PEVERT u are right,in ma hood most chelsea fans are area boys, they are very lousy, imagine a chelsea fan stab a united fan after the champions league final last year
oga abrahym,
pls give ur location. we are sending some of our boys to meet u bcs if there is anyone who deserves stabbing, it is uuuuuuuuuuu.
things like u deserve serious stabbing especially in ur ass through which u reason.
for the others in ur group, i have decided to use that law which says that silent is the best answer to them(fools)

@switch47,
na u write this,
THE ONLY BOTTOM LNE HERE IS CHELSEA WILL BE DISGRACED OUT OF THE CHAMPIONS LEGUE!!
and na u still write this,
CHELSEA WILL STILL NOT WIN ANY SILVERWARE THIS SEASON---------VERDICT------CHELSEA IS STILL A WASTE WITH NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT!!

only compensation at the end will be " hey!! at least we tried---beating juventus even if we got no cup------loooooooooserss Grin Grin LIVERPOOL/ MANCHESTER UNITED /ARSENAL ARE STILL IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SO CHELSEA SHOULD BE VERY AFRAID !! Grin it is a lose -lose situation here for chelsea!! Grin the evil day was only postponed-------the club is DOOMED TO FALL!!
most times talking too much bring more harm than good. u see urself. na u talk pass for this thread and na u suppose shame pass bcs nothing for u.
things like u are supposed to be in the freezer after such disgrace but to prove how shameless u can be, u are still unreasonable with your tongue. well u simply represent a force prophet so have a a shameful day.

@poster,
please correct this score line. if that ref and his linesmen were all blind to Drogba's first goal, i am not so for me that goal still counts. so it is Juv 2- My Chelsea 3 and the aggregate is juv 2 - my chelsea 4.

i do not see anything wrong in chelsea beating juv home and away with just two goals difference after all buyern washed sporting 12 - 1.

PoliticsRe: Electoral Reform: Panel Seeks Tenure Extension For Yar’adua by chidichris(m): 8:57am On Mar 09, 2009
they have no plans to move nigeria forward.
the only thing they consider worthy of changing in our constitution is tenure.
obj failed directly and has never relaxed since then hence indirect pursuit of life president.
the major problem of nigerian leaders is not knowing when to say bye.
champions are mearnt to resign when the ovation is high. dora did a great job when she was in nafdac but she fall for the information ministerial joke.
okonjo iweala distinguished herself by making us understand that she must not remain in power.
we are watching dora who is indirectly been used as the peace maker here.
their delay tactics will still not work this time.

Tpia,
there are a lot of threads here where you can contribute and overlook the ones you are not familiar with. the act of forcing oneself to contribute in every thread creates rooms for fighting and abuses because most times fighters lack knowledge in that particular thread.

OutlukBabe,
if you are a babe living in london and you have opportunity to be with a minister under obj on one of his trips to london, i can stake my head, u are a useful tool to the recovery of nigeria's looted funds.
we all know what babes and ministers do especially on this type of trips so it is obvious u now own a property in choice area in abuja via that meeting.

on the issue of what the gubernatorial candidate in adamawa said, it may sound funny and dumb but that is the christian truth.
our leaders have no relationship whatsoever with ideology. the only lies i found in his statement remains searching for opportunity to serve his ppl. which ppl if i may ask?
opportunity to have power and loot and meet pretty nigerian girls abroad like what transpired between u and that minister whose name was withheld as your real name is also withheld here.

PoliticsRe: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Our Leaders by chidichris(m): 10:36am On Mar 07, 2009
Kobojunkie,
facts and figures are in important in debates or arguements.

i have pointed to the facts that leaders are responsible for the actions of their citizens and i have referred you to the latest warrant of arrest issued by the world criminal court over the darfur crimes.
i have told you that policies are guide on which a particular govt in power pilots the affairs of a country which in turns enjoy responses from both within and outside and i referred you to bush's foreign policies and its implications to america and her economy.
i have asked you questions over ghana. the same citizens who lived in ghana when ghanians were facing hardship are still the same citizens that are living there today that ghana is enjoying good life and the only change that occurred in ghana is leadership.
what do u think about the electoral reforms about to take place under yar adua? if the reforms are made, implimented and offenders well punished, do u think it will not be a way forward.
it is important u watch tv programmes where most of these leaders and intending leaders are invited, they accept these blames and their campaigns most times are changes which they do not live up to.
obama campaigned for change and the change is not in the citizens rather in the leadership.
quoting watson or other theories without making references to situations on ground will never match the topic.
if you can mention the problems of nigeria, relate them to the leaders and citizens then u will have a better understanding of this topic.

