner that repents, why will a mortal like me not celebrate even if Kenyan28 is the only person freed from the clutches of deceitful 'miracle' peddlers? |
Gombs: aha! thanks buddy... Nannymcphee and other's now can read this link too. Seun, we need thumps up smiley. You're welcome. Maybe it will finally get FP because I brought it up as the plea from your camp wasn't enough to sway the mods. |
Gombs: sahara reporters are not reliable folks, over the years they incredibly outdid drummaboy aka WinsomeX, Goshen and Candour in dishonesty, a feat that is superbly legendary on NL. (Gombs, 2014)In your desperation, you forgot that wasn't a news report. Its an opinion expressed by somebody which could have been published anywhere. Nannymcphee could have posted it without a link and it still wouldn't affect its timeliness or appropriateness for the simple fact that its an opinion just like the childish nonsense you call a defence put up by you on the thread below https://www.nairaland.com/1895201/coat-many-colours-reasons-why-news Also on the dishonesty accusation, I'll need more than one lifetime to catch up with you and your mentors on that attribute. |
nuwell: The formatting is just fine, dear. Some things are just too hard apparently to be accepted by some of our brethren at the moment though, understandably.Very true words bro. God bless you |
Gombs: And this one is good for business? Its obviously very bad for your organisations business hence your desperation. For folks to hear from the horses mouth...simple (oya call pastor Chris a horse)They truly heard and it wasn't palatable. Infact it was so bad that you had to run away from a thread you authored. your opinion buddy, you're entitled to oneNot just my opinion. Its the truth, so real you had to abandon the thread you opened yourself. ever heard of the noun 'idiom', quit sounding like a pervertIts amusing that out of all the idioms available for your use, you chose one making reference to things hidden under a mini skirt. It shows the world what you meditate on in your closet. You are the pervert my dear and you need serious help. Am not. If I were, I would not be acting as you are. I asked for an interview, guess which folks had a migraine because of it?Count how many posts you've put up on this issue since this thread resurfaced, then come back and tell me you're not worked up and desperate. evil prevails if good men keep silentThis is exactly why the OP opened this thread. Has tithing debates for example stopped folks from tithing? If you think your campaign here has any reasonable impact, then you are of all men most miserable"You can't ask a child not to contact leprosy if its his wish but at least be honest and compassionate enough to tell him lepers live alone in the bush" says a Yoruba proverb. The beauty of those discussions is that we got folks bold enough yo start talking and thinking about a previously no go area of fraudulent 'church' practice. Just like this thread is now doing. |
Gombs: Someone is actually and obviously pained...Story Is there a law that says you must respond to every mention? If its unimportant, you ignore. That's what serious people do |
LambanoPeace: A lady actually, and it's funny your pained butt didn't doubt or attack the stats Gombs gave, for you know they were true, but rather than admit you picked the silliest route to attack an idiom.Pained?? Not at all. This thread was meant to show folks another angle of the 'healing school' to provoke thoughts and with 135,000 views, it did that. Also the thread gombs opened about your G.O's marital problems also achieved its aim: it spread the dirty wide enough for the world to see. Truly his stats were spot on. Keep following him young girl. With the vastness of English language, its only the one pertaining to mini shirts that your torch bearer could think of. Shows what he spends his time thinking about. If you truly believe his statistics, you wouldn't be here trying to make any case. Once again, try and be more than an echo machine. |
LambanoPeace: You sound pained, that was a classic saying by Gombs, it should be archived. Ever hear of the word idiom? You are only an echo machine my young man with no ideas of your own. You have nothing to discuss. I'll advice you wait for your mentors to speak then you can carry on your job of echoing, laughing and posting pictures to amplify whatever they say as you always do. If anybody is pained, its those who say these discussions mean nothing yet refuse to ignore the thread. |
Gombs: Buddy, remember of these 135,000 views, 42-54% were made by the main discussants, that is, 56,700 views were made by a collective handful of us, the remaining 78,300 were however a good view, made in a space of 6years!My dear, that your thread you cited was bad business for whatever your intentions of opening it was. You only helped to spread very unsavoury news about one man's problem with his wife. I congratulate you on that. Also what has mini skirts got to do with your defence? My friend, go and marry and stop wondering whenever you see a mini skirt. ![]() Finally, if nothing you discuss here changes anything, why are you worked up? Why do you feel a compulsion to engage those with contrary opinions? Could it be that you don't even believe what you wrote about discussions here not changing anything? If I were you, I wouldn't waste time my time like that. |
Gombs: only if you know the mails i have received too... i think folks need to know the real truth, you might have convinced some... but not muchHmmm....since this is the era of receiving mails, I dare say I too have received 'countless' mails...............from those who swear you didn't receive any mail now that was a joke ![]() SirJohn, on a serious note, this your thread must be one of the busiest in terms of views. 2130 posts over 66 pages and it has grossed almost 135,000 views!!!. I would assume its one of the most viewed threads on NL. Means it generated quite a lot of interest. A lot of folks read but didn't comment. Probably it caused some introspection and meditation which is exactly what I'm always happy to see and hear: people thinking about issues like this. Thank God for his mercies and God bless and keep Kenyan28 in good health and peace. Amen |

you no dey carry last for that kind assignment.

.I just started laughing at myself at that point when I thought of the money way go comot my pocket for repairs
There goes my confidence of being in ghost mode and couldn't be seen
