RomanceRe: Why are Women Not Crazy About Tall Men? by Chigszy(f): 4:39pm On May 25, 2005
osascool
"Ladies are crazy about tall guys becos believe it or not it make them know the guy is in charge which they like, most girls would prefer guys to be in control of a relationship and been taller than the girl is the first step of being in charge. "

I so disagree with you. i would not like the guy to be incharge of the relationship. infact in my relationship we both would be in charge. it would be a mutual thing. i personally can not stand a dominating male!!!!

i think tht the tall thing is more like the norm. it is wht and how itis has always been, i mean 99.9% of the time, the man is taller. it is wht society has made us think n feel and see as the normal thing...
FashionRe: Every Nigerian Girl Is A Model These Days by Chigszy(f): 7:26pm On May 24, 2005
Say it like it is girl. to know a pretty person you have got to see them without make up because coasmetic does do wonders i mean anyone would look good once they are all made up!! that is why i marvel at all these teenagers that are so captivated by these celebrities i mean they think that those are real, but they have no idea how many hours of making up that had been done and then they stress themselves up if they do not look like their favourite celebrity!! i thinl that is sooooooooo sad!! i mean have they really seen them without make up? then look sickly!!!! shocked all these peopl are normal
RomanceRe: Why are Women Not Crazy About Tall Men? by Chigszy(f): 7:21pm On May 24, 2005
Well, I am a tall girl - abou 5" 7 and a half - so I do need a tall guy (but if it is that bad than the guy should he same height) but I would not date a guy shorter than me shocked. Just ain't my thing (personal preferences)
RomanceRe: Your Lover Slaps You During an Argument by Chigszy(f): 7:17pm On May 24, 2005
First of all he dares not slap me! But if he does I will hit him back and my back is all he is going to be looking at after that, unless he comes crawling back and asking for forgiveness. And make sure that he means it!

It is not manly for a man to hit a woman; it shows weakness and no proper training. Unacceptable!

TV/MoviesJust Finished Watching 'American Visa' (Nollywood movie) by Chigszy(op): 7:09pm On May 24, 2005
Which character did you like the most? Titus or his nephew?

Guys did you all get to watch that movie? It was hilarious. I could not stop laughing at the stupidity of his nephew (name when translated means death, I can not really spell the Igbo name) especially when Titus told him to tell the land lord that he was not around or when he was caught with the condom ...

Anyway I also like Titus. Who did you guys like? And what did you think of the movie?
LiteratureRe: What do you think of Chinua Achebe? Wole Soyinka? by Chigszy(f): 6:52pm On May 24, 2005
Is this a coincedence, i just finished reading 'things fall apart" well i decided to read it again because i was a kid when i read it and i wanted to re read it. well after i was done i was like ok what was so great about the novel?!! i mean it was all that captivating but i guess it just showed the other side of the story oh how the caucasians destroyed the life and culture of the africans. but i love okonkwo's strength, though i thought he would have been a lot more gentle to his family... and killing the kid.... well i guess that was how it was done then....
TV/MoviesRe: i just love star wars!!! dont you? by Chigszy(f): 6:46pm On May 24, 2005
I am not a star wars fan. and i heard that the latest one that just came out was a dissapointment. (but that depends on who reported to me ...) a couple of my friends say it and they did not like it.

TV/MoviesRe: African American Movies by Chigszy(f): 6:42pm On May 24, 2005
I love African American movies, expecially action or comedy movies! Hilarious!

About XXX2, I still think that Vin Diesel was a better actor!! Men that guy is fine (with a capital letter)! But there is rumour that he is gay? I am like, "why are all the good one's gay?" angry, sad (i.e. if he really is or if all the guys are just jealous about his package?) Men, that body is fine too!
CareerRe: Office Romance: Would you date your colleague? by Chigszy(f): 6:37pm On May 24, 2005
Personally i would not like to date a colleauge. I mean i would not even like to date someone from the same church as myself! (i have no reason why, it is i just want to leave it at that)
RomanceRe: Difference Between 'Love' and 'Like' by Chigszy(f): 6:34pm On May 24, 2005
Love has different meaning but people tend to misuse it. We use "I love you" everyday, so it has become just another word. This is because we do not stop to take in the meaning of the word.

