adenigga:Actually they did not force us together. The North never wanted to be part of Nigeria that was why our independence was delayed from 1957 to 1960 to persuade them to be part of Nigeria. It was the south that wanted the North to be part of Nigeria. If by “force us together”, he means the removal of referendum, it was the south (Ibos) that removed the right to referendum. It was the south that abolished Federalism, it was the south that created unitary govt, it was the south that introduced the military. To be honest, all my life I have been brainwashed about North this, North that. But the more I read, the more I experience Nigeria, the more I realize the major problem with Nigeria is actually us in the south. Finally the North has never won any election outright without the south! |
OdefaGirl:They can leave after 10 yrs, go to a private university and pay fees or do another course. We are all suffering, you take money from those who are suffering to educate you and then you take off without giving back? Why won’t we be suffering? |
TheExclusive:This is the problem with you people and the reason why people like me will vote for Tinubu and why he will win! Instead of you to sell your candidate, you attack Tinubu, is Tinubu your manifesto? I don’t know how many times I am going to tell you, we are not blind, we are not deaf, there is nothing you are going to say about Tinubu we don’t already know. If you had any brains, you would realize that something must be wrong with your candidate that despite all Tinubu’s shortcomings, despite the suffering and hardship in the land, the majority will not touch your candidate with a barge pole. I have said it many times….if you guys had any brains you would realize .it’s an indictment of the opposition!!!! That you put forward or rally behind a candidate is so poor, so unsellable, he has absolutely zero chance of winning despite all the negatives against Tinubu and APC!!! If you are struggling to unseat a party that many believe has failed (not me) in an environment with probably the worst economic and social statistics ever, with a candidate with so much baggage. It shows you guys are not ready to govern. Governance starts from your choice of candidate and you got that wrong! Be it PDP, be it Obi!! The choice of flag eater, the method of campaign says a lot about you that your attacks against Tinubu. If you guys had any brains that should be your focus!!!! You cannot abuse your way to Aso rock!!! You may be stupid and emotional, the rest of the country are using their brains!!! We’ve heard all the abuse, nothing new, we know and we still reject your candidate. So tell us something we don’t know like concrete plans, you know like maybe your track record and a manifesto? Remember manifesto? 90 days to election, no plans, no manifesto but it is the old men who have articulated their plans and provided manifesto! You are jokers!!!! |
TheExclusive:I have stated many times I am no fan of Tinubu, I have stated many times that I am voting for him specifically because I can’t stand the thought of Obi in Aso rock, if you comb through my posts you will also find I have said many times the choice in 2023 is a choice between bad, worse and worst. I have also said on numerous occasions that if Obi and Atiku were not in the race, I would stay at home and not vote. I am no advocate of Tinubu, in fact I have stated this many times so in that respect my posts are consistent. You will not find anywhere where I have promoted him. But I have stated repeatedly I am voting for him for reasons stated above, the he is the least bad of a poor set of choices. In fact I have always been careful never to say he is the “best” but the “least bad” and Nigeria is in trouble if the others particularly Obi enter Aso rock. I have said it on many occasions if Obi wasn’t contesting, I would stay at home on Election Day!!! I am voting for Tinubu does not mean I am a Tinubu advocate!! My post history is consistent in this. One thing I have consistently said, present a better alternative and I will change my vote but don’t keep telling us what we already know while presenting alternatives that are worse. |
Oziens:Try and at least post like you have primary school leaving certificate in English |
TheExclusive:Where did I tell you I have no candidate? I have always made it clear I am voting Tinubu. And have always made it clear I cannot stand PDP as a party and both Atiku or Obi. |
mployer:Be deceiving yourself there! |
naptu2:Did they not tell these people there is a World Cup and France is playing ? So people will leave World Cup to watch NTA with terrible sound? |
naptu2:Did they not tell these people there is a World Cup? |
TypicallyBrunt:While the idea behind govt spending money on universities is to e skill the populace for national development, Some professions are more critical to national interest than others. Some are in excess. I don’t see Uk coming to Nigeria to recruit people who studied business, history, philosophy or law!!! If they recruit our engineers because we produce too many and/or cannot provide jobs for them, that’s our fault and I understand. There is no shortage of jobs for doctors in Nigeria. |
mployer:Don’t let stats deceive you. I have 2 smart phones and an iPad. It may count as 3 but it only 1 person. If 44% of Nigerians used smartphones, then we are not the poverty capital of the world and all the figures about poverty are wrong. If 44% of the population indeed have access to smartphones then all this talk about nepa is a lie because they have electricity to charge their phones. Pick 1, both are not possible. |
Nightwolf1:Feel free to point them out. I am not the only one reading this. You can’t because there is nothing to point out. I challenge you, I dare you!!! |
Nightwolf1:What has Obi showcased in all his endless media pursuits? We are still waiting for his manifesto!!!! Please tell me specifically!!!! Tinubu did not need debate to tell Nigerians today that he will recharge Lake chad. Atiku did not need debate to tell Nigerians he has already drafted constitutional reform bill ready to go. Obi is not a serious person. For all the TV air time, Can you actually point to a single articulated policy under Obi? |

onyxo76:That’s fine, there are more people studying medicine in govt universities than private. If you can afford to go private, you likely are already ina private university. Also the best medical schools in the country are still the govt ones. |
Racoon:Your comment shows how stupid you are. It shows you are the type of Nigerian who is led by the west and not by what is your natural advantage and what is advantageous to you. You are an Uncle Tom, a western stooge, a waste of education, a fool!!! |
