JESSE2:Did the BP actually run out before you opened the dispute? Notice that phrase in the message: "since your package is still in transit time" The "BP running out but item still in transit" reason is usually valid when BP has run out and there is tracking evidence in support of the claim. You may have to attach screenshots of the tracking as evidence that the item is still in transit. |
Rajioba1:Ha! This one is strong o. |
ojtech8291: ![]() |
JESSE2:Arbitration will likely be in your favour. Just make sure you reject the seller's proposal if he begs you to "please cancel the dispute". He will then be saying some rubbish about refunding you using PayPal or paystack or some shyte like that as if na everybody get PayPal. Once you cancel, na chase you go dey chase am to pay you your money. Nonsense guys. |
brainhack:The Xbox one S apparently consumes 80w and below. That to me is not energy hungry. The average laptop takes about 65 watts while charging and in use. Seems a fair deal. Happy sales. |
ojeysky:24v is 105 ah. But there's no way I can tell what's left of cap when it gets to 24.3v. ojeysky:The PWM acts only as a LVD device, nothing beyond that. It does contribute any charging. The charging is by a 60A MPPT. |
ojeysky:Nice. |
sobality:Has NIPOST website ever been reliable? I have not even accessed it since about 4 years ago when they showed signs of serious inefficiencies. Maybe they've improved a bit now sha. |
ojeysky:I have one left at 12.9v/13.0v by daybreak. The other pits at 24.3v by daybreak. I am auditing the loads on that one with a view to changing to more energy efficient ones. ojeysky:In both scenarios, I used a 10A PWM with adjustable parameters connected to another relay that controls the inverter switch as the LVD device. I have a big LVD bought off of AE that would have done the job of disconnect along the inverter to battery wires but I don't think I'm comfortable with doing it thru the connection from inverter to battery. So I basically utilize the same contact points that the inverter switch are soldered to. |
ojeysky:The BMS are LFP not Li-ion 18/6/5/0s, right? |
NiyiOmoIyunade:But apparently the cylindrical cells occupy greater volume in assemblies, capacity for capacity. Prismatics are also now made with tiny projections on either side of the flat surfaces so that when packaged, there is always a slit in-between the cells. These allows for proper aeration and allowances for minor volume changes that may occur with the charging and discharging cycles. Will Prowse showed one in one of his videos. |
ojeysky:Bro, coming from kiekie then it's definitely a typo ![]() |
ojeysky:I have all my LFPs at 12.1v low voltage cut-off now o. I just reduced a set from initial 12.3v to 12.1v. I still hope to get an impressive performance cum duration of use from them sha. Not that the backup was not sufficient but I want a uniform Low voltage disconnect across my systems. It usually does not go below 13.0v/12.9v by daybreak. |
JESSE2:Okay. You still have chances to open dispute again for "BP running out, item still in transit" at expiration and not later than 15 days after. I believe the arbitration should be in your favour. |
JESSE2:You've not opened the dispute, so how can judgement be "invalid"? I think you mean to say you have not been allowed to open dispute. In that case, you have to wait till the BP runs out in few hours time. You have from then till next 15 days to fike a dispute based on "purchase protection running out but item is till in transit" reason. But your tracking also has to show your claim as valid else AE will invalidate your claim. Another danger here is in a situation where the seller actually does not ship the item but gives you a tracking number issued by another seller who also has a buyer in Nigeria. In such instance, two people in Nigeria are issued the tracking number. The only time you can tell that something is wrong is at "final delivery" where you can now see the town in Nigeria where the item is delivered. In that case, your dispute reason will be "package sent to wrong address" which will be validly incontrovertible. But you will also need adequate days of BP to follow the parcel till delivery for that to happen. If not, you risk AE telling you to wait for parcel to arrive within you BP period since tracking is still active. I've had a similar situation about 3 years ago when seller claim to ship the item - a Windows tablet - but he didn't. Apparently he ran out of stocks and didn't want me to close order on implicating grounds, so he kukuma tell me "it's shipped". I come open mouth dey track number expecting the item only to later see final delivery at "Umuaiha". Of course I opened dispute on the basis of "item sent to wrong address". And I believe that attracts less penalty to seller than "refusal to ship item after payment" which would have warranted an order cancellation. I've had a seller who irked me by saying that the price of the item I paid for was a wrong price typed against the item in error. Me wey I don happy say I jam goldmine. He appealed that I pay more to make up for the price or cancel the order on the basis of "other reasons", a reason which I think attracts the least penalty among all reasons listed under the order cancellation tab, those reasons that will likely seriously derate the seller. Of course I obliged him, but I no happy as I miss that awoof. |
Mofolam:I'm not sure though, but I think a seller changing an agreed logistics company is enough grounds to open a trade dispute that will favour you. So if you wanna consider that, fine. |
babaegun:@bolded. Abeg na God I take beg una, next time they show up why don't you do them the courtesy of unleashing the dogs on 'em if you have one. Shey dem no know say you don become the husband of dem mama ni? |
ojeysky:Low tare. That's cool. What's the value? There's one that was marketed to someone I know. It's 80amps MPPT and 3kva. The supplier is mumbling something about 200k but someone has revealed the secret that it can be supplied for much less than that. I don't know the tare though. I'd have loved to make a good comparison.