the truth of the matter is that all the thieves are not afraid because the leader of the gang is still control.
the solution to all these cock and bull stories will come the day, the ottah farm ring leader will be touched.
as long as this gang leader remains an untouchable in nigeria, i urge all of us not to expect much.
any bold govt will be forced to question either obj or annenih on the issues raised by the 1999-2007 administration. but as long as obj remains the king maker in pdp and annenih the npa boss, all is well in the criminal kingdom so nothing to fear.
we will know the powers of this administration any day an oposition of this cabre enter into the story book of efcc.
PoliticsRe: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Our Leaders by chidichris(m): 9:24am On Mar 06, 2009
I didnt read tru the first post or any other posts, I stopped @ where U stated the problem lies within us and I completely agree with u, everybody cries for change but what exactly are we doing to bring about this change? we should all remember that before the leaders became who they are they wer once among us and are still among us, if every single person took it upon themselves to fight crruption who will be left on the corrupt side, unfortunately we live in a world where everything cant go the wya we planned, everyone cant be right we just have to weed out the bad ones one at a time, Nigeria should be waaay more developed with all our resources and wealth, but you see other African Countried progress faster than us, it really is sad *smh* ah well, life
@Hellypelly,
i don't mean to be disrespectful, but the truth of the matter is that u ended up saying nothing.
if everyone is sane and not corrupt, will there be any need for leaders?
from the bible days, there was room for leaders and the bible made us to understand that leaders must lead by example and in some other place, the bible made it open that a blind man can never lead a blind man as both will fail into a well and this is exactly what is happening in nigeria today.
corrupt ppl leading corrupt ppl.
laws are made to guide our actions and these laws are ordinary words hence it must be backed with action.
every car has a driver and then passangers so there is no room for everyone in a car to be a driver for a car to move freely.
the other african countries that u mentioned here, are there citizens not corrupt? other good countries of the world have corrupt citizens but good leaders.
iran is ready to have weapons of mass destruction today is not the decission of the citizens rather the leaders decissions so whatsoever the end will be, will be attached to the leaders.
if you hear on news that nigeria said, all of us did not say rather our leaders said that is why u as a person cannot be addressed as nigeria said whenever u make a comment.
it is believed that yar adua is representing us so whatsoever yar adua said will be addressed as nigeria said.
in ur constituency, someone is representing u and whatsoever decission he makes will be attached to u as a people because he is ur leader.
the decission by certain isreali leaders to withdrew from some parts of palistine was immediately reflected in their citizens actions to quit the areas and if any of their future leaders will decide otherwise, their citizens will have no choice.
the funny aspect of this arguement is that our leaders for once in any interview or whatsoever denied responsibilities to all these failures.

PoliticsRe: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Our Leaders by chidichris(m): 5:01pm On Mar 05, 2009
if one wants to define government as a machinary, it is a group of people who have the legal responsibilities of controlling a country, state or a group of people.
in this, they have the responsibilities of making laws, implimenting these laws as well as punishing law breakers.
the failure of nigeria now depends on these responsibilities of making laws, implimenting them and punishing law breakers.
in darfur, there is a break down in laws and orders. the president was not in the jungles to rape and abuse children but today, the world court in hague has issued a warrant of arrest for the president. why? because he failed in his duties to control and protect his people.
if any nigerian is misbahaving today, it is because, there are no laws, or the laws are not active or that the there are no punishments for offenders.
under normal circumastances, such govts are surposed to resign for failing in their duties.
in nigeria, during the obj admin, there were cases of declaration of states of emergency which means suspension of the state gov based on his inability to exercise his powers over his people - lost of control.
police ommissioners most times are suspended by the ig based on reasons of incapacitations especially whenever there is high rate of crime under his state and we all see them been replaced by a considered capable person.
our problems in nigeria starts with our leaders and if there will be a real solution, it must start from them.
if aso rock embrace sanity today, nigeria and nigerians will have no option than to embrace sanity.
the madness in aso rock which made yahoo boys(419) to serve jail terms of 100 years while our federal criminals like balogun served six months made nigeria a joke because china will jail a 419 2 years while a balogun will face death penalty so sanity remains a must.
it was that same madness that saw off intellectuals like okonjo iweala while high robbers like borrishade and tony annenih remain power brokers. what a shame.
PoliticsRe: I Saw Nuhu Ribadu In Kigali By Reuben Abati by chidichris(m): 8:07pm On Feb 25, 2009
Are you saying ObJ in his 8 years rule did not do a single thing right, Also as per Yardua being the lone contestant thats is not Run, Atiku, Buhari, Pat utomi etc contested the election, I will accept that PDP outrigged them, just like their party outrigged PDP is some states, So if anything I would suggest before Ribadu, Maurice Iwu is to blame
Moves,
obj did a lot of good things including the telecommunication industry which is enjoyed all over nigeria till date.

