Christianity EtcRe: As Christians, How Can We Overcome Sin? by CaveAdullam:
Looking unto Jesus Christ our Lord the author and finisher of our faith.

The Lord Jesus Christ conquered sin in the flesh totally on the Cross of Calvary, what you need to do is to ask Him for wisdom and revelation of that same victory both of you shared on the Cross of Calvary over principalities and powers, sin, fleshly desires and all other things contrary to the will of God Almighty.

If you focus on yourselve to overcome sin/the flesh on earth you will surely fail, if you set rules, regulations and schedules you will not be able to meet up, no matter how much you try, it will lead you into further depression just like the case of the man in ROMANS CHAPTER 7.

Let the Holy Spirit that indwells you, bring you to the understanding of the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ that you may have the mindset that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Let the whole of your heart be that that seeks the Lord Jesus Christ with all its strength, reins, and passions, and you will see yourself leaping from glory to glory in Christ Jesus, far above trials, temptations and persecutions.

Do not focus on the sin/flesh but pour all your focus on the Lord Jesus Christ, think Christ, speak Christ, desire, Christ, love Christ, dine with Christ and you will surely become like Christ. As He is in the heavenly place so we are in this world.

Thanks.

God bless.

Lord God Almighty, let thy Holy Spirit continually lead us through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ just as you have promised, that we may not be engaged with the affairs and pleasures of the flesh.

Christianity EtcRe: Won't I Fail My Home As A Pastor? by CaveAdullam:
I know you are doing the work of God, but you must understand that not all that are doing the work of God especially in ministering of the word were called by God.

The first question you will ask yourself is if you were really called by God to be a fellowship leader or whatever post you are heading in your fellowship. Don't expect God to help you on a journey He never sent you. You might choose to have a good time schedule which is good in the real sense but on the long run, will lead you to more depression if God is not the one that sent you.

Ask yourself this question when it is still early so that you will not fall into depression in the future, fail to do things that will make you happy or lose important people in your life. The answer you received via the Spirit of Christ will be an automatic life changer for you.

Thanks.

God bless.
Christianity EtcRe: Should A Spirit Filled Believer Succumb To Depression And Suicide? by CaveAdullam:
Lol.

You are very on point bro.

Selfish ambitions are the major causes of depression which in most cases always lead to suicide. If the life of a Christian is wholly focus towards heaven and not on earthly things (although he needs them), such Christian will always find joy and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.

At this stage of my Christian life, though in my early twenties, God by His grace has brought me to that stage where I can say with Apostle Paul that for me to live is Christ and to die is gain.

The Lord Jesus Christ even told us that the house that is built upon the rock(Jesus Christ) will not fall when the rain descends, when the flood comes or when the wind blows. He again also told us that He will provide for us shelter, food, and clothing just like the flowers in the field and the birds of the air.

So no matter the circumstances we experience in life we must allow God leads and comfort us by His Spirit so that His divine will be fulfilled and we also will leap in Him from glory to glory. Anytime depression or thoughts of suicide comes our way as Christians we should remember the Lord Jesus Christ and His sufferings while on earth, Job, David, Elijah, Stephen and a host of others who through Christ overcame the trials, temptations and tribulations of life.

Nevertheless, just as Apostle Peter said, ".......rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed."

I have glance through that book the Foxe's book of martyrs, I even have a copy of it and will read it carefully during my leisure.

Christianity EtcRe: Can A Dead Man's Spirit Be Truly Consulted By The Living? by CaveAdullam:
1. The act of Necromancy is recorded in the Holy Bible, it an abominable practice which is contrary to the will and purpose of the Lord God Almighty and not what any Born again Christian should indulge in.

2. A familiar spirit can masquerade as the spirit of a dead person to pass information as in the case of King Saul and the witch of Edon when he went to invoked the spirit of Samuel. Because these spirits are very intelligent and if we go by the name "familiar" they are able to mimic anyone. Remember the devil can also transform into an angel of light and hence the reason we must test Every spirits so as to differentiate demonic from divine spirits.

3. That pastor is still walking after the flesh and must genuinely surrender himself to the Lord Jesus Christ in order to walk and live in the Spirit.

Thanks.

God bless.

