Christianity Etc14 Tips On Child Training by chikachuks1(op): 6:41pm On May 27, 2018
In our various countries, I suppose that we have one or two days which is dedicated to the celebration of our children. If so be, it is important to know that intentionally or unintentionally, these celebrations are ways of reminding parents of their great responsibilities towards the proper upbringing of their children. We see that we live in a society that has decayed, both physically, socially, spiritually and otherwise. Yet, all these decays are pointers to the fact that we need to train our children before we loose them to the decayed societies. If we do not train them, we stand the risk of suffering greatly.
Mind you, every untrained child is a pollution to the society. The Bible instructs us in Proberbs.22:6 to “Train up our child in the way he should go so that when he is old, he will not depart from it.” I want to point out certain things that we out to do in order to train our children right. Perhaps, this article could go a long way in recovering the prodigal children.
1) Live by example: Every child is born into the family before the child begins to interact with the outside world, He/she grows up to know the parents. Therefore, it means that the parents are the first point of contact your children will have. Therefore, be whatever you want your children to be. Do not just train your children with endless lines of instructions. Instead, live the life and let them imitate you. The process of training a child is not as easy as a lot of people think. But this is the secret: your children will learn from you. Therefore live by example. If your instructions and teachings are contrary to your lifestyle, there will be a big gap which might not be easily filled. Therefore, do as you say.
2) Obey God: Next is that as a father or mother, you must seek to obey God. Every tree is identified by the fruit it bear. If your children seem to be disobedient, check up your own life to see if you are also disobedient before you begin punishing your children. Note that in Paul’s letter to Timothy in 2 Timothy.1:5, he said the same faith was in Lois and Eunice (His mother and grandmother) and in turn was transferred to him. Therefore, check up your life and watch against disobeying God’s instruction
3) Obey your spouse: You must also learn to obey your spouse. Husband love your wife. Wife be submissive to your husband. Both love and submission has to do with obedience. If you disobey your spouse and your children finds out, you tend to lose their respect. In a neighborhood where I once lived, I was told that the children of my neighbors had no respect. The younger talks to the elder anyhow. But on a closer look, I discovered that their mother had no respect for her husband. Then, my question is this, where are the children supposed to learn the respect from. You must respect your spouse if you want to win the respect of your children.
4) Start early: You must start early in this process of child training. Go into the life of child before the devil and the society comes in. A woman was asked her secret in the successful training of her children and she said, “I came before the devil”. It is never too early to start, but I assure you, it could be too late to start someday. Chasten the child while there is hope.
5) Discipline when necessary: If you want your child to give you joy in the future, then do not spare the rod. Discipline them when necessary. But make you’re your explain to them the reason for the discipline. We are in a generation where by using canes are no longer allowed. Teachers no longer flog students and pupils. Parents no longer flog their children. No wonder the society grows from bad to worse. If you love you child, once again, do not spare the rod.
6) Commend when necessary: As much as you discipline them for their wrong actions, commend and encourage them for their good actions. If possible, when they do good, take them to places, buy things for them, commend them, clap for them etc. These you must do in a bid to encourage them.
7) Show equal love: It is common in families that parents prefer some of the children to others for unjustifiable reasons best known to them. But this we must know that for us to train our children well, we must make sure we do it, showing equal love to all our children. If a child discovers that he is not loved like the other, he tends to be discouraged. Almost everything you do to him will appear as though you hate him. Therefore, show equal love to all your children.
cool Be prayerful: You must be prayerful. Sometimes, you do all you know you can do and yet there is no impart in the life of your child. Do not give up, use the weapon of prayer. If he escapes your instruction and discipline, he cannot escape your prayer. Why? Because there is nothing impossible for God to do.
9) No carnal comparison: So parents make the mistake of comparing their children with others. Or the compare between one child and the other. If that makes sense to you, then your sense is simply foolishness. If you are used to doing it, then truth be told, you are not training your children in the right way. Make them know they are unique, wonderfully and fearfully made. They can never be another person. They can only be themselves. Therefore quit every comparison, whether necessary or unnecessary.
10) Teach, guide and instruct them: You must teach them. You must instruct them. You must guide them. It’s your outmost responsibility to teach your children with the words of your mouth. Make sure that the words of your mouth are never misleading to your children. Instruct and teach them in godliness.
11) Know their friends: Bad companies corrupt good morals. If you do not check the kind of friends your children keep, you might be at risk at the end. Their bad friends will corrupt all the good virtues and values you have been trying to inculcate into your children. Therefore, know there friends. As much as possible, ask them to bring their friend home. By so doing, you will be able to check mate your children. Also, they will also know that you are interested in their total life.
12) Build up their confidence in you: You must make sure you build up their confidence in you. It will be very bad and disastrous if your children lose confidence in you. They will no longer be able to confide in you. Thus, you lose them to the vices and bad advisers.
13) Be their friend: Strive to be their friend. Not just their friend, but their best friend. Build up a relationship with your children. Not just father to son or mother to daughter. But friend to friend. With this the relationship in the family will be enhanced. Though you must make sure to set boundaries, lest they abuse the friendship
14) Play your role in the family: You must play your own role. Do you want your children to play their own role in the family? Then you must be the first to play your own role. As a father, what are your responsibilities? As a mother, what are your responsibilities? Make sure you play your own roles effectively before you expect your children to play their own roles.
At this point, let me conclude by saying that any child not trained will end up disgracing the family. If they commit a crime in the society, it will end up spoiling the name of the family. Eventually, if you do not train your children aright, you are at risk. Because it is on you and the family that most of their bad attitudes will be executed. With God, all things are possible. Therefore, strive to do your best and God will come in.
Christianity EtcBishops In England Advocates For Gay Leadership by chikachuks1(op):
Four bishops in the Anglican church in Lichfield have written in a letter, that gay people should be allowed to take up leadership roles in church. They believe that it is only immaturity on the part of the church to exclude gay people from occupying leadership positions in the body of Christ.

They also stated in the letter that the church should desist from the act of questioning people about sexuality at the verge of choosing leaders. “Nobody should be told that their sexual or gender identity in itself makes them an unsuitable candidate for leadership in the Church,” it reads.

It goes on to note that “intrusive questioning about someone’s sexual practices or desires, or their experience of gender, is almost always inappropriate. It is also unacceptable to tell or insinuate to people that sexual orientation or gender identity will be changed by faith, or that homosexuality or gender difference is a sign of immaturity or a lack of faith.

It first praised “the great contribution that LGBT+ Christians are making” before saying, “we wish to affirm that LGBT+ people can be called to roles of leadership and service in the local church.

“We want to make clear that nobody should be excluded or discouraged from receiving the Sacraments of Baptism or the Lord’s Supper on the grounds of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Note that in all cases excommunication is reserved to the diocesan bishop,” stated the letter.

Christianity EtcA Sincere Prayer From A Sincere Heart by chikachuks1(op):
This is my sincere prayer from my sincere mind.

Lord chastise and train me for your service.

Use every medium at your disposal to train and cook me for your work,

Though they might not be conducive for me, yet do not withhold it from me,

Though it might seem as though I cannot bear it, yet train me,

I might cry and plead for the burden to be made light, yet please, turn deaf ears to my cry,

Do not withhold the rod, else i would definitely get spoilt.

Many might see it as a punishment for my sins and begin intercession for me, Lord please do not answer their prayer.

For I know that in the end, it will turn out for my own good,

Though the fire burns vehemently, yet the more the heat of the fire, the faster the gold gets purified.

Though the breeze blows as if it will carry me away, yet the more the breeze, the faster the winnowing.

Though it seems as if I may drown in the water, yet the more the water, the easier will I be washed.

