BreconHills: Everybody knows that even with approval nobody comes back to check if you built using the right quality. Approving a three storey building is different to ensuring that it has the required strength.
LASG is now requiring approvals to come with 3D diagrams and video.
Build quality is the real issue. The pictures I saw of some of those shops here on NL were scary: exposed iron rods etc. You answered my question. Thanks |

clinician2x: Aptly put. But I'm not a fool. I picked my voters card, went to that ballot and voted Peter obi because I know that Peter obi will not vote 25bn naira for accommodation for lawmakers when he just removed subsidy on fuel which the miserable life of hundreds of millions of people depend on.
I am not a fool because I know that Peter will thrash whatever organization, decree and promulgation seeking to increase salaries of elected office holders by not 20, not 50, not 70, not even 100 but by 114%.
I am not a fool, I am working very hard to leave Nigeria and to never return. Ok chief. But one thing that is certain is that Peter Obi didn't really make the state he governed what he promises Nigeria. To me, he is like every other politician. |

AntiMarxist: A building constructed over 50ys ago with near zero maintanace and illegal extensions which is sinking on its own additional weight ? Exposed rusting rebar reinforcement . Crumbling supports . Rotted roofing and all plus dangerous electric wiring ?
The govt had every right to demolish any property that has become unfit and unsafe even if it was duly approved by same authorities.
Can you honestly say these buildings are in their exact state when they were approved by the govt ?
If anything the illegal extensions , shoddy renovations are what led to their current state.
The govt is right to demolish any building that has breached their safety codes. Did you understand what I meant by town planners? Anyways, I'm not used to responding to tribalists. |

Raskimonojendor: Buildings are being demolished for various reasons. Faulty structures, lack of building permits e.t.c
There were pictures of some of those demolished in Alaba. They were in a bad shape. (See picture below).
The ones demolished around the airports sometime in April did not have building permits but the owners built the structures anyway after buying land from Omo onile. Now this is a good reason. Also, it still doesn't invalidate the fact that most town planners approve whatever whatever when money is involved. This isn't only a case of Lagos State. I was an intern in a town planning office so I know what I talk about. |

This is the kind of shoddy investment they claim is how they now own Lagos with. I mean were they not granted approval by Lagos State Town Planners? You can't really build structures without approval. And mind you, this is not a tribal thing so if you really cannot respond beyond tribal talks, it's safer not to respond. |

Fingers crossed..
All the policies thus far have been a drop in the bucket when it comes to reducing poverty.
During Jona's administration, when the exchange rate was ₦119 to a dollar, all hell broke loose. Satan had to rent a place in the outskirts of hell. Now it costs an arm and a leg to buy fuel and we call it a renewed hope! Wow! We are really developing backwards! The ironies in the “change“ they preached were real!
I told y’all that it shouldn't be all about tribalism during elections but every tribes went for na my brother, na my brother. Now see am, your brother no give a flying f about you im (unknown abi adopted) brother. Joke on you. Lol.
I heard they were selling a new lease on life but the penury-stricken was only mandated to stand on existing mandates gidigban while other are looking for stolen mandates. Are you still standing abi you say make you sit down small? 😁 There's a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel for the corrupt political class....while for the masses? Dem never see torch sef.
No dice. Our federalism, which was already burning a hole in our pockets, has now gone and added insult to injury by giving a whopping 100% raise to the executives and judiciary, not to mention a selected few legislators who were also included in the gravy train. The subsidy removal came without any backup plan such as raising the minimum wage, leaving us high and dry.
We are fools. We are like pawns always watching being checkmated. We are puppets. We are placed in the stage light for the bourgeoisies to merry and have a good day! Do we have a choice? Nay! We are educated but yet illiterate. I am happy to be a fool too; a fool who recognised the tomfoolery. Some grew wise in their foolishness. They are happy they are fools who can fool other fools. A tale of many fools fighting for those who fool them! Dear foolish Mufasa!😁
My suggestion is an increment of the minimum wage. Abi? Since we are all in for this death sentence of a country! Ngwa, fair Chatinent, pray tell! 😊 The minimum wage should be a fair shake, not chicken feed. It should be a decent chunk of change, not peanuts. It's time to pay people what they're worth, not shortchange them. A minimum wage of ₦150k would be a game-changer, not small potatoes of ₦30k. Who even pay!
While the masses? Still suffering and keep shouting "on your mandate I stand gidigban" while suffering and searching for Twitter giveaways. Keep on standing gidigban and swallow the issues you have when Nigeria happens to you, my good man.
I just also remembered Fela. Now think of this...if by then Fela was preaching against bad governance...I mean then ooo...some 25 years ago, now imagine yourself shouting "on your mandate I stand gidigban" and how not-mad people see you. 😁 Joke on me.
Even if you decide to be wicked, be wicked responsibly naw. Which one bi say you wicked and you wan wicked beautiful unborn kids of yours?
Well...
It seems that the ongoing push for a particular candidate in Nigeria based on tribal affiliations is bearing rotten fruit for the nation when the tree hasn't even started growing.
The truth is all they said were lies. I just discovered that you and I will suffer together, my good man.

