Family / Re: Kids Do The Darnest Things by cgift(m): 8:05pm On Aug 01, 2008 |
I was on vacation and after a while decided to sleep in the parlour on the floor (no light that afternoon and cared less about generator). I grabbed my second phone (Huawei N5K) and put it under my pillow. I looked skeletally for the first main one, my N85K Sony Ericsson P1i could not find it. But cos i was feeling so sleepy, i just ignored but my church mind was telling me, pray hard that your daughter does not lay hands on that phone that while asleep. I disobeyed and refused to pray . Dont know what woke me up suddenly! I just saw her with a polythene bag with the a solid shape and fully wet. Something asks me within, hope its not your phone in that thing? Only for me to open the bag and lo and behold my phone soaked in water from the bathroom and nicely wrapped in a wet polythene bag. That phone misbehaved for 1 good week before getting its half life back again. Want to sell the phone and now they are pricing it for N13K! I could not even beat her that day. |

Autos / Re: Suzuki Suvs With Lease Options Available. by cgift(m): 4:06pm On Aug 01, 2008 |
Thanks for this. I presently drive a Suzuki vitara though a 2001 model, it is very reliable and quite economical with gas. Its technological innovations is not in doubt and it costs very cheap. It is more rugged than the generations of CRVs and RAVs but the only problem is that it is not very stable on the ground and is not adviseable for speed above 120km/hr. Another minus is the availability and consequently cost of parts. I had to park it for one month at home when my timing chain got cut (albeit due to my carelessness anyways). I had to import it from America before it got up running again. The engine is rugged even for the 4-cylinder. So, i know the Grand Vitara could offer much more cos the engine is even more rugged. But what is this ting i hear that the new generation sedans are based on dielsel engines? How true is this claim? |

Career / Re: The Truth About Bank Pay In Nigeria by cgift(m): 8:03pm On Jul 31, 2008 |
Oceanic has poached many of our staff but they are really experiencing peace. I intereviewed a guy who wanted to join my team from Oceanic and was surprised of the pay he presented on an AM grade cos what my guys earn as AM is much higher than that. I learnt from him that there are bands for some grades. Never forget the fact that even on the same grade in most of these banks, people get different pay. I am one example. I earn more than 90% of my colleagues on the same grade cos of an important strategic factor. So, these things are relative and depends on whom, what, why and where |

funkybaby: Kindly go to Alausa as adviced. Come tell us if the Abule Onipan is not under freehold. Better still kindly get the magazine/document that they publish and sell for N1,000 and see if the said land is not under freehold. On wether it should be termed "as land around Lekki phase 2, ok. Dear Nairalanders, the land in question is around Lekki Phase 2 |

Properties / Re: This Place Beats My Imagination A Trip To Lekki Phase 2 by cgift(m): 1:48pm On Jul 31, 2008 |
funkybaby: Thanks, The place is called Abule Onipan. When you get to Ajah, kindly ask that you be directed to Abule Onipan and there you are. It is often called Lekki Phase two but the truth of the matter is that in a state government gazette, it will show that the land in question has been excluded from government acquisition. Coming from Ajah towards Abule ONIPAN, government has acres to the left. They also do some have to the right (i.e., where Abule Onipan lies) but what happens is that government does not take everything. Government does not claim all lands! It leaves some but of a truth, it does have some plans for those areas that it has earmarked as its. For surety, take another trip to Alausa and confirm the area Abule Onipan belong to the Raji family on the chart. If your findings are negative, come to Nairaland and say so please. cheerio. |