Train me and do not withhold any available tool from the training process.

Because of the hardship, I might be force to seek your face more and more, I might be forced to quote every available bible passage, I might be force to remind you of all your precious promises, yet Lord provided that in the end, it will be for my good, please do not pay attention to my pleading.

Take me through all the process of refinement.

The raw gold in the furnace does not smile while been purified.

Therefore I must surely not smile at your training.

Yet Lord keep training me. For I know that the tougher the training, the deeper my root in you.

Not for ease or worldly pleasure, not for fame my prayer shall be,
Gladly will i toil and suffer only let me walk with thee.

for i know that Jesus had to put on the thorny crown before the heavenly golden crown.

For I know that the more unfriendly the training becomes, the more purified I will come out.

For I know that the more fierce the training becomes, the more spiritual strength I develop.

Pass me through the fire and purify me from every besetting sin.

Pass me through the water, no matter how deep it might be and wash me through and through

Let the wind blow so that the chaff in my life will be separated from the wheat.

If I do not pass through these processes, I might not become anything useful in your hand.

If I do not pass through this process, I might be overtaken with pride at the sight of every miracle.

If I do not undergo these training, I am sure I will end badly.

Therefore Lord, use every tool at your disposal to train me.

Only help me to endure it to the very end.

Only help me to understand that it is your own way of training me.

Only help me not to turn away from you.

Only help me not to go about looking for an easy way out for myself.

If it is adversity, bring it. If it is poverty, bring it. If it is sickness, bring it.

But do not forget to be my strength.

For I know that in the end, it will turn out for my joy.

For I know that these light afflictions which is but for a moment, works in me a more excellent weight of glory.

For I know that in the end, I will be happy you trained me through the hard way.

If you do not train me through the hard way, I might not esteem you high.

If you do not train me through the hard way, I will think that Christianity is a bed of roses.

Therefore Lord train me and I will come out as a refined and purified gold.

For it is only when the gold has been thoroughly refined that the value will be known.

Dear Lord, this is my sincere heart desire. Make no easy way for me.

If it is the wilderness, may I pass through it only give me the needed grace.

I know you will do this for through Jesus Christ my LORD.

EducationHow To Start Your Campus Business by chikachuks1(op): 2:01pm On May 17, 2018
In this article, I want to teach you how to startup your own business while on campus. To start with, campus businesses are indeed great endeavors that has help thousands of students across many campuses to gain financial freedom as an undergraduate. The campus environment provides a good and conducive environment to run virtually any kind of business you want to. Therefore, as I give you the guideline on how to start up your own business while on campus, make up your mind to give it a trial. Although I will only end up deceiving you by saying that my recommendations are the best. Or by saying that you must make it if you follow my recommendations. Truth is that different strokes for different folks.

Permit me to tell you that countless opportunities abound in the campus environment which a hardworking student can take advantage of. For more information on this, read my article titled “ 12 Campus Businesses You Can Do" https://infoducation.com.ng/2018/04/07/campus-business/”. If you are not satisfied and need more feel free to chat me up on whatsapp via 07064635053

Reasons why campus business works well

1) The campus environment is a compact environment
In the campus, depending on the institution, you have about 15,000 students or more in a given location. With this, your target market might not be hard to locate.

2) Your product will be needed
Once again, read my article titled “12 Businesses to do in Campus”. You will find out that as much as infoducation wants you to succeed in your campus business, yet there are businesses that are more profitable than the others. If you take a thorough survey and start up a business relevant to the campus, your product or service will be needed. Hence the market will look for you instead of you looking for the market.

3) Low competition
In the campus, you stand to enjoy low competition which is almost monopoly. The reason is because most students are CGPA conscious and as such will have no time for business. Hence you will have a large market at your disposal.

4) Fellow students will support you
You will enjoy the support and patronage of your fellow students. They will gladly patronize you if they know you are a student like them.

How to start your campus business

Let us head straight to the subject before us today. What are those things to be considered before venturing into a campus business? Seeing that there are lots of opportunities in the campus market, you will end up been an unwise business man if you do not take some things into consideration. Below are few recommendations on what to consider and do before delving into the business.

Check your capital

How much do you have to startup the business? The fortunate thing is that you do not need all the money in the world to start up your own campus business. Truth be spoken, a little less than your school fee can go a long way in starting something, no matter how small it might be. Suppose you do not have any money to do this, I recommend that you borrow from friends, family, relations, etc. Although, you will need a thorough work on convincing them about the success of your business. Also, you will need as well to convince them that you will not remove your attention from your studies.

But let me recommend this to you. I know it is a very hard and risky advice to take. If you are sure your business will work out very well on the long run, stake your school fees for it. Risky? Yes really risky.Entrepreneurship in a whole is all about your ability to take risk. We have seen many students who blindly stake their school fee into bettings and Ponzi schemes. Most times, they end up wasting their money foolishly. This indeed is a blind investment. But if you are confident about your business, then go ahead and stake your school fee. If it works out fine, you will not regret that you did.

Check your ability

I hereby come to the second point in a bid to help you start up your campus business. What are your abilities, strength and weaknesses? Now that you want to start up your own campus business, what exactly do you want to do? Have you read the article I recommended for you on some campus business? If yes, probably you feel you can venture into any of them. Or better still, you have what you want to do which was not listed in the article. You must check within yourself so as to know if you can do it.

As much as I earlier stated that entrepreneurship is all about taking risks, yet some risks are not worth it. You must check to be sure that it is something you can do in order not to waste your resources. Look within yourself, you know what you can do and what you cannot do. Then, from there, check out if your chances of succeeding in that business outweighs you chances for failure.

Study your environment

Another thing to be considered so importantly is your environment. There are certain businesses that cannot thrive in some environments. Therefore study your environment very well. Know your environment thoroughly. Then you will be able to know what kind of business can thrive and bring in much proceeds for you. Since businesses are always profit oriented, you need constant and quick turn over. This can only be possible if you give us what we want. There is no way you sell a product that I don’t need and still expect me to buy it. For example, in the campus environment, it will be easier for you to run an education or scholarship blog than to run a fashion blog.

Build your idea

As much as I have earlier stated that you must check your abilities, yet you must not just stop there. Build up that your little idea. Develop it. Be innovative. If you can build up your little idea, you will find out that that stuff which started as little can end up putting food on your table for the rest of your life. For example, Google started as a final year project. But there is no way it would have started as a final year project and just jump to where it is now. It underwent series of building efforts, innovation and improvement. Therefore, build upon that your idea. Maybe the business has already started, yet you must keep building up the idea for profitable expansion.

Proper Networking

Another point for consideration before us tonight is the subject of thorough networking. Your campus business needs a high level of customer base for it to turn in much and expected cash. Thorough networking will help your customers locate you easily. Since you are a student and your target market comprises of students, then you cannot just fold your hands and expect things to fall into place automatically. Make friends with those students and let them know what you do. If you run a business center that does printing and photocopy, then you must make friends with as many course representatives as possible. They will indeed bring the jobs for you.

Christianity EtcProud Mother Of Leah Sharibu Asks For Continued Prayer For Her Daughter by chikachuks1(op): 5:16pm On May 07, 2018
The mother of a Nigerian Christian schoolgirl (Leah Sharibu) who was been kidnapped by Islamic radical group Boko Haram has said that she is proud of her daughter for not denouncing Jesus, while a classmate shared hopes that God might use her to turn her attackers to Christ.

“I am so proud of my Leah Sharibu because she did not denounce Christ,” the mother, Rebecca Sharibu, said of her daughter, 15-year-old Leah Sharibu, in an article posted by Open Doors USA last week.