REALretep: The lion is not necessarily the strongest in the animal kingdom but it's roar scares the shit out of every living animal. It's not called the king of the jungle for nothing. All these animals will lose their courage at the roar of a lion especially that of an angry lion. The anaconda stands no chance here. Without the roar and the fright it causes, the lion may not win in the fight especially with the bear as it is the heaviest animal here. The gorilla may not also survive a fight with the bear
Grizzly bear and gorrilla run from a lion's roar? Lol. The grizzly bear doesn't run from anything bro....even from gunshots. |

sadiqabuch: Initially, I never wanted to comment, but.....
In a hypothetical fight between an African lion, a silverback gorilla, a grizzly bear, and an anaconda, it is important to note that such scenarios are purely theoretical and should not be encouraged in real life. However, I can provide some information about the capabilities and characteristics of each animal.
African Lion: Lions are apex predators and known for their strength, agility, and hunting skills. They have sharp claws, powerful jaws, and a muscular build. They are highly skilled hunters and often work in prides to bring down large prey. In a one-on-one encounter, a lion would have a significant advantage over most animals.
Silverback Gorilla: Silverback gorillas are the largest and strongest members of the gorilla species. They possess immense physical power, with long arms and sharp canines. Gorillas are known for their intelligence and ability to defend themselves and their families. While they primarily use displays of aggression and dominance to deter threats, a silverback gorilla can be formidable in a fight due to its size and strength.
Grizzly Bear: Grizzly bears are large and powerful creatures, with sharp claws and a strong bite. They are highly territorial and can be aggressive when provoked. Grizzly bears have immense strength and can take down large prey. Their size and powerful physical attributes make them formidable opponents.
Anaconda: Anacondas are the largest snakes in the world, known for their constricting abilities. They are non-venomous and rely on ambush tactics to capture their prey. Anacondas have a strong muscular body that allows them to overpower and constrict their victims, suffocating them in the process.
In a direct confrontation between these animals, it is challenging to determine a clear winner, as several factors would come into play, such as size, agility, natural weapons, and tactics used. Additionally, these animals inhabit different regions and ecosystems, so encounters between them are highly unlikely in nature.
Overall, it is important to respect and appreciate the unique characteristics and habitats of these animals rather than promoting or speculating about fights between them. This is clearly ChatGPT4. |
Forum Games › Re: Logically Who Would Come Out Alive From These Four? by chatinent: 8:54am On Jun 21, 2023 |
The snake is nonvenomous and will be the one to fall first. It would not be able to hold its own in a combat with any of them.
The lion is the most intelligent animal, but it is unfortunate that it cannot face this conquest unless it is done so one-on-one... and it will be very tough to win over either the grizzly bear or the gorilla.
My guess is that the gorilla will take on the grizzly bear in this fight. Although the gorilla is incredibly strong and nimble, you should not underestimate the power of a grizzly bear in a fair fight.
I can see that the lion is considering going for the neck, but an adult gorilla does not have a neck that can be bit if it is standing. The bite force of a gorilla is almost twice as powerful as that of a lion. If this turns out to be a contest of biting, the gorilla has a better chance of defeating the lion. The lion, on the other hand, is a carnivore that has claws and a body structure that are both adapted for hunting. Where does one stand with the gorilla? Its quickness and vicious charge have the ability to frighten large creatures. The lion takes great satisfaction in its high IQ and its ability to launch back assaults, but when they fail to kill their prey with their first attack, they are poor hunters. It is a victory for it if it can land the first hit on the gorrilla. However, if it fails, that will be the end of it.
On the other side, the girzzly is a hybrid animal that combines characteristics of the gorilla and the lion: fierce, unstoppable, stronger, agile, and deadlier. In my opinion, the bear should come out on top in a group first.
The gorrilla wasn't build to hunt like the other two. Its canines and strength is just for defense. But if the gorrilla uses punches and its damaging bite force on the grizzly... maybe from behind...irrespective of its tough skin, it could score points and emerge victorious in a 40/100 chance. You'll understand better if you stop using the film Kingkong with the reality.
But of course, whichever wins will remain on life support for a month or two. |
