Most african coaches need to go back to school to learn the art and science of this game. its not about glorifying white people but about admitting that they know this thing more than us on the average. That does not mean they are more intelligent but onl shows that in some certain fields or disciplines, we are yet to get there.

many thanks,

Family / Re: Must A Woman Tell Her Husband Everything? by cgift(m): 9:16pm On Jan 16, 2009
These things are complex. for pre-marraige secrets, they must be fully exposed but for post-marraige secrets! wahala! you tell him a damaging atrocity you committed that might mark the end of your roses if he cant live with it or mar your relationship as he may be dissapointed. vice-versa too!

Lesson: Never mis-bahave post-marriage. If any situation is likely to make you mis-bahave, let him/her know quickly so that the two of you will know how to tackle the problem together especially if it has to do with the opposite sex. Tell him all advances made towards you that you consider threatneing and how you want him to deal with it. That is how i relate with my wife-she tells me all advances made and we deal with it together! For me i dont make advances - i am a clean guy! work no allow me get time fr useless runs! Moreover, my wife is too complete for me!

Please live clean especially post-marraige!

You can imagine some people still questioning why he did not land the place in the aiport? Funny me! The pilot made typically a u-turn in the air and was headed back for the airport but instincts and experience showed him he wasnot going to make it to the airport runway and had to make a quich decision to land in the water! he must have weighed the options criutically. All the way before getting to the river, he had flown across areas with considerable residences! He should have chosen to even crash it there and by then they would not be asking this nonsense question of why he did not land in the airport.

Humans can be so funny attimes!

Dear Paul,

This your article na wa o. Of course it has its pros and cons but a matured mind will seive out what important lessons and apply them (i dont mean to go set up a a business empire) but to apply caution and gain discerning abilities to be able to decipher the truth when you see any MOG. I dont believe we are meant to be poor or destitute or live average lives as christains, but that we should rather be shining lights to others and bring them to the loving knowledge of Jesus without missing the essence of love and sacrifice of Christ on the cross. For instance this scripture: 2Co 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: says, God wants you to have sufficiency in all things in order to be able to impact society in good works.

You will agree with me that you are obliged to give to further God's work right like meeting needs of widows/orphans, the less privilded, prison services, hospital reachouts, and so on, ? if the answer is yes, then you will also agree with me that the church will definately have a large pool of funds/gifts and control vast wealth with time. Do not also forget that Pastors also get gifrts (cash and kind) and where you have multi-millionares in your congregatio, how can you be poor? No doubt, some misappropriate these things, but we cant throw away the baby with the bath water.

Let me ask you Paul, can you still be a Pastor if God calls you? I guess a yes right? Now, how can you ever meet needs when you are poor? You just cant be poor! You must be rich from gifts and individual blessings from people alone.

But God promised Abraham that his wealth will be uncountable. He blessed Job. He blessed Isaac and Jacob. He blessed this people. There were so many rich men in the time of Christ as well who even later became his disciples. The rich will always have influence and do good with their wealth. See this scripture, James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.; do you know how much it costs to do this alone? I know of Winners for example run Prison services, and do all of these stuffs. Do you know how much in millions it cost to do this regularly ? Or do we have to perform the miracle of feeding 5,000 people every now and then to meet their very basic needs?.

Pastor Adeboye for inastance does not have access to church finance and that is the position of many Pastors who are genuine. The wealth will only come naturally and needs not be struggled for. Pastors are on salaries as well but are blessed by people like you and me when we show appreciation of God's goodness in our lives.

No doubt, the prosperity message has been taken out of context but mind you, you will rather be rich and bless people than be a liability. Meeting needs would make your work as an evangelist/pastor easier.

I hope i have been able to strike a balance with mny two cents?

holymoses:

lets stop all this talks about who is genuine or not. it is very simple, let them pastors prove their miracles by giving us contact addresses of the people healed by them. since they were told to do this by the media authority, nobody has come forth with any proof.

The truth is many of the 'miracle cases' wont have any medical proofs. It therefore becomes very difficult to attribute a 'percieved' healing to the effects fo prayers of the MOG. But one would wonder why someone who claims to have been healed of AIDs would have difficulty providing evidence to support his claim. Someone who walks out of a wheelchair too should not be too difficult to prove i believe. That is where the challenge comes? I dont think these men of God would be media-shy when it comes to showcasing in real terms what the Lord has done to the whole world. Even Jesus at some point told the man he healed to go and show himself to the authorities , . . , . . , So, why cant we test the veracity of these claims? Is it unbiblical really?

If i were a man of God with such wonder working annoiting, i will be all glad to have the cameras on me to confound doubting Thomases.