“And because of that, I know God will never forsake her. When she went away to school, I gave her a copy of the Bible so she could have her personal devotions even when I am not there. As her mother, I know her to be an obedient daughter, respectful and someone who puts others before herself.”

Leah Sharibu was one of over 100 schoolgirls kidnapped from a secondary school in the town of Dapchi during a Boko Haram raid in February. While all of the other schoolgirls have been freed, she remains the lone student still in captivity.

What is more, testimonies have emerged revealing that Leah Sharibu was offered her freedom by the radicals if she denounced her faith, but she has refused to do so.

http://www.christianityupdate.com/blog/leah-sharibu/

Sharibu recalled her terror on the night of the attack when she found out that her daughter had been taken, but said she is finding courage in the prayers of Christians from around the world.

“I want to plead that Christians not grow tired of praying for her — ’til she returns,” the mother said.

“My heart is heavy but joyful in this trial because my Leah Sharibu refused to denounce Christ, just as our church says, ‘being joyful in suffering.’ My encouragement is this: I know that even if Leah is dead, she is with the Lord.”

Affodia Andrawus, a 19-year-old Christian classmate of Leah’s, who witnessed the raid firsthand but managed to escape, said she has faith that God will use her friend for a higher purpose.

“I believe that God allowed Leah Sharibu to be the only Christian that was abducted for a reason — so that through her, the world and even her abductors would come to know Christ. Leah indeed has spread the Gospel to all the world,” the girl said.

Andrawus also attested to Leah’s strong character.

“No matter how much Leah is mistreated or insulted by other students, she will never retaliate. Instead, Leah will look for a way to make peace with everyone,” she shared.

“If anyone is sick among the Christians, Leah Sharibu is always the first to go and greet and pray for that person,” Affodia said. “Her life is really an example for all to follow.”

CareerRe: Things To Consider Before Choosing A Career by chikachuks1(op): 1:25pm On Apr 29, 2018
DChriz:
This is a topic that should go beyond here. I see a bigger picture where we can volunteer to discuss this in secondary schools. I know of a program called "Catch Them Young" which is targeted at secondary school students to understand the rudiments of Engineering (i.e Problems that Engineering has solved thereby opening their minds beyond the classroom).

Back to the subject: I am a product of Passion and doggedness, I was denied Engineering severally but I kept trying against the odds even with parents denial to throw me off because I became talk of town: I got that same course, graduated top of my class and currently practicing. I believe if it was not engineering I wont be relevant.
Nice one sir how can i get more information about the catch them young program. Perhaps if you can chat me up on whatsapp via 07064635053
CareerThings To Consider Before Choosing A Career by chikachuks1(op): 3:56pm On Apr 28, 2018
From your primary school days, you have always thought of a career and profession where you can fit into. From medicine to economics to automobile engineer to mechanical engineer to electrical engineer but finally, I studied Information Management Technology (IMT) in Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) and yet I am not regretting it.

In trying to pick a career, there are lots of considerations in order not to make the wrong choice. Many people get admission into higher institutions but not to study the course of their choice. My advice to every upcoming and prospective student is to patiently wait, pursue your dream at all cost.

Let me ask you a question. What is your intention for going to school? I discovered that most people go to tertiary institutions just to be referred to as a graduate. Many people just go and study any course they are been given. It’s not supposed to be so. Have a plan and a direction in your life and it will help you a great deal. Plan your life and follow your plan. That’s all I can say. There are a lot of factors that can influence your choice of career some of which are outlined below.

Your Passion

The greatest influencing factor of success is to pursue your passion. Your passion is a burning desire that cannot be quenched except it has been achieved. Everyone has a unique vacuum he/she is to fill. When this vacuum is discovered, it arouses the passion for fulfillment. With passion, you work hard to make sure that your destiny is fulfilled. I met a young man who according to him, gets so annoyed whenever he hears that someone died and in most cases as a result of an avoidable carelessness. This aroused that passion to save lives and as such, he decided to study medicine and surgery in order to save as few as he can and as many as he can. Passion for saving lives was the propeller.

There was also another lady who had a dream of becoming a mouth of the poor and oppressed. She wanted to defend the law and stand tall for justice and this led her to study law. Passion initiated and influenced her choice. All the most celebrated football stars today were stared up by their passion for soccer. Some of them started as early as before age 10. You might have seen some of them in your area carrying their soccer boot every evening and Saturday morning and you might think that they do not have any plan for their lives. You might think that they are only wasting their lives but it is not so, these young boys know what they are pursuing. Their passion is simply what they are pursuing.

Do you think that there is anything that when you are been given the opportunity to do, you will do better than the people who did it previously? That could be your passion. The passion to do things better is the basic backbone of innovation and technology. Never pursue a career because other want you to. You will be the one spending half of your life at the job, therefore pursue your passion. Oprah Winfrey said, “make it your intention to serve through your life with purpose you will have a blessed life”.

Your Advisers
Your advisers could also influence your choice of preferred career of study. When we are surrounded with godly and reasonable advisers, we tend to move in the right direction. For example, I planned studying electrical or mechanical engineering in higher institution but my brother advised me on the importance and relevance of Information Management Technology, which I adhered to his advice and currently, I owe it no regret.

Mind you, you are the person to choose the course of field that interests you since it’s your life and not anyone else. But in choosing your career, you must also give heed to advice from elderly ones who have gone before you. Their responsibility is just to advice you, not to force or compel you into what was not initially your intension.

May I use this opportunity to correct the error some parents make. Some parents tend to decide what their child would study. They believe that since they are the ones to bear the financial responsibility, therefore, the child must study whatever they tell them to. That’s wrong, even God who is the master of us all never compels anyone to do anything but rather permits us to make our own choice. Advice the child only and let him make his own choice because he will be the one facing the rudiments of that profession and not you. Young one, listen to advice and take counseling but weigh them accurately and appropriately and then go with the right advice. Probably, it might be the same with your passion.

To Solve A Problem.

There are lots of problems in our environment and nation, ranging from sickness to poverty to inadequate technology as the list continues. Therefore trying to proffer solution to any of these problems could also influence your decision on your course of study. There is no environment without a problem and there is no problem without a solution. You could be the solution provider or problem solver.

Discovering a problem with the goal of solving it will make you more focused than you would have been because you are studying the course not just for the passion or because of advisers but because you want to solve a problem. In a bid to be a solution provider, there are three thing to take to heart viz; yearn, learn and then earn. To yearn means to have a strong desire. Desire that a problem could be solved through you.

Learn everything needed to provide solution to that problem. To learn means to gather knowledge about something. When you yearn, then you learn. Get a lot of relevant materials that will aid you in acquiring the needed knowledge and after you must have learnt enough and deployed your knowledge, the next thing is to earn. There has never been a solution provider at any level that never made money through his/her innovation. Many of the multi billion naira businesses that exist in our country today make their money by solving a problem. When you solve a problem, those who benefits from the solution you provide will in turn pay for the service.

Available Opportunities
Bill Clinton said, “the future is full of challenges but there are even more opportunities”. Another factor that could influence your choice of career and course of study is the opportunities available. This will need someone who has fore sight (the ability to see far) to be able to predict the opportunity that will be readily available soon so as to start preparing in time. Have you observed that things move in trend? Twenty years ago, engineers were most sort after because of their relevance in the society and industries.

Currently, people with computer skill and knowledge are now the most sort after. In the near future, another aspect of Information Technology will be relevant whereby if you rely on the skill you have currently without upgrading, you will become irrelevant and obsolete. For example, we are in the era of application development in which if you are good in any programming language you are good to go.

