GH had to do what he did to save our players for tuesday against riverfool.
all the same, bolton had riverfool to thank otherwise, chelsea would have ended the game on 10 - 0.
worst come to worst, chelsea smiled away with 3 miximum points.
am thinking what will happen in epl if riverfool and man u go out of cpl this week.

which of the etuhus?

there is dickson etuhu and there is kelvin etuhu. one is playing for man city while the other is playing for fulham.
they face each other yesterday.

it will be fun having two etuhus and two uches in the super eagles even if we no qualify.

if yar adua have ears, let him hear.
the problem is not yar adua but the man who brought him.
that farmer who brought yar adua and pdp are not at rest. they are seriously doing what they can do to bring nigeria down.
somebody shld write to the farmer to leave nigeria alone. he has tried as a millitary president and as a civilian president, what is the need for chairman board of trustees. he shld stay away from nigerian politics so that this boat called nigeria can move.

Politics › Re: Rebrand Death First Before Rebranding Nigeria! by chidichris(m): 8:56am On Apr 13, 2009
Bob marley said: he who fights and run lives to fight another day.
brave soldiers are those who come back from the war front and not those who died trying to kill everybody.
bola ige, dele giwa, saro wiwa, funsho williams and a very long lists of those who did not want to be called cowards and they are later till date without trace.
ojukwu of biafra represent a coward in the nigerian setting but the truth today remains that those who fight and run away are back to fight for another day.
many of us calling for action are very far away from nigeria asking ppl at home to go die to make nigeria good for them to come back home. leadership by example shld be the name of the game. somebody, somewhere and somehow must lead this move and who is ready.
those who shout cowards! cowards!! are the real coward. the people of odi and one other community in benue and killed in thousands and nothing happened till date. those who live abroad shld be calling on UN to visit the odi massacre rather they are bussy calling ppl at home who want to run away cowards.
those of u who are not cowards shld come home and show us how to lead the way.
my candid advise is that if anyone finds a way out, he must use that. devil is at work here and as long as this is their time, there is nothing anyone can do other than continious prayers. every problem has expiry date hence God's intervention is all we need from the strong grip s of the die hard criminals who are too desperate in the inordinate ambitions to have everything to themselves.
imagine obj on bbc hard talk, he was going to fight the guy interviewing him. bring such scene to nigeria and imagine what such venom will result to. the mind set of these so called leaders of ours are so dark that any move against them will lead u to death without notice hence a fowl killed on an easter day will have more values than u.
the first step for this rebranding will be God rebranding aso rock and its occupants.

it is a constitutional thing here.
obj spreading money (our naira) is against the constitution.

Oh!! How convenient for the FG!

We will now divert our attention to those accused of supposedly plotting to sabotage power "generation" now, forgetting that this is the same FG that has put its iron foot in the way of progress in the same area, for the past 2 or so years now.
@kobojunkie,
on a different topic' Re: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Their Leaders , u supported the poster and u have the following to say, @Jamace, can I ask that you actually read what is up there ? The dude makes it clear that he believes NIGERIANS are to blame. If you say that the leaders are to blame, then that means Nigerians are a bunch of COWARDS,and I hope you can see how their cowardice poses a problem.

EXACTLY!! That is the problem with Nigerians. TOO afraid to step up to take back power but willing to sit back and blame the few( about a couple thousand) men, each with one head, and from the same Nigeria, for the woes of over 140 million. COWARDICE and nothing more!

kobojunkie,
with your position on this topic here, it is like you have joined the millions of cowards in nigeria? is it possible that you have changed your mind? why are u blaming the leaders here? was your arguement on the other topic just to argue? do u have anything to say in reconcillation of ur two different position on the two topics?