i would want to remind us here that most of us are not even aware of the dramatic situation with the april polls.

atiku was on his own based on court injuction so there was no way he could win and be president of nigeria. remember ribadu gazzetted a fraud case that indicted atiku within one week and declared him illegible to context the april polls through inec.

did u follow the pdp convention that did not hold. do u know that odili was favourite till the last minute when obj changed his stance. do u know buba marwa was in the race and both men were asked to drop their presidential ambition or face efcc.
odili dropped his ambition knowing what will happen to him if he fails. marwa was sturborn till he was invited by ribadu who suggestion a settlement outside the court.

warwa complied with their instruction and today he is compensated with ambassadorian position.

whatsoever yar adua does today will be related to those two big men(ribadu and obj) who even against the wishes of majority of nigerians imposed him on us.

nobody will do anything to iwu because iwu did nothing wrong in nigeria. if anyone is accussing iwu, he shld be able to be linked to his employee who till date sees him as the best man in nigeria.
PoliticsRe: I Saw Nuhu Ribadu In Kigali By Reuben Abati by chidichris(m): 4:19pm On Feb 25, 2009
the lowest level of human beings here are those who praise obj/ribadu and turn back to criticise yar adua and his group.
we are all witnesses to the events that brought yar adua to power.
it is a general knowledge that ribadu and obj on their own brought yar adua on board.
it was this same ribadu that made us to understand that yar adua was the only man qualified among every other nigerian to be president.
if there is any manner of failure or failures, nigerians shld look towards the direction of yar adua for explaination bcs it was him who disqualified every other contestant and made yar adua a lone striker.
i will like us to admit the failures and apportion blames to the right direction.
who brought yar adua? obj. who brought ribadu? obj. so the praises and blames on the side of the above two must go to the same direction.
there is a God that will supply them with enough confussion for our freedom.
ribadu was doing better on the side of buying property with his inlaw's name than as a corruption fighter.
he was so stupid that he did not consider any federal govt appointed politician corrupt.
the only corrupt people in nigeria were govs who could not dance to his tone.
where was ribadu when el rufai was sharing all the lands in abuja to his girl friends?
war on corruption indeed.

@poster,
u can do better than this by begining to change ur user name to something that has to do with what u believe.
ur write up here paints a picture of a low life. most mentally chalanged patients in nigeria will be more constructive and conviencing in their efforts compare to what u have just shown here.
well, if not for one or two reasons, such topics are not worth responding to. you have actually proved that saying that even if monkey go america, the difference will only be american monkey, so monkey is a monkey no matter where it.

PoliticsRe: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Our Leaders by chidichris(m): 10:07am On Feb 25, 2009
if we use nairaland as a case study for this arguement, we will see nairaland as another nigeria where there are laws but the laws are not effective.
it is against the law here to have double id but many do yet the leaders of the forum are not active in implimenting the laws they have made.
there are moderators in all departments who are not moderating. assuming the moderator here is working, it is his responsibility to gide people on every issue. he will be in a position to let oposing sides know who is bringing up more points or who is going against the rules. many bcs of lack of ideas will always resort to insults with no one to direct them. the major difference between human beings and other animals is leadership and when that is lost, we will have no choice than to go back to the lower animal kingdom where we belong and where everyone will do as he likes.

if i may ask, why is it that our leaders keep on changing national team coaches? simply because our leaders believe the coaches are not doing very well. the coaches are responsible for who plays where and how. so at the end of the match if your ideas did not fetch the anticipated results, it means failure and the back doors will be the next alternative.

