I've been thinking about the children and their families in Haiti.  I went to Haiti several years ago. Those poor people have very little,  . . . .  Just sad to see what little they do have taken away.   Lets keep them in prayer

My brother mentioned this to me this morning.  He said going to Mecca is something he dream about. I told him he should attend even if I have to help him. (geeze, must admit its a lot of money)

Anyone from this forum ever attend?  If not, why? And if a person never attend - is it "unMuslim" like?  (i doubt it but am just asking to make sure)

O God, we pray and beseech you

Recipe for nigerian tomato stew - one that you can serve with rice.

Thought I should share this

2 pounds fish fillets, thinly sliced (although it won't be authentic Nigerian, chicken may be substituted for fish)
Salt, to taste
Pinch of thyme
¼ cup red bell pepper, minced
¾ cup tomato paste (6-ounce can)
1 medium onion, chopped
4 cups water
¼ cup peanut or vegetable oil
1 chicken bouillon cube

Procedure

1. Season fish fillets with salt and thyme. Set aside.
2. Place the pepper, tomato paste, onion, and water in a large pot.
3. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.
4. Add the oil and bouillon cube. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
5. Add the seasoned fish fillets and simmer for 10 minutes. (If using chicken, simmer for 20 minutes.) Serve with rice.

Porridge, toast with peanut butter, cup of tea and a glass of cran juice

When does a woman's "biological clock" start ticking?

I have a girlfriend (who just turn 27) who has no children and no mr right (picky with men). All her friends are asking her when is she going to marry and have baby(s). At present she is more of a career lady than a family lady (of course she wants kids). She has a good paying job (150,000.00 per annum) and is up for a promotion next year.(manage a group)

Last night my girlfriend and i were at a party and someone said to her "Now is the time for you to find a husband and have a kid - YOUR BIOLOGICAL CLOCK IS TICKING."

Should she feel worried that her biological clock is ticking