@topic,
the pdp led govt has done nothing but to prove to nigerians how unready they were to lead nigeria. look back at yar adua and jonathan goodluck, both men were not in any manner redy to rule nigeria. the only man nigerians will blame in the present situation is that man who forced these men on us as well as forced us on these men.
what i do not know as a person is what these guys are still doing in aso rock. they lack everything a leader shld have.
we are victims of obj's madness that resulted in our refusal of third term.
they are only waming up for second tenure hence the need to buy time.
Politics › Re: Rebrand Death First Before Rebranding Nigeria! by chidichris(m): 12:39pm On Apr 12, 2009
i am not concerned about the pdp led decieving phrases. my worries are more on the much respected Dora who nigerians had enough respect for in the past. it is very unfortunate that she got involved the thugs in power.
is making tony annenih the npa chairman a part of the rebranding? is backwardness in our power supply part of the rebranding? won't they rebrand our roads before rebranding nig? what abut our security?
dora shld look back to more pressing issues that have to do with the lives of a common nigerian. she shld be talking about how to make nigeria a conducive place to live before messing herself up at the international scene in her pusuit of rebranding nigeria on the pages of the newspapers.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Obama Breaks Tradition by chidichris(m): 11:50am On Apr 12, 2009
Sartorius,
Dont you think the so called conservatives are more concerned about job losses and the economy than Obama prostrating for the Saudi king.

If sweeping the Kings floor would bring back economic prosperity that Americans crave for then so be it.

Bush BS everyone and he got the country into the worst economic situation since the great Depression
Dayokanu,
in every road construction site, there is always a bulldozzer before a grader. american politics if you have been following it, it is always about one party coming to clear the road while the other come in to pick the fruits of their labour.
there was a bush before clinton and there was a bush after clinton.
what obama is doing now are exactly what clinton did. trying to make friends with everybody even known enemies and that will always ut more money in their purse.

in either case, nigerians have shown how concerned they about usa more than nigeria. the yorubas go as far as laying down for elders yet, if anyone must condem bush, let him first of all comend him for the best election in the history of the world that saw a black man into the white house.
the actions of obama will only be compared with that of bush at the end of his tenure. you can start with peace and end up with war and u can start with war and end up with peace.
Politics › Re: Nuhu Ribadu Speaks From Abroad: ‘corruption Kicked Me Out Of Nigeria’ by chidichris(m): 11:04am On Apr 12, 2009
if i have my way, i will like to let ribadu know that not all nigerians are fools. he must know that all of us cannot fall for his madness. he is a quality deciet.
he was fighting corruption in an administration that marked the highest level of corruption in the history of nigeria.
ribadu was screening the candidates for the last election in nigeria and we all know the outcome of that election.
i lost interests in his work when he made us to believe abacha is the only corrupt former president of nigeria - that was selective.
during his time, terrorists like andy and chris uba were at their peak, adedidu was on rampage, tony annenih was a king maker, bode george was in the gang, borrishade was in the team, fani kayode was patrotic, iyabo obasanjo was not doing bad. during his time also, the pdtf joint account was in use until the fall out between obj and atiku over third term and atiku's inordinate ambition to rule nigeria hence the later was made a criminal while obj was crowned a living saint.
during his time, nigeria witnessed the illegal sales of all govt properties ranging from lands, houses, oil wells, nnpc, npa, and a host of other property.
how did a common nigerian bnefit from the so called war on corruption in nigeria?
ribadu must know that his well fought war that saw us retrieve a lot of funds fom the abachas and other corrupt leaders was not enough to give us good roads, electricity, security, clean water just to mention but a few. ribadu a saint and corruption killer shld also understand that bola ige, funsho williams and host of other politicians died without traces. he must understand that we all know his position on the case of andy uba money laundary case in the usa via the presidential jet. we are all aware that another important man like him in the name of el rufai with whom he was doing good to nigerians is also in the uk after such a wonderful work.
it is obvious that yar adua and obj had understanding on how to threat obj's boys hence the need for them to leave peacefully to reduce the preasure.
ribadu shld enjoy his loots especially with his boss so much arround in the leadership\criminal gang.
Politics › Re: Yar'adua Confesses: 'I Can't Sleep Over Power Situation' by chidichris(m): 10:23am On Apr 12, 2009
If this man actually said that, then he is an idiot!