Opportunities abound everywhere and every time but it is only few that sees it. Also, in this 21st century, the fashion industry is having its greatest boom in history and as such, there is much money to be made through fashion and design. No wonder we have many graduates today who after spending about 4 years and more in the higher institution still condescend low to learn tailoring. This is another great opportunity. Also in this era, the use of electronic devices has increased greatly, therefore people who are involved in the repair of this electronic devices turn in great fortunes daily.

Christianity EtcCatholic Bishops Calls For Buhari’s Resignation by chikachuks1(op): 4:30pm On Apr 27, 2018
The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) has called for President Muhammadu Buhari’s resignation over the incessant killings across the country by Islamic group.

In a reaction to the recent killings in Benue state where suspected herdsmen attacked Saint Ignatius Catholic Church, and killed 17 people, including two priests, the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) said Mr. Buhari’s handling of the killings appears to show his connivance with the suspected killers.

According to the statement signed by the president of the CBCN and Catholic Arch Bishop of Benin, Augustine Akubeze, the CBCN wants President Buhari to “stop presiding over the killing field that Nigeria has become”.

“We have received with deep shock, sorrow and utter horror, the gruesome, grisly and dastardly murder of two Catholic priests along with fifteen of their parishioners in the early hours of the morning of Tuesday 24 April 2018. These innocent souls met their untimely death in the hands of a wicked and inhuman gang of the rampaging and murderous terrorists, who have turned the vast lands of the Middle belt and other parts of Nigeria into a massive graveyard. Their unrestrained mayhem has become a metaphor for the untimely death that is now the fate of many of our fellow citizens today.

“That our two priests, Fr Joseph Gor and Fr Felix Tyolaha, along with their parishioners were waylaid in the course of the celebration of the Holy Mass early in the morning, suggests very clearly that their murder was carefully planned. This wicked act cannot be said to be a revenge attack (as is often claimed), for whom have these priests attacked?

“Indeed we have just discovered that on January 3 this year, Fr Gor tweeted: “We are living in fear. The Fulanis are still around here in Mbalom (where they were killed). They refuse to go. They still go grazing around. No weapons to defend ourselves.” Their desperate cries for security and help went unheeded by those who should have heard them. They could have fled, but, true to their vocation, they remained to continue to serve their people right unto death.

“Since the President who appointed the Heads of the nation’s Security Agencies has refused to call them to order, even in the face of the chaos and barbarity into which our country has been plunged, we are left with no choice but to conclude that they are acting a script that he approves of.

“If the President cannot keep our country safe, then he automatically loses the trust of the citizens. He should no longer continue to preside over the killing fields and mass graveyard that our country has become.”

The catholic bishops said the President has failed to heed various calls to act drastically towards ensuring an end to the mayhem. The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) blamed part of the problem on the federal government’s decision to appoint heads of security agencies, mainly from one of Nigeria’s major religions.

“Repeated calls from us and many other Nigerians on the President to take very drastic and urgent steps to reverse this ugly tragedy that threatens the foundation of our collective existence and unity as a nation, have fallen on deaf ears. It is clear to the nation that he has failed in his primary duty of protecting the lives of the Nigerian citizens. Whether this failure is due to inability to perform or lack of political will, it is time for him to choose the part of honour and consider stepping aside to save the nation from total collapse.”

“We are sad. We are angry. We feel totally exposed and most vulnerable. Faced with these dark clouds of fear and anxiety, our people are daily being told by some to defend themselves. But defend themselves with what? The Federal Government, whose primary responsibility it is to protect lives, for its part alleges that those who ask the people to defend themselves are inciting them to take the laws into their hands. But how can the Federal Government stand back while its security agencies deliberately turn a blind eye to the cries and wails of helpless and armless citizens who remain sitting ducks in their homes, farms, highway and now, even in their sacred places of worship?

“For over two years now, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference, along with many other well-meaning Nigerians, have consistently asked the President to rethink the configuration of his security apparatus and strategy. Along with millions of Nigerians, we have expressed our lack of confidence in the security agencies, which the President has deliberately placed in the hands of the adherents of only one religion.

“On February 8 this year, when we paid the President a courtesy call, we raised alarm over the security of the nation and the spate of violence perpetrated with impunity by people who have neither respect for the value of human life nor regard for the laws of our country, urging him to take the most drastic steps to stem the tide of this evil in our land. Since then, the bloodletting and the destruction of homes as well as farmlands have increased in intensity and brutality. Now, our Churches have been desecrated and our people murdered on their altars.”

The statement said the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) feels violated and betrayed by the current leadership’s handling of security situations. It called on Nigerians to defend themselves, while urging the federal government to stop disarming Nigerians, since ‘military operatives cannot protect the people’.

“As leaders, we have consistently asked our people to remain peaceful and law-abiding, even in the face of the worst form of provocation. Today, we Christians feel violated and betrayed in a nation that we have all continued to sacrifice and pray for. We collectively feel abandoned and betrayed.

“We call on all Nigerians to hold their heads high and stand for their fundamental right to life and security. Government should encourage and empower citizens to secure themselves and their environments. This is not the time to disarm people with legally procured weapons of self-defence. These are not normal times since those we pay to protect us have failed to do their duty. Nigeria can return to normal times if we put our heads together with sincerity.”

EducationHow To Graduate With A Nice CGPA After A Poor Start by chikachuks1(op): 4:41pm On Apr 23, 2018
Hello students! In this article, I want to show you how you can still make a good result even if you had a very poor beginning. CGPA stands for Cumulative Grade Point Average. In secondary schools, the terminal results are been calculated by using grades or average points. But in the university, it is calculated by using CGPA. It is with CGPA that we ascertain the result you graduate with. Either first class, second class upper, second class lower, third class or pass. To start with, there are many things that can affect your result at the beginning of your studies. Some of them are listed below.

Late admission
In many of our institutions today, we see that during admission, the institution releases about three or more lists at different times. With this, we see that the students who made it to the first least are of a higher advantage than those who made it at the last list. Most times, we see that the last lists are release within 6 weeks or less than to the examination. Under this condition, we see that most of the students who made it to the last list stand a chance of having a very poor result at the end of that semester.

Not been organized
We also see that once you are offered admission into the institution, the next thing is to start clearance immediately. The clearance processes are too cumbersome and hectic as it will lead to you missing lots of lectures. Under this condition, we see that having a poor CGPA at this beginning might be inevitable.

Lack of seriousness
If you understand the campus environment well, you will discover that most times, freshmen spend more time flexing. Many of them use this medium to begin to misbehave because they have not been to a higher institution before. As such lesser attention will be paid to their studies.

I could go on and on to list out reasons why students have a poor but for more information on that, anticipate my book by September titled, “The Tough Minded Youth”. In this book I provided more and deep explanations on many of these issues. Therefore, for the purpose of this article, let me briefly list out few things you can do to get back to your feet after a poor start in year one. I do not know how your institution compile their results and the number of units per course. But from my institution (Federal University of Technology Owerri), year one courses carry the highest credit loads.

It is in year one that you determine how your graduating CGPA will look like. But amidst all odds, many people has broken this tide. I also broke the tide and made a better CGPA at graduation. But truth be told, I did not graduate with the kind of CGPA I wanted because the principles I am about to discuss here, I discovered them late. I discovered them in my 300 level. This means that I wasted my 100 and 200 level. But you can learn from my mistake. At the end of my 200 level, I had a CGPA of 2.38 but on graduation, I was a comfortable 3 pointer. Here are my tricks and recommendations.

Wake up to the reality
To start with, what brought you to the institution? Truth be told, It is studies. If you involved yourself in lots of activities that distracted you at the beginning, it is time to cut off some of them. It is time to wake up to the reality that it is your studies that brought you to school. Wake up and face the reality. Focus your strength on your studies which is your primary reason for going to school. If you have slept until now and you keep sleeping, you will end badly and even worse than you began. So wake up.

