Will Abia state go from one Orji to another just like that? Na so so only Orji full Abia state? |
“ There is nothing like consensus presidential candidate. That will be a short cut which they know cannot be possible through a primary if all the aspirants file out on the field. Nobody should think of getting the ticket through the back door. “Don’t forget, Asiwaju Tinubu deliberately said that he has the capacity. So, I believe that is the number one requirement for anybody that wants to contest the election.” I laugh some people. How can they now avoid it. It is clear to us all now that APC is a branch of PDP. They watch what transpired in the head office(PDP) and then replicate in APC. Now they are waiting to see what PDP does about their presidential candidate before proceeding. PDP will not zone to SW make it automatic that APC will not zone to SW. Wike has declared his intention. Amaechi is on the waiting list to counter. Atiku has declared, APC has their candidate from the north. How SWAGA thinks APC will hand over to BAT makes one laugh and laugh and laugh. Their permutations are getting scattered daily. |
luizpippo:My brother you no tire? Now APC leadership largely comprises of PDP members. How hypocritical these people can be is fearsome. So when they say PDP party of looters, what will they say about APC? One man is accused of holding Lagos state by the jugular. APC has several high ranking members with cases of looting billions from their states and FG. Shamelessly the otimkpus call PDP a party of looters. How has APC done better in eight years? The country goes deeper into poverty daily and yet their bewitched followers rejoice in their hardship and suffering. Abeg leave them for where dem dey. Jagbajantis intete. |
alsudan:You got it too. However I think PDP’s candidate must be a totally committed party man. Those who ran away and came back when they saw that the party that they sought to destroy still remains, should simply sit back and watch. The courts are helping to reset some of those greedy moves by sitting governors and members of the various assemblies who think they can get the ticket of one party and then decamp to other parties after elections. Hopefully INEC will without delay do the needful and let the greedy politicians return to their homes, after refunding the sums received as salaries and benefits in the period of their illegality. It must not be Peter Obi. PDP has other strong party men too. |
Unreasonable people everywhere. Just a few days ago they called Biden "weak". Now he talks and takes actions and they say he intends to provoke Putin to a war. Putin has been threatening everyone in Europe and definitely needs his match. Hopefully he gets kicked out of power. |
McGg:Orji Uzor was in the PDP from '99 to 2007. He decamped from PDP and finally has rested with the APC. Alex Otti has moved round too and now is presently with APC. How is it that you expect APC led by the same Orji Uzor Kalu who has a case of embezzlement to secure the seat in 2023, if you have reasoned it properly? |
pepperdemzombie:Abeg use small sense. What was wrong in building a house in her husband's name if they had a loving and joyful relationship? What has it got to do with the amount of billionaires in the state? Also how are we sure of the lady's claim without listening to the other party? How are you sure it was not planned to elicit sympathy? |
By God’s grace, businesses will be opened tomorrow . |
Hndrrxxx:Do not be myopic. Look at the larger picture. |
LordviccoDaGuru:Olodo. No comprehension, no good English and yet you castigate the Igbos. Shay, shay, shay, shay, shame. |
Babapyro:“arguably the most powerful military in the world”. Yet they fail in the most basic military manouvres in Ukraine. |

Innovation with souvenirs gone very wrong. |
princeeze1:Did you understand my question at all? My question was on the basis of your comment. My questions are: 1. What is Mariupol getting liberated from? 2. What is getting mopped up? |
SIONKPO1:An eagle is an animal ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Chai!!! So fly automatically do be bird na bros? Just asking. |
princeeze1:“Secondly, the notorious nazi Azov battalion has been technically eliminated from their strong hold of mauripol, the city is currently undergoing liberation and mop up”. Liberation from what? Mop up what please? |
Thank you very much. |
Very sad. One of the greatest Generals. |
