Is 29th August Wednesday? I don't understand?
They should keep guessing, federal Government think they are the only ones that have monopoly of confusion.

APC and propaganda na 5 and 6, they refuse to address the real issues of concern in Nigeria.

My own fear is that this might lead to a Nationwide shutdown, there was absolutely no way they expected the NLC President who is one of the voice of the masses to have advised the organisers to shun the protest, especially him knowing fully well the severe hardship being faced in the country.

Even a blindman knows what's really happening, we have not had it this bad.

SportsDeficiencies Of Sports Management and Administration In Nigeria by Charly500(op):
DEFICIENCIES OF SPORTS MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION IN NIGERIA

Time and time again our darling nation Nigeria has been faced with several deficiencies in the management of sports, with successive governments finding it difficult in working out a formula to ensure the smooth running of sports administration in the country, an exact case of trying to get different results while using the same method year after year.

Even football which is like a third religion in the country, due to its huge followership has also had its own fair share of scandals and shortcomings in its adminstration. We have had cases of power tussle in the leadership of the Nigerian Football Federation with accusation and counter accusations of corruption which has not helped the image of the round leather game in the country.

A case where football which is the most loved sport in Nigeria is not managed properly, then what is now the fate of other sports like basketball, tennis, rugby, boxing, cricket etc, which some of our young ones are also interested in playing professionally.

Unfortunately, many football and sports academies in Nigeria till date still face challenges such as lack of funds for the regular purchase of items like sports kits for the different players age brackets, sports vitamins, nutritional foods, and first aid equipments, while there is also the issue of securing good training facilities for players which are not readily accessible in most parts of the country.

Basically, the enabling environment for grassroot football and sports academies to thrive has not been there, with so many academies struggling to stay afloat, while others that could not keep up have unfortunately closed down. Fifa football's governing body in their own wisdom and magnanimity in helping to use the power of football in effecting positive change and in addressing challenges faced by underprivileged children and young people within their communities introduced the Fifa Foundation Programme to support non profit organisations and Local projects using football as a tool.

To be honest, the above programme is really a welcome development and a laudable initiative by World's Football Governing Body and I believe this will certainly help in engaging our youths to help them bring the needed positive change to their various communities through football, while shunning all forms of social vices. Unfortunately, majority of the funds dont always get to those that are truly in need of such support, which has negatively affected the growth and development of grassroot football in Nigeria.

In saner climes, to proactive nations, the moment the Olympic torch gets put off, although it signals the end of the olympics, but to them, it marks the beginning of preparation for its next edition, with these countries federations sitting down to analyze both the positives and negatives gotten from their various outings and start find tuning ways in which they can perform better at the next edition, but that is not always the case over here. That is why it is no surpise when we see such proactive nations performing remarkably well when the competition eventually kicks off, having planned for four years extensively to achieve their desired goals. The truth they always say is bitter, but as long as there is continued lack of adequate sports management and administration in Nigeria, we will always be prone to encountering the frequent fiasco we usually witness at Major Tournaments, which only further damages the image of our nation in the eyes of the sporting world.

In a country where the rate of Unemployment, poverty and corruption are extremely on the high side, the odds are practically stacked against an average nigerian trying to pursue a career in sports and trying to represent his or her country in any sports tournament internationally, due to the tendency of him or her being asked to release money before being selected. We have heard similar cases of players of african origins who travelled abroad to pursue their careers and end up representing other countries, pointing accusing fingers at their countries of birth. This only means that those who are often selected are not selected based on their talents but on the size of their pockets.

The average nigerian out there who is a lover of sports in general and who would want to play them professionally only needs an opportunity to showcase their talent and worth to the appropriate quarters, but the lack of enabling environment has continually hindered the progress and development of our young energetic youths, who would have thrived in various areas of sports if they were given the needed encouragement and support.

In my humble opinion, we have to go back to the drawing board and map out ways in which we can encourage and support grassroot football and sports academies in our society, which would engage our youths in their various communities, and also try in bringing programmes sponsored by the government, private organisations and Sports Governing Bodies closer to our people, because the power of sports in uniting people and bringing positive change in our societies can not be over emphasized.

Finally, we should also advocate for adequate education and training in sports management and administration, in order to have capable hands handling the affairs of the management of sports in nigeria, which would improve and broading our knowlegde on various other sports, which will certainly bold well for our future in sports.

Congrats to Argentina and a certain genius of the round leather game which we all love Lionel Messi, another Ballon Dor is already Loading.

Honestly, it was a Classic World Cup Match which had everything you could think about, Mbappe was certainly a joy to watch, the youngster was superb in dragging his team back into the match.

The fairy tale ending most football lovers wanted came to pass in Qatar with Messi Crowned World Champion with Argentina.