Plan yourself
One of the reasons why year one results are not always good for many people is the lack of adequate planning. Lots of running around and many other things. They take your time and end up making you lose focus. Someone said, “He who fails to plan, plans to fail”. Many times we feel that we are too busy with lots of activities. But it is not really so. It is just that we have not planned ourselves well so that our activities will be organized. If you can plan yourself very well, you will find out that you will execute all your daily tasks yet more time will still be left.

In planning yourself, develop a strong and easy-to-follow action plan that will help you stay guided daily. In the campus, you will find out that most of the best students are the busy type. The only fact is that their life is more organized and planned than the others

Christianity EtcHappy Birthday To Reinhard Bonnke by chikachuks1(op): 9:08am On Apr 19, 2018
The world renowned Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke celebrates his 78 birthday today. He was born on 19 April 1940 in Königsberg, East Prussia, Germany. He was born again at the age of nine after his mother spoke with him about the punishment for a sin he committed, unless Jesus saved him. He felt a call to preach the gospel in Africa at the age of 10 and says that he had the experience of Baptism in the Holy Spirit. He is the son of a pastor and ex-serviceman in the German Army who initially did not take Bonnke’s call to preach the gospel seriously.

Reinhard Bonnke studied at The Bible College of Wales in Swansea, where he was inspired by the director Samuel Rees Howells. In one meeting after Howells spoke of answered prayer, Reinhard Bonnke prayed, “Lord, I also want to be a man of faith. I want to see your way of providing for needs.” After graduation, he pastored in Germany for seven years. He began his ministry in Africa, with which he is principally identified, preaching in Lesotho in 1967.

He has subsequently held evangelical meetings across the continent. After graduating from the Bible College of Wales and returning to Germany, Reinhard Bonnke led a series of crusade meetings in Rendsburg. He began receiving speaking invitations from all around Germany and the rest of the world. Reinhard Bonnke met Anni Schulze at a gospel music festival, and admired the grace with which she recovered from a wrongly pitched music performance at the expense of losing the competition. He offered to preach at the church she attended one Sunday and fell in love with her.

He did his farewell crusade in Nigeria from November 8 – 12, 2017. Currently, Christ for all Nation is handled by Daniel Colenda who is the successor of Reinhard Bonnke

NYSCWhat You Need To Know About Orientation Camp by chikachuks1(op):
I write this article for the benefit of all prospective corps members in the country. The NYSC orientation camp exercise is indeed a sweet but tedious experience. Mind you, NYSC period is not a time to behave and involve yourself into various negative lifestyles. Although it has a lot of fun attached to it because it is once in a lifetime experience. As someone who was formally in corps member in Uburu, Ohaozara L.G.A. Ebonyi state of Nigeria, I have lots of practical knowledge on how the orientation camp looks like. Therefore, I want to use this opportunity to throw more light on the camping exercise what you expect and what is expected of you.

To start with, it is important to know that the NYSC scheme is divided into 4 parts which are; Orientation camp, Place of primary assignment, Community development service and passing out parade. We will work on bringing relevant articles on each of these arms. But for now, this article addresses Orientation camp. The orientation camp is the first stage of the NYSC scheme which starts within less than a week after printing your call up letters.

The resumption into the camp takes place within the first two day of the exercise. Thus, registration begins immediately. The registration ends around 12 mid night of the second day. Therefore, it is advised that as much as possible, no matter how far or near you stay from the camp, try to avail yourself on the very first day. If you miss the registration on the first day, you can register on the second day. But if you miss the registration on the second day, the portal closes and never to be opened. Therefore, at this point, the only available option is to go back home and wait for the next batch to get re-mobilized.

Upon registration, you are given your platoon. There are 10 platoons in the camp. The last digit of your state code number becomes your platoon. But if the number is 0, it means you are in platoon 10. Also, after this registration process, you proceed to opening of account in which NYSC will use to pay your monthly allowance. Representatives from the bank will be at the orientation camp which means that there will be no need to go outside.

NOTE: During the orientation camp, you are not allowed to go outside the camp except on permission which must be for health reasons or when preparing for the carnival. When preparing for the carnival, about 2 people from each platoon are permitted to go outside in order to purchase some important items which will be needed.

The third day of the orientation camp is the swearing in ceremony and at that time, you are no longer referred to as prospective corps members but rather corps members. The swearing in ceremony is done by the governor of the state where you are deployed or his representative. The orientation camp is fully regimented. This means that every activities has been timed and you might not have much time for yourself.

Every day, you wake up around 5am for the morning devotion and parade and go to bed around 10pm. The morning parades last till about 7:30 to 8am. Then you go for your morning meal (breakfast). For this breakfast, you need to present your meal tick in order to partake out of it. The meal ticket is given to you immediately after registration. The orientation camp activities include the following;

1) Morning devotion and Parade
2) Breakfast
3) Morning lectures: This is also a very important part of the orientation camp. The lectures here includes but not limited to the following; Custom and tradition of the land, Security lectures, CDS lectures, Entrepreneurship, HIV/AIDS, SDGs, NDLEA, SAED etc. do not miss any part of these lectures.
4) Break/lunch
5) SAED: Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development. The slogan of SAED is Corps members creating wealth
6) Registration
7) Afternoon parade
cool Compound cleaning/sanitation
9) Fellowship: There are basically 3 fellowships in the orientation camp which includes; Nigeria Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF), National Association of Catholic Corpers (NACC) and Muslim Corpers Association.
10) Dinner
11) Social activities at night
12) Sunday activities etc

Each of these activities are important for all corps members and as such do not think to miss any. Although there are some groups or unit in the orientation camp in which corps members can function. They include; Band group, Orientation Broadcasting Service (OBS), Red Cross, Medical and more. For those who cannot cope with the kind of food been prepared by the orientation camp kitchen, the camp market, also known as mammy market is available for your service. But spend prudently.

During the orientation camp exercise, the Director General of NYSC visits the orientation camp. Although, most time it is done by his representatives because he cannot be everywhere at the same time. His visit is always accompanied with the donation of a cow. This cow is used for the carnival on the second to the last day on camp.
In going for the orientation camp exercise, you are to go with the following items. Note that for the documents in which photocopy will be needed, make as many copies as possible else prepare to pay higher to run the photocopy in the camp.

1) Statement of result, original and photocopy
2) Green card, original and photocopy
3) Medical fitness test result
4) Call up letter
5) University Identification card
6) Passports photographs (about 15 copies is advised)
7) White shorts
cool White t shirts
9) White canvass
10) Waist pouch
11) Food flask and cutlery sets
12) Bucket
13) Torch light
14) Nice clothes for Sunday service
15) Nice clothes for carnival (preferably jeans)
16) Bed sheet
17) Mosquito net
The following items are not allowed into the camp
1) Laptop
2) Boiling ring
3) Electric iron
4) Knife
5) Extension sockets

Apart from Sunday service and carnival, corps members in the orientation camp are not permitted to put on any other cloth apart from white and white or 6/7

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU
You do not just expect certain things form NYSC during the orientation camp exercise. NYSC also has high but few expectations from you
1) Participate in all activities: The orientation camp exercise is for you and thus you must be actively involved
2) Be well behave: As much as the exercise lasts for only 21 days, it is expected that you must be well behaved within these few days.

