So I went for ANC today and the dr. that attended to me said my baby is measuring ahead, and asked me to do a fasting blood sugar test, meanwhile at my last clinic, I was informed I will do pelvimetry at 36wks due to my previous CS history, so my question is now that they are already suspecting a big baby, do I have to do the pelvimetry again? I don't want to spend money doing pelvimetry and still end up with CS, let me just save the money for part of my cs fee, pls experienced mamas, help me with your inputs.

Thanks, it was 138/96 last saturday, the doctor said we should be watchful, but its still ok, my first pregnancy i was on 190/ 120 or so, I just hrd the doctor exclaim so loudly and request for immediate admission, with 2 big vial of magsuf injected instantly, was glad I strolled in to complain about my 3 days old toothache that year, only God knows what would have happened to me.

Pls what can I do about this thing protruding from my anus, it's painful to sit on my but, no bleeding from the anus sha, other mama that have experienced this should also put mouth o, we are 29wks.
kaffy4bill:
Hi mama, how are you and the little one doing?

I take it that you are talking about pregnancy induced hypertension.(PIH)

For you not to be given any medication for it so far, it must be the mild one and that’s good news.

I don’t know about the corn silk and guava leaves for the management but most times PIH resolves after delivery and the swelling goes down gradually.

Please ensure you eat healthy, rest well( with great emphasis), monitor the blood pressure closely and your urine output too.
Don’t hesitate to ask for help, don’t feel guilty about it and talk to your provider in case of any uncertainty.

My post today on my IG page is on PIH, kindly check it out.

HealthRe: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by cheeketo(f): 10:50am On Aug 26, 2020
It wasnt a condition present during my early stage, in fact it was discovered the week i put to bed, since its was almost my due date, i was admitted and monitored, but the BP and odema refused to go after 3 days on admission, hence I was scheduled for an induction which later failed after 2 days of labour, finally had my baby through emergency cs,
So for this journey am always alarmed by BP issue, I haven't been given any medication for it so far, but I occasionally boil and drink corn silk and guava leaves, it help with the feet swelling and controls the Bp too.

Cappo sorry o, I thought it's only me with this small bump thing o, when am not a ftm.
Had this terrible pelvic pain last week, it got worse on Saturday as I could barely walk or stand, sit or try to stand from a sitting position, in fact anything that requires moving my legs ends up in pain, I began to wonder if it not too early for baby to engage the pelvic region.
Had to run to the hospital when additional symptoms like malaria started towards evening, terrible headache, joint pain and temperature. I was given injection and follow up drugs, including antibiotics, funny enough malaria test came out negative, but BP was 138/96, guess the reason for all those symptoms, and with a history of preelemcia, I was a bit scared.
Taking enough rest and getting better.

Who else doesn't have that black line on their stomachs at 29 weeks, mine just started showing faintly last week o, this pregnancy is so different from my first ehn.
ToyosiR:
Congratulations to all August Momma.

I hope our september Mama's too are prepared. We wish you all a successful delivery.

Anyway, this pregnancy seems like i have a smaller bumps unlike my previous two pregnancy, though i am enjoying it sha.

OK, thanks, those training school you listed are quite pricy o
[Qquote author=fash78 post=92713498]

Well not compulsory but it is a plus. One of my two sisters actually joined red cross before she applied for her nanny visa. She also completed her first aid and CPR training with Red Cross. Did it help? Probably yes because her visa was approved.
I have seen other folks who got their nanny work permit approved without being a member of red cross so I don't think it really matters.
What matters is getting your First Aid / CPR training done with a reputable organization and making sure you include your training certificate in your work permit / PR application.
TravelRe: Home Child Care Provider Pilot Canada Program For Nigerians by cheeketo(f): 11:26am On Aug 11, 2020
Did your sister have to register with Red Cross or get any certification from them?
fash78:
For everyone that has reached out to me with this same question/request, my response is no I can't help to look for employers who need nanny. Your best bet is to look for someone you know in Canada (families or friends) who need child care services or know someone who does.

Interested, pls help me.
[Wequote author=fash78 post=92490368]I have done this for two of my sisters. One is already Canadian PR under the old live in caregiver path. Mt second sister's application is in progress under the new nanny path which will qualify her for open work permit and Canadian PR after 2 years. I can help to answer questions for those who are interested in doing this having gone through the old process and the new process.
These are some critical points for success:
1. You must have someone Canadian PR or Citizen who is qualified and willing to employ you as a nanny.
2. You must have Language tests results showing a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 or equivalent.
3. You must have one year of Canadian post-secondary education or the foreign equivalent;
4. Proven experience as a nanny
5. Show that you have qualification and training in childcare including Firstaid, CPR.