This is almost 24 months afterwards and this is what he gives those who hired him to get the job done?
Kobojunkie,
i am happy to see u again. my worry now is that you have joined the other complaining nigerians. talking about sleeping, many of us have been sleeping and are justing waking up like yar adua and many are still sleeping so waking up will be in God's hands.

You can't build new hydroelectric dams, etc in 24 months.  And the demand increases every day, so by the time they have enough power to supply current demand, the demand may have doubled.  Forget about NEPA, it's just not going to work.  Let's privatize it and let entrepreneurs have a go at the problem.
seun(m),
jeruselem was not buit in a day but no one has ever said how long it took to build jeruselem. as long as jeruslem was built, there must have been a time frame.
24 months not enough, then how long will be enough. remember obj past through this stage when many said 24 months was not enough and at the end of the day 24 X 4 was not enough hence the need for third term.
if you make population increase a case here, it will be good to believe that countries with steady power supply had operation stop production in their population while the work was on.

@topic,
yar adua sleeps comfortably. he has no interests in fixing our power supply so far because that has been the campeign topic of pdp since inception so fixing it now will be a minus to them. they have other areas of much interests like remaining in power for 1000 years, making sure they appoint the inec chairman, covering the criminal records of their top members.
i consider it very useless suggesting a solution to these criminals because they all know the solutions.
we are practically loosing all the international companies in nigeria bcs of power supply, security and bad roads yet yar adua is not sleeping.
if power supply is not possible in  24 months, what of our roads?
what happens to our security?
the pdp we know is another name for corruption and aso rock is playing host to nigeria's top criminals hence no hope for us.
if for real, yar adua has lost ideas in how to move the country forward as he promised in his campeign days, it will be a gentle thing doing to resign.

It's all about patriotism.
EASTBAY,
without wasting much time, how patrotic are as a person?
how are u representing nigeria?
do u believe that when there is a dirt in ur eyes, u cannot remove another man's dirt?
could u please name one nigerian that is patrotic.
if mikel is not patrotic by honouring invitation and playing for nigeria even when he is sick, then patrotism must have a different meaning from what english dictionaries have.
could u pls explain to me why mikel among millions of nigerian players is always on the lips of everybody?

Mikel has not helped himself over time,
and who made u a judge over his life? are his parents? are u in any way related to mikel? are his parents complaining? why do u take drugs for another person's headache? in which aspect of life are u better than mikel? how have u been helping urself, ur family, ur state and nigeria as a whole?

mikel as a man, has done very well in his field that he is today enjoying an international recognition by the highest authority in the field. he at his age has such influence that nigerian president knows him by his name so where are u even in the gossip kingdom? even if u are an armed robber, u are not doing well in ur field. what do u call not helping himself? no matter how cow purge, it can never be as small as a goat. that guy that is not doing well can never come low as ur family multiply by 1000.
why are u allowing envy and jealous to overtake ur sense of reasoning? if he stops so far today, he has played with and against the biggest names in the world football and that is what u call not helping himself.

maybe, the criminal politicians we have here in nigeria are patrotic and they are helping themselves.
maybe, all the lagos born throway are patrotic and helping themselves.
how can a no body come out to condem a super star? is it not another way of insulting ur god?

some sins are forgiveable while some are not.
if u are born nigeria, grow in nigeria and die here, your soul will not forgive you.
from the way u reason, i can feel your situation.
do one thing, take a step of faith, break the york, take a trip, even if it to cotonou. spend a night there, come back and ur life will never be the same and your will begin to reason well again. do u think all these politicians that will run to abroad for any slightest reason are fools. no they are no. if u are in nigeria, u can feel the heat of hell.
please do not be an enemy to urself. help urself.
if i have my ways, nigeria can only be in a G-1 million meeting.

