In one of the books, it was said that in some instances, he would disobey the law to pass his vision across and set the country on the path of prosperity and progress. It all depends on leadership if a leader of northern extraction tries to do that, southerners would protest and if a leader of southern extraction wishes to deal with such men, northerners will also complain. Most Nigerians are corrupt, sentimental, diabolical, superstitious, myopic, envious and attention seekers. |

toluxa1: Don’t Become The Family ATM
Helping people is good but make sure it is not at the expense of your immediate family & your future.
"Black Tax" - The extra money that black professionals give every month to support their "less fortunate" friends & family.
This causes many not to have savings as it impacts on the ability to be able to save and build generational wealth.
Saving can be difficult in a country like Nigeria where some people almost abdicate their financial responsibilities to you if you allow them.
The following should help:
1. Pay yourself first - Take care of your own immediate family needs. - Be number 1 on your priority list 2. Save - Make use of locked up savings that you can't touch. - Several apps exist now that can help you do this on your phone.
3. Set a black tax budget.......and stick to it!. - People find a way to move to other people when they can't get money from you.
4. Spend on necessities - You don't have to buy every "Aso Ebi" especially if you can't afford it
5. Learn to say "No!", particularly if you cannot afford it
6. Help others become rich - If you are the only rich man in your family, you are a poor man! - Don't just give them fish, teach the to fish.

What if I told you guys that we could have MODERN AMBULANCES, ETC...like the ones we see aborad....IF WE PAID MORE TAXES.
Many Nigerians cry about how bad things are, and then port to countries like Canada, UK and US...where they pay municipal taxes as high as N30000 monthly or more....and in return, ambulance service is among the stuff provided.
Our health care budget was N800billion out of N8 trillion naira...that's 2billion USD. In the USA...the state of New Youk has a budget of $160BN USD.
And we expect miracles from our scanty budget of $22billionn naira.?
And corruption is eating our budget as well...meanwhile PDP and APC supporters are defending their corrupt politicans well well...
If you want nice stuff....PAY TAXES. If you want increased funding..PAY HIGHER TAXES. Our tax rate is 0-24% In developed countries it can be has high as 50% per annum.
MODIFIED
Guys....YOU CANNOT EXPECT TO BUY A CAR OF 8 million for just 8000 naira
Yet you guys want USA , UK , EUROPEAN level of CARE for a fraction of the amount they spend there for health care??
By the way, anyone who quotes me to insult or abuse me would be reported to the mods. I have made my point without insults. You can do the same too. Uncivilized remarks would be reported. how much workers earning 18,000 monthly should be paying as tax? about 50% Nigerians 're living below #300 per day. data shows 86.9 million Nigerians are living in extreme poverty represents nearly 50% of its estimated 180 million population. where wil taxes come from? from middle class? note that people earning moderate wages are responsible for welfare of millions of nigeria. government should do the right thing. Any sectorial reform without total restructuring of the country is mere academic exercise. cost of governance is too much. corruption is rampant. many Nigerians cannot survive without some form of corruption. |

It is sheer ignorance to blame the poor nurse without clear understanding of instruction given to them in generating government revenue.
As bad as it may sound, this scenario is obtainable everywhere in the country, hospital will admit those with money without regards to emergencies. The irony of this is that officials/Government will feign ignorance of public officials actions when the news goes public. Our media should always go deeper and investigate issues like this and not put squarely blames on public officials alone.
If Government of that state is truly for the people, they should announce and give directives to public health institutions to accept pregnant woman without money to their wards. Foolishbstaff were actually following instructions to generate money but they should have used their common sense. |

tinubu is already the leader either you like it or not. i dont know where you see thugs but if you are referring to nurtw, then you dont know shiit about history. nurtw has been part of south west politics since the days or awolowo and akintola. and they are not thugs but transport workers with thugs among them.
ladoja that cannot make himself a governor is the one this one is comparing with tinubu. or fayoshe that could not win election for his stooge is the one this one comparing with tinubu. despite pdp rigging all AD governors out in 2003, tinubu still remained the standing governor.
today, name one federal ministry that you wont find tinubu's stooge. yorubas literally went into political oblivion from 2011-2015, until tinubu came to the rescue.. where were the ladojas,or adelekes then? If tinubu is not lagos-based, he is just like any top politician from sw. If money politics is there, tinubu will be nobody. What is tinubu political ideology? What is his economic ideology? While growing up, i read a lot books written by awolowo. Try to get copies of voice of wisdom, voice of courage, prison, the problems of africa, voice of reason and so on by awolowo. most youths are hailing tinubu because they lack values and have lost morals. |

NinjaMetahuman: and where would you put tinubu that rescued south west from political wilderness at the center? Yoruba has no leader presently. Thuggery and money politics cannot take yoruba to anywhere. Yoruba plays mature politics. Used to admire tinubu to admire tinubu way back 2003 but he failed to prove his leadership when osun and oyo governors were messing up.tinubu is just an ordinary politician if he is not based in lagos. If tinubu is based in ibadan, he would be political mate of ladoja. He would be at level of fayose of ekiti or mimiko of ondo or late adeleke of ede or osoba of abeokuta or nisi alade of osun or omisore of ife. Adekunle ajasin, bola for, awolowo are still respected in yoruba land till today not because of money politics but because of integrity. |