APPLYING FOR REDEPLOYMENT
During the orientation camp exercise, redeployment is opened for corps members who has reasons why the environment or state will not be favorable to them. Redeployment is granted on the following conditions
1) Health challenge: This is the most crucial reason why NYSC will approve your redeployment. If you have a health challenge in which you are sure that you cannot serve in the state where you are been posted to, then you can apply for redeployment
2) Marriage: Although this is mainly opened to female corps members. If you are married, you will be redeployed to the state where your husband resides. For this, you must present your evidence of marriage like marriage certificate and wedding pictures.
https://infoducation.com.ng/2018/04/18/what-you-need-to-know-about-orientation-camp/
ALLOWANCE IN THE CAMP
During the orientation camp, NYSC gives three main allowance. The first allowance is called transport allowance which is the sum of ₦1500. This allowance serves as a subsidy to the money you paid for transportation to the orientation camp. The second allowance is called bicycle allowance. It is the sum of ₦1000 which carters for all your transportation in the camp. Although you never traveled in the camp. The third allowance is your first monthly allowance which is the sum of ₦19,800. This money is given cash on the last Saturday of the orientation camp.

END OF ORIENTATION CAMP
The orientation camp exercise lasts for 21 days. It closes on the 21st day as the Governor of the state or his representative comes for the event. It is on that day that you receive your posting letter in order to know the Local Government you are been posted to. Let me advice that at this point, do not be in a hurry to leave the camp. Yes 21 days is way too long and you want to leave immediately. But wait a little bit and do not rush to where you do not know.

If you actively participated in the Fellowships while in the camp (Although I am only sure of NCCF), free buses are made available to convey corps members to the respective local governments of assignment. The Local Government also sends buses to come and carry their corps members, although it is not free. Other bus companies also come for business. But make sure that you find out exactly where you are going so as not to be cheated. More than 80% of corps members has not visited the local government where they are posted, therefore you must be very careful.

We wish you a happy service year.

Christianity EtcBishop Declares Doom For Nigeria If Buhari Returns To Power by chikachuks1(op): 4:13pm On Apr 16, 2018
Bishop Emmanuel Olisa Chukwuma, the Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, has once again declared doom for Nigeria if President Muhammadu Buhari is allowed to return to office in 2019.

Few days back, the bishop said that voting Buhari back into power would be disastrous.

Chukwuma, who is also the Bishop of Enugu Diocese, had earlier advised President Buhari not to seek re-election in 2019.

President Buhari had earlier last week threw his hat into the ring to run again for the presidential seat under the All Progressives Congress, APC. Bishop Chukwuma told Sun that allowing Buhari to continue in power would amount to perpetuating evil and suffering in the country.

Bishop Chukwuma said, “I don’t think he [Buhari] has declared. It is this propaganda by people milking the country through him.
“He said the way he met the meeting, he might decide now to run and yield to the callings of the people.

“Allowing Buhari to continue is perpetuating evil and suffering. I don’t hate him, he may have his own integrity, but the people around him are the problem. They want to use him to continue to sap this nation.

“It is important that Nigerians should pray and I have said it that anybody who is not interested in making Nigeria change for better, God will not allow that person to live to rule. Anybody may declare today, but if God said the person will not see 2019, he will not see it.”

Christianity EtcPope Benedict XVI Celebrates 91st Birthday by chikachuks1(op): 4:06pm On Apr 16, 2018
Former Pope Benedict XVI is due to spend his 91st birthday in “quiet and peace,’’ This was reveled by the Vatican’s on Monday.

Benedict was due to have a little celebration in the Vatican monastery where he has retired, with his 94-year-old brother Georg Ratzinger, his Secretary Archbishop Georg Gaenswein said.

Born Joseph Ratzinger in Bavaria, Southern Germany, Benedict became in 2013 the first pope to resign in nearly 600 years, citing the strains of old age.

Since then, he has lived a life of prayer inside the Vatican gardens and rarely ventured out, staying true to a promise to remain “hidden to the world.”

In February, he said in a letter to Italian daily Corriere della Sera, that he was preparing to meet his maker: “As my physical strength slowly fades, I am on an interior pilgrimage towards home.”‎ he said.

NYSCDear Ex Corps Member, Nigeria Has Nothing For You by chikachuks1(op): 12:45pm On Apr 13, 2018
After NYSC what next? This is a multi million dollar question which many corp members fail to answer even on the day of the passing out parade. Many years were spent in secondary and tertiary institutions and the one year for the National Youth Service Corp. It is expected that if your life had no direction during your school days, then within the one year of your National Service, give it a direction. But unfortunately, I have met with many corp members at the verge of passing out with this simple question: After NYSC, what next? Unfortunately the answer that was widely given is “I don’t know”. If at the point of passing out you do not know what next, then when do you intend to know it?

It a bitter and sad truth that the country has no plans for her youths. Truth be told, the double allowance you receive before your passing out parade is the governments’ way of saying “we have settled you, we owe you nothing again”. After NYSC, all roads leads to the labour market. Many people call it favour market, but what so ever you choose to call it, it is still a market. The rat race for survival automatically begins at this point and you must get something doing else…
https://infoducation.com.ng/2018/04/13/dear-ex-corps-member-nigeria-has-nothing-for-you/
Although it may not be easy, yet it will be easier for those who has already planned themselves. Unfortunately as we see in the country that there are not jobs, we must get something doing. If the the job does not look for you, go look for the job. Below is a picture on an article in the Ebocopa magazine for the 2017/2018 Batch A corps members on page 19. The article is titled get something doing. On the picture, crafts in which one can involve his or herself we shown. But unfortunately, looking at the picture closely is a clear proof that the government has no plans for you.

On the picture, you see a young man working as a bus conductor. Another one as a bike man (Okada). Another as a pure water hawker and so on. The question is, “how do we expect graduates to get involved in bus conductor, okada and hawking?” As much as we talk about humbling yourself and starting small, this one is really out of it. A closer look at the society will make you understand that the higher percentage of touts in town are those involved in bus conductor.
After many years of refinement in the higher institution, the government wants you to become unrefined again.

Once again, truth be told, Nigeria Government has no plans for her youths. As much as we complain that there are no jobs in the country, yet Nigeria has enough money to create employments for the youths or even sponsor empowerment schemes that will in turn create jobs. Beloved ex corps members, may I sadly inform you that Nigeria has no plan for your welfare. The country owes you a lot but might not pay you a dime. Actually, it is supposed to be that after serving the country for one year, the country should serve you for life. But I don’t seem to understand how the opposite became the case. You serve your country and your country in turn does nothing for you.
https://infoducation.com.ng/2018/04/13/dear-ex-corps-member-nigeria-has-nothing-for-you/
Therefore, at this point, wise up and help yourself. Start something little but be mindful of what you get yourself involved in. Little drops of water makes a mighty ocean. Be industrious. A frustrated man is a man who gives up on himself. If the government and environment has given up on you, make sure you do not give up on yourself. Get something doing. An idle man is the devils workshop so therefore get busy. Though it might not be rosy but tough times to not last. Rather, tough people do. See it as though nobody owes you anything. Work and work very hard.

During the Passing Out Parade, more than 2,000 corps members Passed out from Ebonyi state. Then multiply the number by 37 and see what it is. Then as the government of her plans for this people. You will find out that there are absolutely no plans. The government has failed in her responsibility, but that is not a reason for you to fail. Work and walk your way to the top and God will help you. If you have a skill please put it to use. If you are knowledgeable in one way or the other, please do not slack. Put your hands somewhere.

NYSCCongratulations To 2017/2018 Batch A Stream 1 Corp Members by chikachuks1(op): 3:19am On Apr 13, 2018
Indeed, what has a beginning must surely have an end. We hereby gladly share in the joy of the 2017/2018 batch A Stream 1 corp members as the celebrate their passing out parade (POP) from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The service year started on 23rd of May 2017 and was successfully concluded on 12th of April 2018.