the major problem of our leaders is the inability to quit even when it is obvious that they have overstayed their welcome.
abacha knew he was not a favourite yet he wanted to be a life president, obasanjo knew his time was over even with the laws which he swore to upheld yet he insisted on third term. borrishade knew he was not doing well yet he was moving from one ministerial appointment to the other.

i will like to use this opportunity to call on owners/organisers of this nairaland forum to make the laws here effective as ineffective laws are as good as no laws. ur abilities in handling the affairs of this forum can put u in a better position in the society where things are done in the right way. your intentions are good and the works here are very relevant as a watchdog to the group who have sworn to die in/with power but you have to find ways of improving the standards and thereby making this forum a voice of relevance in nigeria.
PoliticsRe: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Our Leaders by chidichris(m): 8:19am On Feb 24, 2009
The problem with Nigeria are the Ibos!

They should be shipped off to Darfur or Somalia where they belong and leave the rest of the country to restructure itself. Their prescence will only lead us to being a 4th world country!

Hitler did it with germany to expunge the jews thats why germany is a G-8 nation and Isreal is not. The earlier we flush out these set people, the better!

I think you should first expunge your brain. I believe it is out-dated. It always vex me when other ethnics say that the Ibos are the problem or that Ibos love money. If the Yorubas, Hausas, don't like money, why is it that our country is still in a ruin. Since 1960, how many Ibo president do we have? Abacha, Obasanjo, Babangida, and others, are they Ibo?If they are humane as you claimed, why did they embezzled the countries economy. They ripped Nigeria off and you are there still pointing hands at others. I hate racists. Please stop it.

With the type of brain you possess, I believe you are already in the fourth world.
Deco2come,
Why? can't u see no one replied to that yaba mental client. some are short of opinion but they must contribute because others are contributing. that man is in his own world let him be please.

@topic,
our leaders will even accept this blame and that is why in every election u will see posters with such headlines as; change 2003, change 99, power to the people, better life to nigeria, steady power supply within six months, employement to all even unborn babies, truning nigeria to african japan come 2009, say no to corruption, we will make heaven out of hell.
all these promises that never come to be are signs of failures. they are signs of deciets. they are signs of betrayals of trust. and all these come together to confirm that our so called leaders are liars and pretenders. their do or die approach to what is surposed to be a service oriented business make the whole scenario a suspicious one.
the end justifies the means has become the slogan and watchword . if nigeria is an aircraft, yar adua is the pilot and other leaders are the cabin crew while nigerians are all passengers so the direction of the air craft will not be determined by the passengers rather the pilot.
in the then roman empire, leaders are not allowed to get married or to be close to their families to give them total concentration and that is why till date roman catholic clergymen are not allowed to get married what more a mentally, physically or emotionally challenged person(s) been in control of a nation.
we are all living witnesses to where clinton left the plane carrying americans and we are all seeing the direction of zimbabwian plane as been piloted by mugabe.
the masses will only react to the actions of the leaders.
ojukwu led the biafrans to war and they had to react to the war drum - simple.
obj led us to gsm and we are all reacting to gsm till date as well as his other areas. if yar adua will take us to steady power supply, we will not reject that. so if through our prayers, God sends a good leader who will lead us to all the basic things of life, as good nigerians, we will all begin to sing the new songs.
good leadership will involve providing environments for law breakers.
in south africa, a vice presient once went on trial for just us$500 or its equvelent and that makes u wonder how a citizen will be treated for a semilar crime.
the issue here is that nigerians are hungry and a hungry man is an angry man but we are helpless.

What a bloody bastard that Taiwo Adewale is. I am sure Kehinde will be somewhere crying in regrets for him. No wonder BNP are seriously crying that work should be given to UK citizens first rather than immigrants who are even qualified for the position.

Thank goodness, his IT manager at work detected him and made the information available to the police immediately. These days I am not fazed by the sheer wealth easily attributed to youth in our times. Yahoo Yahoo scams have become a logo with jobless and even some job-employed youths both in Nigeria and beyond.

