Well not all Igbos. Some Ibos are just hateful lot. But some of them are progressive. They are tired of this country. Some of them screaming IPOB up and down are not actually after biafra..they are after hate for yorubas. But they are not majority.

But in all of these..I am surprised my Yoruba muslim brothers are cooperating. They are even at the forefront of the odua struggle. I know many of them.

Leave those tinubu miscreant, mc oluomo wasiu ayinde and koko zaria..those will be put in their place with time

Yoruba faced the police during endsars although they are miscreants and area boys. Remember police have not recovered yet. Thats a lesson to all that no one is a coward.

Ibo people can be afraid of soldiers as can be seen by python dance.

Your comments here is why yoruba mock you during the python dance. You hate yorubas but always claim victims when yorubas dont support you.

IPOB Nnamdi kanu insult yorubas everyday before python dance... So you expect yorubas to support you when you hate them.

The python dance order didnt come from a yoruba man. It came from your fulani Lord. And they dealt with you. Whose fault. Let your fulani lord go and do pyton dance in ibadan na..lets see how Nigeria breaks up.

It will be joy to watch
You are on point !!
Igbo greediness is their greatest undoing. No unity of purpose.

More than anything else the breaking point and most fatal mistake of the North in over-testing Yorubas was attacking Yorubas in Ibadan which proved fatal. I'm an Igbo boy born and raised in Ibadan, and I know enough not to mess with Ibadan people...Ibadan is the beehive of Yoruba militancy and ruthlessness... all the most violent street thugs, street fighters, vigilantes etc you can find in the SW are headquartered in Ibadan. I witness lots of ethnic violence when growing up in Ibadan - especially Sango and Beere axis), and the brutality of the killings alone was scarring reminiscence for me.

Ibadan is the South East equivalence of Aba or Onitsha when it comes to having no joy, that's why Hausas can do nonsense anywhere in the East and maybe get away with it... but in Aba and Onitsha? it will be a Slaughter house for them.
100% correct. Ibadan supplies thugs to even Lagos.

Many opinions have pointed out that Northern leaders are being diplomatic and civil for asking Northerners not to attack Yorubas. Atleast if you are aged over 15years. You would have learnt over the years that North is the hot bed of sectarian violence. Religion and ethnic cleansing is a commonplace in the north. Any cough in Yorubaland always lead to full blown massacre in the North.

But what changed this time around?

The number 1 reason is, Yorubas are getting tired of Nigeria and are becoming violent. Yorubas are getting tired of being accommodating, they have lost a lot (Lives and Properties) to being friendly host to other tribes. The level of fulani-hausa resentment is growing in Yoruba land. An average Yoruba man (Leave out the political class and their beneficiaries) want yorubas to leave Nigeria and start "Yoruba Nation".

In the past 10years, Odua nation was a poor selling brand among yorubas. But like Biafra people, Odua nation is getting popular among Yorubas both at home and in Diaspora. Many notable yoruba leaders are now publicly supporting Odua country. And this is becoming a shock to Northern leaders.

Northern leaders know that the unity of this country is at the most fragile point. Any attempt to avenge will cause more ripple effect and lead to full scale war. Some of us are aware of Yoruba secessionists who are preparing for militancy (Not Sunday Igboho gang). These set of people will take advantage of the situation and set the country on fire. Northerners know how brutal Yorubas can be. Ibadan attack was just a random burning of properties. But Ile-Ife was a massacre. Ile-Ife/Modakeke people have no joy when it comes to killing. These are just examples of what Yorubas are capable of.

Its a common knowledge even to the presidency that our law enforcement and military are overstretched or incapable. They are only trained to protect fulani interest and shoot at unarmed civilians. They have proven over and over that they cannot withstand an armed group e.g. Boko haram, Bandits, ESN, Sunday Igboho. Remember Yoruba-hausa clash in mile 12? When the police came to join hausas to shoot Yorubas. But the endsars protest that saw many police killed, many police stations burnt have shown Nigerian Nigerian police what bloody Yoruba civilian are capable of.