can someone here tell me why nigerians will not continue suffering?
the kind of hatred many of us have shown to an individual struggler cannot be compared to what we show to our politicians who have used what belong to all of us as their personal belongings.
tell me how a man who hates good news will progress.
but if Mikel is Blessed by God, who can course him? and the answer is nobody.
i have looked back from the days of his transfer saga till date, nigerians wrote mikel off but God did not. he has been moving from glory to glory. what is greatness in relation to a boy of yesterday in one of the biggest clubs in the world and among the richest nigerian players.
hate him or love him, God's hands are upon him and that is why he has in the past disobeyed all theories and will in future continue in his progressive ways.
if anone here hates money which mikel likes, let money no comey your ways and if anyone here hates progress which mikel has so far achieved, let progress no come your ways.
most people condeming everything mikel does are never do wells and most of them are childrem of the criminals who have raped nigeria and nigerians to poverty.
may the God of mikel be my God for he is a God of progress and success.

is there no entertainment section here where u can discuss micheal jackson, harrison ford, samuel jackson, modonna and other hollywood activities. if sports is a compulsory subject in ur study, why not discuss basketball of tennis where u have the williams sisters.
most of u who got to america via ships lost their senses in the truma that follows ur trips.
pls u are in the usa for real, which part? are there other nigerians there or are u alone? are u using coloured tv there or still black and white? were u in new orleans when the huricane visited there bcs u sound like someone still in shock.

Sports › Re: Mikel Obi Is Not A Super Eagle And Using Him Will Ruin Us by chidichris(m): 2:05pm On Apr 07, 2009
if this is submission time, i hereby submit my case as follows;
1. if mikel is a failure, it means 99% nigerians are failures in their fields. ask how. if a play who played football to this height is still a failure, i am yet to know many nigerians known at international levels in their various field as mikel who we call a failure. maitema, if u are a fraudstar, a drug lord, a doctor, an engineer, a businessman, a plitician or anyother profession u can think of, i see you as a failure based on the fact that you have not been able to mesure with your international counterparts and i will be ready to prove this whenever u are ready to say what you do.
2. if mikel with his sacrifice so far to nigeria is not patrotic, i want to believe no nigerian is including our leaders who have not lived upto the terms of the oath of office they took before taking up their various jobs.
3. the death of football in nigeria today lies more in the hands of those who claim to love football. in other words, nigerians are more of hypocrites for they preach one thing and do the other.
4. the failures of stars are celebrated more in nigeria than their progress hence envy and jealous have overtaken our sense of reasoning.
5. the downfall of the eagles did not start with mikel and will not end with him hence i will like to remind u that what u did in naming mikel as the one to ruin our eagles is nothing but assasination of character but to God be the glory that mikel does not depend on nigerian fans for his livelihood.

maitema, is good having u on-board with hope u and ur supporters will turn to a new leave by appreciating our heros and learn to support them in their times of difficulties like other sports fans do.

i rest my case

Evil men at work again. They will all quench to death because of envy. Instead of them to do something tangible with their time like getting a job, they are busy hating on Obasanjo. Bad belle na cancer.
Ireport,
who are th evil me here? the ones who made the law, the ones who sign them or the ones who want the law to be effective?
remember, this law was made under the obj's administration and signed into law by obj. is it bad if someone reminds obj that he signed same into law a couple of months back? do u have any particular person in mind in making laws or our laws supposed to be a respecter of perons?

Those who live in glass house should not throw stones. Some laws are obnoxious to our culture, why i personally do not subscribe to showy display of wealth, including openly spraying Naira, we need not legislate on it. Educate the people to respect the Naira, and that would suffice. We should concentrate on legislating poverty to the back door.

Leave the old man (Obasanjo) alone, let's concentrate on how to move forward please.
@arogbowei,
is anyone making a new law here? are you aware this particular law was signed by the same old man? was the law made for a particular person?

@topic,
obj once told oyo people that the late adedibu was too old to be changed and i think the same is applicable here.
let obj resign from politics as an old man and we will start looking at him as an old man. if obj believes he is too stron to remain in politics, he shld be able to know the laws of the land and respect them with the knowledge of the supremacy of the law.
if nothing is done in his situation, let it be generally acceptable that anyone punished for same reason will amount to selective justice for which his administration and pdp is known for.