"I love you" is different. "I am in love with you" is a whole lot different. If we do not mean it, we do not say it. What is the point of saying it just to make the other person happy even though you know you do not feel what you re saying? Be sinciere, that is all.

I rather a guy tell me that he likes me. I mean, yes, we women (also men) love to hear the significant other say those magic words but I rather a guy tell me he likes me a lot or cares about me and I know that he means it than he tells me that he loves me and I think that he really does when on the other hand he was just trying to make me feel happy!!

That hurts even more, so let's use the magic word when we really mean it (or you could tell the significant other that you have 'fallen in love' with them when you really mean it).
RomanceRe: Nigerian Girls and their love for Recharge Cards by Chigszy(f): 6:25pm On May 24, 2005
Men I do not know why you all are finding it difficult.. it is simple, ...
Girl: she flashes you (LOL Seun you get what I am laughing at ...) for the recharge card
Boy: "Say NO!"

Boys just learn to control yourself and you would save lots of money!!! you do not need to front your money to get attention!!!!! well but that is sad to say the world has changed. it is all about sex, money and girls.

It's about time we ladies take over (Oops, my bad, we have!) grin cheesy wink
RomanceRe: Why Won't a Girl Tell a Boy That She Likes Him? by Chigszy(f): 6:11pm On May 24, 2005
We like to study the man first and we do not want to appear pushy or desperate. So we keep it on the downlow.

But personally I have debated this with myself if I would actually tell a guy that I like him. But I guess it all depends. I have a friend that asked a guy out and they are still together.

I mean one other friend told me that guys love the "hunting and taunting" game; they love to work hard to get their women and that if a woman makes it easy for them then they do not think she is worth it and they loose interest. But that depends on the guy though.

I am still considering if I would tell a guy I like him. I guess I could if I do find the guy but it is going to talk lots of courage! (nah I think I can!)
FamilySex Education in the Family. by Chigszy(op): 7:39pm On May 22, 2005
Parents often find it hard to sit their children down and talk about sex, but I think that they ought to do so.

So my question is this: when do you guys think is the right age to teach kids about sex?
RomanceRe: Ladies: Would You Marry a Younger Man? by Chigszy(f): 11:30pm On May 10, 2005
Well, I will date a guy who is not more than 2 years older than me (depends though, but as I grow older I might increase that number to 4). So, no I will not marry a younger man.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Editing Posts by Chigszy(f): 12:00am On May 06, 2005
Well for one am not bothered if posts are edited but the thing is that we should keep the editing to minimum level is not people will feel that they are being imposed on. We are all different and we all speak and write differently. I am guilty of that. and if i see that a line that i have written has been cancelled off i mean that puts me off. because i feel that my opinion is not being appreciated. I mean we are all here to give our opinions. But i am not against it though just that we should keep it minimal. (THAT IS MY OPINION).
FamilyRe: Why Is The Man The Head Of The Family? by Chigszy(f): 11:55pm On May 05, 2005
Men are the head of the family because that is the way it had always been. But to bust your bubbles that is changing now. And i am in full support of the change!!
Nairaland GeneralRe: How to Promote Nairaland! by Chigszy(f): 11:49pm On May 05, 2005
letting people be free to speak their mind would be starter!!
Then letting nigerians not in nigeria feel welcomed to post topics.
I mean making them sign in as guests is not really welcoming they still feel that they are like outcasts.
promotion like offering some kind of service i do not know what yet but if we all put our heads together we could come up with something.

RomanceRe: How Romantic are Nigerian Men (and Women)? by Chigszy(f): 11:32pm On May 05, 2005
Sorry to say guys but nigerians are so un romantic!! i mean they try though but that just pisses you off because they are tryng to hard that it does not seem natural and they just say the weirdlest things thinking it is romantic.

Being romatic does not mean that either parties`has to spend huge amount of money and all that on each other. romance is in the little things that they do for each other.

Like when the lady wakes up and looks like shit the husband compliments her and says that she is gorgeous. being romantic is when you tell each other you love them each other out of the blue and really mean it. romantic is when the husband helps out and does the cooking to give the woman a rest (well for me d guy better know how to cooK because we r both gonna be doing the cooking) romantic is being there for each other and being proud of each other.

