For a startup, you need to build a portfolio, so right now, you should forget profit and start begging people to plan their events free of charge.

My first ever solo event was from Nairaland, told her upfront that I was new but will do it free so she has nothing to loose. So impressed were they, that I got a fat cheque, I was not expecting and lots of referrals. 3years later, she still thanks me!

My brother, I feel you. I just remembered June 24th when we were expecting our final MBBS result to be pasted. Even though, I had already been told that I passed, I needed to see it on the board. where are they paying all that amount? maybe in another country not Nigeria! well I don't know of other networks but my project mate that works at mtn customer care in ilorin collect less that 100k. so what are u tell us? how much are they paying oil workers? a contract staff with shell collects 250k. To cut expenses now most companies no longer take permanent worker.