Of recent, I came across this picture (see below) on facebook, and I am still trying to phantom, what kind of job the young boy in Nigeria did to accrue a car worth over £100,000 to his personality.
YME,
this is a grave crime. in this modern world, u go about pasting people's pictures on internet attaching them to crimes without their consent.
it is called deformation of character. i am sure u are not the police and if you are, u are not doing this in ur official capacity hence it is not with the consent of your employees - nigerian police.
oga grow up. do not allow your envy and jealousy to becloud your sense of humour.
do u know his age? if the car belongs to him, do u know his source? he might be a son to one of the senators or he might have inherited funds or whatever source he has.
be a gentle man and always report people with big cars to the police instead of u taking laws into ur hands.
i ask the moderators of this forum to do something about such derogatory posts to avoid all of us going to jail bcs of one blind out fashioned post here.
it is a free world so if anyone chooses to drive h3 at the age of 10, let him work towards it and be ready to face the consequences of his action.
and for those who derive pleasure in moving on legedez even at 80, let them go ahead.

Angry talking gibberish about ur law maker in ur village, he should arrest everybody, how childish, answer my question where the people he arrested corrupt or not? nonsense.
df2006 ,
insulting me will not change my stance rather i will accept your insults in good fate bcs if i don't come online, u will not have any other meeting place or avenue to insult me.

those he arrested are corrupt but who among our politicians is not corrupt?
if that kind of of war continues, do u think anything will get better in nigeria?
have u ever thought of the result of that war on corruption? have u ever checked if it reduced corruption in nigeria or it increased corruption?
it was under that war that iyabo obasanjo had her case and she is still roaming our streets till date and she is urposed to be a law maker? what about mrs etteh? the senate president had to pass the rigorous processes of the court to remain on seat. men of questionable characters at the helm of affairs, what do u think our fate will be?
how did the whole movie come to an end? yar adua became president via the worst and organised crime called election in the history of nigeria under the watchful eyes of this same ribadu who was out to make sure corrupt officials did not take powers.
have we all gone mad? tell me among the new sets of leaders, who is sane or worthy to be where he is.
african china in his music said; poor man wey steal magi, they will show him for crime fighter while the bigmen that loot our money still remain heros.
don't u know how borrishade ruined the educational system in nigeria? don't u know how he was shifted to the aviation ministry? don't u know how many plane crashes he recorded before he was moved to the information and culture? where was ribadu?
i keep on wondering how ribadu so much liked abia people that he consider them more important than our dear country nigeria
how come among nigerians nobody is interested in what happened on our federal roads, power sector, educational system, medical system, security and oil sector yet we are all happy ribadu made kalu a criminal. how did the criminal actions of orji uzor kalu affect the sectors mentioned above under the care of federal govt which shld be our major concern?
go ahead and tell me to shut up while ribadu serves as a estate agent who buys federal govt property for his inlaw. i will shut up while el rufai shared practically all federal lands to friend of the past administration while the war on corruption is on.
why is it that non of us is interested to know how many of these lands were traced to orji uzor kalu?
ribadu was there when chris uba overthrew an elected gov in anambra state. the hatred they showed to kalu was because he refused and resisted them from the beginning to the last. he refused to be a toy before the man he sponsored his first election.
if u said i shld shut up, then tell me ho is possible that among all our past presidents, it was only abacha that was probed. i must remind u that selected justice is more dangerous and can never bring th result we want.
look at tony annenih back as the chairman of nigerian ports authority and he is yet to tell us how he managed the N300 billion his friend(obj) gave him for ibadan-benin expressways. do u know how many ppl that have died on that road since then?

how far did ribadu go with atiku? how come ribadu only noticed that atiku was a criminal immediately he(atiku) fall out with obj over third term.

well then, i will shut up for now but truth will and must surely be told someday sometime. a movie but the war on corruption led by obj and ribadu was only a movie and did not put nigeria anywhere better than it was except on the pages of our newspapers.

The problem with Nigeria is not bad leadership but bad followership. Imagine a nation like Nigeria with population of more than 100,000,000 people in the 1990s being harassed and kicked around by less than 100,000 military men. It's just sick. In most other countries, leaders are not transparent just because. The reason is that there's a VIGILANT populace willing to take action against it when necessary. There's a country where citizens are constitutionally allowed to bear arms and today most citizens of that country don't know why and Here in Nigeria however, there are only few freedom fighter who will be slaughtered and the rest cower in fear. Besides, the leaders come from within the populace it's. They're not imported from Mars. So it's not our leaders that are bad, it's the citizens who are ignorant, lazy, unserious, tribalist and sheepish.
Dnex,
i still want to rate ur opinion 80% in the idealistic world. are u living in nigeria or a different country? do you know about dele giwa? do you know about ken saro wiwa? do you know about Bola ige? do u have any knowledge of odi massacre as was directed by obj? what are the consequences of all the above named and unremembered late heros?