We understand how great a day it was for all the Batch A corps members who took part in the passing out parade. The National Youth Service Corps is a scheme which is intended to bridge the gap between when the student finishes from higher institution to when they get a job in a bid to foster National unity.

It can only be God who has seen us through thus far. Though some bad things happened, yet God kept us all. At this point we celebrate you all because there will be no more Community Development Service (CDS). No more Place of Primary Assignment (PPA). No more clearance and query. But you must also remember that there is no more allowance from the Federal Government.

Therefore, it is time to become industrious and face the challenges of life as they come. White collar jobs may not come, yet you are responsible for your actions and in-actions. At this point, it is time to start up something. you must not lazy about because there is no excuse. Once again, we say a big congratulations to all the Batch A 2017/2018 corps Members as they speed up to the labour market and we pray that the Most High God will make room for each and everyone of you.

The multi million dollar question at this point is, “AFTER NYSC, WHAT NEXT?”. Make sure you have answered this question before now. He who fails to plan invariably plans to fail. Life may not go as you think but ensure that you have a clear direction.

EducationWhat You Need To Know Before Applying For Scholarship by chikachuks1(op): 10:02pm On Apr 10, 2018
Kudos to those organizations, groups and individuals who see the need of giving out scholarships in order to help the lower class students gain admission and comfortably study. Scholarships are great lifter of financial burdens to undergraduates. One of the greatest mistake I made in my undergraduate years was not applying for any scholarship at all, although to some extent, it was wise because if I had applied and was invited for the scholarship examination, I would have to transport fair to transport myself to the venue.

But the truth is that as much as possible, never miss any scholarship examination if you are in the condition and situation of financial difficulty. Are you a student with financial difficulty but yet you are very intelligent and brilliant, scholarship will save you a lot of stress and unnecessary thoughts. Scholarship schemes are set in place in order to enable those born without a silver spoon to benefit and have a nice, wonderful and quality education.

For example, MTN scholarship pays about ₦200,000 yearly. Wow what a whooping sum it is. This amount can pay your fees in any public institution in the country. Therefore, this money will go a long way in shaping and reshaping your life. Imagine after paying your school fee of about ₦50,000 from this money, you are left with about ₦150,000. To the wise in heart and the business inclined undergraduates, this money is enough to start up something small in the campus. Above all, daddy and mummy are able to save the money they should have use to pay your school fee in some other important things.

What shall I say and what shall I not say? Scholarships are always available at all times but, do you have what it takes to gain one. Many organizations give out scholarship on the condition that the CGPA of the applicant at the end of the first year or any year involved must be a minimum of 3.5. The standard is not actually high but rather, it is to make sure that the applicants read well in order not to waste their hard earned resources on unserious students. If you can achieve this target in your first year, then you are qualified to apply for any scholarship of your choice.

There are many websites through which you can get scholarship information from. Some of these websites include; myscholarshipportal, worldscholarshipforum, infoducation, coursesabroad etc. Therefore follow these websites and I doubt if you will miss any scholarship information.

Give it a trial, if you gain the scholarship, you will not regret it. Although you must be careful in seeking and searching for scholarship information because there are lots of dubious guys out there who use this scheme to dupe some innocent applicants and collect their money and you will never see them or trace them and worst of it all is that there is nothing you can do. They print fake application forms and sell it for an amount. Sometimes, you might not see them again or even if you see them again, they keep formulating fake information. By so doing, you stand the risk of losing the money you should have used in something better. Be very careful my friend not to fall into the wrong hands.

Education12 Campus Businesses You Can Do by chikachuks1(op): 3:55pm On Apr 07, 2018
The campus environment is one of the best places to do business. It is a compressed community of students which are confined within a geographical location. In this article I will outline 12 different campus businesses you can start in your own campus. I will provide little insight on each of them, but if you need clarification, feel free to contact me. No charges attached. We are aimed at building campus CEOs which will use the campus as a platform to build their own fortunes. To that end, this article is carefully prepared to fulfill that goal. If you can read and apply the knowledge from this little piece, you will thank me later.

Some student go with only the G.P. mindset. I wish to inform you that you can be a successful business student and yet make much fortunes for yourself in the campus. Pay attention and read this piece which I have carefully prepared.

Business centre
Running a business centre in the campus is one of the most lucrative businesses you can do as an undergraduate. Remember once again that our aim at infoducation is to help students grow up to become independent while in the campus and we will stop at nothing to achieve this aim. In the campus, business center services are in high demand because of the day to day need of the student. If you get involved in this business, you can never run out of market except during break or if you do not promote your business well. This Campus business could be very lucrative if you do it as a student. You stand the chance of meeting your fellow students to tell them about what you do. Guess what? They will in turn support you by bring jobs and also telling other about you, provided you treat them well.

Blogging
Blogging is one of the relevant campus businesses you can delve into. Although the blogosphere is almost saturated, yet fortunes could still be made from it. Just get a niche which you can promote in the campus environment. For example, infoducation is one of such lucrative blogs for the campus environment because it addresses issues relevant to campus. In this campus business, consider niches like scholarship, job, school news and others. If you play your part well you will enjoy blogging.
https://infoducation.com.ng/2018/04/07/campus-business-2/
Freelance writer
If you have writing as your skill, then consider freelance writing so that your skill will be converted to money. There are lots of websites that accepts the services of a freelance writer and popular among them is fiverr. Check it out for yourself and convert some revenue for yourself. This campus business is indeed lucrative because it might not take much of your time. You can freely combine it with your studies and other activities.

Tailoring
Tailoring! Tailoring!! Tailoring!!! Do you have a sowing skill, then there is no better place to make it good than the campus environment. This business is very lucrative because young people pay attention to looking nice so as to attract attention. If you are a good tailor, please do not let your skill to lay fallowed. Use it wisely and convert revenue for yourself.

Author a student related book
While looking for campus business to do, consider authoring a student related and friend book that could be marketable in the campus. If you school has about 10,000 student and you are able to author a book that will be accepted to about 20% of the population, that will convert so well. If you author a book in which you make a profit of 100 naira per copy, and 2,000 students in your campus buys the book, you have a whooping profit of 200,000 naira which could help you start up one of these campus businesses I outline here.
https://infoducation.com.ng/2018/04/07/campus-business-2/
Become a middle man
One campus Business that I know can convert well is becoming a middleman between students and companies. There are lots of companies that need services of students to be able to penetrate into that campus environment. I have one of such businesses and if you are interested, contact me on whatsapp via the number it will provide below. Also you can become a registered distributor for Jumia, Konga, Yudala and other online markets. Becoming a recharge card dealer will also be nice.

Graphic design
Graphic design is another nice campus business. I bet you if you are a good graphic designer, you cannot go hungry in the campus. There are lots of programmes going on in the campus. These programmes needs publicity and as such a good graphic designers’ job will be needed.

Web design
If you can create a website, then you are good to go. One standard website you create can feed you for 3 months. Meanwhile creating little sites like blogs will also convert for you. Campus businesses are very lucrative nowadays. With the pervasive explosion of the internet, every business wants to have an online presence. Therefore, you are in the right part if you are a website designer.

Organize seminars
If you have knowledge on certain area of life that has to do with students, the consider organizing seminars to teach. In the campus, this business of organizing seminars has turned some students to millionaires. The registration fee they pay if combined together will amount to a large amount. Also, if you preform very well, others will invite you to speak at events. You will end up turning in huge fortunes as a student. Just be sure that you have ample knowledge on what you teach.
https://infoducation.com.ng/2018/04/07/campus-business-2/
Organize tutorials
Teach tutorials in the campus. This is one of the most flourishing campus business. In my university, many students grew their fortunes through tutorials. With tutorials, students register with a certain amount. You also have the opportunity of selling some of your materials through your tutorial platform. Students need tutorials because they stand to understand their fellow student more than their lecturers. So go ahead and organize tutorials for them and get the money out of their pockets and wallets.

