“ The court waved aside the claim of the Defendants that they could not be regarded as valid members of the APC since they were yet to be issued their membership cards. While accusing both the lawmakers and the APC of attempting “to pull a wool in the eyes of the court”, Justice Taiwo stressed that evidence before the court established that they defected from the PDP and were well received by the APC. Moreover, the court noted that while the lawmakers claimed that they did not defect to the APC, however, in an affidavit they filed against the suit, they admitted that they exited the PDP owing to rancour in the party”. Imagine the wayo. All of a sudden they denounced their party, APC. When they were giving themselves assignments with brooms, sweeping Calabar, dem no remember say there is always a payday. On the other hand they claimed that PDP had issues. Una see say lie no dey help? |
Zamfara lawmakers go begin to re-decamp back to PDP with abeg. Na to tell PDP say “abeg Matawalle deceive us”. Former PDP Senators go begin “aligning and re-aligning” back to PDP with abeg. Matawalle go dey on him own. Chai. |
seunmsg:Chai. Hopefully you are being comic. How do you expect the seats to be held by them when it is clear in the law? Please explain. |
Very good. He wanted to humiliate Obiano. He must be humiliated too. |
Chai. That’s very good for our democracy. The courts must be used to strengthen and protect our democracy. Politicians take the electorate for granted. They get our votes for our preferred parties, get into positions and then switch over to suit their wishes. It must go round all the parties and states. Decamping for very flimsy reasons must be checked. Political parties must come up with ideologies that the electorate would choose and then vote for them on the basis of that. |
“ NAN reports that Ume had, on Wednesday, approached the court to withdraw the stay of execution motion filed on Umahi’s behalf due to a mistake in the application”. Mistake? Even at this point, his lawyers keep making mistakes. |
Highly dangerous mess. She know as her mess dey spoil things. If she try am everywhere scatter. Na so wey babes wey dey form dey do. I think say na only Nigeria babes dey form. So Oyibo babes dey form sef? By the way no be mess wey babes dey mess anyhow for restaurants, hotels, buses, everywhere for here so? |
thesicilian:“ By now Trump might have sent warplanes and special forces not to assist Ukraine, but to attack Russia directly”. And you think if Trump did that you would be writing by now? How you people are so lazy to do proper researches is mind boggling. Even when the researches are done for you and you have clear reports, I wonder how you cannot put the final pieces together. A Trump insider gave enough information on what transpired at his tenure, including leadership style of Trump and yet some look the other way. Chai. |
What has it got to do with APC or PDP? Are you trying to say that Obiano did not have plenty enemies within APGA. By the way can you count how many enemies he had among the town unions leaders in Anambra state? Or do you want to tell me that it is just APC and PDP that makes up the entire population of Anambra people in the state, outside the state and the rest of the world? Do you not know that petitions were also written against him by his fellow APGA members? Without doubt if he does not have any issue, the must be set free. After all other ex-governors who have cases against them by the EFCC go about the normal businesses as if nothing is wrong. |
georgeakins:Having never visited “their region”, how then did you come about your conclusion about touting in “their region”? |
just2endowed:Bros please think. You cannot have such an organization anywhere in this country and taxes are not paid. They may underpay their taxes, but they must pay taxes. |
oladipuposadeeq:Is Makinde a military governor? Ambode was not a military governor when he stated his plan against NURTW? It is unfortunate that certain persons who pretentiously want Nigeria to be better, support this agbero business, as that is their supply source of thugs for elections. Agbero is not confined to Lagos state alone. It is a nationwide problem, but more pronounced in some states. |
just2endowed:“ Point of correction.... Agbero doesn't generate any kobo to Lagos state revenue but…”. How does this sound please? NURTW pays taxes to Lagos state government. They make certain remittances daily to the local government areas where they operate. You can go and verify. Truthfully most of the amounts generated for into their private pockets. Do you not know that it cannot be possible without the collusion of certain persons in positions of power? Why did the state government support Oluomo in the recent crisis if not that certain persons benefit from their agbero business? Without remitting certain amounts as taxes, someday a governor in the like of Makinde will rise up and stop them from operating in Lagos. |
just2endowed:Sadly, No. We have been told that the agbero business generates over N123 billion into the account of Lagos state. The powers that be have chosen agbero money over the convenience of the citizens. That was one of the plans of Gov Ambode to introduce buses that would make Lagos look like a mega city, but the ogas rejected him and that plan was abandoned. The solution simply lies in Ambode’s idea. Government spends the billions to buy buses and hands them over to a private operator, abi? Ambode wanted the yellow colored bus owners to form partnerships, pull their resources together, use their buses as seeds to get modern buses from the state to operate in a more decent manner. This way fares would be harmonized, the roads would be cleaner, the environment would be cleaner, the citizens would have better experiences and NURTW, Lagos would be more responsible. |
Please this woman should just stop this self praising. “ For instance, I have commissioned many reasearches on the settlement”. She commissioned researches on the area and it remained a slum until Soludo brought attention to the place? Na wah for Nigerian politicians. She has been the Senator for several years and could not drag her state governor to look at the area. Some of these politicians try to make the citizens look stupid. Soludo went there and instantly knew there was a goldmine there. That’s what we find with visionaries. He promised to mobilize to Okpoko on his first day and acted on his promise. Suddenly this woman jumps into Soludo’s project and tries to convince the citizens that she had been doing her best. Abeg. Thankfully this governor knows the weight of expectation on his shoulders. He knows that his image is at stake. He knows that just like Peter Obi, looting the treasury of Anambra state is not allowed. He knows what professional politicians like Stella Oduah do to distract professionals in politics like him. As he comes up with his development ideas, expect politicians to say “na me first start am” or “na me first reach there”. Na me first without actual making it work should make the person bow his/her face in shame. Stell Oduah should simply be quiet and let the man transform that area, making it generate income for Anambra and its citizens. |