In true democracy, power lies in the hands of the people. The executives cannot take action unless ratified by the votes of legislators and the votes of legislators is decided by referendums in their various constituencies. That's in True Democracy O! Most people look up at the USA when they think of true democracy but at a time when a USA president was having less than 30% approval rating, he was still smiling in office meanwhile in Japan that would not be possible. And it is a very wrong statement when we continue to say "X" president is ruling us, or is holding on to power. He never had power. The power remains with the people. The president is just a manager, a mediator and not a power wielder. The word president comes from "to preside" which is like to moderate. He's just a person we trust to act fairly in decision making relating to the entire polity.
Dnex,
another good piece in the mars or any other idealistic environment. u said in true democracy power lies in the hands of the people, is nigeria a democratic country? if u choose to say yes, is it the true democracy u are talking about? is the power in our hands?
did u vote in the people u call leaders? do they account for u? do u know who is representing ur constituency and does he have time to listen to u?
if u have read govt text books or any write up on political science, i have done same but i must inform u that they are relevant in the classrooms.
almost everyone here accepted that the problem lies in the hands of the people so what are u waiting for? since there is an agreement, i think u can all stand up against armed soldiers and i promise u the nation will give u a befitting burial in a mass grave for treason and fellony.
if i may ask, who among u is not a hypocrite? all u can do is hide under non existing names and say one thing and do another.

i asked a question before and i want to ask again, what happened to the people of ghana who suffered in the 80s and the people of ghana of the present day? did the people change or did the govt change? if u are short of the answer, there is simply a change is govt which brings in a change in policies hence the anticipated results.

do u think nigeria has any law? obj banned importation of textile and furnitures yet all our govt offices are furnished with foriegn furniture and our police uniform was imported. who is decieving who? banning of goods can onlyh work when govt decides to live by example and make provissions for local products at cheaper rates. what do u expect from the masses when imported products are cheaper than our locally manufactured goods bcs generators burn diesels from morning till night hence high cost of production.

I believe that 60% of the blame lies with our leaders, and 40% lies with the public. There is no such thing as a “good people”. Every human being is potentially programmed to be “bad”. The only thing that keeps us on track are the laws implemented, which act as a deterrent. No matter what race you are or what country you are from, we all have a "bad" disposition. Nigerian people commit crimes because the country they live in does not reinforce the correct laws. Western “role models” such as Norway and Sweden aren't almost crime-free because the people are somehow better – these countries merely enforce their laws more efficiently and thus deter their people from committing crime. Also, their poverty levels are very low, which reduces the “need” to commit crimes. In Nigeria’s case, this is where good leaders come in. All we need are good leaders to ensure that the correct laws are enforced. This includes having a functional justice system which ensures that people who commit crimes are arrested, receive a fair trial and are subsequently locked up. There should be no such thing as “untouchable” individuals who don’t go to jail due to their status/wealth, as this is what leads to the break down of a society: in the absence of justice reigns anarchy.
Nigerian citizens should be enlightened or made aware of the fact that they need to get rid of their leaders if they are not performing. This is where Nigerian people fail. You can’t blame them for not being law-abiding in our present dysfunctional society, but you can blame them for not ensuring that they have good leaders.
The question is, how do you find good leaders in a dishonest society? It is important to emphasise that leaders who commit crimes should do the right thing and resign, but you don't see this happening in Nigeria. People should insist that these dishonest leaders resign, instead of allowing them to remain in office.
It is also better for a sick leader to resign, rather than dragging the country down with him.
beystwin,
at last i have someone who could reason the same way with me. we all witnessed obj's policy on telecommunication and today even old women in the villages can speak directly with their children abroad. today we can see how many people with on our roads who are self employed and are owners of their own businesses just with N4000, one will be able to get a phone and sim, buy units and then start up a call centre. that is a plus.

govt made such opportunity available and our people are responding to that. give nigerians light tomorrow and u will see millions settling down as business owners. do u know with steady power supply, N5,000 have started a barbing salon?

