It's not because I'm a Christian or anything, but most dating websites has been adulterated by runs, I'm not the one to condemn runs but there should be a difference between dating website and hookup website and no matter how sane a dating website is, it usually becomes a hook up website because the owner is after money and more money comes from runs and hookups.


But the idea of a church creating a dating website is comical!

Let's try to look at this here. Jesus Christ sent His followers into the world....He didn't call them to segregate themselves in any way or form from the world. So your youth camps, singles gathering have absolutely nothing to do with God or that which God commanded of us to begin with. So when your churches create dating sites to control the way people interact with each other, God's Law to us is violated.

Having said that, I get tired of the hypocrisies of so many Christians, the same people that don't have issues with meeting a spouse on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and even Nairaland will criticize a church creating a Christian dating platform.
We have seen a lot of marriages here on nairaland so how does a church creating a dating site that will be controlled and monitored now be an issue.
In fact, churches in the past have been doing something like this but you just didn't know. What do you call your youth camp meetings or singles gatherings that churches do organize? is it not because they want you people to interact and socialize or do you think it is only for religious purposes?

How does someone that wakes at 5 am and goes to work and comes back as late as 9 pm every day socialize?
The motive of the church is not bad if we remove our hypocritical hats.
There are bad people everywhere, even in the church so I don't see how we suddenly criminalize social media, is it not the same people you meet offline that you see online.

And for the over-religious folks, didn't Abraham send Eliazar to go look for a wife for Issac? what will you call that?
Also haven't your pastors introduced you to a brother or a sister for the purpose of marriage ? what will you also call that?

I think i have seen something similar before. my javascript skill is not strong. so converting to PHP is really hard