JESSE2:Refund for cancelled orders (before shipping) may likely be faster than for failed deliveries or faulty products (which usually takes place at BP expiration or at delivery respectively). My refunds (at BP expiration) usually takes 5 working days on GTBank. |
SpicyMimi:With the serious delays in shipping and delivery, I don't think it's worth it. An item I ordered last week was shipped yesterday. The BP read 89 days remaining. It used to be 60 days pre-covid. By the way, one useless AE seller like that that gave me a wrong tracking number that belonged to another buyer in Nigeria (I discovered it was wrong due to a serious disconnect between the time he claimed to have shipped my order and the time shown on the tracking number provided as "item shipped". That was in April. I opened dispute straight and got my refund. I still plan to blacklist that seller for being fraudulent. But i kept tracking that number to know where it ended. 5 days ago, after almost 2 months of inactivity the tracking finally showed "sorting in Lagos" and yesterday showed final delivery. Guess at what place? - Kaduna. ![]() Meanwhile na Ogun State be the destination for my order Crazy seller that was. |
Valto:StanbicIBTC too may have reasonable deals. I used their cards massively on AE during that recession that occured in ex-president GEJ's regime. I think their exchange was reasoble because they are more like a foreign owned bank. I don't know if they still maintain that good rate though. |
essegis:Lol @ Museum. Na real museum of sun energy. Mr. NiyiOmolyunade is in the heavyweight category. Thank you o Mr. Niyi for being of reliable help in times of need. It appears one other thing that gives you exhilaration is probably having more people jump on the AE train. God bless you, keep up the good work. I shared to neighbours that usually come to charge their phones in my crib, all my AGMs when I settled for the lightweight league Lithium, having upgraded from the featherweight lithium category. That encouraged them to get small sized (9k modified wave) inverters and at least one 150w panel to power basic things - lights, charging, 19 inches TVs mostly and Gotv. Even some of them that were hitherto on MTN lumous started to blame themselves for that bondage. The community has no grid power yet and I was the only one on reliable AE. Aside from the reduced traffic of phone and torchlight charging at my place , It's always a thing of joy to see rays from light bulbs shine thru their windows at night when I pass by. |
Alozera:I've had two messages like this in my mail too in the last 72hrs. Number did not tally with order number or tracking number. What I did was to check my 24track app to see the two orders updated as having reached Nigeria, so I was able to guess what items the two mails referred to. |
ojeysky:Apparently it is high frequency type. What are the other specs? |
Babanhajiya:Interstate travel restriction did not really impede the movement of goods, but it's government decision that civil servants stay at home at the initiation of lockdown that was initially responsible for NIPOST delivery failures. I happened to send a NIPOST EMS package 2 days before the lockdown. It was already at the destination post office on the third day but the receipient was not contacted and he couldn't get it until after 5 weeks when the senior officers resumed partial services. Then the workers themselves began to use that excuse even after the government said level 14 upwards should resume, and delivery was still hampered. A visit to a NIPOST office last week shows that they resume office by 10am and close by 2 pm so if you happen to show up after 2pm you will be asked to come the following day. Worse still, only a few of them show up for the work. No sorting, no active services goes on in the office. I believe same applies in NIPOST in other places. |
ojeysky:Was this your type of Felicity?

henrygold100:I'm afraid 200 watts may not work for the two devices. I believe PS game console guzzles nothing less than 200 watts in itself. Your TV will require at least 40 watts too. So it seems the two can not add up. I may be wrong though. You'll be better of determining the expected consumption of your device by checking the nameplate or better still use a wattmeter to measure the actual consumed watts while eacg device is plugged in. |
henrygold100:I believe two low wattage devices may be plugged into one step down transformer. The common step down transformer being sold around reduces the voltage from 220vac to 120vac whilst maintaing good amperage supply to sustain two devices. |
Monlo:Shyte! I ordered two MPPT CCs few days ago and insisted it be shipped with my choice - DHL. jmaine:Better. I've seen that. |
Penuelseun:Yep. There is usually a much smaller size of it I've seen around sometime ago. |
essegis:I just thought about this now: How about you use a smaller version of this high tension insulator used by NEPA guys as your base (support) for attaching either side of your bus bars to the board, in place of the wooden supports. Those insulators usually have thru holes to screw 'em on any receptacle, your bus bars and board in this case. Aside from guaranteeing poor heat transfer to the wood board, it will also provide some aesthetic. |
Orubebe01:15 watts is not much. It is something in the order of the Bluetooth speakers. My BOSE sound link Bluetooth speaker is rated 2 x 10 watts for two speakers - that makes 20 watts. Typical car sound system speakers is rated 50 watts x 2 - that's anywhere between 75 watts to 90 watts for an average car. So if the machine you have in mind is the home theatre kind of boom speaker sound, then 15 watts is not even close to it. |
