Pack of lies.

Why didn't the biafrans try to foster partnerships with other nations?

The same france, china you mentioned were supporting you, isreal also.

Where is biafra today? Gone like the wind, they were defeated by nigerian troops.

Stop thinking about the past, you can't change it, you were defeated like a conquered nation, here you are in Nigeria.
Biafra was defeated yes. It happens in every war. Loser and winner. But how is Nigeria faring since war?
Hope you are enjoying it.

Stop spreading lies.

Even before the almagamation of Nigeria, the various tribes did had their own army that enforced law and orders and also fight off invading forces.

This same logic also applies to Nigeria.

You are still applying the same lack of foresight by your politicians to the debate.

As we say THE END JUSTIFY THE MEANS....no matter what you think, the end is what matters.

Influence is everything, the person with the most influence will control the situation, if there are 5 southern s and 4 Northerners in the army , the 5 southerners will influence any situation in the army.

You guts can keep complaining while northern strategists with lot of foresight win the day.
He is telling the truth . Nigeria got independent in 1960 but security agents and leaders are yet to be independent from colonial mentality.

Nigeria police love soft targets!
Of course.
If 1000 protesters are armed with Ak 47, grenades , and anti-tank weapons , government will be forced to negotiate with them.
Massive uprisings against government will consume security agents in 72 hours. It would be anarchy. Majority of security agents have low IQ, they do not know how to manage orders from their superiors.

ochejoseph:
It was Abraham Lincoln who said "Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing".

I Woke up this morning to news of disturbing scenes at the Federal University Lokoja, one of the six new Federal Universities built from scratch by the Goodluck Administration.

Poster and banners of the outgoing Vice chancellor Prof Angela Miri with unprintable words saturated the scenes while workers armed with brooms and trumpets sang and danced while sweeping her footprints from the University's premesis.

Source: https://www.nairaland.com/6412770/federal-university-lokoja-staff-mock

While watching these unbelievable scenes my mind quickly flashed back to a contrasting scene few years back when another vice chancellor was leaving the same seat at the same University.

That vice chancellor was Professor Abdulmumini Hassan Rafindadi a professor of pathology, with interest in cervical cancer prostate cancer and medicolegal medicine and the pioneer vice chancellor of Federal University, Lokoja, a post he held until February 2016 at the end of his 5-year term.

Those who knew him say he was an administrator with a difference, a man who knew how to manage people and institutions.  According reports his remarkable transformation of virgin land into a beautiful and amiable institution with meager resources, within 5 years left many wondering as to how he was able to achieve such feat

Staff weep as he vacates office

In what appeared to be the first of its kind in Nigeria and an endorsement of his leadership style, members of staff of the Federal University Lokoja, Kogi state couldn’t hide their emotions and wept bitterly and openly as Professor Abdulmumini Hassan Rafindadi left office. The Prof struggled to also hold himself as he waved at staff and students who gathered at the Vice Chancellor’s office to bid him farewell.

Source:

https://www.nairaland.com/2941596/staff-cry-rafindadi-vc-lokoja

Rafindadi and Miri occupied the same office but thier tenures were characterized by two different and distinct outcomes.

Coming at a time when the country is mourning the death  a true servant leader and former Governor of Lagos state Baba Lateef Jakande, it is imperative for those entrusted  with leadership to always remember they will one day leave office, irrespective of how long thier tenure appears to be.

Those who have been saddled with the responsibility of leading should always remember that muzzling the ox when it treads the grain and denying labourers of their worthy wages when one feeds fat on their sweat will always result in this type of treatment.

As Professor Olayemi Akinwumi resumes as the new vice Chancellor of the university, it is hoped that such acrimony will cease as he will bring his wealth of experience and people management to bear in his quest to take one of Nigeria's baby institutions to enviable heights.

Sunday Igboho has succeeded in deceiving Yoruba youths. Yorubas are not known for fighting strangers in their land. it is high time that Yoruba elders call Igboho to order
Hope you are not indomie gen?
In 90s, yoruba and hausas had frequent clashes. Many lost their lives in mokola when abacha died in 1998. It was a terrible war between hausa and yoruba. What about kano yoruba war ?
I guess Sunday igboho also instigated that too.
From history, it is only yorubas that can treat hausa madness.

There is nothing like spontaneous and disorganized protest, infact revolution are organized and sponsored 1 year before it starts.

Nothing happens by chance.

Karl marx is a marxist and he was instrumental in spreading anti capitalism idea to incite the working class against the capitalist group the ruling elites hate but at the ends benefit his capitalist friends.

When class struggles happens, the working class still suffer and the capitalist group win because labour and salaries will stop while the capitalist send his fund outside the country.

At the end of the struggle, another group of capitalist buy the industries for very cheap and pay labour( working class) very cheap.

All revolutions in the past were spontaneous. It is expected that some figures will emerge as leaders of revolution. There can never be peace without justice.

thebosstrevor1:
The rules is never allow protest to start.

Protest do not start organically, all protests are organized either by foreign bodies or by internal bodies.

Foreign bodies could either be a Foreign Ngos, Foreign government or terrorist groups, internal bodies could either be home based ngos, trade groups and anti government groups scattered all over the country.

It is important to know that sometimes foreign governments or ngos or trade groups might work with internal bodies to disorganized and sabotage a country.

The reality is protest does not benefit anyone because in change does not happen by protest but only if the system decides to change.

For a protest to happen, money must change hands because money is needed for logictics purposes, also a protest must needs leaders and also channel of communication to incite the people into the street.

Now, Government intervention can either make a protest start or die.

What can Government do?

Focus on Ngos, most protest in Nigeria are organized by local ngos with funding coming from international bodies and organizations who wants to see the country sabotage. It is government job to make sure all local and foreign ngos are registered as foreign agents, banks accounts must be monitored and laws must be created to limit the funding an ngo can get in a year.

Protests needs organizers, posters must be printed out, online groups must be created, influncers must be paid, all these must be tracked even down to the printers by the police and stopped before it escalate.

Fine online media that promote protest or write about any news talking about a possible protest.

Arrest leaders of protest groups without making a scene.

Yes, every citizens have the right to protest, it is their civil rights but when a protest starts having foreign sponsors, the purpose is sabotage.

Government needs to be vigilant to avoid any possible protest before it starts or it will lead to economic sabotage, ethnic cleansing and chaos.
The history of all hitherto existing societies is the history of class struggles-karl marx.
Spontaneous and disorganized protest is more of revolution.
Organized protests are usually staged by oppressed majority against oppressive minority.
Nothing can stop protests until justice prevails.