mach7:Let’s go it gently with decorum for clarity. Putin in his speech used the word “invasion”. When you invade (in this case another sovereign country), use military weapons, use military aircrafts, use armored tanks, use chemical weapons, threaten with thermonuclear, threaten other nations who interfere, destroy military equipments, communities and properties, shoot to kill and get shot at, does it remain an invasion in its true sense? Where is the falsehood when the Russians have lost so much on their side, just like the country “invaded”? Please note that what has come to be termed as the Russo-Ukrainian War, which presently rages between Russia (together with pro-Russian separatist forces) against Ukraine began in February 2014, following the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity. This war initially focused on the status of Crimea and parts of the Donbas, internationally recognised by other nations as part of Ukraine. In the period of this war Russia announced the annexation of Crimea in 2014. The war in Donbas set off in 2014 between Ukraine and Russian-backed separatists. The Russian military built up men and equipment on the Russia–Ukraine border from late 2021. We were warned about an impending attack on Ukraine but the Russians kept denying it. The rest is what you see today called an invasion by Putin. Let’s look at his propaganda word “Nazification”. You must ask the question: who is a Nazi? A Nazi can only be a German. Nothing more, nothing less. A Nazi was regarded as a member of the National Socialist Party in Germany in the 1930s or 1940s. Can you denazify when there is no Nazi? NO. After WW2, there were attempts in the old USSR to find collaborators, but not to find Nazis per se. It is a propaganda word by Putin. Putin deliberately uses the word Nazism to stir up sentiments in Russia. Soviet Union helped the allied forces defeat the Nazis during WW2. There were more than 20 million casualties, and memory of the fighting still lives on in the region. So using a term like denazification resonates deeply with him domestically and for Putin, it is a very powerful propaganda instrument. Many Russians see Nazism as something the Germans brought from the West, which resulted in the horrific mass murder of many Soviet citizens, Jewish and non-Jewish. Mr. Putin has been using this tool for many years saying that anything that comes from the west is Nazi. Ask yourself, where then are the Nazis in Ukraine or even Russia. Have you asked why Russia is so determined in Mariupol? Afterall the language spoken there is Mariupol Greek. Where are the Nazis in Mariupol? None! Mariupol is very strategic to both countries in the war. Aside from the natural resources in Mariupol, Russia will secure a land corridor between Crimea and Donbas and Russia will control the whole of the coastline along the Sea of Azov and much of the Black Sea. In achieving this, Ukraine's maritime trade will be cut off. Please will you define this as an invasion or a complete war? Now if you say that Mariupol is part of Putin’s “strategic objectives”, has he achieved it. Remember that the Ukrainians are fighting to the death to keep this very significant part of their territory. Cheers. |
Simon Ekpa ko, Peter guguru ni. There must not be a continuation of acts of selfishness by certain individuals. It’s time for a new beginning in the SE with Prof Soludo. Ekpa can keep his thoughts to his own state and not Anambra state. Hopefully we move forward from Monday and make the SE to be more beautiful. |

mach7:Do you remember that In his DECLARATION OF WAR speech to the nation on February 24, Putin set out the objectives of his “special operation”. His objectives were to “strive for the demilitarisation and de-nazifification of Ukraine”. The Russian president spoke of creating “the necessary conditions … despite the presence of state borders, to strengthen us … as a whole”. Please from your analysis, tell us how Putin has been able to achieve any of the two objectives set above. Kindly tell us, going by his over-estimation of his conventional capabilities, how he has been able to achieve any of his original objectives. Cheers. |
ryloy:Please clap for yourself. |
Objective ko, objection ni. We heard plenty of lies and accusations from Putin before the needless and reckless invasion of a very peaceful sovereign nation. He has succeeded in sending Russia backwards economically. Once again I hope Russians are stirred up to revolt, enabling the generals remove him from power. |
“ Speaking in a chat with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Sagay said the president did the right thing by reinstating Buni, based on the booby traps set for the APC by INEC”. How? How? INEC goes by the Consitution. APC leaders and their lawyers know what the law says. They tried to subvert it and turned around to say INEC set a trap. No be only trap, na kpakute. |
Always talking without the smallest sense. |
When will politicians ever get it right in Nigeria? |