Am so happy to be alive to witness lionel messi ply his trade.

Naijaisshitho:
Lol. I said it. One unfortunate person will say this. But I was surprised I didnt see it on the front page. Y'all are very unfortunate and bitter humanbeing. People will narrate their experinces on social media and you unfortunate humanbeing will open mouth only to start telling them to leave UK. Nigerians complain every day on social media and nobody ask anyone to leave Nigeria. If it is good news they are sharing about abroad, you people will start commending oyinbo and atteesting to their good nature. Cant people just say their mind or rant about how they feel? Just because they told you abroad is heaven doesnt mean every fabric of their society is balanced. People there also have concerns and they are allowed to raise it. Ever wondered why people commit suicide?

I am not surprised. Most Nigerians dont even care what their relative abroad is going through. Whether he is depressed, broke, unable to pay rent or even unable to cloth themselves. What they care is his ability to send money home. If you pay a surprise visit to Africa, the first thing they tell you is "you could have just send this money u used to book flight". They dont care about you bro. It is high time African in diaspora start seeing people back home for who they are. Nigerians in Nigeria are the most corrupt set of people. If you even decide to embark on a project back home, they will swindle you of your hard earned money. Which way Nigerians? Which way. You people talk a lot for a country.
Well, when you have a sister in the usa who have lived there for more than 30 years and have three kids who are all doctors, but doesnt want to repay all the effort her own blood sisters and brothers made in the late 80's towards her trip, the promise was to atleast make the effort to try bringing her own siblings one at a time for a chance at a better life for them and their families, but unfortunately nothing has been done in this regard, she has her own house in Los Angeles, California. she is an Administrative Officer in the Education Sector over there and am happy she has so far done well for her self.

Sending $100 and $200 to her siblings every now an then is like N100 billion naira to her, I believe love among siblings should be preached constantly every single day. I wont just be ok with my siblings worshipping me, when am suppose to do the needful by teaching them how to fish, its so unfortunate.

So me on my own making the effort to travel over there should not be a problem to anybody, especially due to our own experience, we all learn alot from our various experiences in life.

I didnt insult you and am a bit suprised by your comment, you are entitled to your own opinion.

As a student, you will find it difficult to even combine study and work and even save enough money. In fact, U.K. is not even ideal for anybody going to study now if you're from a poor background because you'll struggle to pay tuition fee, rent, other bills and you'll need to pay for the post-study also. And you will likely not get a job! So, you either become illegal immigrant or go back to your homecountry.

The jobs that most student do is even saturated now and some employers will pay less because there are many others ready to take on the job.
I believe most of us want to have that chance of being there and experiencing it first hand, the constant manner of discouraging people from seeking for greener pastures for themselves and their families is becoming annoying.

SportsRe: Nigerians Angry At Multichoice GOTV For Failing To Show World Cup by Charly500(m): 3:35pm On Nov 25, 2022
Gotv packages comes with several content like sports especially Soccer for Gotv Max, while Gotv Supa has extra entertainment.

So it was a bit surprising that Gotv Max is not showing the 64 games of the world cup, this is a tournament that comes every four years for Goodness sake, Gotv Max subscribers that have been loyal deserve better than this.

Imagine subscribing for 11 months non stop on Gotv Max and still get to miss watching the full 64 games of Qatar 2022 World Cup just because you didnt upgrade to a package (Gotv Supa) which according to them was not tailor made only for football. I believe the idea is for people to get a taste of Gotv Supa by forcing them because of the world cup, in order for them to start subscribing for the package.

I was upgraded to Gotv Supa earlier in the year, aside watching rok studio channel, there was nothing too special about the package.

Only stingy, broke and struggling men abide by this 50/50 rule.

I have never envisaged nor wished to share financial responsibilities with my wife even when I was single, and I keep praying to God to never allow my situation get to that stage till I sign off from this earth.

Not all couple living abroad do this 50/50, to the best of my knowledge, none of my close friends are doing it with their wives.

Any man that allows such sharing formula in his marriage has laid foundation for failure.

I believe in the traiditional marriage style and the Bible way too. A husband's responsibility is to provide for his wife and kids and even take care of his aged parents plus the needy around and these are my daily guide in life even when I was still struggling with life.

In life, you get what you so much desire without doubt
Unfortunately, thats not the case anymore especially in a country like nigeria where the system is designed to frustrate you every day, we still have hardworking men in nigeria who know the importance of also having supportive wives, as this enables marriages and families to thrive in this our harsh ecomony.

For me, i dont think there should be a particular formula in sharing expenses, but I certainly have a supportive wife and we understand each other and that matters alot.

A wife that tells you that she wants to actually work and earn money to support her man shouldnt not be discouraged, because nothing is certain in this country of ours, a man can lose his job and the wife sustains the home while he searches for a new one.
