@topic. Mikel came into camp, trained very well and passed his coopa test. If Emenalo thinks Mikel was bound and cajoled to play when he didn't feel up to playing, then he has another think coming. He should just shut up and not make a fool out of himself. For reasons I can't put my finger on, Mikel was just dross on the day and that is that!@Ifedisky, what a wonderful conclussion? what do u have to say to the post which said, mikel snubs nigeria bcs of soar throat? why don't u add in ur conclussion that mikel tried his best and deserve no blames? football and politics must be seperated for nigerian football to come back to life. essien got injured while playing for ghana and had to go back to england for the best of treatment. how on earth will chelsea doctor say mikel was not fit and he was left out for the game against spurs and nigeria insisted that her doctor must see mikel first. i hope it is this same nigerian doctor that proved mikel ok? if u feel nigeria has doctors, why is it that all our leaders run out of nigeria whenever they need medical attention? if mikel died in the course of that game(God forbid) it is this same nigerians that will blame him for playing when he knows that he is sick. did u read commentaries from the football authorities before the match on the issue of mikel not honouring that invitation? |

This topic is NOT about Mikel earning a good living from his career and taking care of his family, I personally dont have a problem with that as I earn a VERY good living too! Everybody’s calling cannot be football. However, the last time I met Mikel in 2005 I contributed substantially for the hosting of the NFA delegation and the Flying Eagles team after the 2005 final in Utrecht, Holland. Ibrahim Galadinma (former NFA chairman), Rafiu Ladipo and Samson Siasia can confirm that.Maitema, could u pls let us know the details of ur hosting galadimma and other delegates in holland. i ask bcs nigeria budgeted for their stay in holland hence u taking care of them calls for a refund from the group. again, it is important you tell us ur details for varification purposes. in holland, mikel was not the only nigerian player who made things happen, have u asked after the fate of the other players? to what extent can u trace the football backwardness of nigeria? was nigerian football doing very well till the inclussion of mikel? how do u define envy and jealousness? what do u think a jealous and envy man can do? |

Wow! for the first time in my nairaland life, i have decided to follow the crowd. the hearam and doam shld be concentrating of how best to use prof. iwu in 2011. he shld be talking about how pdp will rule nigeria forever and ever. he shld look out for the best ways to further take nigeria back to early 30s. how on earth can all these elected presidents have meeting with a selected president? is he not feeling the heat of what happened to his oga(obj) in london? someone, somewhere can somehow make yar adua to understand that g20 is for presidents from countries where there is electricity and security going to another country with same. how can a man from the dark world (nigeria) go to such meeting. yar adua is supposed to be used to darkness, poverty, hardship, lack of security, fraud and embezzlement at high and low places. i told ppl that obama is going to be more radical than bush and from the way he talks, idiot like yar adua will soon begin to feel the heat. with pdp and these crop of criminals, nigeria has to wait till they form G 1 million as that is when they will get opportunity to attend meetings with such action men like brown, obama and sarkozy. by the way, will yar adua leave ekiti election to attend g20? the nigerian london students made mistake of using eggs and tomatoes on obj. every goliat needs stone and as such, nigerians abroad shld learn to always have their stones in waiting for our leaders outside nigeria so that they will always return with plasters and bandage as the price they have to pay for making us slaves all over the world despite the rich kingdom God created us into. |

If we sack him who do we put there, anyone?Jarus, sacking him is one thing, who is next is another thing and if possible, a more important issue. maybe sacking him will bring back onigbinde or obj can come and take over the national team as a coach so nigerians shld be mindful of who is next before taking any action. again, we have to think about the clauses of the contract. it is assumed that his employees must have given him target. who knows if not allowing the eagles to be defeated is a condition so a draw is a good dame under such contracts. there are some clauses in contracts like this that can put the coach in a better position if sacked than when he maintains his job. look at the chelsea sacking of mourinho. |

Speculations, shit talks, blind talks are one of the characteristics of an average nigerian. Why crucify mikel and martins because the match ended in a goal less draw? what is the system doing to help nigerian football? we know what our problems are but just because of the greedy people sitting on that round table making football decisions chose to turn a blind eye to the truth. Why NFA keep bringing back amodu after series of failed attempts? this is capital bribery and corruption that is killing our football today. these guys fail and all of a sudden, they find their way up to taking thesame job they've failed in archieving more than 10 times. Mikel and martins may not have lived up to expectation in that match but what's a job of a coach? i mean a bloody one like amodu. doesn't he have the right to observe individual performance and the teams performance as a whole and make substitutions? Mikel needs to be giving credit for being a regular 11 at chelsea but unfortunately himself and the fellow super eagles dont show enough commitment when it comes to the national side maybe it is a nigeria thingblacksta, i can see u coming out of ur shell. if one looks at nigerian football back to the days of abacha when instructions and directives were given directly to the coaches from aso rock and compare it to these days when our football have been used to compensate political thugs, it will be easy to say why we are always going backward. it will be a perfect madness to put all the problems of nigerian football on a single and small boy in the name of mikel. the only group who are trying on their own to do well are the younger ones who are struglling to come to the lime light. if u like, give ten siasia the super eagles, it will not change anything because the govt is no longer interested in this game that gives joy to almost every nigerian. the politics in the game is discouraging and if we want to be truthful here, all the members of the team are not given upto 70 percent to the team and do u blame them? how did the super eagle come back from egypt? how many friendly matches are been organised for these boys to understand each other? in everything u do, motivation is very very important. look at the days of orji uzor kalu in abia state, eyinmba became the first nigerian side to win the african club champions league and two straight times. look back to the days of abacha and see how many cups we won and compare it to other govts. somebody must be ready to motivate these guys. |

good news, bolivia 6 - argentina 1. i am suspecting mikel is the problem because he was not playing well. @chidichrissafex101, i mentioned those name bcs one monkey said mikel was going to do well at man uif he went there so i was to remind the monkey that there is no guarantee as someother players have not be doing well at man u too. i hope u are aware that players can also play below par in man u? we are all expecting manucho to start playing in that position mikel was supposed to play but he has just been sent on loan. while a player is young, he can be thinking of how many trophies but when he becomes old, those trophies will remain in the club's shelves and while goes back to his country. today, we all know how many trophies okocha won in all his life yet, he will remain comfortable till the end of his life i mean financially. mikel is a nigerian from a poor background and has nothing to do with club's trophies since these trophies will not put food on the family's table. every professional footballer, plays where he gets enough funds at the end of the day. to me, mikel has nothing to regret because he is not doing badly for himself. he is a fine boy, too much money, playing with a big club, putting his family in the comfort zone. what are we regreting for a man who is not regreting? who knows next month manchester city may come calling and we will come back here to discuss as women that we are while real men remain in the war front. . . . wondering If I wouldn't have done better than JMO in that match. I am also aware of the brouhaha John Shittu came to cause in Rotterdam (Holland) between two local archrival clubs all in the name of managing (SELLING) Nigerian players. He sold to one club and then said no I meant to sell to the other club! This happened after Mikel’s Lyn-Man U-Chelsea debacle. If you are an authority in football as you claim you should have an inkling of what I am saying, the player and clubs in question.