Sports › Re: Should Westerhof Be Hired Again? by chidichris(m): 10:02am On Apr 07, 2009
83 siasias and 95 westerholfs cannot do better than what we have.
as long as aso rock has no other interest in the game outside using it to compensate political thugs, there is practically nothing we can do about it.
it was not a case of aikhomu or diya rather abacha himself was a man of football. this has to do with interest. look at eyinmba of aba under orji uzor kalu. they became the first nigerian side to lift the champions league cup and twice in a strecth.
wow! footballers seeing their leader on the bench jumping up and down acting as a coach. what can be more motivating. imagine ll our footballers then having direct communications with the then almighty abacha.

we could see ribadu and el rufai very active under obj bcs they know too well he has more interest in what they were doing.
as long as football will not keep pdp in aso rock forever, as long as football has nothing to do with our oil, as long as the aboki does not know or care about the happiness of nigerians, as long as football has nothing to do with inec, all we need is a man who love the game and is ready to look into the game that brought fame and respect to nigeria and nigerians and only then shall we beging to see committed players and crew s who will be ready to give their best.

May I have your name first? I promise to reciprocate the gesture
@maitema,
my names are christopher chidiebere hence chidichris.

@sowura
I will appreciate if you expatiate or better still rationalize your statement: MAITEMA, you sound intelligent, but you sure have a very low self esteem , I demand clarification because as it stands your statement makes no sense under the context it was used. If you dont do as required I will conclude you have a low English comprehension ability and perhaps saw the statement somewhere and imagined you could use it here. More so if you have read my posts on this thread I originated, you would have seen my line of thought and understand that I do NOT hold that Mikel is the SOLE problem of Nigerian football but rather an integral part of it, and that the opposing posters started the personal attacks. chidichris called me a monkey etc. just because I aired my patriotic view on Nigerian football that I am a staunch fan of
@maitema,
if i called u a monkey which u are not, i am really sorry about that. and i would want you to accept responsibility of this, @, I have repeatedly reiterated that you are an IGNORAMUS of the highest order.

on the topic of this thread, i will be happy is you explain these two key words viz; using and ruin. the explaination of these two words will put me in a plat form for a better understanding especially if you do that in igbo language. pardon my shortcomings with my dream language - english.

the word patrotism has been abused and bastardised by many. even our media houses blame our players for unpatrotic acts when millions of football loving fans cannot have access to live coverage of nigerian matches. escoba of cuba was patrotic when he honoured the invitation to play for his country which led to a mistaken own goal that resulted to his assasination later. the man who killed him also was patrotic. our nff despite coming through the back doors have refused to organise meaningful friendlies like other countries do and that is patrotism. our coaching crew knows who will play and who will not with or without coming to camp and that is patrotism.

nigerians have decided on their path to patrotism which must be seen in our anti progresssive reports as you can see here in nairaland. pete edochie slams mikel, danfo drivers condem mikel, mikel in a drunk and drive case, mikel rapes president's wife. look through nairaland and refer me to any good report on our heros or are we prophets and propheteses of doom. can't we for once say any good thing with our mouth about a boy who is serving us. does it mean there is nothing good about him even his height and shape.

brother, if u have along the line understand ur mistake, what is wrong in withdrawing the statement or even rephrase it because a simple explaination of this topic is; stop using mikel and progress, continue using him and u will be ruined. i stand to be corrected.

what names did the argentines call messi in their 6-1 defeat to bolivia? how did camerounians persecute etoo for loosing to togo? how did nigerians support mikel in his days of trouble during the man u transfer saga? apart from forcing himself to the cameras, how else has etim supported the game in nigeria?

no until we learn to appreciate our own, respect people's efforts, give honour to those that deserve them, remove politics from the game, apportion blames without sentiments, i still believe we will not get back to that track for which we were known football wise under abacha. by the way, abacha's era saw nigerian football to the greatest height and it is important to find out why.

