I don't think Deeper Life was ever against medical care. It's perhaps the church with the highest number of doctors as members in Nigeria.
There are even clinics at the camp during retreats.
Kumuyi believes in faith healing just like all pentecostals which is understandable.
If you mention churches like CAC that use "omi adura" (prayer water) or Synagogue that uses that their water then I'll agree.
Nothing beyond laying of hands (as commanded in the Bible) is acceptable in Deeper Life, not even the use of olive oil.
I need to go to church one of these days, I don miss am.


NB: Truth is, many people prefer churches where they'll go on Sunday, have their spirits lifted, then come back home very comfortable in their sins.
Most churches these days are like that.
Deeper Life isn't. You either feel remorse and repent or you become rebellious and tag living a life of holiness as "extremism".

Monday, the 22nd day of January, 2018 is a day about a hundred young doctors will not forget in a hurry as it was when they took the pledge to become what they'd worked hard for over the past seven years (eight or nine years for some). Perhaps the one who will savour this memory the most is the star of that day, Jonathan Chukwunonso Manulu who was the best graduating doctor.
People could not hold their excitement and palpable admiration as the young man kept going back for award after award. It was a day of joy for "Jona" who had worked so hard for everything he got. In the words of a colleague Dr Solomon Idokoko, "Jona don already define himself from 100 level. Him don too work for this thing."
Dr Manulu is presently undergoing his mandatory one year housemanship in Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital. We wish him more success and pray he gets to where he has the potential to in life.

I was wrong, he doesn't produce "Rubbing Minds" but he hosts two shows on Ebony Life TV too.
Btw a TV production company is different from a TV station although stations frequently produce their own programmes. Ben Murray-Bruce owns Silverbird TV rather.