God can always see us through. he will give us that moses soon to take us to our promise land.

PoliticsRe: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Our Leaders by chidichris(m): 3:23pm On Feb 22, 2009
Its true that our leaders are selected rather than elected, and there isnt much that can be done about that right now, but in that little way that you can effect a change, why not use it. Even if we elect an OBAMA tomorrow, Nigeria will still be the Nigeria you know. I cant make the police stop taking bribe, but I can stop giving bribe. I cant stop driver A from jumoing a red light, but I can obey the red light.
Okija juju,
the truth of the matter is that most of us here do not know who a leader is neither do most of us know who and who are in the leadership of nigeria talkless of the roles of a leader.

a leader is that one who has the authority to make rules and regulations guiding the act of ppl in a define area. like i mentioned earlier on, the legislature, the executive and the judiciary are the three main arms of govt.

now, making law is just a step, implimenting these laws are more important and at the end of the day, what happens to law breakers? drug trafickers know the implication of taking drugs to china and bangkok and that is exactly what they get.

if any of us is living anywhere arround lagos, he or she will not need a prophet to know that the fear of latsma is the begining of wisdom when ever he is using the roads and who said ppl are not responding?

someone asked how many ppl come out on environmental days, is it the same during the idiagbon/buhari regime.

the masses will only react to the actions of the leaders. bribe is common with police bcs the offender will only wait till his brother who is a senator calls the IG.

what do u think about the niger delta? they are responding to maltreatments and on the other hand bringing down the govt of the country. what happened in odi? a whole community wipped out and what happened till date? the answer is nothing.

i bet you, a man of honour in aso rock with sound policies will surely turn things arround. nigerians in america know the punishment and implication of jumping trafic lights so do they go about doing same? in dubai, it is about $1,000 and there is no short cut to that as long as u are caught on the camera so the choice is urs.

the ghana people are the same when they country was in a mess and they are the same masses now that they is ok. so what happened? a hange in govt. people with sound policies.

your obama example is a good one bcs it represents change. the change in question is not about the american ppl rather the american govt.

someone said leaders are servants, accepted but only on the pages of the news papers. how is an ordinary ward councellor in ur place serving u?

in the bible, we have bad leaders and we surely know the effects of their leaderships on their ppl. we saw pharoh take his ppl into the red sea.
in political history, we know hitler, we know idi amin, and today we know robert mugabe and they all represent bad leaders and whenever the head man is a criminal, the effect is always seen on his country.

are we blaming the zimbabwe ppl for the land refroms of mugabe which has brought the country down.

if a particular leader decides to give nigeria steady power supply which we have been crying for, are we going to praise him or the masses?

how many of our laws are active? how many policemen are ready to charge offenders to court? how many judges are there to give judgements against members or relatives of the ruling families.

the fight against cultism in our schools are very very unsucceessful bcs 99% of our leaders are members hence the war remains active only on the pages of our newspapers.

can u as bank worker bypass the manager and report illegal funds transfer in ur bank? wow! u will not only loose ur job which i scarce, u will die for trying to blackmail a leader and attempting to run down the bank.

Do u think any of these contractors is running away with the contract funds given to them? no way. the funds are always shared withing the leaders and instructions are given to the pet companies on how to behave and that is why u will see a whole president travelling to portharcourt to commission a non a existing project.

like i have said many times here, if anyone knows how to act as an ordinary citizen, he shld lead by example. if it means dying, let the person die first and we will learn from him.

i do not believe in ppl talking from a distance, do this do that, tell us where ur family is and we will all get them involved so that we will die along with them.

on my own, i have travelled to many countries and i have to say it categorically that nigerians are not in any way lazy. we are the struggling type that decides to go out there make efforts of our own not minding what God has blessed our country with. at least every nigerian household has a generator no matter how small it is just to survive not minding who is in charge.