If you are indeed interested in verifying the details of my contribution in hosting the Flying Eagles in 2005, you can contact the Nigerian Embassy in The Hague, Netherlands and ask for a Mr. Ola who will confirm to you if was the NFA or the Nigerian Community in The Netherlands that sponsored the farewell party for the Flying Eagles. Better still you can reach the then Ambassador designate Mrs. Lar.
@maitema,
if i get across to mr. ola at the embassy, who will i ask him of.
i must know ur name to ask mr. ola about ur contributions.
again forgive my bad english as i promise to improve with time.

@ chidichris ;

Am happy we r striking a rythmn;
& we r not happy the Super eagles & their set up r not. Mikel is a professional & should know when not fit 2 play; i read in the press that the Chelsea physio adviced against his featuring in that match due 2 ill-health, again who is d coach here that selects the team; Amoudu has failed & should own his mistakes, the players themselves felt they had nothing 2 play
4 & could win d ticket with their usual last minute fire-brigade approach system when they play d subsequent matches since its a league series .see bros, our problem is not hving quality players but the players taking up the challenge & fighting with that gr8 patriotic committment that is typical of our youth teams. i dare not talk about our soccer administrators whom we all know hv failed on uncountable times, infact if u cn cast ur mind back & u'll remember that Nigeria hv never won any major lurel due to the gud works of our FA authorities, as typical Nigerians i do not expect them 2 change overnite afterall nothing comes out from the probes we hear whenever there is sudden failure from the national team/teams, the players owe themselves & nigerians the zeal 2 win & that's d only way to show commitment & patriotism. Me & u love this game, with the global economic meltdown, times are getting very austere now, d only soothing balm is the sweet game of football, that is if they/we win.
@cantab,
that is exactly the problem here. chelsea said mikel was not fit and if u were following the invitation, nff have started treathening what will happen if mikel did not come. at a point the nff said mikel must come so that their own doctor will see him first. we all know the rest of the story.
if nigerian national team has a doctor, he was supposed to know that mikel was not fit for the game and if there was no doctor, the coach and his crew definitely will know in between the 90 mins that mikel was not in the game. on the other way round, we know what happened in the past when okocha, mikel or any other member of the team did not honour invitation.
football is not about the 90 mins rather there are pre and post macth activities that either boost and kill the morals of the players.
if we talk about patrotism, is it only on the side of the players?
how are our media houses contributing to the game in the name of patrotism?
how is our football authorities contributing to the game?
the coaching crew, are they good news?
there must be unity of purpose otherwise we will go no where.
we must first of all find out where this backwardness originated from to be able to know how best to tackle this problems. the problem was there before mikel and martins joined the team and if nothing serious is done, it will be there when the quit the eagles.
we must go back to the days of westerholf. why was the winning team changed?
how many coaches have come and gone?
until we get a leader who likes the game or is interested to let merit be the only condition for the occupants of the glasshouse and coaching crews, we will not do better than media condemination of players.
Sports › Re: Whoelse Would You Play In Super Eagles Midfield? by chidichris(m): 11:28am On Apr 06, 2009
if actually our problem lies in the midfield, i suggest we play; D BANJ OR 2FACE in the midfield.

@ chidichris ;

I do not want 2 know any issues with Etim Esin, all i am saying is that the point he made about Mikel, Martin & Amoudu is
obvious, Etim may hv lost some of his morals but not the sense of football, afterall in his days he played trauncy to extreme levels yet he delivered when it mattered most. Special/exceptional players & Coaches swing games in the tightest of situations & that is what we expect 4rm d three folks.