Otunbakayce:Anybody who thinks that especially at a time when resources are scarce, it is right for the government to pay to educate critical skills like doctors and for those doctors in a time when the country has a shortage of doctors, to take those skills abroad to benefit foreign countries, deserves a miserable govt, a miserable country and a miserable life!!! Get lost and go back and tell your father (if your mother knows who he is) that he wasted Awo’s money and that he raised a bastard son!!! You talk like the child of a baby mama, a product of stray sperm!!! |
Otunbakayce:And you are clearly a product of modern day free education…..garbage in, garbage out!!! |
Otunbakayce:And you are a fool, Awolowo did not educate people for free so that they can develop other countries. From the way you reason the education Awolowo gave your father was wasted if he could not impart any wisdom to his child…..and from the way you write clearly also an inability to write properly in English. FYI one reason the govt educates it’s citizens for free is based on the future projected need for skills. One of the reasons OAU was established by Awo was because the universities in the country were not enough to produce the demand for Skills in the western region, in particular engineers and doctors. That’s why there was an emphasis of these subjects at OAU. |
Game over!!! |
Osoboshi:That’s why those who pay fees at Afe Babalola should be free to practice anywhere. |
OdefaGirl:If you are in a govt university your education is either free or subsidized by the govt. Go to Afe Babalola or convenant if you want to know how much your education really costs. We the tax payers are the ones paying for your education, If you want to waste my tax, then let the foreigners pay for your education or pay for it yourself!!!! |
onyxo76:Does one have to spell everything out to you people? If your education was paid for by the govt, Your license is recorded and held with the NMA for 10 yrs after graduation. During that period any employer has to validate you are a licensed doctor with the NMA before employment. The NMA rejects enquiries from foreign bodies until the 10 yr period has expired. Eventually foreign agencies will know that if you don’t have your certificate or license, they can’t employ you. |
I hope the Canadian HC has Northern supporters at the very least PVC? |
OdefaGirl:Did govt train doctors to staff hospitals abroad? |
Like debates, presidential candidates rushing to commission Wike projects are underdogs. Tinubu does not need Rivers votes, so long as the votes don’t go to Atiku he is fine. And if they do he is ok too because at least SE will take Away Atiku votes. |

There should be a method of withholding the license of doctors and health workers trained in Nigeria at govt expense for at least 10years. |
The problem with Nigerian journalists is they don’t know how to interrogate. When he says he doesn’t condemn ESN, she should ask if he condemns the killings? At least the killings are not in doubt!! |
After Apc and PDP rallies in the North, it is clear there is Nothing for Peter Obi in Northern Nigeria and by extension no presidency!!! |
Agbegbaorogboye:Oga, this is Monday start of a new week. I will reply this once and no more. If Tinubu and Atiku had a deal as claimed then it is clear Tinubu was aware of Obasanjo’s plan. He could have alerted his co travelers in AD but clearly he didn’t. Don’t forget, he was at loggerheads with them anyway. So when I say he played the spoiler, what it means is that he knew what the game plan was but it suited him to have them wiped out and protected himself. When the enemy did his work for him, he merely picked up the pieces with his newly found position as last man standing and became the new leader. This is a similar position Wike finds himself. You have an internal tussle for supremacy or at least attempts to whittle you down, your collective enemy is after your internal enemy, what do you do knowing you have the power to make a difference not just on the fate of your internal enemy but your own future? Play along with your camp and be whittled down or play along with the external enemy and hope he deals a. Knockout blow to your internal enemies so you can pick up the pieces or at least emerge undamaged? As for Atiku, the man is a serial loser, he is afflicted with the curse of the man who always snatches defeat from the jaws of victory. Examine his political career from 1992. He was a political force in his own right. Serial winners or losers have abnormalities along the way , but it is the overall pattern that determines whether one is a serial loser or winner. Perhaps if Atiku had taken the governorship he rightly won and not traded it for a VP slot, his story wil be different. Don’t forget sardauna could have been prime minister but instead he nominated Balewa for the job and though Balewa was no1 in the country, everybody knew and accepted that Sardauna was the real power certainly as far as northern politics. Perhaps if Atiku has become governor and consolidated his political power as a king maker in the north, his story would be a different one today. Again poor strategic thinking. Yes he became VP but to what avail? He was a bigger political force in the Borth before he became VP, since he became VP his relevance is o Lu dictated by his deep pockets and his ability to spend. Again he has lost out….a serial loser!!! A product of a man lacking a strategic mindset. Another example of Atiku being incapable of strategic thinking was his choice of Obi in 2019. Obi may be popular today but he did t have this level of support in 2019. If you look at the figures, he actually lost SE votes in 2019. A strategic thinker would have selected a VP in 2019 from the SW to damage the APC in the SW, instead he chose a VP from a zone that added nothing to his votes, a zone that would never have voted for your opponent so he had nothing to lose if he didn’t pick a SE VP. The purpose of a VP slot is as leverage to add to your chances of winning by bringing in new votes, not to reward people who have nowhere else’s to go. Atiku does not think right, his political career is littered with evidence of a man who doesn’t think right. Obasanjo is right!!! As for running businesses , Abeg using position of influence to corner monopoly port concessions, oil blocs etc and then employing experts to run offshoot businesses for you is not being a business man. It is being a rent seeker. A loooter who has cornered unlimited resources and can afford to run businesses at a loss if need be to give cover of legitimacy. Atiku and his like are not a business men, he they are thieves! All those empty luxury flats in Ikoyi are not owned by business men they are owned by thieves!!! No one who works for his money and understands wealth creation and the time value of money will leave properties empty for years. Not everybody that runs a night club is a business man, many are drug dealers laundering illegal funds. So please oba otudekp, innoson, Coscharis, Okoya, Aliko etc etc…these are business men, Atiku is a theif!!! |