in which other countries of the world will the ppl exist without the help of govt? all we need is prayers and God will one day remember us and send someone who will take us to our promise land.
PoliticsRe: I Saw Nuhu Ribadu In Kigali By Reuben Abati by chidichris(m): 12:52pm On Feb 22, 2009
Another objective Ribadu intends to achieve in the second book is to comment on a number of case studies. "People go about saying that Obasanjo used me to go after his enemies, Obasanjo didn't use me, in fact may be it is the other way round. If you check, you will notice that the people we went after were actually Obasanjo's people. Alamiyeseigha was very close to the President. Odili was also very close to him. Saminu Turaki was an Obasanjo man. I deliberately did not go after the opposition. Yes, we investigated Orji Kalu. We also investigated Bola Tinubu. I know the President's people would have wanted the EFCC to go after a man like Ken Nnamani. But we needed to start with the Obasanjo people to make a point that nobody is above the law. And that was why we investigated the President himself, And we went after his daughter. I was in Kuru then, but I knew about the Iyabo case. If we want to clean up our country, then let us do it. And that was why I went after Atiku. Atiku is from the same village with me. But Nigeria is more important. It belongs to all of us, not some powerful people."
in the field of football, ribadu can be termed a versatile player.  in nollywood he will act real. is ribadu telling us that we do not know who the obj boys are?
well, in case i do not know there names, i can include such people as;
Tony annenih - known with the contract of ibadan-benin expressway
Adedibu - the no one pdp tug whose house was the best place to keep inec machines
andy uba - a confirmed money laundry case in usa was turned to a civil case by ribadu
chris uba - he represented obj well in anambra that he went to the extent of removing a sitting gov who he later confessed to rigged into power
fani kayode - now singing a new song
borrishade - the calamity minister aka mr. corruption
bode george - the man who ruined nigeria ports authroty without a crime.

if there is anything ribadu needs to do to cleaning up the mess, it is a confession and appology to the people of nigeria who believed so much in him.

the investigation and persecution of nigerian politicians are simple in the sense that non of them can say the source of the funds used in building their residentials houses alone talkless of their uncountable investments.

i know of a lawyer who lived with his father all the days of his profession untill when he became a house member in 1999. his residential house i talk to u now is worth nothing less than N200 million and this is only in the village.

simple, invite such man, let him bring his bank accounts, trace payments and withdrawals and relate them to the house and the time frame for the building.

achike udenwa was a gov under ribadu and is a minister under yar adua. why? he was the first gov to endorse obj for third tenure. why is kalu always the criminal? ribadu in various interviews call kalu criminal without going to court and that is against the constitution of nigeria which made an accused innocent until proffed guilty but to ribadu, kalu was guilty until the day he will say sorry to obj.

if ribadu likes, he could go ahead and write 21 books but he must not forget to tell nigerians why the man who was to context with iyabo obasanjo was probed even when the contestant had never in the history of nigeria held any public office.

buba marwa was invited by ribadu when he wanted to context for presient and the only condition was, drop ur ambition or we will probe u. we all saw warwa dropped his ambition and today marwa is an ambassadore.

ribadu might be a good man but he has to accept the fact that he was used. information on how he dropped the charges against bode george are all there.

@unipol,
who is uwazuluike? whether internet is free or not, we will not allow u to spell names in ur own ways.
we have decided to forgive and overlook ur grammertical imbalances but for igbo names, no way. u must learn how to use ur L and R.

the era of offroad(oofload), ladio(radio), randrord(landlord), ellor(error) etc is gone[/color]

is that why you have refused to learn when others are learning and think when others are thinking.
Bro Unipol,
becomrich said he is a yoruba and that he knows that uwazuruike is the leader. someothers said it is ojukwu while others believed it is kalu.
from the history of the ibos, there was not, there is not and it is possible there will not be a king.

i am surprised that becomerich could spell uwazuruike been a yorubaman while u as an iboman cannot spell that yet u want me to learn. what i have got to learn from ur type?

the one and the big mistake some wise men like u are making here is confussing biafra with igbo. they are two different groups. please note, ojukwu fought for the interests of biafra and uwazuruike is fighting for the emancipation of biafra - two of a type. orji uzor kalu was a former abia state governor who is trying to show his leadership characters beyong his state. looking at the activities of the three, kalu is more of fighting ibo course while the other two are fighting a wider course of biafra mostly designed to seceed from nigeria.

please stop this arguement otherwise i will be forced to ask the moderator of this forum to shift u and ur group to the kiddies forum where u can display ignorance without caution. please let luka1981 know abt this.

by the way, is possible this luka1981 was born in 1981 but still at that, he is not that small to know simple history.