Properties / Re: This Place Beats My Imagination A Trip To Lekki Phase 2 by cgift(m): 5:56pm On Jul 30, 2008 |
astar2008: It is about 25 acres. Not necessarily gated as such things would unnecessarily bloat the price. Other questions: Who is the owner of this property? Just one family (as in surname) but is extended. The family name is Raji (only the part-name for privacy reasons) Where exactly is the land located? When coming from Ajah to the right, but directly on the road. The area is called Lekki Phase 2. It is about 10-15 minutes drive from Ajah but perfect tarred road, no holdups, serene environment, a place where you don't need to wait for anybody before you build and park into your property. What is the size of the plot? About 25 acres is the total land size. Each plot is standard 120 by 60. How are my Sure this is not another scam? I have my integrity to preserve. If you like, involve your lawyers to go chart it at Alausa. I have my stakes there too. I currently have my work. It is secondary source of revenues for me. My primary source is enough to keep me away from scamming Does the land have any titles. Exclusion documents from Lagos state goverment being held by the families. Immediately i get copies of the exclusion document, i will display here on Nairaland. This you can however confirm from Alausa. Who will the cheques be addressed to? Me, or my partner If there is problem in Future who will take Responsibility. There will be no problem. But for a definate answer, Me. We could meet and then you will appreciate why i am too much to scam I only hope i have not scared you more. My contacts remain 08028547031 and crownsgift@yahoo.com cheerio. |

Lagosians go kpai o! Kai! Peopl will start falling sick as a result of the stress. Cars will breakdown more often in the traffic with this rainy season due to several factors, many drivers will loose their jobs cos BRT will experience more patronage, etc, infact, it cannot be fully described until experienced first hand. Lagos is under fire, For some of us, exloring IT and working from places of convenience might just be it! |
Autos / Which Suv Is Best For Me? by cgift(m): 1:45pm On Jul 30, 2008 |
My good people, Which SUV is best for me? I stay in my own house but my road is baaaaaaad!! You know what i mean. i use a Suzuki Vitara at the moment but it is wearing out fast asides parts being \scarce aand expensive. I had to import timing chain component from the US., the other time, i had a problem with it and the vhicle was down for like one month! Now, i am considering changing my car for another SUV. Now to the experienced car users/sellers/analysts, which will be my best bet to consider knowing that 1.) It must be an SUV (mid- or not too large for a family of 4) 2.) Must not consumer gas too much since i stay in Ikorodu but work on the Island 3.) Parts must be available (in Nigeria) and prices moderate 4.) The tokunbo car must not be more than N2.5m 5.) Must be fairly good off the road. Do i make sense. I need the car like yesterday. |

Please come join me live and relax at Abule Onipan, Lekki Phase 2. For those with great foresight, come take a ride with me to this place. It is the remaining sane part of Lagos yet to be disclosed to real estate investors! Just one minutes (yes! 1 minute) drive from Eleko Beach junction on the way to Ajah, you have Abule Onipan up for sale at an introductory price of N1.5m per plot. I will sell my house to buy this place - might say my house is cheap right? Title documents like the perimeter layout is currently being prepared for this area thats why it is this cheap for now. Held meetings with the families the land belongs to and they have asked that we go ahead and sell. Once the surveyor gets through with the documentations, it is going up No begging! Other info: Property not in the bush, its along the main express to the left coming from Epe but to the right coming from Ajah. You just buy, develop and move into your apartment if thats what you want! People are already living in this area exclusively preserved for you and me Please note that the property in question has been excluded from the state government ownership. Go check the LASG gazette at Alausa to confirm. Need more infomation? You can call me on 08028547031 or mail crownsgift@yahoo.com now!!!. GRAB YOUR |

You wont believe this!!! I drove to the beach and i am buying about three (3) plots by the beach!!! Come and see the scenery - you will fall for it! About 40 acres to go at a cheap rate of N3.0m per plot. You cant beat it!!! Just 5 minutes drive from alpha beach itself - where Jay Jay Okocha has his house and land seling for N10m, you have this best kept secret being unravelled for only N3m for starters!!!! Hint: Coca-Cola and Chevron have bought acres in this same area i'm talking about. Just rush because it is the cheapest you will ever get in the Ajah environ. No Omoonile palava! Not a water-logged zone. Imagine the shade of the palms of the trees, the nature fruits thereof, the sound of the tidal waters behind you, and guess what? The place is ever booming with activities - it is the best kept secret as far as Lagos properties is concerned. Call me 0802 854 7031 or simply mail crownsgift@yahoo.com for more details or perhaps, a possible visit together. You get discounts on each plots you buy after the first. |