Mobile bookshop
The concept of a mobile bookshop is a nice but neglected campus business that could flourish in the campus arena. Since it’s a campus environment, everyone came in with the purpose of reading. Therefore getting a mobile bookshop will surely be a nice idea. It is mobile because I assume that you might not have enough money to rent a shop. Therefore, getting few number of readable and highly demanded books will not be bad. If you are interested in this campus business of owing and running a mobile bookshop, it is important to know that you must carefully the turnover of your books should be highly considered. Get the books that you can sell off immediately so as to buy more. Also, you can act as a middleman between students and the school bookshop. Get the books for the students and get your commission as small as it could be. I will suggest that in delving into this business, get books on relationship, finance, success, leadership and others that could be highly demanded in the campus environment. If you need more guide on this you can contact me on whatsapp via 07064635053

Gaming and Sporting center
Campus businesses keeps flourishing provided you know what you are into. Sports is everybody’s friend. If you have a sporting center, you will enjoy wealth. Understand that football is best watch with people. It is in watching football with others that you enjoy the fun. Therefore, people who have dishes in their house will still prefer to watch it with others just for the fun. Therefore, if you can get a nice place for rent or even a lecture hall with permission. You will do well.

If there is any point I made while presenting these campus businesses to you, which you think you need more clarification, feel free to use the comment box or contact me on whatsapp via 07064635053

Education5 Things To Do After School by chikachuks1(op): 3:09pm On Apr 02, 2018
After School, many young boys and girls wile away a good quantity of their time which they could have use for some profitable ventures. This is a mistake so many have done and many of them are currently regretting this mistake and as such, I have decided to put this little article together, peradventure it might be beneficial to few people. Let me start be saying that life is in stages and any time wasted cannot be regained at all. After secondary school, the next thing is to proceed to the university.

Between the time of your exit from secondary school and the time you gain admission in the university, it could be as long as permitting you to learn a very vital skill which might help you on the long run. Using the Nigerian academic system for example, it is expected that WAEC come before NECO and then NECO should end latest June. After NECO, you wait for between 2 – 4 months for you result. In between this time, you are expected to have written your JAMB and Post UTME. Then waiting for admission. With the current academic pattern of our country, the admission lists comes out around September upward. But unfortunately, with our nation’s education pattern, nobody can guarantee that you will get admission that same year.
https://infoducation.com.ng/2018/04/02/5-things-you-can-do-after-school/
I have come across many people who say they spend more than 2 years at home before gaining admission. Some say they spent 3 years, others 4 years and some even spent more. I spent 1 year at home but my eldest brother spent 4 years before gaining admission. One of my greatest regret so far is that I never learnt any skill within this one year of idleness. I wish I had an adviser who advised me to learn something profitable. Probably, some of the financial challenges I had in the University might had been overcomed. Therefore, looking at the mistake I made and the extent to which I have regretted it thus far, I will not want you to make such mistake as well. Do your best to engage in something profitable while you wait for admission into higher institution. Stay aloof for my book titled “the tough minded youth”. In the book, I treated most of what I am about to write and even more. This idea I a m about to share with you is what I term WWW in my book which means Work While Waiting. So expect it soon.

Without wasting much of your time, I will go straight to the point by listing 5 things I recommend for every secondary school leaver. Though, I do not wish to limit this article to only secondary school leavers. In Nigeria, after the Junior WAEC, the student still waits for about 4 months before continuing to SSS1. So therefore, turn every waiting time to a working and learning time. At this point, here we go.
https://infoducation.com.ng/2018/04/02/5-things-you-can-do-after-school/
1. Learn a trade or craft
Learning a trade or craft is one thing I highly recommend because of the nature of our country. Our country has become a battling ground where only the strong can survive. If only the strong can survive, then what is the lot of the weak? The weak ones will keep on dying like grasses. Most times, we get so disappointed in life because of the people we depend so much on. At one important time or the other, they fail us and indeed, it is not funny at all. One of the ways out of this mess is to learn a trade or craft. This will bring money to your way when no one will. It will also make you intentionally independent. Looking at our society, there are so much opportunities available for you. Many people claim that they do not know what to do or they cannot see what suits them.

Sadly, that us the excuse of a lazy person. Learn a craft that will be profitable to you on the long run. Do not learn the craft just to fulfill all righteousness or because I asked you to. By the way what and who guarantees that you will get a job with your certificate after the efforts you put into studies. Learn a craft and take it seriously. Some of the craft and trade you can learn, which I have seen and heard of some people who made much living from it even while in the campus are; tailoring, repairing phone, repairing generators, interior decoration, painting, driving, selling items (like, shoes, clothes, wrist watches) and lots more.

2. Get a computer skill
when I did my Industrial training in Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education in Owerri Imo state Nigeria back then in 2015, I was very happy with what I saw. I worked under the ICT section of the college and we organized a 3 months computer training for young people. To my surprise, 100% of our students were young boys and girl who just finished with their junior Certificate Examination and were all below 15 years. Within these 3 months, all of them were experts in the packages which they learnt. The packages they learnt include: Microsoft Word, powerpoint, excel, corel draw, publisher and appreciation. Really, you will be amazed with what a 12 year old girl will design for you after undergoing such a training. Therefore I highly recommend that at all cost, get a computer skill. If you have observed carefully, you will discover that we are in a digital world now and most of the high paying jobs require a great knowledge of computer. There are much computer programs available which has the ability of liberating you from poverty as long as you live on earth. There are many people who their major source of survival is graphic designing. Some it is website designing and so on. Therefore the computer skills I will recommend are, website designing, graphic designing, blogging, the computer skills earlier stated, database, networking and more.

3. Become a private lesson tutor
Instead of wiling away your precious time, you can also start upon extra lesson classes or seek a job in the already existing ones. It has been tested and proven that the best way of learning is by teaching. Prepare students for WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB and other examination body. About 30% of students today enroll in one extra lesson class in a bid to prepare themselves for their forthcoming examination. Therefore, seize this opportunity and convert it to your advantage. Although you need a great deal of knowledge in that particular subject for you to be able to do it. Therefore for the sake of the knowledge, the next thing you do after college is …
https://infoducation.com.ng/2018/04/02/5-things-you-can-do-after-school/
4. Keep reading
As much as learning never ends, reading should not also end. Reading should be a day to day habit for every student. In the campus, you will find out that in some cases, most of those student who spent years before gaining admission tend to have dull brains compared to those who got admission immediately. Since you cannot guarantee that you will gain admission immediately, then you must keep reading so that your brain will not lie fallow.

5. Get a part time job
The fifth thing you can do is to get a part time job. One of the reasons why I do like attending some entrepreneurship seminars is because the teachers teaches s if everybody must become an entrepreneur. If everybody is an employer, then who will be the employees. If everybody owns a company or business, then who will be our staff. There are people that must just have to work for others. If they want to be on their own, they might not make it. Therefore, you can also seek for a part time job to do while waiting. But unfortunately, many people seek jobs after college just because they want to buy good clothes and expensive phones. But it is not supposed to be so. Get a job that will pay you and then save out of the salary you are been paid.

At this point, I have given you this little tips but I expect you to do much with it. There is no time for the idea and lazy ones. Prosperity does not accommodate the lazy people. Therefore get busy, get busy and keep getting busy. If you like this article, you can share it on Facebook and other platforms, appropriately referencing the source. Once again, anticipate my book titled “the tough minded youth”. When the book is ready, it will be advertised on this website, so do not forget to keep coming back.
