Car Talk / How Does One Make A Correction To His/her Driver's License? by cevek11: 9:40am On Nov 17, 2020
Does anyone know how one can make corrections to his/her driver's license?

Been trying for a year now and the FRSC keep responding that the process has been temporarily stopped.

You can't ditch the old and just make a new license all together, as they will say your name is on the system already. And you can't correct the old one meaning it is useless as a means of identification.

Please if you are in some way connected to the individuals at the top of the FRSC, please help us ask them when this thing will be opened so corrections can be made.

Also let them know that the individuals managing their contact channels and social media handles, are non responsive

When I saw this event play out, I realized that you don't need to attend business school or read business oriented books to understand certain basic business strategies.

So from this picture, what lesson can you deduce from this event played out by two business people.

ollins:
Let me cut the story short. Had a fling with this girl, along the line she got pregnant. You know all that talk of "if you could sleep with her, then you must marry her" "if you got her pregnant then you must marry her", Iooking back now, I wished I hadn't listened to all those voices.

I knew in my heart that I didn't love her, even she knew but the pressure from the family was too much, I had to marry her. On my marriage day I was practically crying within me.

Her character is just opposite of all I wanted in a woman, she's barely educated, loud and loquacious.

That's my cross I am carrying today, stuck in a loveless marriage.

The warmth and Romance is absent from our home, we have not had intimacy since beginning of the year till now, we just have no interest anymore in each other. We are just living together for the sake of our child.

My question now is how does one cope? Is this how I am going to live the rest of my life?

Crime / What To Do When Your WhatsApp Account Is Hacked by cevek11: 7:45pm On Jun 25, 2020
Was involved in the recovery of a hacked whatsapp account today, and thought it will be good to share.

What's happened? the lady got a call from someone claiming to call from a known organization she recently had jamb preparatory classes with. He said they are creating a group to further the tutorials, and intend to add her to the group. He requested for the WhatsApp code and she gave it to him. Next thing! She can't access WhatsApp again.

What to do if this happens to you?
1) Call everyone close to you and give them a heads up, as it's very likely they will receive messages from your account with the aim to extort money

2) Delete, re-install, and attempt re-registration. If this works the other individual is automatically logged out

3) Contact WhatsApp, they are on Twitter. There is also an email we found online: support@whatsapp.com. The mail subject should state fraud/hacked/lost/stolen etc and body should have your WhatsApp number.

Once you get your account back activate 2 step verification

"IF YOU DO MOBILE BANKING from your phone, there is need to put a PIN on your SIM, otherwise your account can be wiped clean anytime you lose your phone or your phone is stolen. The process to do is very simple but if ignored can cost your all Your life savings.

For those who don't know about it yet, just follow this simple steps to protect hacking of Your bank account through SIM THEFT.

1. Go to SETTINGS in Your phone.

2. Go to SECURITY & LOCATION under SETTINGS

3. Go to SIM CARD LOCK.

4. Click on LOCK SIM CARD.

5. Enter Your mobile network default SIM CARD PIN.

*For MTN users it is "00000".
*For AIRTEL users it is "1111".
*For 9mobile users it is "0000"
* For GLO users, it is "0000"

6. After entering the MOBILE NETWORK DEFAULT PIN, under it You will see " CHANGE SIM PIN", click on it to change to Your unique 4 digit pin,

7. Confirm Your unique 4 digit pin by entering it again & YOU ARE DONE .

So anytime You "On" Your phone You will be prompted to enter Your SIM CARD PIN just as You will be prompted to enter Your phone lock PIN or Draw Your PATTERN each time You "START" (ON) Your phone.

With the ACTIVATION OF SIM LOCK on Your phone, Your money can never be withdrawn from Your bank account through your SIM because Your SIM will be useless in their hands since it is blocked and You will not be under tension to go and block or retrieve Your stolen SIM.

Please kindly share this information with Your loved ones because the rate of phone theft these days are alarming as they (phone thieves) are not just after the phone but SIM CARDS linked to Your bank account.

Please let's be safe!!! "

Thank you.

Crime / Limiting Loss Due To One-chance by cevek11: 10:29pm On Jan 30, 2020
So in a discussion with friends, someone told of how a colleague of his was robbed by these ONE-CHANCE bus drivers and beaten till he gave up his details.

This got us thinking, of what one can do to limit the loss should one become a victim, and some of the suggestions are as follows

1) Keep your saving in a separate account from your active account. No Debit/Credit card access. And if possible, no internet banking.

2) from '1' above, if you have built some sayings invest it, where it will be safe and without instant access. This ensures you only have little cash to give. This will help you cooperate better, hence receive less beating grin

3) Someone said if you get the opportunity, damage your card or phone. This has to be coded, and unnoticed, once you see that you are in danger. You may also lock your accounts with wrong PIN attempts, if there is no secret code to do so.

4) Do not move around with your card when unnecessary. Some bank do cardless transactions, so in emergencies you can us that

5) All banking apps on your phone should be placed in a secure folder, and if possible, hide the folder.

These are some tips, please share if you have more