This is just my humble submission.

u are right, that is how things are supposed to be, but somehow everything has changed with lots of atrocities some men have committed all in the name of being the head of the home, women can take so much. But biblically, u are right.

The biblical stuff is not theoretical but pratical. For instance, i dont joke with my wife especially after she has been through in life at her relatively young age.  Any man who abuses a woman should be hanged (and i mean it)! You should know the kind of man you are marrying in the first place - his ideals, beliefs, and so on. That would give you a good idea of what he can do. But first, do you have the right attitude? If no, you could make the gentleman turn into a demon and vice versa! Reading through these responses here, i can see not a few women here have the wrong approach and attittude to marraige that in itself is a fundamental problem and will definately not make them compatible.

I am just convinced somehow that you can know the  likely propensities of a man before you marry him if you study him well enough and not be blinded by infatuation of some sort. A woman marrying a very religious muslim should be ready to have to share bed with anther woman no matter how long it takes and should not be fooled that nothing can make her husband take on another wife! If children dont come on time, i bet you know what can happen! (This is Africa!)

So most times, people get what they deserve somehow. Open your eyes, go with the right guy but first and foremost, be right in your attitude. This principle does not respect geography or skin colour.

Now, Mrs. Michelin89, what kind of tune would you prefer? The bashing type?
Family / Re: Nigerian Women SPOIL men with their over tolerance by cgift(m): 4:50pm On Sep 16, 2008
michelin89:

*yawn* Low self esteem is bad. And why should I bother myself to help a half balled being like you? I have my life to live jare!

You have unseen laws putting you where  you belong  grin. On a more serious note, me for instance give my wife all the opporutnities she can ever need to actualise herself. Real men dont do all those things you ladies are attributing to men here. In an ideal situation, that God wants for his children, you the man are expected to love your woman (now you may want to carefully analyse the word love) while the woman iscommanded to respect and submit to the man whether she earns more or not.

The ideal man therefore would not abuse his woman or demean her. He would know that whenever he does that, he abuses himself and demeans himself. He would not maltreat the woman even whe she wrongs him. He would see himself as the sheperd who should cater (protect, provide, preserve) for his sheep (the woman).

For those of you who think God's words concerning the submissiveness of women is demeaning, well, you need to have a mind renewal. Hope for the best, change your expectation as there are a lot of excellent men out there but your preparedness and disposition determines the one that comes your way   wink

So, go for the ideal man (who loves God and loves his wife) and then you will see that men are the best thing to happen to women.

All gentlemen in the house i hail! wink

Have you guys ever considered this: Gen. 3:16 ¶ Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

It has a lot to do with why women usually take the 'backstage' and support the men! They should be seen as supporters or helpers!

Now the man must not be lazy too. He must be hardworking and the woamn supporting him in many ways including financially, morally, sexually, just name it,

Romance / Re: Should A Woman Love Her Man More Than God? by cgift(m): 8:38pm On Aug 31, 2008
That is why it is dangerous for a woman to marry an unbelieving man. The believing man wont have any problems with his wife being committed to God in as much as her love is felt strongly at home. If however she marries an unbelieving man, at some point, he would feel she is loosing her relevance because he probably does not share in her belief even if she is trying her best to please him. He will always have one or two things to discredit her except if he is liberal.

Religion also comes to play here as Christians and Muslims obviously have different views to marraige. The Generic Alhaji will likely not place the woman in the same level as a Generic Pastor for obvious reasons. For instance, while the Pastor theoretically is permitted to stay put with his wife even if she is a devil, the Alhaji (theoretically) is justified to "dispell" her for "treasonable reasons" like insulting his Prophet or demeaning his religion.

So, the Alhaji's wife has a stronger reason to love his Al'lah strongly, but the Pastor's wife is at liberty to choose how she loves.

I hope i have not touched a sore point?)
Career / Re: 60% Of Bankers To Lose Their Jobs? by cgift(m): 7:33pm On Aug 31, 2008
This story is not true. Banks are expanding like wildfire. who would do the job? with all them automation, people still work overnight in the office running shifts in many centralised departments. So what are we talking about? Everything cannot be 100% automated. You still need human beings to check things out and ensure things are properly running as planned.

Who wouldl do them marketing? machines? Who would do them personal / private banking services? machines? who would do them presentations and interface with regulators - machines?

last stop, if them 60% percent are to loose their jobs due to non-performance, then be rest assured that the same 60% would find their way back into the same sector just a matter of chaning emloyer thats all! It happened during consolidation. We have more people bankers now than it used to be pre-consolidation! Why? Expansion and increased businesses.

wake up to reality and dont be myopic.
