Wells stated that his religious doctoral studies at Yale, which were paid for by the Unification Church, focused on the "root of the conflict between Darwinian evolution and Christian doctrine" and encompassed the whole of Christian theology within a focus of Darwinian controversies.

Evolution theory doesn't defy reasonable science. It is generally accepted because it agrees with reasonable science.
Ever heard of peer review? What it means is that your rivals study your submissions and try to rubbish it. If they are successful, your theory is thrown into the dustbin but if it withstands the tests, it is generally accepted.
And Darwin's evolution theory withstood the tests and that is why it is generally accepted.

The AS genotype is a disease entity. It is linked to infarction of the spleen (a very important organ in the hematopoietic and immune system), it is linked to renal diseases. That they are not as sick as SS genotype doesn't mean they don't get sick. Go and read up about it.

Sickle cell disease is an evolutionary genetic mutation.
It is a spontaneous mutation, it wasn't created in the lab or by your God.
If you bring white Europeans down to Africa and they are exposed to falciparum malaria, after a couple of centuries, they will develop the Skills gene mutation.
Or your God was like "Oh shittt I've done created this African kids with malaria, what am I gonna do? Okay let me create another human with the S Gene mutation"
Even if he did that, like I said earlier, he just created another death sentence.
