Some OPC guys in Lag apprehended a dude who directed them to his crib. They mistakenly knocked on our gate. I went to check and saw hard-looking guys brandishing pump actions. I went inside and dialled 112. a lady picked up and after convincing her that it wasn't a prank call, she diverted the call to the area command. I reported the matter to the officer and he said they will do something about it. Later we realised what really happened and the OPC guys apologised. As i went back to sleep, I heard sirens wailing. I came out and was shocked to see about 14 ARMED cops cordoned the street in front of my crib. Came with about three vans!!! I was so proud of them.

the people are fully in support of witholding of LG funds and constraining the LG officers to use it in Projects in partnership with State govt. Its betta than paying lazy-ass-good-for-nothing-semi-literate councillors 400k a month and allowing the LG Chairman to divert 60-80 million naira monthly!

Lets not celebrate mediocrity abeg. Japan passed a ¥6 trillion (=N= 12 trillion) budget proposal for EXPANSION of their bullet train network. Unless we are comfortable being called the armpit of the world, we should consider that japan's and naija's population are more or less at par. We need an industrial revolution and kick-starting the Ajaokuta steel complex so we can at least manufacture the trains here. Who is talkin of 2020 without indegenous technology research and development. Is the govt able to spend 1 trillion naira a year on research? Cos 2020 is closer than u think. Mediocrity aside, we got a shit load of intellectual work to do. Importing d latest gadgets, cars and tokunbo trains from canada aint d solution.

@okija juju, Are u not aware that 3 new campuses are going to be built soon? The present site of imsu is just too small to contain all the students and infrastructure necessary for an "eldorado" university. Rochas could as well pocket the cash and be paying the lecturers' salaries. Each LG is constrained to build 15km of roads in collabo wit the state govt. If that project is achieved, won't it be the 1st of its kind?

Lets do some math,  If there are 10,000 imo indigenes in  imsu. That amounts to 1 billion naira per annum. Now, dat gives 37 million naira for each of the 27 LGs. Dats 3 million naira a month per LG. Average monthly allocation per LG is abt 60-80 million. If the Lg will contribute half of the funds, dat will amount to only 1.18% - 2.5% of their allocation,  Very paltry and VERY FEASIBLE IN MY 4KIN OPINION!!