That’s the initial gra gra that we should expect from the touts. When Brig. Gen Buba Marwa banned the NURTW activities in Lagos as the governor, the touts reacted this way. Brig. Gen Marwa simply sent the then Operation Sweep for enforcement. When they started shooting the touts dead and arresting them at the bus stops, they all disappeared. They could not dare return until the administration of BAT. The result is what we see today with the likes of MC. Oluomo. Oshiomole chased them away too with the likes of Bob Izua, hiding themselves at a time. Gov. Soludo will find a solution to their stupid acts and deal with them effectively. |
kayo8080:What kind of joke was that, considering that there was an animosity caused by the same Mrs. Obiano going on between them? Even if we did not hear the conversation, everyone agreed that she used the word “ashawo”. Or do you want to say that you did not hear that very demeaning word? Between the two of them, who acted as an ashawo? Was that a joke that should not be taken seriously? Did you not hear that before the slap she was laying her hand on Mrs. Ojukwu, who then warned her to stop? Or having heard that she had the habit of slapping people, do you not know that it was possible that she could have slapped Mrs. Ojukwu first? Maybe if someone calls you offensive names while pressing you physically in annoyance, you can call it a joke. Mrs. Obiano definitely was not joking with Mrs. Ojukwu. Bros, reason small abeg. |
By the way why her for head be like wetin carpenter take hammer knack? |
LeoDeKing:How is it not supposed to be his business? He is a Nigerian and Zamfara state is one of the states in his country. What would have happened if the same vehicles were kept to protect this axis from incursion by bandits from Niger republic? Except you are from Niger republic, how did it sound to you that one of the poorest states in Nigeria and currently the most unsafe state to reside, donated security vehicles to a country? Nigeria is currently constructing railway to Niger and yet the country needs railway to traverse its own length and breathe. Government justified it by telling us how they would help trade in oil and others between Nigeria and Niger. How did that sound? The same government has failed to repair our refineries, not to talk of building new ones on the basis of their failed promises to get power. |
And when did Ohanaeze start supporting Umahi? Why should Wike be blamed? When people like Umahi and others having cowardly searched their consciences and found themselves guilty, decamped to APC for their survival, Wike remained with Fayose and others. Why blame them? Umahi diverted the attention of people from his real intention of trying to contest the presidency under APC. Rather than go straight to the point, he claimed that Wike had become an emperor in PDP. Umahi himself is today the emperor in Ebonyi state, dealing with his opposers in different wicked manners. Wike’s fellow governors and many moneybags have not been forthcoming with finance and a lot of them depend on him for finances. What do you expect? He who pays the piper dictates the tune. PDP gave Umahi all the opportunities he got politically and yet he paid back by abandoning the party out of selfishness. Wike has remained steadfastly over the years. Ohanaeze should bow their face in shame. They leave the substance and chase the shadow many times. |
KingOfAmebo:After firing the weapons to your joy, with a depleted economy, where will they get the funds to produce new ones? You think the trillions spend in manufacturing the weapons can be found in one day? |
udele1:Thank you for your analysis. Quickly go to nearest beer parlour around you and get some nwkobi and beer on my account. |
Nigerialabalaba:Pray for yourself like this: Power of poverty and jealousy over my life, let me go!!! |
Very unfortunate. It was a very long trip, lasting for days for someone with her condition. If only traveling by air would have been affordable to her. Very tragic. |
No time. Plenty of work to do. It’s up to the electorate to get such people into positions of power. All those professional politicians with “lifetime ambition” should let those professionals in politics without “lifetime ambition” get into positions of power for a better nation. |
Eye opener. Also a warning to those wives of political leaders and women in political positions. No one is too big to be taught such a lesson. Fighting among political leaders is not new. We have witnessed fights in the states and National Assemblies both in and outside Nigeria. Mrs. Obiano for me, thought that she already had victory over Mrs. Ojukwu, having played a part in stopping Mrs. Ojukwu from getting the senate ticket of APGA in 2019. Out of her delusion, she wanted to have a last go at Mrs. Ojukwu, but ended up ingloriously in getting the title of the only First Lady in Nigeria who received a slap on her hand over day. Mrs. Ojukwu has assumed the title of Ojiakanti eme ogo 1 in Nigeria. That means the one who uses slaps as gifts. Any such lady like governors wives and political office holders throw decorum to the winds should be sent to Ichie Ojiakanti eme ogo 1 to receive the gift. |
Why did he change his mind? |
“ However, the Federal Airport Authority (FAAN) has now identified the Immigration officials, forced them to refund the amount stolen and banned them from working in any airport in Nigeria”. Just imagine that. How can corruption be stamped out with this. I thought the crooks should have been sacked immediately. Now they have been removed from the airport, banned from other airports and probably posted to the passport office where they can continue their corrupt acts. Jagbajantis intete! |
RichDad1:He did a “bad job”? You saw the negative side. But you did not see the positive side of the airport which the state never had until Obiano built this one. |
OP no be agboro abeg. Na agbero. Anyway it is hoped that agberoism should end in the nation as a whole so that citizens can enjoy their peace on the roads. |
Very true. If them give pickin home training e no gree, na to give am outside training. This should also serve as a lesson to wives of leaders who are in the group of Obiano’s wife. If they do anyhow, dem must see anyhow with slap |
Ahead ahead. All eyes on this man in Nigeria. |

Will there be a solution to agberos in Lagos?
