You think to graduate as an Electrical and Electronics Engineer all you need to do is solve ODEs and pass other abstract courses? You have no idea of what Engineering entails.

A phone charger is even too elementary for me to be dragging words with you who does not have an iota of knowledge on how these things are built and operate.

FYI I have designed and built quite a number of complex projects so I'm not talking abstract. Infact to graduate as an Electrical and Electronics Engineer, it is one of the requirements. And no project supervisor will accept a charger from you because it is too simple.

Now you keep asking whether i know better than them, you are talking trash. If i show you the circuit diagram of this chargers, can you even interpret it? I gave a simple and a little technical explanation of how it works and you that has no knowledge in electronics is questioning me.

Phone chargers step down AC voltage of 240V (depending on the country) to DC voltage of 5V.

Most transformerless design employed in phone chargers nowadays does not completely isolate the mains (240V) from the output (5V) because one of the output terminals is always referenced to one of the mains terminal, which is usually the neutral line but can be accidentally reversed when plugging.

In electronics design, the common terminal is called the ground so one of the output terminal is referenced to the ground. In this case, we make use of the neutral line. But Unfortunately most chargers have just two legs that is plugged to the mains supply. What this means is that if the plug is reversed, The reference point will change and part of the output will be the LIVE line and this can be very lethal if you mistakenly touch the mouth of your charger or any other exposed part.

Engineers have found a way of eliminating this reversal by making use of three terminals.. So the next time you want to get a charger, make sure you get the ones with three terminals, they are the safest. With this type, you can only plug it in one direction..... Don't say it is too big, value your life.
Below is an example of the 3 terminal chargers I'm talking about.

I think it high time the government lift the ban on religious centers. Last week a powerful man of God in the country (Apostle Johnson Sulaiman) said that the government should allow pastors into the isolation center to pray for those infected and that God will heal them.