I agree with u that the proplems of our football is large & complicated but we shouldn't fail 2 point out any 1 we observe from our own point of views, i still reinterate that we use Siasia & his Eagles mayb they'll take us to a reasonable hight b/4 they get polluted, that is my humble submission/contribution.
cantab,
i am begining to accept my mistakes here. etim like everyother nigerian is right especially with the freedom of speech which democracy has brought to us.
remember over 150 million nigerians have their takes on the maputo show and everybody is right.
on ur opinion of using siasia and his boys, i will if nigeria will use our female team for the rest of the qualifiers.

in the world of reality, how long will nigeria and nigerians leave objects for shadow?

a player arrieved camp on a thursday, first said he was sick, ask to play, was not playing well and was left to play 90mins. wow! in which other football team does all these happen?
lateness to camp overlooked, fitness problem overlooked, not playing well for 90 mins yet overlooked and we are all here in pretence blaming the players as if we do not know who to blame.

on a day a player is not doing well, the bench becomes useful that is if the coach is ready for football.

i am a nigerian who likes victory in football and if the removal of a particular player can give us that victory, why not?
a good coach is that one who maintains descipline among his players, take decissions without fear or favour.
if these players do not have competition, how will they live upto their expectations?
nff has a role to play when it comes to who the coach will be. the coach has to make our national team jerseys competitive otherwise players who have assurance for a place in the team will have nothing to prove.

The said comment from Etin Esim about Mikel,Martin & Shuabu is absolutely correct, there is no use havn Mikel & Martin in the team if they cannot make any difference, Siasia is a smarter coach , he is in the thick of things at the moment no doubts & the result is we hv 2day with d immediate junior team, who says Siasia cannot handle the so called big boys & win their respect; afterall he played the game 2 at d highest level, lets make a change if & when its necessary, now is d time, b/4 Amoudu drags our football back, by the way cn anybody tell me what technical input Shaibu made on the Mozambique match, a coach worth his onions should make tactical/technical inputs to change a situation in a game of that magnitude, depite having the resources on the bench. I think Amoudu was a spectator on that unfortunate game; we will continue to thank God for using the referee to favour us in many instances in that match, Amoudu needs a relief now b/4 its 2 late. By d way who says we cannot use Siasia & his olympic eagles to procetute the assighment at hand,afterall the so called Super eagles hv unfortunately & surprisingly 2 turned super chickens, becoming supervisors in the field of play.
@cantab,
etim slamed mikel and martins and u said he is correct but reading down the lines, i can see u slam amodu the more.

the truth of the matter is that until we trace back to the problems of supper eagles nothing can be done. no doctor treats any ailment without identification.
we have all closed our eyes to the incidents that led to the humilation of oliseh and his group.

we shld all stop beating about the bush and hit the nail at the head. who is in charge of our football in nigeria?
what inputs has he done to the game?

how many friendly matches have supper eagles played this year?
why is etim not among our coaching crew?
apart from talking to press, what other contributions have etim made to the game he supposed to worship?
slamming mikel and martins or even removing them from the super eagles will further help us back to the unknown zone.

siasia is a very good coach but believe me, his goodness is shinning because he is handling a group of unknown soldiers whose primary objectives are to gain popularity and sale themselves to the football power houses. every supper eagle was once a junior player so whatsoever is discouraging the super eagles will surely affect them when they get there.

there is no committments in the whole team. this team needs motivation most importantly on the moral aspect of the game.

@chidi+maita; You guys have a valid argument on Mikel. Even on Chelsea forum's there's been arguments on what Mikel is and what he should be; an attacking or defensive midfielder. But what I find baffling is that two adults like you will slide to the murk of using gutter language to try to demean what should ordinaryly be a valid point from the other. I do not see how GRAMMER should come into this neither do I know of a situation where a footballer's WEALTH is an indices of how successful as a footballer he is. You guy's are obviously intelligent but intelligence doesn't know right or wrong. You can be intelligenct and still wrong! I could point out, what I think, are the flaws in you two's argument but it doesn't make me right or more intelligent. To come to fora to put down a fellow man doesn't show you guys up in good light. Cut the insults and get on with your VERY intelligent debate. Peace
@Ifedisky,
thanks for ur candid and impartial observation.
what is ur position on the thread topic? do u think mikel will ruin us if we continue using him?