Fagba in Agege is also another example of what Yoruba tout are capable of. Next ethnic clash will be gory as Northern reliance on armed force for support will fail.

In addition, a civil war will end fulanization agenda. And fulanis are wise not to invest in any venture that can lead to them loosing power.

Nigeria unity is really very fragile now. God help us.
Bitter truth!!! You are right about fagba. Odua nation is becoming real. Guys are angry. Any single retaliation will lead to another yoruba-fulani war. Future is scaring.

jarawa:
The Sarkin Fulani of Abeokuta, Muhammad Kabir Labar, yesterday said 23 herdsmen were killed and about 20 houses burnt in the recent crisis in Ogun State.

He spoke at the stakeholders’ meeting on farmers and herdsmen’s clashes in the state. Those present at the event were Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawale, Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu and Niger State Governor Abubakar Sanni Bello.

He said elements were bent “on setting our people against one another by whipping up ethnic sentiments.”

Recent clashes between Fulani herdsmen and farmers in the troubled areas of Yewaland claimed lives in Eggua, Ketu, Igbooro, Iselu, Agbon-Ojodu, Asa, Ibeku, Imeko and Oja-Odan.

Labar blamed the crisis on “strangers” who, he said, had disrupted peaceful coexistence enjoyed in the state over the years.

National President, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, Muhammad Kirowa, said herders are not trouble makers, but victims of the attacks.

He said over 8,000 cows were consumed in the Southwest on a daily basis.

“Our people suffered more in the hands of criminals in Nigeria. But we have been portrayed as criminals. Herders deserve sympathy. They’re not criminals,” he said.

The Olu of Ilaro and paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, warned herders and their association against inflammatory remarks.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State said only ban on itinerary herders and open grazing would end crisis and guarantee peace between farmers and herders in the Southwest.

He blamed the clashes on the influx of foreign herders into Nigeria from West African countries.

He described the ethnic clashes as ECOWAS problem, saying the regional body must put in measures to either register or ban movement of cattle herders into the country.

“We need to understand these issues. As of now, they’re ECOWAS problems. So, through ECOWAS, there must be a means of either registering the cattle that are coming into Nigeria or preventing the movement of cattle into Nigeria. That is a fact because they come with weapons. Initially, they were coming with weapons to protect themselves from clashes with farmers, but now, they’ve taken advantage, coming with weapons into the country to commit crimes.

“The movement by trekking from northern part of this country to the southern part of this country must be stopped. If we need peace with the farmers, but if we’re led by sentiments, herdsmanship must change from traditional to commercial herdsmanship.

“It must translate to commercial, not traditional, those days are gone and know some of the members of the Miyetti Allah may not be happy with my statement but I have to make it, I’m a Fulani man like them,” Ganduje said.

Governor Abiodun hinted that the farmers and herders in the state would sign a treaty as part of the part of peace meeting.

He said those fomenting trouble and ethnic clashes in the state are non-residents.

Naijatask:
Hello, guys I don't know if you all know what's happening in Minna, Niger state currently.

What started as a common directive by the Governor to demolish side shops and kiosk has turned to arrests of innocent bystanders including our gateman.

They (the demolisher's) came in last week to demolish the shops by the road side (despite the completion if road and culvert for more than 6years).

But were chased out by area boys and they returned today with lots of police men who started shooting teargas sporadically.

The area boys resisted the second time, but were overwhelmed by the number of police forces (they came with more than 70 police men as if going to war, all harmed with guns and even dangerous weapons).

Right now, they are surveying the whole area and anybody seen outside, if doesn't matter if you're innocent or not. They pick you up and deal with you.

Our gateman was one of the unfortunates. He was standing outside the gate.

Despite my stern warnings to him to come inside, he insisted on watching the scenes which player out before him.

He was spotted, and they tried to force their way in after he locked the gate.