Christianity EtcRe: Our Abilities To Talk, Walk And Eat, Is It From The Body Or The Spirit by CaveAdullam:
The Spirit in man gives life to the body to carryout its functions like talking, eating, walking etc. The Spirit is like fuel in a car, it gives life to all the various parts of the car so that they can be able to carryout their various functions especially when the car is in motion.

Both are always together acting mutually as one becomes dead without the other.

Christianity EtcRe: What's The Difference Between The Spirit And The Soul? by CaveAdullam:
Explanation of the Spirit, Soul and Body is a very sensitive matter that needs serious consideration and many facts finding as only few knows the appropriate truth.

Lets see some illustrations;
1.The Spirit is the king of Man, the soul is the steward of man and the Body is the servant. I guess you know the relationship between the King, the Steward and servant in a palace?

2. The Spirit is the current, the Soul is the filament and the body is the bulb in an electric bulb.

It is only with pen and paper that it seems spirit, soul and body is distinct but in reality all of them functions the same time.

Spirit(God consciousness): It consists of the Intuition, Communion and Conscience. The Spirit is the life of man and where the Holy Spirit dwells in a born again Christian. Without it the body becomes lifeless.

Intuition: where God reveals Himself to man and where man knows the things of God.

Communion: fellowship with God.

Conscience: ability to know what is good and bad according to God's standard.

Soul(self consciousness): It consists of the Mind, Will and Emotion. It forms the personality of a man.

Mind: your intellect, knowledge about things, understanding about natural and spiritual things etc.

Will: the ability to decide whether to do something or not.

Emotion: feelings of joy, love, fear etc.

Body(World consciousness): the physical part of man that interacts with the world. It is also called Flesh. It is where the spirit dwells and find expression in man.

This is just a brief summary @Holycity, you will know more and better if you fellowship with God in Truth and in Spirit through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, studying of the Bible and other Spirit inspired books and most especially prayer.

The book Spiritual Man by Watchman Nee will help you know more.

Thanks.

God bless.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Did God Accepted Abel Offering, but Failed To Protect Him? by CaveAdullam:
One thing I love about atheists is that on one hand they are trying to disprove God but on the other hand they are giving Christians real opportunity in exploring God.
Never for once have I neglected the questions thrown by atheists because answers must always come due to the fact that truth and I mean all truth abides with the Spirit of Christ. But atheists already have their mind made up and are ready to turn truth into lie because of their foolishness or will I say blind spiritual state.

Abel was the first innocent man to be killed or the first Matyr (because he was killed as a result of pursing the cause of his Maker), but he is not the only one recorded in the Holy Bible and you need to be more observant because you will see many on these last days die like Abel in Christendom. Lol

God is not accountable to any man, anyhow He chooses to go you either follow or ignore, and this must be counted as one of the true quality of a Deity or are you trying to tell me that the Potter is accountable to his Pots?

Sickness/ diseases excluded except otherwise, Christians are permitted to leave the earth through (persecutions or natural death), but this does not matter, what matters is the course they followed and the accomplishment of that purpose in regards to the course pursued. Abel fulfilled his part on earth and supposing you all atheists are not spiritually blind you would have seen all the spiritual principles connected to his existence and death as it was never against the will of the Almighty God neither was He taken unaware.

Lets I forget as Christ is so we are in this world, and for us to enjoy a glory as His we must suffer a suffering like His. Ehn Shikenah!

There are many verses in the Holy Bible that can satisfy your curiosity but only if you will remove the log of wood in your eyes before finding fault in God Mr euromilion.

Isaiah 57:1-4
NIV:The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.
NIV:Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death.
NIV:“But you—come here, you children of a sorceress, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes!
NIV:Who are you mocking? At whom do you sneer and stick out your tongue? Are you not a brood of rebels, the offspring of liars?

NB: I don't waste my phone ink over arguments.

Thanks.

[s]This is quite shameful. Yet today's world celebrates shame like it's a trophy won.

1 Corinthians 11:14
Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

Mind you, Jesus never had long hair. Don't be fooled by that picture drawn by Renaissance artists inspired by the gay Roman Catholic Church. If Jesus had long hair, don't you think it would have been easier for Judas Iscariot to point him out to the soldiers instead of walking close to him to kiss him? He would have just said "it's the guy with the long hair".

What about Samson? He was a Nazarite and their vows pertain to not cutting their hair, not drinking wine, staying away from dead bodies etc.[/s]
Trash!!!!
