Just reminiscing, I visited a restaurant in Egbeda- Lagos along with my wife, not that large in size but cozy enough to chill out. The waiter handed us the menu’s, eyes rolled they are damn expensive so we settled for chips and chicken 20k for two plates, thought that was it not until I ordered 2 bottles of water and was billed 4K, I said to myself how can I pay for 40 bottles water @#100 rate then given just two, that’s ridiculous; at least 1k per bottle is okay considering the serene atmosphere . Anytime I pass by that place and feel like stopping by I will just remember the cost of their bottle water and zoom off.

Always ask to see the menu and price list before ordering. It's very important.

Banks makes more profits from POS operations than any other services...So they prefer to give out new notes to their POS vendors than regular customers. POS agents can walk into the bank at any time to collect new notes even if there is a long queue...

I totally agree with you. Ideally we should only use physical cash for petty tradings. i.e not in excess of 5k or 10k max.

From Mushin to Ilupeju, the bank ATMs aren't dispensing and they say the reason is that they are still expecting the new notes from CBN, as at 10-11am this morning.

Blame the CBN, NOT INNOCENT NIGERIANS!

Is withdrawing physical cash the only means of transaction or payment for goods? I've not seen not touch physical cash in almost 2years running.

I've never touched physical cash in 2years. It's a conscious decision I made for myself. I get to save more and quite account for how I'm spending compared to when I was taking cash almost every day.

If CBN delayed based on limited prints or whatever, it doesn't affect lodgement of money in the bank. The value of the money is the same once its paid into the owners account.

They and the HoA can put heads together, but they can't decide for the CBN and the president. 3months is more than enough for everybody to take their money to the banks. In any case, they still have today, Monday and Tuesday to do so.
