How does one "seek after God"?

Before anyone can seek God, he must come to the knowledge that God has laid down tools and procedures on how to seek Him.


Then we come to the big question
1. Is God in any religion?

2. Which religion has the true God?

3. What are the tools and procedures in seeking this God?

At this point is like I'm reversing the question back to you, The Lord Jesus Christ is the true God. But how did I come to this conclusion?
1. Pragmatic approach,
2. Intuition,
3. Personal experience,
4. Personal research etc.

All of this I'm not ready to share or discuss now because the time is not yet ripe.

It talks about idolatry which doesn't mean worshipping carved metals or woods but the temporal things of the earth, our ambitions etc. which comes first before God in our hearts, thereby causing a shift of the soul from uniting perfectly with God. That is page 1.

Page 2 encourages man to seek after God so that the soul will be tied to him and nothing can separate his soul from God. The end result is purity and perfect union with God on earth and even after death.

If you notice I said by the grace of God and not of works. It's simply graaceeeee.

1- I time myself

2- I rarely sleep

3- I cried for that grace in prayer to God after reading a biography on Apostle Babalola.

4- I don't have time for frivolities.

5- If I have no where to go, I just study, pray and listen to sermons, if any other spare time, I watch godly movies.

6- I pray in the spirit lying down, when I'm feeling sleepy I stand, the Spirit strengthens and sometimes I can stand for 9 hours at a go, when tired of standing, I sit.


It's simply grace Bro. The Spirit of grace and supplication and not by physically might.


No man can receive anything except it be given him from above.

Another edification. More grace and strength from the Lord Jesus Christ to carry on with your good works.

Hello, good morning brother. Sorry to intrude, but just thought to say something on this question you asked the OP.

Praying for 4-16 hours a day is something you grow into. It is the Holy Spirit that gives you the grace through the spirit of Grace and Supplication and also the Spirit of Might. It doesn't start automatically. You build yourself into it from 1hour to 2hours and so on.

You must be willing to tarry in the place of prayer also. Because the Holy Spirit responds to our heart call.

In addition, praying for 4hours to 16hours can only be managed with praying in the spirit. That is praying in tongues. You really can't pray for 3hours or even 2hours in your understanding. You will find yourself repeating words and drifting in thought and alertness.

Finally, the more you engage praying in the spirit according to God's words you will be surprised to find one day that you have been praying for hours.

P.s: This type of prayer also involves "praying on the move". " Pray without ceasing" means live IN prayer. I can pray while doing the dishes, I can pray while walking or even sing in tongues, or while on my bed. But you will realize you can only do this in tongues. I hope this helps you.

@bolded is my main point of interest. How do you perform such great a task?

Do you set the clock when praying? or is it an accumulation of different praying hours daily, thereby making it sum up to 4-16hours?

I asked this question because I'm wondering how someone will kneel, lie, stand or walk around praying maybe from 6am-10pm daily. O what a special Grace from the throne of God's Grace!

Please give me proper highlights on prayer that I may enter such grace you are in by the help and comfort of the Holy Spirit through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In as far as your last statement.. Jesus Christ kept every aspect of the law.
You all quote from apostle Paul so much, but conveniently overlook the fact that he imitated Jesus the LAW-KEEPER, and instructed us to do the same. (1 Cor 11:1, 4:16), (Phil 3:17), (1 Thess 1:6)

That Christ was the "end" of the law doesn't mean the law ceases to exist.
How can something be declared the "end" in one book, but be called "eternal" in another? (Psalm 119:160)

If Christ was the "end" of the law, then why is the Sabbath referenced in the end-time tribulation? (Matt 24:20)?
Why are Paul and the apostles still keeping the law, and (rightfully so) instructing gentiles to do the same?
Why is the law going to be observed by EVERYBODY during the millennial reign, with Christ as our ruler in Zion?


"THE LAW SHALL GO FORTH FROM ZION AND THE WORD OF THE LORD FROM JERUSALEM" (Isa 2:3, Mic 4:2)


Everyone here is justifying the eradication of God's laws based on a single man's writings (Paul).
This poses a serious problem. The Word of God cannot be broken.
If Paul is saying "the law is done away with", we should see similar language by the other authors. We don't.
Christ HIMSELF said he didn't do away with the law but to "fulfill" it....and not ONE dot or tittle shall pass from the law until HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS AWAY AND ALL IS ACCOMPLISHED.

Has heaven and earth passed away?
Has all been accomplished?

Christ is the "end" of the law is not what you think it means. the Bible interprets itself. It can't be praised, extolled, and observed by the same man who supposedly said it ended (Rom 7:12). This calls for further study on your part.

I challenge you to read other online Bible versions of Matt 5:17, and also see what "fulfill" in the concordance means (G4137)

They are not even reluctant in customizing the title prophet, pastor, bishop, GO to their name, they have seen the gospel as an avenue to achieve their mischievous aim and anything that will become an obstacle to that aim is seriously lambasted. They are ready to accept all forms of nonsense parading as Christ. Is it not for this reason we have many churches scattered in every nooks and crannies of Nigeria?

We will continue to experience such and even worse in the church since the followers wants quick success and are ready to do anything to get it even if is licking pastors shoes or honouring them more than their neighbors or parents.

But there is always a day of reckoning. Hallelujah.