Please review this link from IRCC on the process for home childcare provider application:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/hire-foreign-worker/in-home-caregiver.html
You can also review the forum below. You will be able to read about this program and experience of people who have applied world wide.

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/home-childcare-provider-pilot-2019.642381/page-122

In my opinion, this is the easiest way for folks to help their family and friends to come to Canada so far they are willing to sacrifice 2 years of working as a nanny.
So for anyone interested let me know how I can help.
Good morning mamas, please o I need your opinion on this. I did a scan yesterday according to the scan result the EFBW is 272g at 23weeks. Is the baby not supposed to be bigger than that. I don't understand. Am still waiting for response. Am a FTM
I will advice you use a chart on Google, mine was 628g at 23 weeks, about 2wks ago, if the scan didn't state any abnormalities, then you don't need to worry, just pack on more calories in your diet

Nice job you did on your blog, I am a follower. I want to ask if an accompanying spouse need to to IELTS and do ECA too. Thanks.
Twinkleberyl:
Firstly, to get into Canada to work as a caregiver, you have 2 options:
1. Work outside the province of Quebec:
The only way here if you are applying from outside Canada is through the home child care or home support worker immigration pilot. Requires: ielts clb 5, 1 year post secondary and a job offer. No LMIA required. Live in may not be neccessary. You can arrive Canada with your family

2. Work in the province of quebec;
The only way here is through the temporary foreign worker program for live in caregiver and it requires that your employer submits an LMIA to hire you. Requires 9 months caregiver training or 1 year paid caregiver work experience. You may not be able to arrive Canada with your family because all you will be getting is a temporary work permit that will expire in 2 years and you will need to show that you have something or someone that ties you back to your home country or convice the Visa officer that you will return back to your country at the expiration of your work permit. Though its possible to extend it or apply for permanent residence in Quebec after at least 1 year of working in Canada.
Live in may not be mandatory.

If an employer wants to sponsor or pay for your relocation costs, they will tell you or it will be spelt out in the job contract.
Live in arrangement for a caregiver arriving with family...you may have to find out from your employer what type of arrangement they have for you...cos it could be just a room in their house or a basement apartment. But its something your employer has to clarify themself.
TravelRe: Home Child Care Provider Pilot Canada Program For Nigerians by cheeketo(f): 8:21pm On Jul 22, 2020
I agree with you, I am also considering submitting mine soon, but I have a few questions, does an accompanying spouse need to write IELTS and do ECA? I didn't seem to find any info of that nature on Canada website, that is why am asking someone that has started their application already. Thanks
Darasimis:
I believe this a good and alternative route for Nigerians. Am working toward submitting application in January 2020 by God's grace. I pray it worked out.

Hi,

For Guide on Canada Study Visa Application,
Visit page 1 & 29

For Master's Admission guide, go to page 112, u will get everything there into to

And Its better you go for a course related to your former degrees for career progression reason, u don't need to start all over

Since u have a PGD , Master should be the next line of ACTION for you but if its your HND u want to use to come to CANADA, then a Post Graduate Diploma / Post Graduate Certificate is ur best SHOT
which means,
u won't be mentioning your PGD for that , cos when u want to apply for a Study Visa, u would have to show to the VISA OFFICER what u have been doing during the 1-2 years PGD u didn't mention

I stand to be corrected on this

See links for
- School offering Masters in Mass Comm. related program

https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Mass+Communication&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

- Schools offering Masters in International Relations Related Program

https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=International+relations&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

U talked about your interest in M.PH, though I don't know if it's required to have Medicine/Medical/science background to do M.PH, but at the mention of the Public' beside that health' I guess it involves improving peoples health through awareness, policy, and research, which ur Mass comm. Degree and International Relation PGD should satisfy

So u can check the link below aswell for :
- Schools offering Masters in Public Health programs

https://www.universitystudy.ca/search-programs/?k=Public+health&program_level_merged=Master%27s+degree&program_language=ENGLISH

After assessing all of this options, u should arrive at a Program that suits u and u feel u can do well in

- DO Await a response for your last question on "whether to travel with ur family or not"
&
Ask questions, gurus in house & members
in this thread (based on their experience & encounter) will respond

All da best ma'am!!!
Good day all, pls I need a thorough explanation on how to go about applying for a student visa in Canada, I have been following threads on this topic but I don't understand anything.
I have HND mass communication, PGD international Relations, what can I study? Must it be related to the certificates I have already? I am married with 2 kids, can student visa allow me travel with my family or do I have to go alone? So many questions, I just need a guide, pls help me, I plan to write IELTS exam soon with my spouse.