Being romantic is protecting each other and standing up for each other when the in laws get in the way and not letting each other be helplessly. romantic is when you are both old and you both compliment each other on how beautiful or handsome they look. romantic is being true to each other!!!! wow i could go on and on.

Hope i find a guy like that they are hard to come by this days embarassed
RomanceRe: How would you react if your lover ditched you to marry another person? by Chigszy(f): 2:58pm On May 05, 2005

RomanceRe: Will You Attend the Wedding of your Ex-lover Who Dumped You? by Chigszy(f): 2:46pm On May 05, 2005
Well it depends if i have a REALLY HOT MAN with me then i might consider going to the wedding. i mean the guy must have invited me of course then i will decide if to go or not. but if he did not invite me i WILL NOT invite myself no matter if the new guy i am with is drop dead gorgeous. else i am so going to flaunt my man!!! I will go so that he does not become the winner. i will show him that i am still surviving and i am doing REAL GOOD without him!
RomanceRe: How was your first date? by Chigszy(f): 4:45pm On Apr 22, 2005
Seun that is where you are wrong. I can not stand a guy who is not himself. And I would tell you right there and then that if you want to be with me or go out with me you have got to be like yourself. I can not stand dishonesty or trying to put up a show or fronting and all that because I will know when your are trying so hard to impress.

As for me, I like a guy who is also a friend. I mean we have fun together nothing so uptight or those uncomfortable moments. I like people to feel comfortable around me and I also encourage that. That is why I am open to any discussion and also the topics that I bring up kind of shock people because they want to talk about it but they just do not know how to go about it so I just help them out after all we are all adults.

Well my idea of a date, I do not want all those fancy places because I for one am an active person and sitting still for a longtime will just bore the hell out of me. I love to dance so our date could be, we drive thrrough a fast food restaurant and then we go clubbing or just to do something fun!!! like bowling or just any thing. I mean ok once in a while it would be good to go for a romantic dinner and all that. One thing all these fancy stuff do not really matter to me.

I mean simple good stuff make me feel good so I think that whoever I am going to date would be very lucky because I do not even like people paying for me so we would probably share the bills. Like I said he would also be a friend as well as a boyfriend so he would feel that awkward about us sharing the bills but I guess once in a while I will just let him pay to satisfy his male ego ...

It is all about the honesty. If you have anything to say to me better say it to my face. One thing iis that I ask questions that people are thrown off but that is just me. I mean, I am not rude or anything like that. It is just that they feel uncomfortable mentioning those so I just help them out.

When I go on a date I take it as hanging out I mean it is a mind set that I take up so that it does not seem that awkward but just that it is a little bit more than just hanging out at the same time ...
RomanceRe: Why do Celebrities have Relationship and Marital Problems? by Chigszy(f): 8:15pm On Apr 17, 2005
One of the failures are the press and fans. They start spreading gossip and then the whole thing escalates. And then they are pressured by the press and paparazzis. I mean but if they really love each other they should not let themsleves be driven to destruction but we are all humans and have our weakness. It is only the stongest that survive. That is why I love celebrities that sticks with the same partner.
EducationRe: Institutions of Learning by Chigszy(f): 8:04pm On Apr 17, 2005
Schools are not what they were. In the past, people learned just for the satisfaction that they were knowledgable. But now education is the way to ensure that at least you have got a good future. (not guaranted though). And exams I think are a waste of time.

We should be allowed to do more practical work than just merely studing from books. That is really boring! I think we all will learn more if we apply what we learned to professional world. I mean most of what we learned in school we hardly apply them when we start working ...

Christianity EtcRe: The NBC ban of unverified TV miracles in Nigeria by Chigszy(f): 7:52pm On Apr 17, 2005
i do believe in miracle no doubt about that but i think that a lot of people in nigeria are just using religion as a form of business. it is all for money gains. it is juat sad that a lot of these bad apples are also corrupting the image of the few good people. i mean i do believe in miracle but when i have seen a lot of these fakes when i do see something that might seem real, i have my doubts believeing in it. so i think that was a good call by the gov to take those show off the tv. a man of GOD should not only be oraising GOD so that people would be like he is a good person even if they are genuine, removing them from the screen should not affect their faith and practise. it is only hypocrasy if we only go in public to celebrate the gosple or good news so that people would be like yeah we r good people.
