I personally detest having to be married to someone for years...I mean how can one honeststly live with one person for years and years and years. I ld b bored to death.

Girls, try to work hard for urself. Dere r tons of opportunities in naija to make tons of money. Don't let married friends (most of which are miserable with their cheating husbands or whose mess they have to clean up after) or society bully u into something you are not prepared for. Have u seen d divorce rates in naija lately? Trippled from 2010.
I personally have my own business and in my early 20s...just finished NYSC and business is great. Make money, travel wide...dere r so many places to see ppl to meet, opportunities to discover, kids to adopt, lives to change and ppl to employ. Life is so much more about so many things besides marriage...peace out!

Marriage is an institution that will forever be cherished by those who appreciates what it stands for.

Marriage has never been classified "IMPORTANT". It is personal and doesn't at all require general opinion. But of course we are in 21st century where real knowledge and understanding is scarce. OP, Life is what you make it to be. Its your life so do as you so desire with it.

Just imagining -- if there were no religion in what name would there be this crisis going in the Northern Nigeria or most part of the world now? Religion has become a smoke screen for doing all sorts of evil and it is really disturbing. Is it how we practice our religion that is wrong or we are not just knowledgeable enough about what religion is and how it should be viewed? Why should a fellow human takes another's life because of religious believe? Why should I ever want to force what I believe in on others? If people admire what I believe-in shouldn't they freely want to be part of it?

Friend or enemy has no basis in marriage. Even if you married a total stranger or angel, the key is wisdom and understanding. Marriage is a different entity entirely and it is not easy to keep things going smoothly. Most people these days don't know anything about marriage and yet they want to get married, they believe it is all about the wedding. If you guys read the thread very well "the girl is from a rich family and would not take shit and husband would not keep off girls" --- To make their union work the lady must be ready to take a lot of shit and the husband must stop chasing other girls and cling only to his wife. You really don't need to marry a friend to understand the simple basics of Marriage. And the notion that a friend understands you better is wrong when it comes to marriage. Marriage is all about pleasing your partner and it takes a lot of sacrifice and even playing the fool sometimes.

@ PreseRver and Orikinla --- 90% of the people I know who want to own the world before they get married are still single today at 45. You only have to be objective about life and have a game plan and a flexible way of achieving the game plan. Happiness and fulfillment do not come with riches alone.

Outsiders admiration of a woman would only mean something to her if she doesn't get good compliments from the husband/partner.
Guys who don't compliment their partners(wives/girlfriends) get jealous when an outsider gives her the compliment.

Your story is one sided to me and there are two sides to a coin!!!

1. Did you marry a man who did not love you from the inception or he changed suddenly?
2. If there has been love-lost in the marriage how come you have 4 kids for him?
3. In what way have you really wronged him, like a betrayal? has he ever caught you cheating on him?
4. Does he love the 4 children at all ? Does he take care of them?
5. Has he had a change of fortunes in the negative direction since he married you?