They climbed the gate after noticing the gate was locked. And broke into his room, were he was beating right in front of me ( I was scared as I watched the scenes from my window which played out in front of me). Right now, they are still making arrests.

I will be posting pictures of the damages done by the bulldozers which they brought in.

I'm supposed to resume school tomorrow (FUTMINNA) and I kept wondering if this country may continue like this.

No jobs, youths created jobs for themselves and yet their jobs being destroyed by the same government which plundered the country into recession.

My Tailor's shop was affected by the excercise going on.

I will keep you guys updated once it's safe to come out. Also, I've phoned my mom and dad, who were presently at their places of work about the incident.

I will post pictures if eventually, our gateman gets released on bail.

THE IBADAN ETHNIC CLASH, FACTS AND FIGURES.

EYE WITNESS ACCOUNT:

By Obo Ekpeyong

It's so painful how people in authority are desperate to distort facts. When we run away from truth, we shall be hunted by falshood.

I'm an eye witness. I have lived in Ibadan since 1970, two years after I was born and brought to this city after the war

My first language is Yoruba. Thanks to my parents that I speak Efik. I find the Yoruba liberal, accommodating and considerate. This is why this city has been very peaceful for a long time. The city has only been jolted into violence by politics and elections

However, I must say that the Fulani in Ibadan traditional over step their bounds. They don't live with the locals. They create their own Ungoverned Territories where they do what ever they like. If you quarrel with one of them, some 15 people will descend on you. I have seen women beaten in the face of their husbands and children by FULANI mob They are always armed with a knife. In recent times, They form the majority of Okada riders. They have no respect for traffic rules. They have a sense of ownership over the city.

When you quarrel with anyone of them, they get you arrested by army from the barracks mainly their kinsmen. When you report any assault to police, their brothers in the barracks will come and threaten police to release him

This last incidence, a few meters from where I live, the buttocks of a pregnant woman was slapped by a notorious FULANI boy well known in Shasa. He does that frequently. The woman protested. He slapped the woman and removed her hairtie-GELE. As this was going on, his colleagues and even FULANI elders in the market were hailing him. The woman started crying. The next thing he did was to begin to stripe the woman naked, fumbling with her breast. As the woman protested, vehemently, she was already half naked. This hooligan started to beat her with the boot of a broom. The elderly Yoruba people were pleading but he was insulting them. She hit the pregnancy of the woman. She started bleeding. The few Yoruba elders started pleading but he insulted them. The woman was helpless The boy then said the Yoruba should go and call Olubadan before he could release the traumatised lady

It was when he pulled the woman to the ground that Yoruba youths were forced to mobilise and attacked. Instead of accepting guilt, the Fulani mobilised and attacked every Yoruba in sight.

When I read one Aisha Yusuff talking of END HAUSA MASSACRE, I now understand Nigeria better. Where did she get the word MASSACRE? How many people were killed? Both Yoruba and Hausa or FULANI were killed in Ibadan. Total is less than 5 people. That is not up to the number of Southerners and Middle Belt people killed in core North everyday for the past decades.

I thought she was a woman and activist. She saw nothing wrong in all the killings, rape, murder going on but quick to launch END Hausa killing. This is crazy hypocrisy MUST stop
Thank you for the information. Hausas like creating communities within host community.
That shasha market should be demolished.
Nobody should turn market to homes. Market closes by 6pm.

Sir I am from Ibadan and live in Ibadan

That's exactly what happened.

The Yorubas came with Amotekun to arrest the Hausa guy on Friday morning but Seriki Hausa Refused to release him or provided his whereabouts.

The friends of the dead cobbler and the dead pregnant woman got angry and threw a few hausa pepper on the floor.

The sekiri Fulani called the military to what was going on and they came and chased away the Yorubas.

At night, the Hausas destroyed and maimed any Yoruba they could come across in the Shasha area and the rest I wrote earlier followed

If anyone tells you anything different from this, tell the person to swear with the Quran.
May God bless you for this clarification!!
